Introduction –  The extract of Crataegus monogyna shows sedative, hypotensive, vasodilator and cardio‐tonic actions. Although several papers dealing with the extraction of metabolites from Crataegus have been published, the plant productivity in terms of bioactive compounds is not easily understandable as yet. Objective –  To investigate the influence of the extraction mode on the yield of bioactive compounds from Crataegus monogyna Jacq. in order to evaluate plant productivity. Methodology –  Samples were prepared by extraction of powdered material obtained from top branches, flowers and leaves. Soxhlet extraction, maceration and ultrasound‐ and microwave‐assisted extraction at different experimental conditions were investigated for the exhaustive extraction of hyperoside, vitexin and vitexin‐2′′‐O‐rhamnoside. The phytocomponents were identified and quantified by HPLC‐UV/PAD, comparing HPLC retention times and UV spectra of individual peaks with those of the standards analysed under the same conditions. Results –  An easy‐to‐use HPLC isocratic method suitable for the quantification of hyperoside, vitexin and vitexin‐2′′‐O‐rhamnoside in raw plant extracts was developed. The optimised HPLC methodology was applied to evaluate different extraction procedures. The ultrasound and microwave‐assisted extraction protocols showed higher extraction efficiency than the others. In particular, the optimised microwave protocol gave rise to the highest extraction efficiency with high reproducibility. Conclusions –  A microwave protocol combined with isocratic HPLC analysis is proposed for the rapid screening of plant materials collected in different environmental conditions in order to evaluate the productivity of Crataegus monogyna Jacq. and to find out the best ecological conditions to cultivate hawthorn in Northern Italy. Because of its local commercial value, the proximate nutritional composition, fatty acid composition, cholesterol and fat‐soluble vitamins of spiny eel (Mastacembelus simack Walbaum, 1792) were determined in 20 specimens caught in Keban Dam Lake, Elaz??, Turkey in September 2009. Moisture, protein, lipid, ash and cholesterol contents of the spiny eel were 75.9, 17.1, 10.9, 1.0% and 52.6 mg per 100 g, respectively. Fatty acid composition showed that total polyunsaturated fatty acids (PUFA) were the highest (37.1%), followed by monounsaturated fatty acids (MUFA, 35.5%) and saturated fatty acids (SFA, 27.4%). The relation between PUFA and SFA (1.35) was comparable to that of some fish species, and PUFA : MUFA : SFA ratio (1.35 : 1.29 : 1) was very close to that recommended by nutritionists. Among the vitamins (A, D, E and K) analyzed, the vitamin E content was highest followed by D, K and A. In conclusion, M. simack is rich in proteins, unsaturated fatty acids and vitamins and low in cholesterol, with a reasonable PUFA : SFA and PUFA : MUFA : SFA ratio as recommended by nutritionists. M. simack can therefore be recommended for human consumption as a good source of nutrition.  相似文献

Summary The fate of fruits from a population of European hawthorn (Crataegus monogyna) in western Oregon, USA, was examined over a two-year period. Only one frugivore, the American robin (Turdus migratorius) foraged on the C. monogyna fruits, making this an unusually straightforward fruit-frugivore system. Dispersal efficiency was low, with an average 21% of seeds being dispersed (carried away from parent plants) each year; the most common fate of fruits was to simply fall. Robins dropped 20% of the fruits that they picked, and defecated/regurgitated 40% of the fruits (seeds) that they swallowed, beneath parent plants. One trait, gruit abundance, strongly affected the probability of bush visitation by robins, bushes with larger fruit displays being preferred. Both absolute dispersal success (number of seeds) and dispersal efficiency (proportion of seeds; success per propagule) were also found to be correlated most strongly with initial fruit abundance. Individual plant fecundity and fruit quality were found to vary little between years; as a result, dispersal efficiencies for individual plants were also annully consistent. Larger (older) plants produced more fruits and therefore had higher fitness. These results suggest that the optimal fruiting strategy for C. monogyna is therefore to get as big as possible as quickly as possible by delaying fruiting until later in life.  相似文献

Introduction – Polyphenolic phytochemicals in traditionally used medicinal plants act as powerful antioxidants, which aroused an increasing interest in their application in functional food development. Objective – The effect of extraction time (5 and 15 min) and hydrolysis on the qualitative and quantitative content of phenolic compounds and antioxidant capacity of six traditionally used medicinal plants (Melissa officinalis L., Thymus serpyllum L., Lavandula officinalis Miller, Rubus fruticosus L., Urtica dioica L., and Olea europea L.) were investigated. Methodology – The content of total phenols, flavonoids, flavan‐3‐ols and tannins was determined using UV/Vis spectrophotometric methods, while individual phenolic acids, flavones and flavonols were separated and detected using HPLC analysis. Also, to obtain relevant data on the antioxidant capacity, two different assays, (2,2‐azino‐bis(3‐ethylbenzthiazoline‐6‐sulphonic acid) (ABTS) radical scavenging and ferric reducing/antioxidant power (FRAP) assays were used. Results – The extraction efficiency of phenolics, as well as the antioxidant capacity of plant extracts, was affected by both prolonged extraction and hydrolysis. The overall highest content of phenolic compounds was determined in hydrolyzed extract of blackberry leaves (2160 mg GAE/L), followed by the non‐hydrolyzed extract of lemon balm obtained after 15 min of extraction (929.33 mg GAE/L). The above extracts also exhibited the highest antioxidant capacity, while extracts of olive leaves were characterized with the lowest content of phenolic compounds, as well as the lowest antioxidant capacity. The highest content of rosmarinic acid, as the most abundant phenolic compound, was determined in non‐hydrolyzed extract of lemon balm, obtained after 15 min of extraction. Although the hydrolysis provided the highest content of polyphenolic compounds, longer extraction time (15 min) was more efficient to extract these bioactives than shorter extraction duration (5 min). Conclusion – The distribution of detected phenolic compounds showed a wide variability with regard to their botanical origin.   • Within‐individual trait variation – otherwise known as sub‐individual variation – is an important component of phenotypic variation, with both a genetic and epigenetic basis. We explore its adaptive value and the effects of ontogeny and the environment on sub‐individual variability.
  • We conducted a field study to analyse the effects of tree age, soil pH, soil water content and soil nutrients on sub‐individual variability in fruit size of hawthorn (Crataegus monogyna) in three sites in northwest Spain. Additionally, we examined how bird‐mediated selection influences average and sub‐individual variation in fruit size.
  • Results show that average and sub‐individual variations in fruit size were related to fitness affecting seed dispersal. Older trees produced larger fruits, but tree age did not affect sub‐individual variation in fruit size. Abiotic environmental factors differently affected sub‐individual variation and average fruit size. Seed‐dispersing birds exerted correlated selection on average and variation in fruit size, favouring trees with larger and less variable fruit size at one site.
  • Our work suggests that the fruit size variation within individual trees, the sub‐individual variation, is modified by abiotic environmental factors and, additionally, is an adaptive trait that responds to natural selection.

Five species of larval parasitoids were reared fromRhagoletis pomonella (Walsh) infested fruit of hawthorn,Crataegus, collected from several locations in southwest Washington over a four year period. A braconid,Biosteres melleus (Gahan), parasitized larvae infesting fruits of a native hawthorn species,Crataegus douglasii Lindl. Another braconid,Opius downesi Gahan, emerged exclusively fromR. pomonella pupae reared from fruits of an introduced species of hawthorn,Crataegus monogyna Jacq. A pteromalid,Pteromalus sp., and two eulophids,Tetrastichus spp., attackedR. pomonella larvae infesting fruits of both hawthorn species. No parasitoids emerged from a total of 4385 pupae reared from apple. Percent parasitism ofR. pomonella was higher inC. monogyna compared toC. douglasii fruits. The highest average levels of parasitism ofR. pomonella inC. monogyna andC. douglasii fruits were 90% and 23% respectively. The kinds of parasitoids, their relative abundances and timing of parasitization on the two hawthorns was related to differences in fruit ripening patterns and its effect on the development ofR. pomonella on these two hosts. Parasitization ofR. pomonella byTetrastichus spp. is a new host record. The detection of these species andPteromalus sp. in southwest Washington are the first records of ectoparasitoids attacking this tephritid.  相似文献

In this study, Ca oxalate crystals were isolated from the leaves and X-ray diffraction identified them as weddelite in Crataegus pontica C. Koch, C. stevenii Polar., C. monogyna ssp. monogyna Jacq. in C. orientalis var. orientalis Pallas ex Bieb. both whewellite and weddelite crystals were found. Although there were some differences among the soluble and insoluble oxalate contents, they were not notable in the species of C. stevenii (10%; 18%), C. orientalis (12.4%; 15%), C. monogyna (12.9%; 13%), whereas in C. pontica the difference was so great with the lowest soluble (4%), and highest (28%) insoluble oxalate content. Crystals have tetragonal or prismatic shape in general but tetrahedral kinked and straight shapes were seen in C. orientalis, tetragonal aggregates in C. stevenii, and also pseudo-tetrahedral cordate (heart) shape were found in C. monogyna ssp. monogyna and C. pontica. As the crystal biomineralization is under genetic control, this characteristic hydration state of crystals of Crataegus orientalis var. orientalis must be important for systematic phylogenetics.  相似文献

Investigations were carried out on the effects of Penicillium digitatum and Fusarium oxysporum on the nutritional value of pawpaw (Carica papaya). Decreases were observed in ash content, phosphorus, sodium, reducing sugars and ascorbic acid levels of fruits infected with P. digitatum, but increases in calcium and potassium content. In fruits infected by F. oxysporium, there were decreases in phosphorus, calcium, sodium ascorbic acid and reducing sugar levels; but the levels of ash content increased. The total protein level increased in the fruits infected with both fungi. These results revealed a reduction in fruit quality.  相似文献

Introduction – The consumption of new exotic fruits, with their high nutritional and sensory value, has significantly increased in the past few years. Among the tropical fruits durian (Durio zibethinus Murr.) is less known than mango (Mangifera indica L.) and avocado (Persea americana). It has been shown that durian, mango and avocado possessed high nutritional and bioactive properties, but these data were determined using different methods. In order to obtain reliable results we investigated samples of durian, mango and avocado of the same stage of ripeness and unified methods were used for determination of the antioxidant potential. As far as we know, no results of such comparative investigation of three tropical fruits (durian, mango and avocado) and the use of such tests for phytochemical control have been published. Objective – Lyophilised durian, mango and avocado samples harvested in 2008 in Thailand and Israel were investigated. Methodology – The contents of crude protein, fat, carbohydrate, dietary fibre, total polyphenols, flavonoids, tannins and flavanols were determined by elemental analysis and UV spectroscopy. The presence of polyphenols (flavonoids and phenolic acids) in the investigated samples was studied by Fourier transform infrared (FT‐IR) spectroscopy and three‐dimensional fluorometry. Four complementary radical scavenging assays were used for antioxidant determination: ferric reducing antioxidant power (FRAP), 2, 2‐azino‐bis (3‐ethyl‐benzothiazoline‐6‐sulfonic acid) diamonium salt (ABTS?+), 1‐diphenyl‐2‐picrylhydrazyl method (DPPH) and cupric reducing antioxidant capacity (CUPRAC). Chemometrical processing was used for statistical comparison of the fruits. Results – All spectrometric measurements were highly correlated. The contents of total fibre, proteins and fats were significantly higher (p < 0.05) in avocado, and carbohydrates were significantly lower in avocado (p > 0.05) than in the two other fruits. The wavelength numbers of FTIR spectra for three investigated fruits were in the same range (1700–600 cm?1) as for catechin and gallic acid, used as standards. One main peak could be easily observed at the approximate location of ex/em 275/305 nm and the other one at ex/em 350/430 nm in the methanol polyphenol extracts of investigated fruits in three‐dimensional fluorescence, in contour and cross fluorescence maps. Similarity was found between durian, mango and avocado in polyphenols (9.88 ± 1.0, 12.06 ± 1.3 and 10.69 ± 1.1, mg gallic acid equivalents/g dry weight, d.w.), and in antioxidant assays such as CUPRAC (27.46 ± 2.7, 40.45 ± 4.1 and 36.29 ± 3.7, µM Trolox equivalent (TE)/g d.w.) and FRAP (23.22 ± 2.0, 34.62 ± 3.4 and 18.47 ± 1.9, µM TE/g d.w.), respectively. The multisample median test between all possible pairs of groups is a Tukey–HSD type comparison and denotes the different groups in a case when a pair‐wise test is significant and its q statistical value is greater than the table q parameter. The multisample median test of FRAP values were chosen from the compared fruits triplets as similar or homogenous subsets durian and avocado. Conclusion – Nutritional and bioactive values of durian are comparable with these indices in mango and avocado. These fruits contain high, comparable quantities of basic nutritional and antioxidant compounds, and possess high antioxidant potentials. All fruits show a high level of correlation between the contents of phenolic compounds and the antioxidant potential. The methods used (three‐dimensional fluorescence, FTIR spectroscopy, radical scavenging assays) are suitable for bioactivity determination of these fruits. In order to receive best results, a combination of these fruits has to be included in the diet. The methods used are applicable for bioactivity determination in phytochemical analysis in general. In order to evaluate the fruit maturity value of ‘Hayward’ kiwifruit (Actinidia deliciosa) as material for wine production, ripened and over-ripened fruit samples were analyzed. In addition, the effect of pectinase enzyme treatment on physicochemical characteristics of the wine during the fermentation process was also examined. The results showed that wine production from ripening kiwifruit took almost twice as long as from over-ripened fruit. The yield of wine production was increased from 63.35% to 66.19% by using riper kiwifruits and adding pectinase before amelioration. The soluble solid content (13.5%) in the wine produced from over-ripened fruits increased in comparison with the wine produced from ripened samples (10.3%). In both groups there was a decrease to 5° Brix at the end of fermentation. Difference of fruit maturity did not have a significant effect on acidy, pH, nor color of wine. The highest scores of total acceptance estimated during fermentation were for wine made from over-ripened fruits. Total phenolics content and antioxidant activities were similar in both wine groups while the mineral content, especially potassium, in wine made from over-ripened kiwifruit was higher than wine produced from ripened fruits. In conclusion, the quality characteristics of kiwifruit wine made from over-ripened fruit treated with pectinase showed higher values of wine in many aspects such as sensory value, alcohol and total phenolics content, antioxidant activity, minerals and production yield.  相似文献

In the current study, the effect of frozen storage at ?18°C was evaluated on fatty acid composition of different body parts (liver, muscle tissue, and viscera) of narrow‐barred Spanish mackerel (Scomberomorus commerson, Lacépède, 1800), longtail tuna (Thunnus tonggol, Bleeker, 1851), kawakawa (Euthynnus affinis, Cantor, 1849), king mackerel (Scomberomorus guttatus, Bloch & Schneider, 1801), and rainbow sardine (Dussumieria acuta, Valenciennes, 1847) caught in the Persian Gulf. Changes in saturated fatty acids (SFAs), monounsaturated fatty acids (MUFAs), polyunsaturated fatty acids (PUFAs), eicosapentaenoic acid plus docosahexaenoic acid/palmitic acid (EPA+DHA/C16), ω3 PUFA/ω6 PUFA (ω3/ω6), and polyunsaturated fatty acids/saturated fatty acids (PUFA/SFA) were investigated during a 6‐month period. A decrease in unsaturated fatty acids, particularly PUFAs (60–100%) as well as ω3/ω6, EPA+DHA/C16 (polyene index) and PUFA/SFA ratios, indicated a decrease in the nutritional values of the samples.  相似文献

Antioxidants present in fruits and vegetables may help prevent some chronic diseases such as cancer, arthritis, and heart disease. Tomatoes provide a major contribution to human dietary nutrition because of their widespread consumption in fresh and processed forms. A tomato introgression line population that combines single chromosomal segments introgressed from the wild, green fruited species Lycopersicon pennellii in the background of the domesticated tomato, Lycopersicon esculentum, was used to identify quantitative trait loci (QTL) for nutritional and antioxidant contents. The concentration of ascorbic acid, total phenolics, lycopene and β-carotene, and the total antioxidant capacity of the water-soluble fraction (TACW) were measured in the ripe fruits. A total of 20 QTL were identified, including five for TACW (ao), six for ascorbic acid (aa), and nine for total phenolics (phe). Some of these QTL (ao6-2, ao6-3, ao7-2, ao10-1, aa12-4, phe6-2, and phe7-4) increased levels as compared to the parental line L. esculentum. For lycopene content, we detected four QTL, but none increased levels relative to L. esculentum. The two QTL (bc6-2 and bc6-3) detected for β-carotene increased its levels. The traits studied displayed a strong environmental interaction as only 35% of the water-soluble antioxidant QTL (including TACW, ascorbic, and phenolic contents) were consistent over at least two seasons. Also, only two QTL for phenolics were observed when plants were grown in the greenhouse and none was detected for ascorbic or TACW. The analysis demonstrates that the introgression of wild germplasm may improve the nutritional quality of tomatoes; however regulation appears to be complex with strong environmental effects. M. The current study investigated the effect of developmental stages on the chemical composition and the antioxidant activity of fifteen crude oil samples obtained from Pistacia atlantica Desf. leaves, galls, and fruits. Twelve fatty acids were detected by GC/FID, linolenic acid (C18 : 3) was the major fatty acid detected in leaves crude oils that registered [41.73 % (P<0.05)] on the last stage. The best content of tocopherols and carotenoids was recorded at the last stage for leaves and galls oils, respectively, with values of [1.530±0.01, 0.52±0.01 (P<0.05) mg α‐tocopherol equivalent/g DW] and [86.60±0.95, 69.15±0.13 (P<0.05) μg β‐carotene equivalent/g DW]. For fruits oils, the content varied depending on the levels of fruits maturation. The results from DPPH, FRAP, and ABTS assays revealed that the antioxidant activity increased with the increasing content of tocopherols and carotenoids in leaves and galls oils during development stages, and varied for fruits oils depending on the ripening stages. Moreover, according to PCA analysis, the best phytoconstituent content and antioxidant activity were attributed to P. atlantica Desf. fruit's crude oils. Also, a strong relationship was found between the antioxidant activity and bioactive phytochemical components, such as tocopherols, carotenoids, and omega‐three fatty acid, which confirmed that P. atlantica Desf. crude oils present a valuable source of natural antioxidant that could be used for pharmaceutical and food industries purposes.  相似文献

Pollen limitation occurs when plants produce less fruits and/or seeds than they would with adequate pollen receipt. If the addition of cross-pollen to stigmas increases fruit/seed production, it is interpreted as an evidence of pollen limitation. Much of the limitation may be associated with the quality rather than quantity of pollen; however, most studies do not discriminate between the two, which may lead to misinterpretation of the results. We studied the effects of quality and quantity of pollen on the reproduction of a northern Spanish population of Crataegus monogyna. The treatments included self- and cross-pollination, and supplementation to open and bagged flowers. The response variables considered were number of pollen grains per stigma, pollen tubes per style, and initial and final fruit set. In the Cantabrian range, C. monogyna requires insect pollinators to set fruit and is partially self-incompatible. We found that the number of pollen tubes did not differ between cross- and self-pollination treatments; however, self-pollinated flowers set less fruits than flowers that received pure cross-pollen or were supplemented with both cross- and self-pollen. The experimental design allowed us to infer qualitative rather than quantitative pollen limitation. Comparison of the number of pollen grains and tubes, and initial and final fruit set among pollination treatments suggested post-zygotic embryo selection against selfed progeny.  相似文献

As the concentrations of essential vitamins and minerals and a number of other health‐promoting compounds are often low in stable crops, research is under way to understand and increase synthesis of phytochemicals in order to improve crop nutritional quality. The question addressed in this study is whether shoot genotypes or root genotypes with tolerant drought character are able to increase the fruit quality and production under moderate water stress. Zarina (drought tolerant) and Josefina (drought sensitive) were grafted self and reciprocally. The results showed that the use of cv. Zarina (drought tolerant) as rootstock (Zar × Jos) results in a greater number of fruits under water‐stress conditions, a moderate increase in some antioxidant compounds, such as ascorbic acid, phenols and flavonoids and lycopene and β‐carotene, and Zar × Jos showed high levels of sugars and organic acids, sweetness index and sugars : acids ratio, as well as important minerals, such as K and Mg, which could increase its nutritional quality under stress conditions. Overall, the use of drought‐tolerant rootstock could provide a useful tool to improve fruit yield and quality of cherry tomato fruit under moderate water stress, which in turn could mean lower costs in the use of irrigation water.  相似文献

Due to its nutritive and medicinal properties, berries of some Sorbus species are used for the preparation of jams and jelly as well as in traditional medicine. On the other hand, their chemical composition is not much studied especially of those grown in Balkan Peninsula. We have analyzed individual phenolics, tocopherols, carotenoids and chlorophylls using HPLC in berries from Sorbus aucuparia and Sorbus aria collected in different localities in Serbia and Montenegro together with the amounts of total phenolics and proanthocyanidins as well as their radical scavenging activity against DPPH radical. Berries of S. aucuparia were richer source of polyphenolics in comparision with S. aria and, regardless the species and locality, caffeoylquinic acids such as neochlorogenic and chlorogenic acid were the most abundant compounds. Among analyzed tocopherols the most abundant in all samples was α‐tocopherol (0.48 – 19.85 μg/g dw) as it was β‐carotene among carotenoids (mean concentration of 0.98 μg/g dw in S. aucuparia and 0.40 μg/g dw in S. aria, respectively). Correlation between total phenolics and DPPH radical scavenging activity was noticed. Our study represents comprehensive report on chemical composition of S. aucuparia and S. aria which could contribute to a better understanding of their quality.  相似文献

The genus Crataegus is well distributed in Turkey as a wild plant, with numerous, inherently variable species and genotypes. RAPD markers were used to study 17 hawthorn genotypes belonging to Crataegus monogyna ssp. monogyna Jacq (2 genotypes), C. monogyna ssp. azarella Jacq (1), Crataegus pontica K.Koch (3), Crataegus orientalis var. orientalis Pallas Ex Bieb (3), Crataegus pseudoheterophylla Pojark (1), Crataegus aronia var. dentata Browicz (1), C. aronia var. aronia Browicz (4), and Crateagus × bornmuelleri Zabel (2). The 10 RAPD primers produced 72 polymorphic bands (88% polymorphism). A dendrogram based on Jaccard’s index included four major groups and one outgroup according to taxa. The lowest genetic variability was observed within C. aronia var. aronia genotypes. The study demonstrated that RAPD analysis is efficient for genotyping wild-grown hawthorns.  相似文献

Abstract

Considerable interest has been shown in natural sources and their compounds in developing new therapeutically agents for different diseases. In this framework, investigations performed on this topic play a central role for human health and drug development process. Schisandra chinensis (Turcz.) Baill is a medicinal and edible plant showing highly advantageous bioactivity and nutritional value. The main bioactive compounds from its fruits are lignans, derivatives of dibenzocyclooctadiene whereas concerning its leaves, phenolic acids, and flavonoids are dominant. The purpose of this study was to investigate the enzyme inhibitory potential on selected carbohydrate hydrolases, cholinesterases, and tyrosinase of extracts from fruits and leaves of Schisandra in relation with their main bioactive compounds. Furthermore, the interactions between dominant compounds (schisandrol A, schisandrol B, schisandrin B, and cinnamic acid) from extracts and selected enzymes were investigated by molecular modeling and molecular dynamic studies in order to explain at a molecular level our findings.  相似文献

The fruit of Crataegus dahurica Koehne was used to treat the disease of infantile indigestion and dyspepsia as an ethnic medicine and food. As a continuous work on finding the active constituents from the edible herbs, four new biphenyl derivatives ( 1 – 4 ), together with two known compounds ( 5 and 6 ), were obtained from the petroleum ether fraction of the fruits of C. dahurica. Their structures were determined by the extensive 1D and 2D NMR spectra and HR‐MS spectrometry. Furthermore, the anti‐inflammatory activities of all the isolated compounds were investigated, in which compound 4 showed moderately inhibitory effects on NO production in RAW264.7 cells without inducing cytotoxicity.  相似文献

Despite the recognized importance of indirect plant–plant interactions for community structure, we still need to improve our current knowledge on how their outcomes are consistent in space and time, as well as reciprocal between participating species. These caveats are especially relevant in the case of indirect interactions mediated by animals, whose behavior may show high variability. We studied consistency and reciprocity of frugivore‐mediated interactions between fleshy‐fruited trees. For three years we examined the influence of crop size and neighborhood characteristics (con‐ and heterospecific fruit abundance and forest cover) on frugivory rates on Crataegus monogyna and Ilex aquifolium, two coexisting species in the secondary forests of the Cantabrian range that share a guild of frugivorous birds. Crop size and neighborhood characteristics influenced frugivory on C. monogyna and I. aquifolium. Both con‐ and heterospecific fruit abundance affected frugivory, evidencing the occurrence of indirect interactions between trees, although the strength and sign of these effects varied between tree species as well as across years within species. By showing complex temporal patterns in the consistency and reciprocity of indirect interactions, this study emphasizes the need for multispecific, long‐term studies to assess the actual contribution of animal‐mediated plant–plant indirect interactions to community dynamics.  相似文献
