Utilization of both probiotics and prebiotics in diet supplements and food products has gained a great interest because of their health benefits. In the present study, the effect of 6 commercially available prebiotic substances on the growth, acidifying activity, fatty acid profile and probiotic characteristics of Lactobacillus brevis NM101-1 was investigated in vitro for the development of synbiotic preparations. The results indicated the selective fermentability of prebiotics by the probiotic bacterial strain and absence of metabolism by pathogenic bacteria. Garlic and onion extracts as well as chicory flour as sources of inulin were the best carbon sources for growth and acidifying activity of the strain. The addition of onion extract to the medium exerted a significant influence on acetic acid production. However, the highest biosynthesis of lactic acid was recorded in the presence of glucose. Supplementation of MRS medium with prebiotic substances caused an increase in the ratio of unsaturated to saturated fatty acids of bacterial cells. Furthermore, resistance to gastrointestinal conditions, hydrophobicity and inhibition of bacterial pathogens as international guidelines for probiotics were enhanced by a combination of probiotic L. brevis and prebiotics which indicated that a convenient prebiotic substance have to be chosen for each probiotic bacterial strain for potential synbiotic preparation.  相似文献

Human feces were streaked onto MRS Agar adjusted to pH 2.5, 3.0, and 6.4, respectively, and medium supplemented with 1.0% (w/v) bile salts. Two aciduric strains, identified as Lactobacillus reuteri HFI-LD5 and Lactobacillus rhamnosus HFI-K2 (based on 16S rDNA and recA sequences), were non-hemolytic and did not hydrolyze mucin. The surface of Lactobacillus reuteri HFI-LD5 cells has a weak negative charge, whereas Lactobacillus rhamnosus HFI-K2 has acidic and basic properties, and produces exopolysaccharides (EPS). None of the strains produce bacteriocins. Both strains are resistant to several antibiotics, including sulfamethoxazole-trimethoprim and sulphonamides. The ability of Lactobacillus reuteri HFI-LD5 and Lactobacillus rhamnosus HFI-K2 to grow at pH 2.5 suggests that they will survive passage through the stomach. EPS production may assist in binding to intestinal mucus, especially in the small intestinal tract, protect epithelial cells, and stimulate the immune system. Lactobacillus reuteri HFI-LD5 and Lactobacillus rhamnosus HFI-K2 may be used as probiotics, especially in the treatment of small intestinal bacterial overgrowth (SIBO).  相似文献

The aim of this study was to enhance the viability of probiotic strains Pediococcus pentosaceus KID7, Lactobacillus plantarum KII2, Lactobacillus fermentum KLAB6 and Lactobacillus helveticus KII13 in gastrointestinal transit, freeze-drying condition and during storage time by microencapsulation using a combination of alginate, fenugreek gum and locust bean gum. The microcapsules were prepared using various ratio of alginate to fenugreek gum to locust bean gum and tested for its dissolution in colonic fluid. The combination that efficiently dissolved in colonic fluid was selected for co-encapsulation of the probiotic strains and prebiotics to produce synbiotic microcapsules. Further, we observed that the bacteria encapsulated with alginate-fenugreek gum-locust bean gum (AFL) matrix tolerated gastrointestinal condition efficiently compared to non-encapsulated bacteria. The encapsulated bacterial cells retained higher viability than non-encapsulated cells during freeze-drying condition and subsequent storage for 3 months at 4°C. These results show the utility of AFL matrix in microencapsulation of probiotics for use in food industry.  相似文献

Diarrhea is considered as an important cause of morbidity and mortality, even though one of the main reasons of death following diarrhea is initiated by dysentery. In recent years, the consumption of probiotics has been proposed for the treatment of infectious diarrhea. Despite most of the studies on probiotics have focused on acute watery diarrhea, few studies in the field of dysentery have found beneficial effects of probiotics. This study is a randomized double-blind clinical trial. The patients were randomly placed into control and case groups. In the intervention group, the patients received probiotics in the form of Kidilact® sachet, which contained high amounts of 7-strain friendly bacteria strains of Lactobacillus casei, Lactobacillus acidophilus, Lactobacillus rhamnosus, Lactobacillus bulgaricus, Bifidobacterium infantis, Bifidobacterium breve, and Streptococcus thermophiles. On the other hand, the patients in the control group received placebo sachets on a daily basis for 5 days. It is notable that the treatment protocol of acute dysentery was done on both groups. The results of this study showed significant differences in the duration of blood in diarrhea between probiotic consumers (2.62 days) and the control group (3.16 days) (P value = 0.05). Additionally, significant differences in the average length of hospitalization in probiotic consumers (3.16 days) and control (3.66 days), (P value = 0.02) could be claimed that the consumption of probiotics is effective in reducing the duration of dysentery and diarrhea. The results of this study suggest that the use of probiotics can be effective in reducing the duration of blood in diarrhea. This study was also recorded in the Iran center of clinical trials registration database (IRCT2014060617985N1).  相似文献

In a previous study, the synbiotic combination of selected Lactobacillus gasseri strains and Cudrania tricuspidata leaf extract (CT) was shown to significantly improve the functionality of fermented milk, and the greatest synbiotic effect was exhibited with L. gasseri 505. The aim of the present study was to investigate the growth kinetics and fermentation metabolism of this specific synbiotic combination. Fermentation was carried out in synthetic media and milk with or without CT supplementation using L. gasseri 505. Whole genome sequencing and comparative genomics analyses were conducted to verify the novelty of strain. Titratable acidity, pH, microbial population, and organic acid production were measured during the fermentation period. The addition of CT accelerated the acidification rate, supporting the growth of L. gasseri 505, and the production of fermentation metabolites such as lactic acid and pyruvic acid also significantly increased during fermentation of both of CT-supplemented synthetic media and milk. In particular, the formic acid and propionic acid in CT were significantly utilized during fermentation of milk by L. gasseri 505. Moreover, the antioxidant capacity of CT-supplemented fermented milk increased due to the release of bioactive compounds until the exponential growth phase, after which the antioxidant activity declined due to degradation and loss of potency. Therefore, this study established that L. gasseri 505 efficiently utilized the CT-related nutrients during fermentation producing resulting metabolites with health-promoting effects, although it is necessary to control the fermentation time to obtain dairy products with optimum functionality.  相似文献

Lactobacillus salivarius is a member of the indigenous microbiota of the human gastrointestinal tract (GIT), and some L. salivarius strains are considered as probiotics. Bile tolerance is a crucial property for probiotic bacteria to survive the transit through the GIT and exert their beneficial effects. In this work, the functional role of oppA encoding an oligopeptide transporter substrate-binding protein from L. salivarius Ren in bile salt tolerance was investigated. In silico analysis revealed that the oppA gene encodes a 61.7-kDa cell surface-anchored hydrophilic protein with a canonical lipoprotein signal peptide. Homologous overexpression of OppA was shown to confer 20-fold higher tolerance to 0.5 % oxgall in L. salivarius Ren. Furthermore, the recombinant strain exhibited 1.8-fold and 3.6-fold higher survival when exposed to the sublethal concentration of sodium taurocholate and sodium taurodeoxycholate, respectively, while no significant change was observed when exposed to sodium glycocholate and sodium glycodeoxycholate (GDCA). Our results indicate that OppA confers specific resistance to taurine-conjugated bile salts in L. salivarius Ren. In addition, the OppA overexpression strain also showed significant increased resistance to heat and salt stresses, suggesting the protective role of OppA against multiple stresses in L. salivarius Ren.  相似文献

This study investigated the use of a newly developed chitosan-Ca pectinate microbead formulation for the colon-targeted delivery of anti-A/B toxin immunoglobulin of egg yolk (IgY) to inhibit toxin binding to colon mucosa cells. The effect of the three components (pectinate, calcium chloride, and chitosan) used for the microbead production was examined with the aim of identifying the optimal levels to improve drug encapsulation efficiency, swelling ratio, and cumulative IgY release rate. The optimized IgY-loaded bead component was pectin 5% (w/v), CaCl2 3% (w/v), and chitosan 0.5% (w/v). Formulated beads were spherical with 1.2-mm diameter, and the drug loading was 45%. An in vitro release study revealed that chitosan-Ca pectinate microbeads inhibited IgY release in the upper gastrointestinal tract and significantly improved the site-specific release of IgY in the colon. An in vivo rat study demonstrated that 72.6% of biologically active IgY was released specifically in the colon. These results demonstrated that anti-A/B toxin IgY-loaded chitosan-Ca pectinate oral microbeads improved IgY release behavior in vivo, which could be used as an effective oral delivery platform for the biological treatment of Clostridium difficile infection (CDI).  相似文献

Due to problem of preservation of dairy products which serve as a matrix for probiotics, it is challenging to use these probiotics as food supplements in many developing countries. To determine the suitability of the Lactobacillus strains for exploitation as probiotics in honey, we investigated the effect of their storage on the viability, functionality, and the mechanism associated with their protective effect. Three isolates obtained from our laboratory collection were identified through amplification of the 16S rRNA gene. The viability of the strains in honey at different storage conditions was studied. Three genes (hdc, gtf, and clpL) responsible for the resistance of bacteria in acidic environments were screened. SDS-PAGE analysis of total protein was performed to observe protein profile changes of the strains after exposure to honey. All the three isolates, namely, GGU, GLA51, and GLP56, were identified as Lactobacillus plantarum strains. After 28 days of storage in honey at 4 °C, viable cell concentrations of the three strains were higher than 2.04?×?106 CFU/ml. During the same period at room temperature, only the Lactobacillus plantarum GLP56 strain remained viable with a cell concentration of 1.86?×?104 CFU/ml. The clpL gene coding for ATPase was detected in all the three strains. The protein of molecular weight ~?50 kDa was absent in the protein profile of Lactobacillus plantarum GGU after 60 days of storage in honey at 4 °C. The Lactobacillus plantarum GLP56, Lactobacillus plantarum GLA51, and Lactobacillus plantarum GGU strains exposed to honey can withstand acidic environmental stress but their viability declines over time.  相似文献

In view of emerging drug resistance in pathogens, there is a need to explore alternative strategies to combat infections. Use of probiotics is one such option. In this regard, efficacy of Lactobacillus plantarum has been reported against Staphylococcus aureus. Here, we propose that cell free supernatant (CFS) of Lactobacillus paraplantarum when used in combination with conventional antibiotics viz. ampicillin and oxacillin [to which the methicillin resistant Staphylococcus aureus (MRSA) strains were originally resistant] reduce the minimum inhibitory concentrations of these antibiotics, rendering the combination either synergistic or additive against the tested MRSA strain. The anti-staphylococcal activity was observed to be due to organic acids (acetic acid and lactic acid as confirmed by HPLC analysis) present in the CFS, as neutralization of the CFS with an alkali, sodium hydroxide (NaOH), caused the complete abrogation of its activity. The role of H2O2 and bacteriocin present in the CFS was also ruled out. The findings of this study suggest that cell free supernatant and ampicillin/oxacillin combination(s) might help in rejuvenating the use of conventional anti-staphylococcal antibiotics for the treatment of multi-drug resistant strains.  相似文献

A study was conducted to examine the effects of three probiotics, Lactobacillus sporogenes, Bacillus subtilis and Saccharomyces cerevisiae on the survival, growth and digestive enzymes activities of the freshwater prawn Macrobrachium rosenbergii post larvae (PL). The probiotics, L. sporogenes (4 %), B. subtilis (3 %) and S. cerevisiae (4 %) were taken and mixed with basal diet. Diet without probiotics served as control. These probiotics diets were fed to M. rosenbergii PL for a period of 60 days. After the feeding trail, the growth parameters such as survival, weight gain, specific growth rate and protein efficiency rate were found to be significantly (P < 0.05) higher in 4 % S. cerevisiae incorporated diet fed PL when compared with control. In the case of feed conversion rate just the reverse was seen (P < 0.05) at this concentration. This indicates its superior quality among different concentrations of probiotics tested. Activities of digestive enzymes, such as protease, amylase and lipase were significantly (P < 0.05) higher at this concentration (4 % S. cerevisiae). Some of essential and non-essential amino acids also significantly elevated in probiotics supplemented diet fed prawns. This study indicated that probiotics, S. cerevisiae incorporated diets were beneficial for M. rosenbergii in terms of increasing growth, enzyme and amino acid production.  相似文献

The emergence of antibiotic-resistant and food-spoilage microorganisms has renewed efforts to identify safe and natural alternative agents of antibiotics such as probiotics. The aim of this study was the isolation of lactobacilli as potential probiotics from local dairy products with broad antibacterial and anti-biofilm activities against antibiotic-resistant strains of Pseudomonas aeruginosa and determination of their inhibition mechanism. Antibiotic susceptibility and classification of acquired resistance profiles of 80 P. aeruginosa strains were determined based on Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) new definition as multidrug-resistant (MDR), extensively drug-resistant (XDR), and pan-drug-resistant (PDR) followed by antibacterial assessment of lactobacilli against them by different methods. Among the 80 P. aeruginosa strains, 1 (1.3%), 50 (62.5%), and 78 (97.5%) were PDR, XDR, and MDR, respectively, and effective antibiotics against them were fosfomycin and polymyxins. Among 57 isolated lactobacillus strains, two strains which were identified as Lactobacillus fermentum using biochemical and 16S rDNA methods showed broad inhibition/killing and anti-biofilm effects against all P. aeruginosa strains. They formed strong biofilms and had bile salts and low pH tolerance. Although investigation of inhibition mechanism of these strains showed no bacteriocin production, results obtained by high-performance liquid chromatography (HPLC) analysis indicated that their inhibitory effect was the result of production of three main organic acids including lactic acid, acetic acid, and formic acid. Considering the broad activity of these two L. fermentum strains, they can potentially be used in bio-control of drug-resistant strains of P. aeruginosa.  相似文献

In this study, the effects of orally administrated two native probiotics (Lactobacillus plantarum and Lactobacillus delbrueckii ssp. bulguricus), isolated from the intestine of Shabot fish, Tor grypus, on some immune response parameters and immune-related genes expression against Aeromonas hydrophila in T. grypus were evaluated. Four hundred and eighty juveniles weighing 45?±?10 g were randomly divided into four groups (with three replications) and fed with the experimental diet containing 5?×?107 cfu g?1 of L. plantarum (G1), Lactobacillus bulgaricus (G2), Lactobacillus casei (G3), and a control diet (without probiotics) for 60 continuous days. At the end of the dietary treatments, fish were challenged with a lethal concentration of A. hydrophila (5?×?108 CFU ml?1) via intra peritoneal (i.p) injection. Blood and head kidney samples were taken from six fish in each treatment before challenging and 6, 12, 24, and 48 h and also 7 days after injection. The results showed that lysozyme, complement, bactericidal, and NBT activity of probiotic-treated groups were significantly elevated (P?<?0.05). The IL-8, IL-1β, and TNF-α gene expressions were significantly higher in all probiotic-treated groups (P?<?0.05). Meanwhile, a high direct correlation was observed between serum immune parameters and expression of immune-related genes (P?<?0.0001); furthermore, the highest correlation (R 2?=?0.634, P?<?0.0001) was recorded between IL-1β expression and NBT activity. It can be concluded that not only two native probiotics strains stimulate serum immune responses parameters and immune-related gene expression in T. grypus, but also a high correlation was seen among these indices. The study suggests that gastrointestinal colonization is preferred for host specificity as the strain previously derived from shabot fish displayed better colonization than the non-indigenous bacteria strain such as L. casei. Therefore, these native probiotics bacteria can be accounted as suitable candidates to immune stimulation in fish.  相似文献

Nine wild Lactobacillus strains, namely Lactobacillus plantarum 53, Lactobacillus fermentum 56, L. fermentum 60, Lactobacillus paracasei 106, L. fermentum 250, L. fermentum 263, L. fermentum 139, L. fermentum 141, and L. fermentum 296, isolated from fruit processing by-products were evaluated in vitro for a series of safety, physiological functionality, and technological properties that could enable their use as probiotics. Considering the safety aspects, the resistance to antibiotics varied among the examined strains, and none of the strains presented hemolytic and mucinolytic activity. Regarding the physiological functionality properties, none of the strains were able to deconjugate bile salts; all of them presented low to moderate cell hydrophobicity and were able to autoaggregate, coaggregate with Listeria monocytogenes and Escherichia coli, and antagonize pathogenic bacteria. Exposure to pH 2 sharply decreased the survival of the examined strains after 1- or 2-h exposure; variable decreases were noted after 3-h exposure to pH 3. Overall, exposure to pH 5 and to bile salts (0.15, 0.3, and 1%) did not decrease the strains’ survival. Examined strains presented better ability to survive from the exposure to simulated gastrointestinal conditions in laboratorial media and milk than in grape juice. Considering the technological properties, all the strains were positive for proteolytic activity and EPS and diacetyl production, and most of them had good tolerance to 1–4% NaCl. These results indicate that wild Lactobacillus strains isolated from fruit processing by-products could present performance compatible with probiotic properties and technological features that enable the development of probiotic foods with distinct characteristics.  相似文献

Probiotics are defined as live micro-organisms, which when administered in adequate amounts, confer health benefits on the host. Scientists have isolated various strains of Lactobacilli from human milk (such as Lactobacillus fermentum and Lactobacillus salivarius), and the presence of these organisms is thought to be protective against breast infections, or mastitis.Trials of probiotics for treating mastitis in dairy cows have had mixed results: some successful and others unsuccessful. To date, only one trial of probiotics to treat mastitis in women and one trial to prevent mastitis have been published. Although trials of probiotics to prevent mastitis in breastfeeding women are still in progress, health professionals in Australia are receiving marketing of these products.High quality randomised controlled trials are needed to assess the effectiveness of probiotics for the prevention and/or treatment of mastitis.  相似文献

The present study aims to investigate the probiotic properties of novel strains of lactic acid bacteria isolated from traditional artisanal milk cheese from Northeast China and to explore their antibacterial activity against enteropathogenic bacteria. Of the 321 isolates, 86 exhibited survival in low pH, resistance to pancreatin, and tolerance to bile salts; of these, 12 inhibited the growth of more than seven enteropathogenic bacteria and exhibited antibiofilm activities against Staphylococcus aureus CMCC26003 and/or Escherichia coli CVCC230. Based on 16S ribosomal RNA sequence analysis, the 12 isolates were assigned to Lactobacillus plantarum (7), Lactobacillus helveticus (3), Pediococcus acidilactici (1), and Enterococcus faecium (1) species. In addition, 5 of the 12 strains were susceptible to most of the tested antibiotics. Furthermore, four strains with sensitivity to antibiotics showed significantly high levels of hydrophobicity similar to or better than the reference strain Lactobacillus rhamnosus GG. Moreover, three strains were confirmed safe through non-hemolytic activities and bacterial translocation. Overall, the selected Lact. plantarum 27053 and 27172 and Lact. helveticus 27058 strains can be considered potential probiotic strains and candidates for further application in functional food and prevention or treatment of gastrointestinal diseases.  相似文献

Travellers’ diarrhoea caused by enteric protozoa like Entamoeba histolytica is among the most common protozoan diseases in developing countries. In developing countries, amoebiasis is the second most prevalent protozoan disease. This protozoan parasite is often known to coexist as a part of the normal gut microbiota. It is estimated that around 50–60 % of population in developing countries might be harbouring Entamoeba in an asymptomatic manner. Due to physiological perturbation or upon immuno-compromise, it can become virulent and then cause diarrhoea, bloody stools and may invade other organs if left untreated. Nitroimidazole drugs, namely metronidazole and tinidazole, are widely used to treat protozoan infections. These drugs often show dose-dependent side effects. With emerging antibiotic resistance, novel therapeutics to prevent parasitic infections is required. This study aims to study effect of probiotics on prevention of Amoebiasis. In this study, we have investigated the effect of selected probiotics on the growth of Entamoeba. From the list of probiotics being currently used, five bacterial strains were selected for testing. These probiotic strains were co-cultured with Entamoeba, and their effect on Entamoeba proliferation was checked. Of the five probiotics chosen, individual treatments of Lactobacillus casei and Enterococcus faecium showed a significant reduction of up to 71 % in parasite survival only at higher CFUs. When the two probiotics were used in combination, the percentage of survival reduced gradually further to 80 % at a total CFU of 109 cells/ml of bacteria. The study lays the foundation for providing cost-effective prophylactic treatment for amoebiasis without the overuse of antibiotics.  相似文献

Lactic acid bacteria (LAB) are widely known as probiotic microorganisms that afford several health benefits for the host. In this study, 15 isolates of LAB from various sources in Thailand were examined for their probiotic properties. Based on their phenotypic and genetic characteristics, they belong to the genera Lactobacillus, Pediococcus, and Weissella. All isolates showed the ability to induce interleukin-12 (IL-12) at different levels. Cell-free supernatant of Lactobacillus acidipiscis SR7-1 and Lactobacillus farraginis SL4-1 showed an antiproliferative effect against Caco-2 cell lines with non-toxicity to normal cell lines (Vero cells), while they had no effect against U937 cell lines. Five strains, including Lactobacillus namurensis KC78-5, L. farraginis SL4-1, Lactobacillus mucosae SL7-2, Lactobacillus salivarius MSMC120-2 and Pediococcus pentosaceus PC73-3 grew at pH 3. All isolates were tolerant at 1% bile. L. farraginis SL4-1, L. mucosae SL7-2 and P. pentosaceus PC73-3 were not statistically different when compared to the negative control in vitro adhesion assay. These results suggest that L. farraginis SL4-1, L. mucosae SL7-2 and P. pentosaceus PC73-3, which meet the general criteria of probiotics, represent very interesting candidates for further study as anti-cancer agents, especially L. farraginis SL4-1, which has an antiproliferative effect against Caco-2 cells and immunomodulatory ability. These results also highlight the need for further study, especially in appropriate in vivo animal models.  相似文献

In the present study, the probiotic properties of 52 lactic acid bacteria strains, isolated from the intestinal mucosa of 60-day-old healthy piglets, were evaluated in vitro in order to acquire probiotics of potential application. Based on acidic and bile salt resistance, 11 lactic acid bacteria strains were selected, among which 1 was identified as Pediococcus acidilactici, 3 as Enterococcus faecium, 3 as Lactobacillus rhamnosus, 2 as Lactobacillus brevis, and 2 as Lactobacillus plantarum by 16S rRNA gene sequencing. All selected strains were further investigated for transit tolerance in simulated upper gastrointestinal tract, for adhesion capacity to swine intestinal epithelial cells J2 (IPEC-J2), for cell surface characteristics including hydrophobicity, co-aggregation and auto-aggregation, and for antimicrobial activities. Moreover, hemolytic, bile salt hydrolase and biogenic amine-producing abilities were investigated for safety assessment. Two E. faecium (WEI-9 and WEI-10) and one L. plantarum (WEI-51) exhibited good simulated upper gastrointestinal tract tolerance, and showed high auto-aggregation and co-aggregation with Escherichia coli 1570. The strains WEI-9 and WEI-10 demonstrated the highest adherence capacity. The 11 selected strains mentioned above exhibited strong antimicrobial activity against E. coli CVCC1570, Staphylococcus aureus CVCC1882 and Salmonella pullorum AS1.1859. None of the 11 selected strains, except WEI-9 and WEI-33, exhibited bile salt hydrolase, hemolytic or biogenic amine-producing abilities. This work showed that the E. faecium WEI-10 and L. plantarum WEI-51were found to have the probiotic properties required for use as potential probiotics in animal feed supplements.  相似文献

Three hundred and sixty presumptive lactic acid bacteria (LAB) isolated from pregnant sows, newborn, suckling, and weaned piglets were preliminarily screened for anti-Salmonella activity. Fifty-eight isolates consisting of Lactobacillus reuteri (n = 32), Lactobacillus salivarius (n = 10), Lactobacillus mucosae (n = 8), Lactobacillus johnsonii (n = 5), and Lactobacillus crispatus (n = 3) were selected and further characterized for probiotic properties including production of antimicrobial substances, acid and bile tolerance, and cell adherence to Caco-2 cells. Eight isolates including Lact. johnsonii LJ202 and Lact. reuteri LR108 were identified as potential probiotics. LJ202 was selected for further use in co-culture studies of two-bacterial and multiple-bacterial species to examine its inhibitory activity against Salmonella enterica serovar Enteritidis DMST7106 (SE7106). Co-culture of LJ202 and SE7106 showed that LJ202 could completely inhibit the growth of SE7106 in 10 h of co-culture. In co-culture of multiple-bacterial species, culturable fecal bacteria from pig feces were used as representative of multiple-bacterial species. The study was performed to examine whether interactions among multiple-bacterial species would influence antagonistic activity of LJ202 against SE7106 and fecal coliform bacteria. Co-culture of SE7106 with different combinations of fecal bacteria and probiotic (LJ202 and LR108) or non-probiotic (Lact. mucosae LM303) strains revealed that the growth of SE7106 was completely inhibited either in the presence or in the absence of probiotic strains. Intriguingly, LJ202 exhibited notable inhibitory activity against fecal coliform bacteria while LR108 did not. Taken together, the results of co-culture studies suggested that LJ202 is a good probiotic candidate for further study its inhibitory effects against pathogen infections in pigs.  相似文献
