Summary Manganese(III) acetate was prepared by the oxidation of manganese(II) acetate in aqueous acetic acid by electrolytic method. The anodically generated Mn(III) species was characterised by spectroscopic and redox potential studies. Conditions for the study of kinetics of Oxidation of-amino acids by Mn(III) in aqueous acetic acid was investigated. Plots of log[Mn(III)] versus time for the first order process, or Mn(III) versus time for zero order process were nonlinear. The rate constants computed from [Mn(III)]1/2 versus time plots were independent of [Mn(III)]0 indicating that the reaction goes through competitive zero and first order path-ways in [Mn(III)]0. The kinetic order in [amino acid], [H+] and [Mn(II)] were found out. Effect of added anions like CH3COO, F, Cl and ClO 4 - were investigated. Evidence for the transient existence of the free radical reaction intermediate is given. Dependence of reaction rate on temperature is explained and activation parameters computed from Arrhenius and Eyring plots. A mechanism consistent with the observed results is proposed and discussed.  相似文献

Lewis acid catalysts [Eu(NTf2)3] and [Yb(NTf2)3] can be easily crystallized from a p-xylene solution in the presence of carboxylic acids and a small amount of water to give a trihydrate and a pentahydrate, respectively. In the crystallization of [Eu(NTf2)3(H2O)3], linear molecules such as n-alkanes and n-alkanoic acids act as templates to form crystals belonging to the trigonal space group with a hexagonal cylindrical structure, which is constructed by 3D hydrogen bonding network. On the other hand, [Eu(NTf2)3(H2O)3] crystallized in the cubic space group P213 in the presence of a bulkier carboxylic acid, cyclohexanecarboxylic acid. In both [Eu(NTf2)3(H2O)3] crystals, ligands act as bidentate ligands coordinating to the Eu atom through two oxygen atoms. [Yb(NTf2)3] crystallized as a pentahydrate in the monoclinic space group P21/n, in which ligands coordinated to the Yb atom with only one oxygen atom.  相似文献

Two new salts based on heterocyclic organic cations and uranyl triacetate anion were obtained via reaction of zinc uranyl acetate with 2-substituted imidazoles in presence of an excess of acetic acid. Uranyl triacetate anion in [2-MeImH]+ [UO2(CH3COO)3] and [2-PhImH]+ [UO2(CH3COO)3] H2O has an expected bipyramidal structure with linear uranyl group and three acetate groups laying in equatorial plane. [2-MeImH]+ [UO2(CH3COO)3] structure analysis reveals H-bonded 1D chains connected through N-H···O hydrogen bonds. 2-phenylimidazolium in [2-PhImH]+ [UO2(CH3COO)3] H2O demonstrate planar geometry without any rotation of its rings, which was not registered before. H-bonds and π-π interactions of phenyl groups in this system lead to complicate 2D “sandwich” layer formation. The main features of IR- and luminescence spectrum of both compounds are also discussed.  相似文献

The complexation of 3-, 4-, and 6-fluorosalicylic acids (HL) with copper(II) was investigated in aqueous solution by pH-potentiometry combined with UV-visible spectrophotometry, and in 50 v/v % water-methanol mixture by the two-dimensional ESR simulation method. Both methods showed the formation of [CuLH−1] and [CuL2H−2]2− of high stabilities, and, at low excess of ligand, the ESR-silent mixed hydroxido complex [Cu2L2H−3]. Further species were also identified by the two-dimensional ESR simulation method: [CuL]+ in the acidic region, the minor dimer [Cu2L2H−2], and the cis and the trans isomers for [CuL2H−2]2−. The position of the fluorine atom in the aromatic ring had significant effect on the coordination abilities of the ligands, in good correlation with their reported biological activities. It was 3-fluorosalicylic acid, which formed the most stable complexes [CuLH−1] and [CuL2H−2]2−, while the mononuclear complexes with 6-fluorosalicylic acid were found to be the least stable. For the other ligands (including 5-fluorosalicylic acid studied recently), complexes of medium stabilities were formed. For the interpretation of these findings, ab initio and semi-empirical quantum chemical calculations were carried out for the ligand molecules, isolated and surrounded by water molecules, respectively.  相似文献

Reaction of Ni(OAc)2 with the symmetric `end-off' compartmental proligand 2,6-[N,N-bis(2-hydroxy-phenylmethyl)-N,N-bis(2-pyridylmethyl)aminomethyl]-4-methylphenol (H3L) in the presence of NaPF6 has been found to generate a homotetranuclear nickel(II) complex [(Ni4HL)(L)(OAc)2(H2O)2(HOAc)2]PF6. The crystal structure of the complex reveals that the complex is donor asymmetric and that the extended supra-ligand periphery is maintained by a tight hydrogen-bond between two pendant phenol/phenoxy groups of adjacent ligands and by further tight hydrogen-bonds between coordinated acetic acid molecules and the remaining pendant phenols of the ligand, generating a double acid salt of the type [CH3COO?H?LH?L?H?OOCCH3]5−. Reaction of H3L with Ni(OAc)2 and NaClO4 in methanol gave the complex [Ni2(HL)(OAc)2(OH2)2][ClO4]. The structure was determined by X-ray diffraction and showed that the complex exists as a dimer promoted by intermolecular hydrogen-bonding.  相似文献

Reaction of pyridine-2,6-dicarboxylic acid (dipicH2) with ammonium ceric nitrate and Cu(II) salts yielded three heterometallic compounds all of which contain [Ce(dipic)3]2− linked to aquo-Cu(II) complex units. Part of the Ce(IV) gets reduced by solvent during the reaction leading to [(Ce(dipic)3Ce(H2O)8)2Cu(H2O)4][Ce(dipic)3]2·12H2O (1). Other lanthanide(III) ions could take the place of Ce(III) as demonstrated by the preparation of [(Ce(dipic)3La(H2O)8)2Cu(H2O)4][Ce(dipic)3]2·12H2O (4), which is isomorphous with compound 1. [Ce(dipic)3Cu(H2O)4]·8H2O (2) is a one-dimensional coordination polymer in which two types of aquo-Cu(II) complex units which differ in the orientation of the tetragonal axis alternate along the chain. The central Cu(H2O)22+ unit in the trinuclear anion of [Cu(H2O)6][Ce(dipic)3Cu(H2O)2Ce(dipic)3]·8H2O (3) is chelated by two carboxylate groups in trans positions in off-axis mode. In all the four complexes, the Cu(II) centres are magnetically isolated leading well-resolved EPR spectra in polycrystalline samples.  相似文献

A sensitive method for the measurement of endogenous 5-methoxytryptamine in brain tissue has been developed using capillary column gas chromatography-electron-capture negative-ion chemical ionization mass spectrometry. 5-Methoxytryptamine was first converted to N-[2H3]acetyl-5-methoxytryptamine by reaction with hexa-deuterated acetic anhydride, followed by reaction with pentafluoropropionic anhydride to yield the highly electron-capturing 3,3′-spirocyclic pentafluoropropionyl indolenine derivative. Quantitative analysis was carried out by selected-ion monitoring of the [M-HF] and [M-HF-DF] ion intensity of the 3,3′-spirocyclic pentafluoropropionyl indolenine derivative, using 5-methoxy-[α,α,β,β-2H4]tryptamine as the internal standard. The presence of 5-methoxytryptamine in the brain tissue was demonstrated. In the absence of a monoamine oxidase inhibitor, the mean±S.D. levels of 5-methoxytryptamine in the rat and quail whole brain were found to be 30±6 and 347±52 pg/g, respectively. The possible physiological functions of 5-methoxytryptamine as a neuromodulator and/or neurotransmitter have to be considered.  相似文献

(22S)-[22-3H1]-Cholesterol was incubated with an adrenocortical preparation and the isolated (22R)-[22-3H1]-22-hydroxycholesterol had a small loss of radioactivity, proving that direct replacement of the hydrogen from the now hydroxylated position occurred.In addition [1-3H1]-4-methylpentanol was isolated, which also had incurred a relatively small loss of its specific activity, thereby excluding (20R)-3β,20-dihydroxycholest-5-en-22-one as an important metabolite in the degradation of cholesterol to pregnenolone by adrenal tissue.  相似文献

The relationship between shoot growth and [3H]gibberellin A20 (GA20) metabolism was investigated in the GA-deficient genotype of peas, na Le. [17-13C, 3H2]gibberellin A20 was applied to the shoot apex and its metabolic fate examined by gas chromatographic-mass spectrometric analysis of extracts of the shoot and root tissues. As reported before, [13C, 3H2]GA1, [13C, 3H2]GA8 and [13C, 3H2]GA29 constituted the major metabolites of [13C, 3H2]GA20 present in the shoot. None of these GAs showed any dilution by endogenous 12C-material. [13C, 3H2]GA29-catabolite was also a prominent metabolite in the shoot tissue but showed pronounced isotope dilution probably due to carry-over of endogenous [12C]GA29-catabolite from the mature seed. In marked contrast to the shoot tissue, the two major metabolites present in the roots were identified as [13C, 3H2]GA8-catabolite and [13C, 3H2]GA29-catabolite. Both of these compounds showed strong dilution by endogenous 12C-material. Only low levels of [13C, 3H2]GA1, [13C, 3H2]GA8, [13C, 3H2]GA20 and [13C, 3H2]GA29 accumulated in the roots. It is suggested that compartmentation of GA-catabolism may occur in the root tissue in an analogous manner to that shown in the testa of developing seeds. Changes in the levels of [1,3-3H2]GA20 metabolites over 10 d following application of the substrate to the shoot apex of genotype na Le confirmed the accumulation of [3H]GA-catabolites in the root tissues. No evidence was obtained for catabolic loss of [3H]GA20 by complete oxidation or conversion to a methanol-inextractable form. The coordination of the ligands bis(pyrazol-1-yl)acetate (bpza) and bis(3,5-dimethylpyrazol-1-yl)acetate (bdmpza) to rhenium(VII) was investigated. The compounds [(bpza)ReO3] and [(bdmpza)ReO3] were synthesised by reaction of bpza and bdmpza with perrhenic acid with the loss of one water molecule. The new complex [(bdmpza)ReO3] was characterised by single-crystal X-ray analysis. It has a monomeric structure with a distorted octahedron for the [N,N,O]ReO3 central core.  相似文献

A room-temperature reaction between [Re6S8(OH)6]4− and acetic acid in an aqueous solution resulted in the substitution of all terminal hydroxo groups by acetate ligands, affording a new hexanuclear anionic rhenium cluster complex [Re6S8(CH3COO)6]4−. The complex was isolated as a potassium salt with the composition of K4[Re6S8(CH3COO)6]·8H2O (1) and characterized by X-ray single-crystal diffraction and elemental analyses, IR, 1H NMR, UV-Vis, and luminescence spectroscopies.  相似文献

The effect of photoperiod on metabolism of 16,17-[3H2]GA19, and 1.2-[3H2]GA1 applied to intact seedlings of Salix pentandra, was investigated. No difference was found in conversion of 16,17-[3H2]GA19 to 16,17-[3H2]GA20, and 16,17-[3H2]GA1, or in metabolism of 1,2-[3H2]GA1 to [3H]GA8 between plants grown in continuous light and plants exposed for 14 days to a 12-h photoperiod. Also, leaf discs from plants grown in long or short days, converted 16,17-[3H2]GA19 both in light and darkness. These data on metabolism of 16,17-[3H2]GA19, contrast with previous results, which have indicated a photoperiodic control of the metabolism of GA19 to GA20 in S. pentandra. Presence of these applied labelled GAs and their metabolites in different parts of seedlings was recorded, after application to intact seedlings as well as to isolated plant parts. When 16,17-[3H2]GA19 was applied through the roots of intact plants, the relative amounts of 16,17-[3H2]GA1 present in leaves and shoot apices were higher than in roots and stems. In corresponding experiments with 1,2-[3H2]GA1, relatively higher amounts of [3H2]GA8 were found in roots and stems than in leaves and shoot apices. Twenty-four hours after application of 16,17-[3H2]GA19 to isolated plant parts, 16,17-[3H2]GA20 and 16,17-[3H2]GA1 were found in leaves and roots, but not in internodes. Incubation of isolated plant parts with 1,2-[3H2]GA1 for 24 h resulted in presence of [3H]GA8 in all parts. The results mentioned above were obtained by monitoring metabolites by HPLC with on-line radio counting. The conversions of 17-[2H2]GA19 to 17-[2H2]GA20 and 17-[2H2]GA1 in shoot apices and whole seedlings, and of 17-[2H2]GA8 in whole seedlings, were confirmed by GC-MS.  相似文献

Plant growth promoting endophytic bacteria have been identified as potential growth regulators of crops. Endophytic bacterium, Sphingomonas sp. LK11, was isolated from the leaves of Tephrosia apollinea. The pure culture of Sphingomonas sp. LK11 was subjected to advance chromatographic and spectroscopic techniques to extract and isolate gibberellins (GAs). Deuterated standards of [17, 17-2H2]-GA4, [17, 17-2H2]-GA9 and [17, 17-2H2]-GA20 were used to quantify the bacterial GAs. The analysis of the culture broth of Sphingomonas sp. LK11 revealed the existence of physiologically active gibberellins (GA4: 2.97 ± 0.11 ng/ml) and inactive GA9 (0.98 ± 0.15 ng/ml) and GA20 (2.41 ± 0.23). The endophyte also produced indole acetic acid (11.23 ± 0.93 μM/ml). Tomato plants inoculated with endophytic Sphingomonas sp. LK11 showed significantly increased growth attributes (shoot length, chlorophyll contents, shoot, and root dry weights) compared to the control. This indicated that such phyto-hormones-producing strains could help in increasing crop growth.  相似文献

Ethylenediammonium tris-2,3-pyridine dicarboxylato zinc(II) trihydrate (enH2)2[ZnL3]·2H2O (1) (where H2L = 2,3-pyridine dicarboxylic acid, en = ethylenediamine) and a mixed metal coordination polymer with composition [Na2ZnL′3(OAc)(H2O)3]n (2) {where L′ = anion of (3-oxo-2,3-dihydro-benzo[1,4]oxazin-4-yl)acetic acid} are synthesized and characterized. The complex 1 is mono nuclear complex with three coordinating carboxylate anion along with nitrogen chelating zinc ion and there is three uncoordinated carboxylate group one each from three ligand molecules making a complex anion of zinc(II). The zinc(II) ion are in distorted octahedral coordination geometry. In this complex diprotonated ethylenediamines serve as cations. The complex 2 has a polymeric structure with one acetate and three carboxylate of L′ binding to zinc ion provides a tetrahedral environment and these ligands further hold dinuclear units of tri-aquated sodium ions; each dinuclear sodium units are bridged by one water molecule make the coordination polymer. The catalytic ability of these two complexes 1 and 2 towards carbon-carbon bond formation reaction between 3,4-dimethoxy benzaldehyde and acetone are studied. Both the complexes as well as sodium salt of L′ are found to be catalyst for such reactions.  相似文献

Four compounds containing uranyl cation [UO2]2+ have been synthesized hydrothermally by reacting uranyl acetate and uranyl nitrate with various N/O donor ligands. The structure of all compounds was elucidated by single crystal X-ray diffraction study. Compound [(UO2)(6-methylnicotinato)3](H3O)·4H2O (1) is a discrete complex (0D), that gives rise in the crystal to hydrophilic channels, while [(UO2)(OH)(μ2-3-pyridylpropionato)]n (2) and [(UO2)(H2O)(μ3-4,4′-oxybis(benzoato)]n (3) show the formation of 1D coordination polymers. Moreover, oxalate anions, formed in situ by using 5-methylisophthalic or 2,3-pyrazinedicarboxylic acid as reactant ligands, gave rise to a 2D coordinating network [(UO2)2(μ2-oxalate)(μ2-OH)2(H2O)2]n·nH2O (4). All the complexes expanded their dimensionality to 3D through hydrogen bonds.  相似文献

A well-defined X-ray fiber pattern of chitosan acetate was obtained by immersing a tendon chitosan, prepared from a crab tendon chitin by a solid-state N-deacetylation, in an aqueous acetic acid-isopropanol solution at 110°C. This pattern was very similar to that of chitosan salts with some inorganic acids, such as HF, HCl, and H2SO4, in which chitosan chains form an 8/5 helix, indicating that chitosan acetate also take up this conformation. This information may give an influential clue to the chitosan conformation in the aqueous acetic acid solution, the most popular solvent for chitosan. However, after one month of storage of the chitosan acetate, the fiber pattern, the density and its IR spectrum changed to those of the anhydrous polymorph of chitosan, suggesting that the acetic acid was removed accompanied with water molecules from the crystal during storage and that the polymorph can be obtained not only by annealing chitosan, but also through the chitosan acetate.  相似文献

New copper(II) complexes [CuL2]2+ (L2=7,7,9-trimethyl-1,3,6,10,13-pentaazabicyclo[11,2,11.13]hexadec-9-ene) and [Cu2(L3)(H2O)2]4+ have been prepared by the reaction of [CuL1]2+ (L1=5,5,7-trimethyl-1,4,8,11,14-pentaazatetradce-7-ene) and formaldehyde. The mononuclear complex [CuL2]2+ has a square-planar coordination geometry with a 5-6-5-6 chelate ring sequence and is relatively stable even in low pH at room temperature. The dinuclear complex [Cu2(L3)(H2O)2]4+ consists of two unsaturated 15-membered pentaaza macrocyclic units (7,7,9-trimethyl-1,3,6,10,13-pentaazacyclopentadec-9-ene) that are linked together by a methylene group in a tilted face-to-face arrangement [Cu?Cu distance: 7.413(2) Å ]. Each macrocyclic unit of [Cu2(L3)(H2O)2]4+ contains one four-membered chelate ring and has a severely distorted octahedral coordination polyhedron. The dinuclear complex is quite stable in aqueous solutions containing an excess of formaldehyde or in dry acetonitrile but is decomposed to [CuL1]2+ and [CuL2]2+ in pure water.  相似文献

Abscisic acid (ABA) in extracts of somatic embryos and seeds of Gloryvine (Vitis vinifera L.xV. rupestris Scheele) was measured by gas chromatography-mass spectrometry-selected ion monitoring using deuterated ABA, (±)-[C-3Me-2H3]ABA, ([2H3]ABA) as internal standard. The ABA content increased rapidly during embryogeny (0.035 ng/embryo at the globular stage to 0.22 ng/embryo at the mature stage). The level of ABA in the tissues of somatic embryos, expressed in ng/mg dry weight, decreased from the globular stage (0.76 ng/mg) to the mature stage (0.25 ng/mg). Chilling (4° C) induced normal germination of seeds and mature somatic embryos and precocious germination of globular, heart-shaped and torpedoshaped somatic embryos. In all cases chilling led to a marked reduction in endogenous ABA. Three coordination complexes of formula [Ni(L1)2(H2O)4].4H2O (1), [Mn(L2)2(H2O)4] (2) and [Mn(L2)2(H2O)2]n (3) [L1H = 6-methylpyridine-3-carboxylic acid, L2H = 3-(3-pyridyl)acrylic acid] have been synthesized and structurally characterized by X-ray single crystal analysis. A 3D network is achieved through H-bonding in 1 and 2, while crystal packing of complex 3 shows a 3D supramolecular coordination polymer. Thermal properties have been investigated by thermogravimetric analysis. Luminescence study features the presence of LMCT and metal purterbed ligand centered emission bands.  相似文献

For the purpose of describing the pathway by which estrogens are synthesized in the rhesus monkey (Macacamulatta) corpus luteum (CL), CL were obtained during the midluteal phase of the menstrual cycle and fragments incubated with equimolar amounts of [7-3H]pregnenolone plus [4-14C]progesterone. Metabolites including 3H-progesterone, 3H, 14C-20α-dihydroprogesterone, 3H, 14C-17-hydroxyprogesterone, 3H-estrone and 3H-estradiol-17β appeared in the medium during the first 20 minutes of incubation, 3H, 14C-Androstenedione was not consistently noted until after 60 minutes. Despite the fact that the 14C/3H-17-hydroxyprogesterone ratio quickly approached a constant value in the medium, 14C-estrogens were not detected in the medium or tissue fragments suggesting that progesterone was not a principal precursor for estrogen synthesis. As evidenced by the observation that the 14C/3H-progesterone ratio was significantly higher in luteal fragments than the 17-hydroxyprogesterone ratio, 17-hydroxyprogesterone appeared to be synthesized from pregnenolone both by way of progesterone and by another route which did not include progesterone. C21- and C18-Steroids were more concentrated in tissue fragments after 120 minutes of incubation than in the medium indicating that these steroids were sequestered by luteal tissue.  相似文献
