6-Arylthio-/6-arylamino-4,7-dioxobenzothiazoles were synthesized and tested for in vitro antifungal activity against Candida species and Aspergillus niger. 6-Arylamino-4,7-dioxobenzothiazoles 5 and 6 showed, in general, more potent antifungal activity than 6-arylthio-4,7-dioxobenzothiazoles 3 and 4. The 6-arylamino-substituted compounds 5 and 6 exhibited the greatest activity. In contrast, 6-arylthio-, 2-/5-methyl- or 5-methoxy-moieties of compounds 3-4 did not improve their antifungal activity significantly. The results of this study suggest that 6-arylamino-4,7-dioxobenzothiazoles would be potent antifungal agents.  相似文献

5-Arylamino-2-methyl-4,7-dioxobenzothiazoles were synthesized as inhibitors of cyclin-dependent kinase 4 (CDK4) and cytotoxic agents. Most of the 4,7-dioxobenzothiazoles exhibited selective inhibitory activities for the CDK4 and cytotoxic potential against human cancer cell lines.  相似文献

1H-Indole-4,7-diones were synthesized and tested for in vitro antifungal activity against fungi. The synthesized 1H-indole-4,7-diones generally showed good antifungal activity against Candida krusei, Cryptococcus neoformans, and Aspergillus niger. 2,5-Disubstituted-6-arylamino-4,7-benzimidazolediones were synthesized and tested for in vitro antifungal activity against pathogenic fungi. The methanolic extract of the corms of Colchicum luteum Baker (Liliaceae) and its subsequent fractions in different solvent systems were screened for antibacterial and antifungal activities. The crude extract and all the fractions demonstrated moderate to excellent antifungal activities against tested pathogens in antifungal bioassay. Excellent antifungal activity was shown against trichophyton longifusus, up to 75%, and microsporum canis, up to 85%, while the crude extract and subsequent fractions showed mild to moderate activities in an antibacterial bioassay with maximum antibacterial activity 58% against Bacillus subtilis.  相似文献

In order to find microorganisms showing antifungal activities against Plasmodiophora brassicae, which causes club root, Korean salt-fermented fishery products were tested. Several fermented broths of microorgansims isolated from Ammodytes personatus fishery products showed high antifungal activities. The structure-activity relationship was investigated to evaluate the antifungal activities of tuliposides and tulipalins against tulip pathogenic fungi. 6-Tuliposide B was effectively synthesized via the asymmetric Baylis-Hillman reaction. Tuliposides and tulipalins showed antifungal activities against most of the strains tested at high concentrations (2.5 mM), while Botrytis tulipae was resistant to tuliposides. Tulipalin formation was involved in the antifungal activity, tulipalin A showed higher inhibitory activity than 6-tuliposide B and tulipalin B. Both the tuliposides and tulipalins showed pigment-inducing activity against Gibberella zeae and inhibitory activity against Fusarium oxysporum f. sp tulipae. These activities were induced at a much lower concentration (0.05 mM) than the antifungal MIC values.  相似文献

The rise and emergence of resistance to antifungal drugs by diverse pathogenic fungal strains have resulted in an increase in demand for new antifungal agents. Various heterocyclic scaffolds with different mechanisms of action against fungi have been investigated in the past. Herein, we report the synthesis and antifungal activities of 18 alkylated mono-, bis-, and trisbenzimidazole derivatives, their toxicities against mammalian cells, as well as their ability to induce reactive oxygen species (ROS) in yeast cells. Many of our bisbenzimidazole compounds exhibited moderate to excellent antifungal activities against all tested fungal strains, with MIC values ranging from 15.6 to 0.975 μg/mL. The fungal activity profiles of our bisbenzimidazoles were found to be dependent on alkyl chain length. Our most potent compounds were found to display equal or superior antifungal activity when compared to the currently used agents amphotericin B, fluconazole, itraconazole, posaconazole, and voriconazole against many of the strains tested.  相似文献

Antibacterial and antifungal activities of the two isolated compounds from Conyza canadensis have been reported in the current study. The two isolated compounds i.e. Conyzolide (1) and Conyzoflavone (2) were tested against six bacterial and five fungal strains, employing hole diffusion and macrodilution methods. Both the compounds showed significant activities against the tested pathogens with special reference to E. coli, P. aeruginosa, S. aureus, Trichophytom longifusus, C. albicans, and C. glaberata. Conyzolide revealed comparatively better antibacterial activity against E. coli (minimum inhibitory concentration (MIC): 25 μg/mL) in comparison to Conyzoflavone. However, in case of antifungal activities, Conyzoflavone exhibited superior antifungal activity against C. albicans (MIC: 10 μg/mL) as compared to Conyzolide.  相似文献

Series of naphthoquinone thiol-crown ethers had been prepared. The antibacterial, antifungal, and cytotoxic activities of these synthetic naphthoquinone thiol-crown ethers were investigated. All of the compounds tested displayed antibacterial, cytotoxic and antifungal activities. The bis-naphthoquinone thiol-crown ether 7a was the most potent inhibitor among tested analogues against Staphylococcus aureus methicillin resistance with MIC value of 2.68 microM.  相似文献

The crude methanolic extract and subsequent fractions of Teucrium royleanum (Labiatea) were screened for antibacterial and antifungal activities. Against tested pathogens, crude extract and subsequent fractions demonstrated moderate to excellent antibacterial activities. Highest antibacterial activity was displayed by the ethyl acetate fraction against S. typhi (100%), against E.coli (76.7%) and against P. aerugenosa (70.8%) followed by the chloroform fraction against S. typhi (85.7%). Similarly, the crude extract and its subsequent fractions showed mild to excellent activities in the antifungal bioassay with maximum antifungal activity against M. canis (87%) by the chloroform fraction followed by the ethyl acetate (71%) and n-butanol (70%) fractions.  相似文献

(Euphorbiaceae) and its various fractions in different solvent systems (chloroform, ethyl acetate and n-butanol) were screened for antibacterial and antifungal activities. Crude extract and subsequent fractions demonstrated moderate to excellent antibacterial activities against the tested pathogens. Highest antibacterial activity was displayed by both chloroform and ethyl acetate fractions (100%) followed by the crude extract (68%) against Salmonella typhi. Similarly, crude extract and its subsequent fractions showed mild to excellent activities in antifungal bioassay with maximum (76%) antifungal activity against Microsporum canis by the chloroform fraction followed by the crude extract (65%).  相似文献

A series of novel N-acyl substituted quinolin-2(1H)-one derivatives were synthesized and screened in vitro for their antibacterial and antifungal activities by disc diffusion method. All the compounds exhibited moderate to good antimicrobial activities, some of these compounds displayed comparable or better antibacterial or antifungal activities against some tested strains compared to the reference drugs Streptomycin and Fluconazole.  相似文献

目的探索角膜炎罕见致病真菌对于临床常用抗真菌药物的敏感性。方法应用美国临床实验室标准化委员会制订的标准M38-A方案进行体外药敏试验。结果束状刺盘孢对4种抗真菌药的MIC值最低,≤4.0μg/ml;茄病镰刀菌次之;淡紫拟青霉的MIC值最高;茄病镰刀菌和淡紫拟青霉对氟康唑耐药。结论束状刺盘孢对氟康唑、酮康唑、伊曲康唑和两性霉素B体外试验敏感;淡紫拟青霉对酮康唑、伊曲康唑和两性霉素B的MIC值较高;茄病镰刀菌和淡紫拟青霉对氟康唑耐药。  相似文献
