通过叶碟饲养的方法, 利用生命表技术,研究了甲氰菊酯和阿维菌素亚致死剂量LC20处理柑橘全爪螨若螨后,对试验种群当代(F0)和后代(F1、F2代)生长发育及繁殖的影响.结果表明: 甲氰菊酯LC20处理若螨后,当代雌成螨产卵量显著增加;F1、F2代的产卵前期缩短,后代雌性比例增大,且均与对照差异显著;同时,F1和F2代种群内禀增长率(rm)和周限增长率(λ)增大,世代历期(T)和种群加倍时间(Dt)缩短,且F2代与对照相比差异显著.用阿维菌素LC20处理若螨后,当代种群雌成螨产卵量显著下降; F1和F2代的产卵量也显著下降,但后代雌性比例增大,产卵前期显著缩短;F1和F2代的种群rmλ增大,TDt缩短,且F2代比F1代更为明显.总体来看,甲氰菊酯和阿维菌素亚致死浓度LC20对柑橘全爪螨的影响并不完全相同,甲氰菊酯能够促进当代种群的发展,而阿维菌素对当代种群有一定的抑制作用;但两种杀螨剂亚致死浓度处理柑橘全爪螨对后代种群都有一定的促进作用.研究结果对柑橘全爪螨综合防治策略的制定有一定的指导意义.  相似文献

We have derived a comprehensive structure–activity relationship (SAR) picture for a new series of natural acetylcholinesterase inhibitors isolated from Sarcococca saligna. A set of 32 previously isolated and tested pregnane-type steroidal alkaloids inhibitors were investigated with respect to their IC50 values (pIC50) against the AChE enzyme in order to derive CoMFA models using atom-based alignment. A highly significant CoMFA model was obtained with r2 value of 0.974. The q2 (cross validation r2) value also confirms the statistical significance of our model.  相似文献

1. 1.|In 15 conscious Pekin ducks, 40 “warm sensitive” hypothalamic neurons were identified according to their discharge rates at 40°C Thy (F40), local temperature coefficients (Δ/ΔT) and Q10.

2. 2.|Q10 and either F40 or ΔFT were little or not related.

3. 3.|A positive correlation between F40 and ΔFT was observed which was particularly close (r = 0.94 and 0.96) when the neurons were classified according to their Q10 of <2 and >2.

4. 4.|The results suggest that neurons with positive temperature coefficients in the duck's hypothalamus mostly exhibit linear to exponential temperature-discharge relationships.

1. 1.|Fourteen male volunteers were examined under passive heating.

2. 2.|Electrical skin resistance (ESR) and rectal temperature (Tre) were measured during the whole period of exposure.

3. 3.|It was found that:

• —|ESR decreases rapidly with increasing air temperature. Assuming an exponential curve yields a mean time constant of 14 min.

• —|There is a correlation between the individual ESR time constants and Tre increases (r = 0.695, P < 0.005).

• —|Additional changes of ESR were noted in 8 subjects at a constant air temperature of 42°C.

4. 4.|It is concluded that ESR may be a useful indicator of the sweating response of the human thermoregulatory system during exogenous heat load.

Life table parameters were assessed for seven strains of Trichogramma aurosum Sugonjaev and Sorokina (Hymenoptera: Trichogrammatidae) collected in different European countries, in order to compare their performance when reared on eggs of Ephestia kuehniella Zeller (Lepidoptera: Pyralidae) as a potential factitious host for mass-rearing. The average number of progeny per female, cumulative fertility and emergence rate did not differ significantly, whereas female longevity and sex ratio significantly differed between the seven parasitoid strains. The Danish strain survived the longest (6.05 days) and the Dutch strain survived the shortest (2.75 days). Progeny was always female-biased with varying proportions (57.7-96.7%). Survival rates started to decrease after 3 days for some of the strains studied. The mean cohort generation duration (Tc) was 11.40, 10.15, 10.62, 10.63, 9.28, 9.70 and 11.30 days for the Austrian, Luxemburgian, Belgian, French, Dutch, Danish and German strains, respectively. Population doubling time (Dt) was 4.50, 7.96, 3.56, 5.30, 5.23, 7.36 and 3.30 days, respectively. Daily intrinsic rate of increase (rm) and finite rate of increase (exp. rm) ranged between 0.087 and 0.210 and 1.091-1.233, respectively. The German strain might be a potential candidate for mass rearing and releases against the codling moth, Cydia pomonella (L.) (Lepidoptera: Tortricidae), due to its high net reproduction rate (R0=10.65 female), a high intrinsic rate of natural increase (rm=0.210), a high finite rate of increase (exp. rm=1.23), and a short population doubling time (Dt=3.3 days). The relevance of intra- and interstrain variability as well as the usefulness of fertility life tables for pre-introductory research is discussed.  相似文献

Toxoplasma gondii is a parasite influencing behaviour of its hosts. The parasite is often present in sheep flocks without clinical symptoms. The order of moving to the milking parlour was reported to be non-random in domestic bovids. The aim of this study was to investigate if milking order is related to T. gondii infection in sheep. The study was performed on 41 ewes milked twice a day. Milking order was noted during 7 consecutive days. The indirect fluorescent antibody test (IFAT) was used to detect antibodies (IgG + IgM) in sera of sheep. Titers ≥8 were considered positive. Moreover, in case of positive sera a test for IgM was conducted. The antibodies to T. gondii were found in 53.65% of the investigated sheep, but IgM were not found in any sheep. Infected sheep entered the milking parlour significantly later (mean position at milking 24.89) than uninfected animals (16.40; r = 0.43, p = 0.006). Results of this study suggest that behaviour of sheep is related to T. gondii infection. However, it is not clear if the phenomenon has any adaptive value for the parasite.  相似文献

The eclosion and oviposition rhythms of flies from a population of Drosophila melanogaster maintained under constant conditions of the laboratory were assayed under constant light (LL), constant darkness (DD), and light/dark (LD) cycles of 10:10 h (T20), 12:12 h (T24), and 14:14 h (T28). The mean (±95% confidence interval; CI) free-running period (τ) of the oviposition rhythm was 26.34 ± 1.04 h and 24.50 ± 1.77 h in DD and LL, respectively. The eclosion rhythm showed a τ of 23.33 ± 0.63 h (mean ± 95% CI) in DD, and eclosion was not rhythmic in LL. The τ of the oviposition rhythm in DD was significantly greater than that of the eclosion rhythm. The eclosion rhythm of all 10 replicate vials entrained to the three periodic light regimes, T20, T24, and T28, whereas the oviposition rhythm of only about 24 and 41% of the individuals entrained to T20 and T24 regimes, respectively, while about 74% of the individuals assayed in T28 regimes showed entrainment. Our results thus clearly indicate that the τ and the limits of entrainment of eclosion rhythm are different from those of the oviposition rhythm, and hence this reinforces the view that separate oscillators may regulate these two rhythms in D. melanogaster.  相似文献

The Andean tuco-tuco, Ctenomys fulvus (Rodentia: Ctenomyidae) inhabits one of the most arid regions of the world, the Salar de Atacama, Northeast of Antofagasta, Chile (23°17′06″S, 68°05′43″W; 2.240 m.a.s.l). We found that a stable microclimate in burrows, a low evaporative water loss (EWL), and a diet of roots (59% water content) are the main factors that permit the survival of this fossorial species in harsh desert conditions. Large circadian variation in Ta was observed above ground. Daily ΔTa (Ta max − Ta min) = 37.9±0.2°C in summer and in winter. In contrast, circadian variation of Ta inside the burrows was only 5.8±0.5°C in the same seasons. Relative humidity (RH) was 1.9–3.1% during the day, increasing to maximum values of 27% at night and early morning. Inside the burrows RH was higher and quite stable, ranging between 53.1 and 65%, independent of the time of day and season. EWL, measured between 10 and 25°C, was low (1.26 mg/g h), and a moderate increase of 13–20% was observed at higher temperatures. The low EWL may prevent dehydration. However, because of the low heat loss capability, animals became hyperthermic (0.8–1.6°C) in dry air at Ta=30–35°C. As Ta during afternoon normally exceeded 35°C, the microclimate of burrows provided the only way to avoid the lethal effects of hyperthermia.  相似文献

1. 1.Hypothalamic temperature (Thy), nonevaporative heat loss (R + C + K), evaporative heat loss (E), thermal conductance (k), metabolic heat production (M) and heat storage (S) of rats were simultaneously measured by direct and indirect calorimetry during internal heat loading (2 W per rat) with an intraperitoneal electric heater.

2. 2.The tests were made twice a day; once during the day (1000–1200 h) and once at night (2200–2400 h) at an ambient temperature of 24°C.

3. 3.The resting values of Thy, colonic temperature, (R + C + K), E, M and heart rate, and the Thy threshold for tail skin vasodilation (Tth) during internal heat load were significantly higher at night than during the day.

4. 4.The slopes showing the relationshiop between (R + C + K), k or M and Thy were significantly steeper during the day than at night after Thy exceeded Tth.

5. 5.The slopes showing the relationship between E or S and Thy were not different during the day and at night.

6. 6.These results indicate that the responses of nonevaporative heat loss and heat production to internal heat load vary with the time of day in rats.

1. 1. Measurements of body temperature (Tb) in the field demonstrated that endothermic cicadas regulate Tb by behavioral mechanisms as well as by endogenous heat production.

1. Using data from the literature, I assessed how broad climatic patterns affected field body temperatures (Tb’s) of lizards in the genus Sceloporus.

2. Sceloporus at temperate latitudes had mean Tb’s of 35°C throughout their elevational range. This pattern is associated with “tropical” temperatures that extend into high north latitudes during the summer and the relatively low elevations occupied by the lizards.

3. At tropical latitudes, mean Tb declined from 35°C at low elevations to 31°C at high elevations. This pattern is associated with low seasonal variation in temperature at tropical latitudes and the relatively high elevations occupied by the lizards.  相似文献

Antimalarial activity of a series of sulfonamide derivatives (2,4-diamino-6-quinazoline sulfonamides) was modeled topologically using Wiener (W)-, and Szeged (Sz)-indices. The regression analysis of the data has shown that better results are obtained in multiparametric regressions upon introduction of indicator parameters. Predicting ability of the models was tested by r2cv values. It was observed that models based on W index gave slightly better results than those in which Sz is involved.  相似文献

Thelazia gulosa, Thelazia rhodesi and Thelazia skrjabini are nematodes transmitted by some species of Musca (Diptera: Muscidae) which cause ocular infestations in bovines. Differences in the rDNA of these species were determined by a PCR using different sets of relatively conserved oligonucleotide primers. PCR on the first internal transcribed spacer (ITS-1) revealed differences in size in Thelazia species (437 bp for T. gulosa, 370 bp for T. rhodesi and 506 bp for T. skrjabini) while the DNA control of Musca spp. was not amplified. The ITS-1 amplicons of the three species were sequenced and then analysed. The GC contents ranged from 26 to 36% and the level of differences in the nucleotide sequences of ITS-1 was lower between T. skrjabini and T. gulosa (39%) than the latter and T. rhodesi (49–56%). Restriction fragment length polymorphism (RFLP) of ITS-1 amplicons was also carried out and the restriction profiles compared. Clear genetic differences among the three Thelazia examined were demonstrated by using the enzymes HpaII, CpoI and SspI. This PCR–RFLP for the delineation of T. gulosa, T. rhodesi and T. skrjabini offers prospects as a molecular epidemiological tool to study parasite transmission patterns and prevalence.  相似文献

Thermal properties of corn gluten meal (CGM) and of its extracted proteic components (zein and glutelin) at 0% moisture content, is studied by dynamic mechanical thermal analysis (DMTA) and modulated differential scanning calorimetry (MDSC). The glass transition temperature (Tg) on first heating, is measured at 176 and 174°C, respectively, for hot-air-dried and native CGM. For zein and glutelin isolated fractions, the measured Tg values are 164 and 209°C, respectively. The calculated Tg from using Matveev’s method (Matveev YI. Spec Publ R Soc Chem 1995;156;552) is in good agreement with experimental data for zein, a well defined protein. MDSC allows the measurement of change in heat capacity at Tg (ΔCp) with a single heating scan, avoiding sample alteration, and ΔCp values are 0.365 J/g per K for zein and 0.184 J/g per K for glutelin. The differences observed in Tg, relaxation temperatures, ΔCp and tan δ peak height are related to differences in the structure of the proteins, through the cross-linkages and hydrogen or van der Waals interactions. Experimental data from DMTA and MDSC, and the Couchman–Karasz thermodynamic approach indicate that CGM behaves as a miscible blend of its components, with high non-polar interactions between zein and glutelin proteins.  相似文献

1. 1. Scientists often use ambient temperature, relative humidity, or windspeed alone to describe an animal's thermal environment. Standard operative temperature (Tes) incorporates solar and thermal radiation, ambient temperature, and windspeed with a species' resistance to heat loss; thus it more accurately represents an animal's thermal environment. Standard operative temperature is not often recorded in the field because of instruments needed to measure short- and long-wave radiation.
2. 2. Our objective was to determine if regression equations could relate simple micrometeorological measurements to Tes for mule deer and cattle in winter.
3. 3. Blackglobe and ambient temperatures, windspeed, net radiation, total radiation, albedo, and ground surface temperature were recorded during one winter in a field in Bozeman, Montana. We used species specific resistance values for mule deer and cattle in winter to calculate Tes for both species. Then, we regressed Tes with blackglobe and ambient temperatures, and windspeed. The mule deer regression model was applied to an independent data set to determine if it worked well under varying weather conditions.
4. 4. The mule deer and cattle regression models represented Tes for both species well (adjusted R2 0.96 and 0.94, respectively). The mule deer regression model also represented the independent data set well. Standard operative temperatures predicted by our model and those predicted by the independent data set were highly correlated (r > 0.96 for four different comparisons). Our simple micrometeorological measurements are suitable predictors of Tes for mule deer and cattle in winter.

The biosynthesis of carnitine requires vitamin C as a cofactor for two separate hydroxylation steps. The majority of body carnitine (approximately 98%) is located in muscle and less than 0.5% is present in plasma. We examined the physiologic dynamics of plasma free carnitine and muscle total acid-soluble carnitine in vitamin C-depleted guinea pigs repleted with increasing amounts of vitamin C. Animals were fed a vitamin C-deficient diet for 3 weeks at which time symptoms of scurvy were evident. Animals were repleted with increasing doses of vitamin C, from 0.5 to 10.0 mg vitamin C/100 g body weight daily. Muscle total acid-soluble carnitine concentrations tended to correlate directly with plasma vitamin C (r = 0.41, P = 0.087) during the repletion phase of the study. Conversely, plasma free carnitine was inversely related to liver vitamin C (r = −0.54, P = 0.020) and to muscle total acid-soluble carnitine (r = −0.56, P = 0.015). Mean plasma free carnitine values fell 30% over the course of vitamin C repletion (P > 0.05) and mean muscle total acid-soluble carnitine rose by 30% (P > 0.05). These data suggest that elevated plasma free carnitine may indicate a low to marginal vitamin C status.  相似文献

蒸散发(ET)是生态系统水分循环和能量流动的重要组成部分,准确估算ET及其各组分,对认识生态生理过程对水分平衡和植物水分利用策略的影响具有重要意义。本研究于2019年5月20日至9月15日,利用涡度相关技术和微型蒸渗仪对毛乌素沙地油蒿-杨柴灌丛生态系统ET、蒸发(E)和蒸腾(T)进行测定和估算,量化了油蒿-杨柴灌丛生态系统ET组分,并分析ET及其组分的季节特征及影响因素。结果表明: T为毛乌素沙地油蒿-杨柴灌丛生态系统生长季ET的主要组分,T/ET为53.1%。T/ET值随降水减少而升高,E/ET值随降水减少而减少,蒸散组分分配主要受降水调控。在季节尺度上,E与10 cm深处土壤含水量(SWC10)和太阳净辐射(Rn)呈显著正相关,其中,SWC10E的主要影响因素;TRn和叶面积指数(LAI)的升高而升高,随30 cm处土壤含水量(SWC30)的升高呈先升高后降低的单峰趋势,受到SWC30Rn和LAI的共同影响;水分是ET的主要影响因素。生长季蒸散/降水量(ET/P)为109.2%,5月ET/P为250.5%,表明生长季初期ET耗水部分来自非生长季降水。  相似文献
