目的:观察肺纤维化初期肺动脉高压大鼠肺动脉血管反应性的变化。方法:66只雄性SD大鼠,随机分为博莱霉素(BLM)组和手术对照(Sham)组。BLM组为气管内一次性滴注BLM(5 mg/kg);Sham组为气管内滴注等容量的生理盐水(NS)。应用离体血管张力检测技术测定大鼠肺动脉血管反应性变化;用HE显示肺动脉壁病理形态学变化;Masson染色检测肺纤维化程度;右心漂浮导管技术测定大鼠平均肺动脉压。结果:①BLM组大鼠的肺动脉血管(保留内皮和去内皮)对苯肾上腺素(PE)的收缩反应均弱于Sham组(P均〈0.05)。②BLM组大鼠肺动脉血管(保留内皮)对氯化乙酰胆碱(Ach)的舒张反应明显弱于Sham组(P〈0.01)。③Sham组有内皮的肺动脉血管对L-NAME和PE联合作用的收缩反应明显强于PE单独作用(P〈0.01),而BLM组有内皮肺动脉血管对L-NAME和PE联合作用的收缩反应与对PE单独作用比,其差异无统计学意义(P〉0.05)。④BLM组肺动脉内皮细胞脱落。⑤BLM组大鼠肺组织呈现纤维增生初期的病理特征,且大鼠的平均肺动脉压明显高于Sham组(P〈0.05)。结论:肺纤维化形成初期肺动脉高压大鼠肺动脉血管反应性出现异常。  相似文献

目的:探讨白细胞介素-27(Interleukin 27,IL-27)对成人全身炎症反应综合征(systemic inflammatory response syndrome, SIRS)和脓毒症的诊断价值。方法:214 例SIRS患者按入院诊断结果及感染源不同分为非脓毒症组(n=80)、肺源性脓毒症组(n= 73)和非肺源性脓毒症组(n= 61)。采用酶联免疫吸附试验(ELISA)检测各组患者血清IL-27 和降钙素原(PCT)水平;绘制受试者 工作特征曲线(ROC),判断各指标的诊断价值,分析各生物标志物的性能,判断潜在的预测变量。结果:肺源性脓毒症患者体温符 合SIRS 标准的比例为65.8%,明显高于非脓毒症患者(45.0%)及非肺源性脓毒症患者(45.9%)(P < 0.05);非肺源性脓毒症患者白 细胞数符合SIRS标准的比例为68.9%,明显高于非脓毒症患者42.5%,(P < 0.05)。确诊脓毒症后的患者血清IL-27 的AUC 为 0.655,PCT的AUC 为0.649。根据不同感染源进一步分析,肺源性和非肺源性脓毒症患者血清IL-27 水平明显高于非脓毒症患 者,肺源性和非肺源性脓毒症患者PCT 水平明显高于非脓毒症患者(P<0.01)。ROC曲线分析发现,肺源性和非肺源性脓毒症患 者血清IL-27 的AUC分别为0.657 和0.652,肺源性和非肺源性脓毒症患者PCT 的AUC 为0.667 和0.629。分别联合检测三组患 者的血清IL-27 和PCT值,肺源性脓毒症患者的AUC为0.728,非肺源性脓毒症患者的AUC 为0.703。对肺源性脓毒症患者与非 肺源性脓毒症患者诊断的准确性均有所提升。结论:肺源性和非肺源性脓毒症患者较非脓毒症患者更加符合SIRS 标准。IL-27 作 为脓毒症诊断的生物标志物,对病情变化的反应不敏感,而IL-27 和PCT 结合可以使诊断的准确性提高。  相似文献

Some human newborns have a syndrome characterized by irreversible pulmonary hypertension and severe hypoxemia and by medial hypertrophy and adventitial thickening of pulmonary arteries. We considered that newborn calves made severely hypoxic might reproduce features of the human disease. When 2-day-old calves were placed at 4,300 m simulated altitude, pulmonary arterial pressure was increased and could be reversed by 100% O2. However, after 2 wk at 4,300 m, pulmonary arterial pressures were suprasystemic and there was right-to-left shunting probably through the foramen ovale and a patent but restrictive ductus arteriosus. Suprasystemic pulmonary pressure and hypoxemia persisted with 100% O2 breathing. Morphometrical examination of the lung arteries showed a markedly thickened adventitia with cellular proliferation and collagen and elastin deposition. There was increased medial thickness and distal muscularization of the pulmonary arteries associated with decreased luminal diameter. The rapid development of severe pulmonary hypertension and poor responsiveness to O2 was associated with increased arterial wall thickness, particularly involving the adventitia. Thus the pulmonary arterial circulation in these calves, which were placed at high altitude for 2 wk, exhibited features resembling persistent pulmonary hypertension in newborn infants.  相似文献

To evaluate the contribution of large and medium pulmonary veins to the total pulmonary vascular resistance in various human lung diseases, we compared in 64 patients the pulmonary arterial proximal wedge pressure (Ppw), obtained when the balloon of a 7F pulmonary artery catheter was inflated with 1.5 ml air, with the distal wedge pressure (Pdw), obtained after the tip of the catheter was advanced until wedged in a small artery without balloon inflation. Ppw, reflecting the pressure in a large pulmonary vein, approximates the left atrial pressure, whereas Pdw reflects the pressure in a smaller pulmonary vein. Pdw was greater than Ppw in all 64 patients. The Pdw-Ppw gradient was 1.1 +/- 0.5 mmHg in nine patients with normal lungs and was significantly higher in 13 patients with chronic congestive heart failure (3.8 +/- 0.8 mmHg, P less than 0.01) and in 22 patients with adult respiratory distress syndrome (3.8 +/- 0.8 mmHg; P less than 0.01), but not in 20 patients with chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (1.8 +/- 0.7 mmHg). The distribution of the pulmonary vascular resistance was clearly different among the four groups. The fraction of the total pulmonary vascular resistance attributable to large and medium pulmonary veins was significantly increased (P less than 0.01) in adult respiratory distress syndrome (27.5 +/- 12%) and cardiac patients (27.5 +/- 9%) compared with patients with chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (13 +/- 5%) and normal lungs (13.5 +/- 6%).(ABSTRACT TRUNCATED AT 250 WORDS)  相似文献

Distension of the main pulmonary artery (MPA) induces pulmonary hypertension, most probably by neurogenic reflex pulmonary vasoconstriction, although constriction of the pulmonary vessels has not actually been demonstrated. In previous studies in dogs with increased pulmonary vascular resistance produced by airway hypoxia, exogenous arachidonic acid has led to the production of pulmonary vasodilator prostaglandins. Hence, in the present study, we investigated the effect of arachidonic acid in seven intact anesthetized dogs after pulmonary vascular resistance was increased by MPA distention. After steady-state pulmonary hypertension was established, arachidonic acid (1.0 mg/min) was infused into the right ventricle for 16 min; 15-20 min later a 16-mg bolus of arachidonic acid was injected. MPA distension was maintained throughout the study. Although the infusion of arachidonic acid significantly lowered the elevated pulmonary vascular resistance induced by MPA distension, the pulmonary vascular resistance returned to control levels only after the bolus injection of arachidonic acid. Notably, the bolus injection caused a biphasic response which first increased the pulmonary vascular resistance transiently before lowering it to control levels. In dogs with resting levels of pulmonary vascular resistance, administration of arachidonic acid in the same manner did not alter the pulmonary vascular resistance. It is concluded that MPA distension does indeed cause reflex pulmonary vasoconstriction which can be reversed by vasodilator metabolites of arachidonic acid. Even though this reflex may help maintain high pulmonary vascular resistance in the fetus, its function in the adult is obscure.  相似文献

In a conscious newborn piglet model, exogenous leukotriene D4 was found to be a potent pulmonary and systemic vasoconstrictor with significant left ventricular depressant effect. The pulmonary pressor effect was seen only in the arterioles and not the veins. In hypoxia the pulmonary response was less. The findings were similar to that in lambs. The role of leukotrienes in hypoxic pulmonary vasoconstriction and the foetal pulmonary circulation needs further elucidation.  相似文献

The aim of this study was to assess the role of nitric oxide (NO) and endothelin (ET)-1 in the pathophysiology of persistent pulmonary hypertension of the newborn in fetal lambs with a surgically created congenital diaphragmatic hernia (CDH). The pulmonary vascular response to various agonists and antagonists was assessed in vivo between 128 and 132 days gestation. Age-matched fetal lambs served as control animals. Control and CDH lambs had similar pulmonary vasodilator responses to acetylcholine, sodium nitroprusside, zaprinast, and dipyridamole. The ET(A)-receptor antagonist BQ-123 caused a significantly greater pulmonary vasodilatation in CDH than in control animals. The ET(B)-receptor agonist sarafotoxin 6c induced a biphasic response, with a sustained pulmonary vasoconstriction after a transient pulmonary vasodilatation that was not seen in CDH animals. We conclude that the NO signaling pathway in vivo is intact in experimental CDH. In contrast, ET(A)-receptor blockade and ET(B)-receptor stimulation significantly differed in CDH animals compared with control animals. Imbalance of ET-1-receptor activation favoring pulmonary vasoconstriction rather than altered NO-mediated pulmonary vasodilatation is likely to account for persistent pulmonary hypertension of the newborn in fetal lambs with a surgically created CDH.  相似文献

An investigation was conducted to assess the accuracy of left heart filling pressures determined by a right heart catheter introduced at the bedside. Twelve patients were studied after open cardiac surgery by simultaneously recording pressures from both sides of the pulmonary capillary bed with a direct left atrial catheter and a flow-directed pulmonary arterial catheter. The mean pulmonary artery “occluded” pressure was shown to be a highly reliable index of mean left atrial pressure in all cases. It was much more accurate than pulmonary end-diastolic pressure, especially in six patients with pre-existing pulmonary hypertension.  相似文献

Current techniques do not permit continuous and noninvasive assessments of changes in total pulmonary intravascular volume. Hence, the present study was undertaken to determine whether quantitative radionuclide imaging can be used to determine the direction and estimate the magnitude of total pulmonary vascular volume changes. The pulmonary circulation was separately perfused at a constant rate via the pulmonary artery and drained at a constant pressure via the left atrium in nine dogs. Changes in pulmonary intravascular volume were recorded as reciprocal changes in extracorporeal reservoir volume during phenylephrine or isoproterenol administration, a 20% increase in pulmonary artery flow or a 5 mmHg (1 mmHg = 133.32 Pa) decrease in left atrial pressure. Erythrocytes were labeled with technetium-99m and pulmonary volume changes were determined from tissue attenuation, blood radioactivity, and changes in total pulmonary radioactivity obtained with a gamma-camera. During each of the interventions, count changes correlated with volume changes (r greater than or equal to 0.75). The technique reliably detected volume changes as small as 10 mL. For all 531 individual pairs of radionuclide- and reservoir-determined volume changes, the correlation between reservoir-determined and radionuclide-estimated pulmonary intravascular volume changes was 0.87. The standard error of the radionuclide estimate was 21 mL. Hence, the present study demonstrates that quantitative radionuclide imaging can be used to continuously and noninvasively determine total pulmonary vascular volume changes.  相似文献

ObjectivePulmonary function test (PFT) is a useful tool for an objective assessment of respiratory function. Impaired pulmonary function is critical for the survival and quality of life in patients with pulmonary metastases of solid cancers including thyroid cancer. This study aimed to evaluate clinical factors associated with severely impaired pulmonary function by serial assessment with PFT in patients with pulmonary metastasis of differentiated thyroid cancer (DTC) who received radioactive iodine treatment (RAIT).PatientsThis retrospective study enrolled 31 patients who underwent serial PFTs before and after RAIT for pulmonary metastasis of DTC. We evaluated the risk factors for severe impairment of pulmonary function.ResultsThe median age of the patients was 44.1 years and 18 of them were female patients. Severe impairment of pulmonary function was observed in five patients (16%) after a median of three RAITs (cumulative I-131 activity = 20.4 GBq). These patients were older and more frequently had mild impairment of baseline pulmonary function, respiratory symptoms, or progressive disease compared with patients with stable pulmonary function. Neither cumulative dose nor number of RAIT was associated with decreased pulmonary function. Coexisting pulmonary diseases, presence of respiratory symptoms, and metastatic disease progression were significantly associated with severe decrease in forced vital capacity during follow-up (p =.047, p =.011, and p =.021, respectively).ConclusionsPulmonary function was severely impaired during follow-up in some patients with pulmonary metastasis of DTC after a high-dose RAITs. Neither the number of RAIT nor the cumulative I-131 activity was associated with decreased pulmonary function. Serial PFT might be considered for some high-risk patients during follow-up.  相似文献

The extent of early resolution of major pulmonary embolism observed in 10 patients after 24 hours of treatment with heparin was compared with that seen in 17 patients after 24 hours of treatment with streptokinase. The patients in the streptokinase group also received a loading dose of heparin and were treated with heparin by continuous infusion when their thrombin time returned to normal levels. All had pulmonary hypertension. Pulmonary embolism was classified as acute in the 10 patients in the heparin group. Seven of these patients showed no angiographic change, two showed slight improvement and one showed angiographic deterioration. There was a moderate and statistically insignificant fall in mean pulmonary arterial pressure and total pulmonary resistance. Fourteen of the 17 patients who were studied before and after streptokinase were classified as acute and three as subacute progressive major pulmonary embolism. Eight showed marked angiographic improvement, four moderate and two slight angiographic improvement. There was a moderate and statistically significant fall in the mean pulmonary arterial pressure and pulmonary vascular resistance. In addition, all seven patients in whom no angiographic improvement occurred during heparin therapy showed moderate or marked angiographic improvement after a further 24 hours of treatment with streptokinase. The results strongly suggest that streptokinase therapy accelerates thrombolysis in patients with acute major pulmonary embolism.  相似文献

Pulmonary vascular resistance in the fluorocarbon-filled lung   总被引:3,自引:0,他引:3  
Pulmonary vascular resistance was investigated in the fluorocarbon-filled lung in an in situ isolated lung preparation. Lungs were perfused at constant flow (100 ml X min-1 X kg-1) with whole blood from a donor cat. left atrial pressure was held constant at zero pressure. Measurements of pulmonary arterial pressure enabled calculation of pulmonary vascular resistance. Regional changes in pulmonary blood flow were determined by the microsphere technique. During quasi-static deflation over a range of 0-30 mmHg, dependent alveolar pressure was consistently greater for a volume of fluorocarbon than for gas, with each pressure-volume curve for the fluorocarbon-filled lung shifted to the right of the curve for the gas-filled lung. In turn, pulmonary vascular resistance was found to increase linearly as a function of increasing alveolar pressure, independent of the medium in the lung. Thus, for a given volume, pulmonary vascular resistance was consistently greater in the fluorocarbon-filled lung compared with the gas-filled lung. This increase in pulmonary vascular resistance was accompanied by a redistribution of pulmonary blood flow in which blood flow to the dependent region was decreased in the fluorocarbon-filled lung compared with the gas-filled lung. Conversely, the less-dependent regions of the lung received a relatively greater percentage of blood flow when filled with fluorocarbon compared with gas. These findings suggest that pulmonary vascular resistance is increased during liquid ventilation, largely as the result of mechanical interaction at the alveolar-vascular interface.  相似文献

The aim of the study was to investigate whether oxygen causes a further decrease in pulmonary artery pressure after administration of calcium channel blocker-verapamil-or angiotensin converting enzyme inhibitor-captopril-in the secondary pulmonary hypertension. We studied 37 patients with the secondary pulmonary hypertension (mean pulmonary artery systolic pressure = 56.1 mm Hg) due to mitral stenosis. After having completed hemodynamic diagnostic procedures, basal oxygen test was performed and pulmonary artery pressure was recorded at 10 min of oxygen breathing. Then, 10 mg of verapamil was injected into the pulmonary artery of 16 patients and 21 patients received 75 mg of oral captopril. At the peak of vasodilation, 30 min after verapamil and 90 min after captopril administration, pulmonary artery pressure was recorded and oxygen test was repeated. Baseline oxygen test produced a statistically significant decrease in pulmonary artery pressure. Verapamil and captopril also lowered pulmonary artery systolic and diastolic pressures. The second oxygen test did not cause a further decrease in the pulmonary artery pressure; mean pulmonary artery systolic pressure was 52.3 +/- 23.7 mm Hg, pulmonary artery diastolic pressure 22.7 +/- 10.6 mm Hg before and 49.1 +/- 23.8 mm Hg and 23.0 +/- 13.5 mm Hg, respectively after the test in verapamil group, and 47.0 +/- 15.5 mm Hg and 21.7 +/- 8.4 mm Hg before and 46.6 +/- 15.4 mm Hg, respectively in captopril subset. The results may support the thesis that vasodilating effect depends rather on the degree of pulmonary vascular changes than on the vasodilatory mechanism of particular drugs.  相似文献

The unusually muscular pulmonary arteries normally present in cattle and swine residing at low altitude are associated with a rapid development of severe pulmonary hypertension when those animals are moved to high altitude. Because these species lack collateral ventilation, they appear to have an increased dependence on hypoxic vasoconstriction to maintain normal ventilation-perfusion balance, which, in turn, maintains thickened arterial walls. The only other species known to lack collateral ventilation is the coati, which, similarly, has thick-walled pulmonary arteries. We tested the hypothesis that coatis will develop severe high-altitude pulmonary hypertension by exposing six of these animals (Nasua narica) to a simulated altitude of 4,900 m for 6 wk. After the exposure, pulmonary arterial pressures were hardly elevated, right ventricular hypertrophy was minimal, there was no muscularization of pulmonary arterioles, and, most surprising of all, there was a decrease in medial thickness of muscular pulmonary arteries. These unexpected results break a consistent cross-species pattern in which animals with thick muscular pulmonary arteries at low altitude develop severe pulmonary hypertension at high altitude.  相似文献

Anatomic evidence suggests that leu5-enkephalin (Leu5-enk) may be involved in the physiologic control of pulmonary vascular tone. Information regarding its pulmonary vascular effect is limited; we therefore studied its effect on the immature pulmonary circulation. Normoxic and hypoxic unsedated newborn lambs with chronically implanted flow probes around the right and left pulmonary arteries were used. Leu5-enk was injected into one pulmonary artery only, so that any direct effect of the peptide on the pulmonary vessels could be determined by measuring changes in the ratio of blood flow to the injected versus the non-injected lung. Leu5-enk caused a small but significant increase in pulmonary artery pressure without increasing cardiac output or left atrial pressure (threshold = 1 microgram/kg); it is therefore a pulmonary vasoconstrictor. At a dose of 10 micrograms/kg, Leu5-enk also raised pulmonary artery pressure (20.6 mmHg to 23.9 mmHg; F(8,36) = 15.1 p less than 0.001) and calculated PAR (14.6 to 16.1 units; NS). However, the ratio of blood flow to the two lungs did not change; thus, Leu5-enk does not appear to directly act on pulmonary vessels, but rather through an intermediary to produce pulmonary vasoconstriction. This indirect pulmonary vasoconstriction was blocked by pretreatment with naloxone (3 mg/kg). We conclude that Leu5-enk is a pulmonary vasoconstrictor, albeit a weak one, in the lamb and may therefore play a role in pulmonary vascular homeostasis. This vasoconstriction does not seem to be due to a direct effect on pulmonary vessels by Leu5-enk, but may be effected through a neural or hormonal intermediary.  相似文献

In this report we describe a patient with recurrent episodes of acute pulmonary oedema after aortic and mitral valve surgery. The first episode of pulmonary oedema was caused by mitral valve dysfunction. The second episode of pulmonary oedema was not clearly associated with a mitral valve problem, but reoperation was performed in the absence of another explanation. After the third episode of acute pulmonary oedema occurred, the diagnosis of obstructive sleep apnoea syndrome (OSAS) was considered and confirmed. After starting treatment with continuous positive airway pressure (CPAP) during his sleep the patient had no further episodes of acute respiratory failure. Our case demonstrates that acute pulmonary oedema after cardiothoracic surgery can be caused or at least be precipitated by OSAS and should be suspected in patients with unexplained episodes of (recurrent) pulmonary oedema. Systemic to pulmonary flow from bronchial circulation, important in perfusing potentially ischemic regions distal to pulmonary vascular obstructions, depends on driving pressure between an upstream site in intrathoracic systemic arterial network and pulmonary vascular bed. The reported increase of pulmonary infarctions in heart failure may be due to a reduction of this driving pressure. We measured upstream element for driving pressure for systemic to pulmonary flow from bronchial circulation by raising pulmonary venous pressure (Ppv) until the systemic to pulmonary flow from bronchial circulation ceased. We assumed that this was the same as upstream pressure when there was flow. Systemic to pulmonary flow from bronchial circulation was measured in left lower lobes (LLL) of 21 anesthetized open-chest dogs from volume of blood that overflowed from pump-perfused (90-110 ml/min) pulmonary vascular circuit of LLL and was corrected by any changes of LLL fluid volume (wt). Systemic to pulmonary flow from bronchial circulation upstream pressure was linearly related to systemic arterial pressure (slope = 0.24, R = 0.845). Increasing Ppv caused a progressive reduction of systemic to pulmonary flow from bronchial circulation, which stopped when Ppv was 44 +/- 6 cmH2O and pulmonary arterial pressure was 46 +/- 7 cmH2O. A further increase in Ppv reversed systemic to pulmonary flow from bronchial circulation with blood flowing back into the dog. When net systemic to pulmonary flow from bronchial circulation by the overflow and weight change technique was zero a small bidirectional flow (3.7 +/- 2.9 ml.min-1 X 100 g dry lobe wt-1) was detected by dispersion of tagged red blood cells that had been injected.(ABSTRACT TRUNCATED AT 250 WORDS)  相似文献

The character and values of changes of the pulmonary and systemic hemodynamics following epinephrine, norepinephrine and angiotensin intravenous injection were studied in acute experiments on the anesthetized cats. After catecholamines injection pulmonary blood flow was always increased, meanwhile pulmonary artery pressure can be elevated (in the most observations) or decreased. In the cases of angiotensin administration the pulmonary blood flow could be augmented or decreased; pulmonary artery pressure had been increased or decreased independently from the character of changes of pulmonary flow. Thus, linear correlation between shifts of the pulmonary artery pressure and pulmonary blood flow had not been revealed. The changes of the pulmonary artery pressure were not correlated with the pulmonary vascular resistance ones; however they had strong relationship with the changes of the left atrial pressure. If the left atrial pressure was decreased the pulmonary artery pressure elevation was less, comparing with its values in experiments, where the left atrial pressure was increased; in the case of depressor shifts of pulmonary artery pressure, the left atrial pressure was also decreased. The character and values of the pulmonary blood flow changes were strongly correlated with the changes of the venous return; however they had no linear correlations with the right and left atrial pressures and pulmonary vascular resistance changes. Thus we concluded, that hemodynanics mechanisms of the pulmonary artery pressure and flow changes following vasoactive pressor drugs injection changes are different.  相似文献

A case is presented of pulmonary botryomycosis in a 61-year-old man with a massive right-side pulmonary infiltrate which looked like a tumor (on X-ray). Microscopic examination of a transbronchial biopsy specimen revealed chronic suppurative inflammation, which did not regress despite intensive antibiotic therapy for a period of two months. Histological analysis of specimens taken during surgery for hemoptysis revealed pulmonary botryomycosis. The disease was diagnosed on the basis of characteristic eosinophilic granules in which the bacteria are surrounded by protein material (Splendore-Hoeppli phenomenon). Pulmonary actinomycosis was excluded. The case demonstrates that pulmonary botryomycosis can have the appearance of a mass which resembles pulmonary carcinoma on X-ray, and may also be mistaken for pulmonary actinomycosis. For this reason, pulmonary botryomycosis, although rare, should be excluded during differential diagnosis of hemoptysis or pulmonary infiltrates.  相似文献

To evaluate pulmonary vasodilation in a structurally altered pulmonary vascular bed, we gave endothelium-dependent (acetylcholine) and endothelium-independent [sodium nitroprusside, prostaglandin I2 (PGI2)] vasodilators in vivo and to isolated lobar pulmonary arteries from neonatal calves with severe pulmonary hypertension. Acetylcholine, administered by pulmonary artery infusion, decreased pulmonary arterial pressure from 120 +/- 7 to 71 +/- 6 mmHg and total pulmonary resistance from 29.4 +/- 2.6 to 10.4 +/- 0.9 mmHg.l-1.min without changing systemic arterial pressure (90 +/- 5 mmHg). Although both sodium nitroprusside and PGI2 lowered pulmonary arterial pressure to 86 +/- 4 and 96 +/- 4 mmHg, respectively, they also decreased systemic arterial pressure to 65 +/- 4 and 74 +/- 3 mmHg, respectively. Neither sodium nitroprusside nor PGI2 was as effective as acetylcholine at lowering total pulmonary resistance (18.0 +/- 3.6 and 19.1 +/- 2.2 mmHg.l-1.min, respectively). Right-to-left cardiac shunt through the foramen ovale was decreased by acetylcholine from 1.6 +/- 0.4 to 0.1 +/- 0.2 l/min but was not changed by sodium nitroprusside or PGI2. Isolated lobar pulmonary arteries from pulmonary hypertensive calves did not relax in response to acetylcholine, whereas isolated pulmonary arteries from age-matched control calves did relax in response to acetylcholine. Control and pulmonary hypertensive lobar pulmonary arteries relaxed equally well in response to sodium nitroprusside. We concluded that acetylcholine vasodilation was impaired in vitro in isolated lobar pulmonary arteries but was enhanced in vivo in resistance pulmonary arteries in neonatal calves with pulmonary hypertension.  相似文献
