The holarctic subfamily Melitaeinae of Nymphalid butterflies (old genus Melitaea Hbn.) has been split into various genera by morphological systematics, but this division has been debated. This work presents the results of a preliminary survey of European taxa using two types of molecular criteria: analysis of enzyme variation by electrophoresis (19 loci) and sequencing of a mtDNA fragment (ND1 gene). The information provided by both kinds of markers are largely congruent. The division of the subfamily into two monophyletic lines corresponding to the genera Euphyryas s. 1. and Melitaea s. l. is validated. The subsequent division of the former genus into two units, Eurodryas and Hypodryas is also confirmed by molecular criteria. Inside rhe old genus Melitaea, a monophyletic assemblage, corresponding to the ‘Mellicta group’ is disclosed, but the phylogeny of the other species of the group is confused. Uniting them in a ‘Didymaeformia group’ or in a genus Melitaea s. str. risks rhe generation of a paraphyletic assemblage. It remains to be determined whether or not these results are due to insufficient resolution, or whether they reflecr a real evolutionary pattern  相似文献

Deoxyribonucleic acids of 8 species ofKluyveromyces and one round-spored species ofPichia have been compared with P32 labelled DNA ofK. marxianus in view of a systematic study by a method of hybridization in liquid media.The species related toK. marxianus by currently employed systematic characters show generally a good nucleotide sequence homology (> 70%), exceptK. wickerhamii.On the contrary,K. africanus, K. phaffii andP. abadiae show a very low percentage of hybridization withK. marxianus.This molecular approach yields useful information to test the value of usual criteria of yeast systematic.

Après avoir revu l'ensemble des caractères morphologiques, anatomiques, caryologiques, embryologiques, phytochimiques, sérologiques et palynologiques les auteurs concluent à la nécessité de séparer les deux genres Cneorum et Neochamaelea et de rattacher la famille aux Rutales. Par l'étude détaillée des caractères du pollen, ils montrent également que l'ultrastructure de l'exine est identique dans les deux genres, bien que l'ornementation et le nombre des apertures soient différents. Le type pollinique des Cneoraceae est comparable à celui des Rutaceae, Simaroubaceae et vient étayer l'opinion fréquemment admise que la famille appartient à l'ordre des Rutales.  相似文献

Phylogenetic relationships among Phlebotominae were inferred through a pilot study using parsimony analysis of the D2 domain of ribosomal DNA sequences: 455 pairs of bases were sequenced in nine species of Phlebotomine sandflies which belong to the genera Lutzomyia, Phlebotomus and Sergentomyia. Two taxa are used as outgroups: Psychoda sp. and Nemapalpus flavus which is the sister group of the Phlebotominae. The South American genus Lutzomyia appears to be monophyletic. The Mediterranean species Sergentomyia dentata is its sister group and is not clustered with the Old World genus Phlebotomus. The latter is a paraphyletic genus with an early individualisation of the branch including the closely related subgenera Phlebotomus and Paraphlebotomus, and a late individualisation of the subgenus Larroussius. These results have some consequences on the biogeography of the leishmaniasis in the Old World.  相似文献

Le genre Pycnomorphus Thomson est révisé et quatre espèces nouvelles sont décrites: Pycnomorphus guyanensis n. sp., P. pradosiae n. sp.et P. sarryi n. sp. de Guyane, et P. batesi n. sp. du Nicaragua. Un genre nouveau Pycnomorphidiellus n. gen. est créé pour une nouvelle espèce de Guyane, P. polyphagus n. sp. Intracellular nitrite reductase was found in some species of Saccharomyces (Torulaspora group of Van der Walt 1970) and all Debaryomyces (excepted D. castelli and D. coudertii. The taxonomical relationship between the 2 groupes are discussed.

There are a lot of different models of family structures apart from the traditional nuclear family which is why they have been grouped together under the generic termrestructured families. Do they satisfactorily meet — to paraphrase Winnicott — the psychic needs of children that live inside them? The answer cannot be simplyyes or no as it is obviously impossible to study each individual case. Like all human institutions, these families have specific failures and successes, which may be momentary during a crisis or a highly productive period while others may be more structural. Statistical comparison between bird populations from Lower and Middle Pleistocene and present ones makes it possible to demonstrate evolutionnary shifts such as increase in size or, on the contrary, decrease in size in some lineages and to discover some species or subspecies already found in Central Europe, in layers of the same epoch. In some other lineages the observed variations seem to be regarded as possible adaptations to local geographical conditions.Moreover the study of the birds contributes richly to the reconstitution of climates and biotops. New topics on ecology and systematics of recent and fossil Lingulids lead to an obvious revision of our knowledges on this zoological group. At first, the recent species need systematics and taxonomy on the bases of new described specific criteria (as, morphology of deltidial areas, muscle disposition); the results are briefly indicated. But, in fossil species, disorder and disparity of used characteristics are emphasized.The general conceiving on ecology of Lingulids are reviewed and discussed, especially on bathymetry and salinity; sediment and oxygenation conditions; taphocoenosis and lingulid «communities. On recent species, all these points are also studied, especially some ecological requirements (salinity, bathymetry, grain size), and mechanism of burrowing ability, burrow living positions in the sediments, as shell preservations after death and fossilization, to facilitate the paleobiotope interpretations. Recent animals are euryhalin, surviving at salinities from about 13 to 42‰; they could be considered as well adapted to waters with strong salinity fluctuations. They show preference to fine sand bottoms (lowest particle size about 40–60 μm). Their bathymetric distribution occurs between 0 and about 500 m (Lingula especially between 5–50 m; Glottidia 15–70 m). The isotherms 8–10°C seem to restrict their geographical and bathymetric distribution.Therefore, some post-palaeozoic lingulid bedsare studied or redescribed on the bases of the above discussed characteristics, and new interpretations on the environmental situation are given (Trias of Vosges Mountains; Oligocene from Japan; Eocene of London Basin). More caution must be used in study of fossil Lingulids that are not especially animals living in infralittoral bottoms with low salinity and deficient oxygenation, as generally accepted.  相似文献
