ABSTRACT: BACKGROUND: Although passive walking-like leg movement in the standing posture (PWM) has been used in the clinical field, the safety of PWM has not been fully determined despite the risks of orthostatic intolerance due to standing posture. The aim of the present study was to examine cardiocirculatory response during PWM in healthy young men. METHODS: The subjects (n = 13) spent 5 min in a sitting position and then 5 min in a quiet standing position to determine baseline levels. Thereafter, they underwent 25-min rhythmic PWM at 1 Hz while standing. In another bout, subjects experienced the same protocol except that they underwent 25-min quiet standing (QS) instead of 25-min PWM. Two subjects dropped out of the 25-min QS due to feeling of discomfort. Thus, data obtained in the remaining eleven subjects are presented. RESULTS: In the PWM trial, systolic arterial blood pressure (SAP) decreased from 112 +/- 8 mmHg during the sitting baseline period to 107 +/- 8 mmHg during the standing baseline period (p <0.05), while heart rate (HR) increased from 73 +/- 9 bpm during the sitting baseline period to 84 +/- 10 bpm during the standing baseline period (p <0.001). After the imposition of PWM, SAP increased from 107 +/- 8 mmHg in the standing baseline period to 120 +/- 6 mmHg (p <0.001), while HR decreased from 84 +/- 10 bpm in the standing baseline period to 76 +/- 9 bpm (p <0.05). In the QS trial, SAP, which had decreased during the standing baseline period compared to that during the sitting baseline period, remained lowered during the 25-min QS period, while HR, which had increased during the standing baseline period compared to that during the sitting baseline period, remained elevated during the 25-min QS period. In both bouts, HR showed almost mirror-image changes in the high-frequency component of HR variability, suggesting that the changes in HR were due to change in parasympathetic activation. Double product (HR x SAP), as a predictor of myocardial oxygen consumption, during the 25-min QS period tended to increase with time, but double product remained almost constant during the 25-min PWM period. CONCLUSIONS: The results suggest that PWM is effective for suppressing cardiocirculatory responses to orthostatic stress.  相似文献

Towards the ultimate goal of designing dual suspension off-road bicycles which decouple the suspension motion from the pedaling action, this study focused on determining experimentally the optimum pivot point height for a swing-arm type rear suspension such that the suspension motion was minimized. Specific objectives were (1) to determine the effect of interaction between the front and rear suspensions on the optimal pivot point height, (2) to investigate the sensitivity of the optimal height to the pedaling mechanics of the rider in both the seated and standing postures, (3) to determine the dependence of the optimal height on the rider posture. Eleven experienced subjects rode a custom-built adjustable dual suspension off-road bicycle, [Needle, S., and Hull, M. L., 1997, "An Off-Road Bicycle With Adjustable Suspension Kinematics," Journal of Mechanical Design 119, pp. 370-375], on an inclined treadmill. The treadmill was set to a constant 6 percent grade at a constant velocity of 24.8 km/hr. With the bicycle in a fixed gear combination of 38 x 14, the corresponding cadence was 84 rpm. For each subject, the pivot point height was varied randomly while the motions across both the front and rear suspension elements were measured. Subjects rode in both the seated and standing postures and with the front suspension active and inactive. It was found that the power loss from the rear suspension at the optimal pivot point height was not significantly dependent on the interaction between the front and rear suspensions. In the seated posture, the optimal pivot point height was 9.8 cm on average and had a range of 8.0-12.3 cm. The average optimal pivot point height for the seated posture corresponded to an average power loss for the rear suspension that was within 10 percent of the minimum power loss for each subject for 8 of the 11 subjects. In the standing posture, the average height was 5.9 cm and ranged from 5.1-7.2 cm. The average heightfor the standing posture was within 10 percent of the minimum power loss for each subject for 9 of the 11 subjects. While the optimum height was relatively insensitive to pedaling mechanics in both the seated and standing postures, the choice of the optimal pivot point height in production bicycles necessitates some compromise in performance given the disparity in the averages between the seated and standing postures.  相似文献

The aim of the study was to investigate the relationships between specific anthropometric (9 skinfolds, 13 girths, 8 lengths and 8 breadths), body composition (body fat %, fat free mass [FFM], fat mass [FM]) parameters and bone mineral parameters (bone mineral density [BMD], bone mineral content [BMC) in young rhythmic gymnasts and same age controls. Eighty nine 7-8-year-old girls participated in this study and were divided to the rhythmic gymnast's (n = 46) and control (n = 43) groups. Body composition was determined by dual energy X-ray absorptiometry (FFM, FM, body fat %, BMD and BMC). Body fat % and FM were lower and BMD and BMC values at lumbar spine (L2-L4) and femoral neck were higher in rhythmic gymnasts compared with controls. All measured skinfold thicknesses were thicker in controls. In girths, lengths and widths there were only few significant differences between the groups. Stepwise multiple regression analysis indicated that skinfold thicknesses (supraspinale and medial calf) influenced L2-L4 BMD only in controls 38.2% (R2x100). Supraspinale and iliac crest skinfold thicknesses characterised L2-L4 BMC 43.9% (R2x100). Calf girths influenced BMD in L2-L4 52.3% (R2x100) in controls. BMC in L2-L4 was dependent only on mid-thigh girths 35.9% (R2x100). BMD in L2-L4 was dependent on tibiale-laterale height 30.0% (R2x100). Biiliocristal breadths together with sitting height characterised BMC in L2-L4 BMD 62.3% (R2x100). In conclusion, we found that the relationships between anthropometry, body composition and bone parameters in young rhythmic gymnasts are weak. In control group first of all lower body anthropometric parameters significantly correlated with BMD and BMC in spine.  相似文献

A number of studies show a close temporal relationship between the rate of change in muscle thickness as detected by high-frequency intraluminal ultrasonography (HFIUS) and intraluminal pressure measured by manometry. There is a marked variability in esophageal contraction amplitude from one swallow to another at a given level in the esophagus and along the length of the esophagus. Furthermore, peristaltic pressures are higher in the distal compared with the proximal esophagus. The goal of this study was to evaluate the relationship between the baseline and peak muscle thickness and the contraction amplitude during swallow-induced contractions along the length of the esophagus. Fifteen normal subjects were studied using simultaneous esophageal pressures and HFIUS or HFIUS alone. Recordings were made during baseline and standardized swallows in the lower esophageal sphincter (LES) and at 2, 4, 6, 8, and 10 cm above the LES. HFIUS images were digitized, and esophageal muscle thickness and peak contraction amplitudes were measured. In the resting state, muscle thickness is higher in the LES compared with the rest of the esophagus. Baseline muscle thickness is also significantly higher at 2 cm vs. 10 cm above the LES. In a given subject and among different subjects, there is a good relationship between peak muscle thickness and peak peristaltic pressures (r = 0.55) at all sites along the length of the esophagus. The positive correlation between pressure and muscle thickness implies that the mean circumferential wall stress is fairly uniform from one swallow to another, irrespective of the contraction amplitude.  相似文献

The purpose of this study was to determine the body surface area (BSA) based on the alginate method, to derive formulae for estimating BSA, and to compare the error of the present formula to previous formulas obtained from other countries. We directly measured the entire body surface area of 34 males (20-60 years old, 158.5-187.5 cm in height, 48.5-103.1 kg in body weight) and 31 females (20-63 years old, 140.6-173.1 cm, 36.8-106.1 kg) using alginate. The measurements showed that the BSA had a mean of 18,339 cm(2) (15,416-22,753 cm(2)) for males, and 16,452 cm(2) (12,825-22,025 cm(2)) for females. Based on these measurements, a regression model to estimate BSA was derived: Estimated BSA (cm(2))=73.31 Height (cm)(0.725) x Weight (kg)(0.425) (r(2)=0.999). The mean error of the formula was -0.1%, and did not show any significant difference by gender or body shape. When applied to the datasets (n=506) composed of various races (Caucasians, Africans, and Asians), the mean error of the formula was 0.4% and was smaller than that of DuBois & DuBois's, Gehan & George's, and Mosteller's formulas when applied to the same datasets. The errors of the three previous formulas were also within 2%. Overall, formulas based on the DuBois exponent (Weight(0.425) Height (0.725)) did not show any tendency of overestimation or underestimation by body shape, but other BSA-formulae showed differences by body shape. The present BSA formula has shown good accuracy in Korean adults of all weight categories compared to traditional formulas.  相似文献

By means of ESR-method the rotary mobility of a tanol spin probe is studied in the whole blood of white rats at the temperatures 5.20 and 37 degrees C. It is shown that at all the temperatures the spin probe is localized in the blood plasma and has a value HFS a = (17.1 +/- 0.1) G. By means of linear anamorphism method it is shown on the example of the spectrum central line that the contour is lorenz, i. e. the superposition of the spectra of different sample regions is absent. The spin probe rotation frequency v is a stable blood parameter, the same for 11 rats investigated and dependent only on the blood temperature. For T = 5.20 and 37 degrees C the values have been received v = (86 +/- 2) x 10(8) s-1, (98 +/- 2) x 10(8) s-1 and (107 +/- 3) x 10(8) s-1, subsequently, which compared to v value in water-glycerin system (1:1) (WGS) allow one to calculate the blood microviscosity values (7.2 +/- 0.4), (6.3 +/- 0.4) and (5.8 +/- 0.4) mPds, subsequently. For the mentioned temperatures the non-sphericity parameter epsilon of the spin probe rotation has the values 0.19 +/- 0.03, 0.22 +/- 0.04 and 0.21 +/- 0.05, subsequently that is close to this parameter value for WCS (epsilon = 0.21 +/- 0.02; v = (6 divided by 20) x 10(9) s-1).  相似文献

Arm span and standing height were measured in 289 boys and 337 girls aged 6-15 years who were free from physical deformities which can affect stature or arm span. The arm span exceeded height in all age groups of boys and in older girls. At the age of 7, 11 and 12 years girls were significantly taller than the boys and had longer arm span while at the age of 15 years, the trend was opposite. The mean difference between the two anthropometric parameters for boys was 5.45 +/- 4.21 cm (t = 3.556, p < 0.001) and for girls was 4.94 +/- 4.96 cm (t = 3.542, p < 0.001). Correlation coefficient between height and arm span measurements for Malawian boys was 0.983 and for girls was 0.986. Height, arm span and height-arm span difference increased with age of children while height to arm span ratio decreased. The gender difference in height-arm span differences was only significant at the age of 15 years. Multiple regression and cross validation were performed. Height of Malawian children of both sexes can be estimated from equation: Height (cm) = 15.756 + (0.168 x age) + (0.839 x arm span) (SEE = 0.760, R2 = 0.988).  相似文献

This paper reports an indirect flow-injection (FI) method for the determination of the tetracycline drugs (TCs), tetracycline (TC), chlortetracycline (CTC) and oxytetracycline (OTC), using copper(II) as a probe ion. The method was based on the inhibition caused by these TCs to the copper(II)-catalysed chemiluminescence (CL) reaction between luminol and H(2)O(2). The CL reaction was induced on-line and injection of the sample produced negative peaks as a result of the copper(II) complexation or displacement by the analytes. The height of the peaks was proportional to the drug concentration in the sample. The choice of the catalyst ion, the concentration of luminol, H(2)O(2) and copper(II) are discussed. The linear range was 3.6 x 10(-8)-1.0 x 10(-5), 1.1 x 10(-7)-1.0 x 10(-5) and 1.9 x 10(-7)-1.0 x 10(-5) mol/L for TC, CTC and OTC, respectively. The detection limit was 5.0 x 10(-9) mol/L for TC, 1.0 x 10(-8) mol/L for CTC and 2.0 x 10(-8) mol/L for OTC (3sigma), respectively. The method was applied to the determination of TCs in pharmaceutical preparations and human urine with recoveries in the range 95-105%.  相似文献

Diphtheria toxin T domain aids the membrane translocation of diphtheria toxin A chain. When the isolated T domain is deeply membrane-inserted, helices TH 8-9 form a transmembrane hairpin, while helices TH 5-7 form a deeply inserted nontransmembrane structure. Blocking deep insertion of TH 8-9 blocks deep insertion of TH 5-7 ( Zhao, G., and London, E. ( 2005) Biochemistry 44, 4488- 4498 ). We now examine the effects of blocking the deep insertion of TH 5 and TH 6/7. An A282R/V283R dual substitution in TH 5 prevented its deep insertion, significantly decreased the deep insertion of TH 9, and to a lesser degree that of TH 6/7. Blocking deep insertion of TH 6/7 with a L307R mutation had no effect on the deep insertion of TH 5, similar to its previously characterized lack of effect on the deep insertion of TH 8-9. An I364K mutation in TH 9 blocked TH 8-9 deep insertion and greatly reduced pore formation by the T domain, consistent with the role of TH 8-9 in pore formation. The A282R/V283R mutations also reduced the extent of pore formation, but to a lesser degree, suggesting either that TH 5 is part of the pore or that interactions with TH 5 affect the ability of TH 8-9 to form pores. The L307R mutation enhanced the extent of pore formation, suggesting that deeply inserted TH 6/7 may act as a "cork" that partly blocks the pore. Combined, these results indicate that TH 5, 8, and 9 combine to form a deeply inserted scaffold of more strongly associated helices.  相似文献

Direct measurement of body surface area (Ab) was made on 20 male adult Nigerians of African descent by coating and planimetry. The results were compared with estimated Ab values obtained using six widely accepted height and weight prediction equations. The results show that existing formulas do not predict surface areas of our subjects accurately. Measured Ab values of our subjects were 6-22% greater than predicted values obtained from non-African nomograms. Using these results, we computed new variables for height and weight formulas that accurately predict the surface area of Africans. The closest fit to measured values is given by the equation Ab(m2) = 0.001315 x Height 1.2139 (cm) x weight 0.2620 (kg) +/- 0.04815 (SEE). The new variables are significantly different from those of existing equations. Our height variable is several times greater than the weight variable and reflects a greater importance of height than weight in determining the surface area of Africans than is the case with Caucasians.  相似文献

The human esophagus is lined by stratified squamous epithelium (ESSE), and in some subjects with reflux disease the distal esophagus becomes lined by Barrett's specialized columnar epithelium (BSCE). ESSE and BSCE differ both histologically and functionally, the latter evident by differences in their in vivo transmural electrical potential difference (PD), ESSE averaging -15 mV and BSCE being greater than -25 mV. In this report we examine the basis for this difference in PD. This is done by mounting endoscopic biopsies of ESSE from 25 subjects without esophageal disease and BSCE from 19 with Barrett's esophagus in mini-Ussing chambers for electrical recordings basally and after bathing solution ion replacement. The results show that the PD of human ESSE reflects a low level of active ion transport (5.1 +/- 0.8 muA/cm(2)) combined with a high level of tissue (electrical) resistance (344 +/- 34 Omega.cm(2)) and that of BSCE reflects a high level of active transport (43.6 +/- 11.6 muA/cm(2)) combined with a low level of resistance (69 +/- 8 Omega.cm(2)). Furthermore, active transport in ESSE was principally due to sodium absorption whereas in BSCE it was equally divided between sodium absorption and anion (chloride/bicarbonate) secretion, the latter through an apical membrane, 4-acetamido4'-isothiocyano-2,2'-stilbenedisulfonic acid-sensitive anion channel. As an anion-secreting tissue with bicarbonate secretory capacity more than fivefold greater than ESSE, BSCE is better suited than ESSE for defense of the esophagus against reflux disease.  相似文献

目前有关儿童青少年坐高、下肢长及其比值的报道多为非双生子人群的研究。为了解遗传和环境因素对儿童青少年坐高、下肢长及坐高与下肢长比值影响的相对大小,我们对796对6~18岁双生子的身高和坐高进行了测量,计算下肢长及坐高与下肢长比值,采用结构方程模型分析其遗传和环境相对效应。结果发现,校正年龄后,男女15~18岁年龄组坐高和下肢长的遗传度(0.63~0.78)均分别高于同性别低年龄段儿童青少年(0.31~0.68);坐高与下肢长比值的遗传度除9~11岁女生(0.84)外,其他年龄组均较低(男0.16~0.46,女0.21~0.57);共同环境因素和特殊环境因素对6~14岁儿童青少年各指标的作用较大。本研究提示,在快速发育时期,坐高、下肢长和坐高与下肢长比值对环境因素更为敏感,遗传度较低;机体越成熟,其遗传效应更强。  相似文献

We discovered that 4-(2-pyridylazo) resorcinol (PAR) has a strong catalytic effect on luminol-potassium ferricyanide chemiluminescence (CL). Results indicated that the chemiluminescence intensities at maximum light emission were linearly corrected with the concentration of PAR over the range 1.0 x 10(-5)-1.0 x 10(-7) mol/L. A detection limit of 5.7 x 10(-8) mol/L for PAR was achieved. It was found that some metal ions strongly affected this catalytic reaction. Based on this finding, the luminol-potassium ferricyanide-PAR reaction was developed for the determination of metal ions. The detection limits (S/N = 3) for Ni2+, Cr3+, Zn2+, Co2+ and Mn2+ were determined to be 1.0 x 10(-9) mol/L, 5.0 x 10(-9) mol/L, 5.0 x 10(-8) mol/L, 1.0 x 10(-9) mol/L and 1.0 x 10(-8) mol/L, respectively. In addition, the relative standard deviation values for these metal ion assays were in the range 0.82-2.72% (n = 6).  相似文献

为探讨落叶松幼苗光合特性对氮、磷营养缺乏的响应规律,在温室内用砂培方法培养和处理落叶树幼苗,测定了净光合速率和叶绿素荧光等反映其光合能力的参数,分析了落叶松幼苗的光合特性对氮、磷营养缺乏的响应规律.结果表明,氮素供应不足(1mmol·L-1)时,落叶松幼苗针叶的全氮含量、叶绿素含量和净光合速率与对照相比都显著降低,分别下降了37%、31%和59%,同时,Fv/Fm(反映光系统II最大光能转换效率)和Fv/Fo(反映光系统II潜在活性)也分别下降了22%和57%,而叶片可溶性蛋白含量只有微弱下降.磷素供应不足(1/8mmol·L-1)时,叶片全氮和全磷含量、叶绿素含量、叶片可溶性蛋白含量和Fv/Fm与对照相比差异均不显著,净光合速率和Fv/Fo下降13%.氮、磷同时缺乏时,上述各项指标的变化与单独缺氮处理的相似,这意味着本实验中缺磷处理(1/8mmol·L-1)对落叶松幼苗光合特性影响相对较小.  相似文献

Hematopoietic stem cells derived from fetal liver have promising therapeutic potential for allotransplantation but require a specific protocol to minimize the damage produced by cryopreservation procedures. In this study, a fundamental approach was applied for designing a cell preservation protocol. To this end, the biophysical characteristics that describe the osmotic reaction of CD34(+)CD38(-) human fetal liver stem cell candidates were studied using fluorescent microscopy. The osmotically inactive volume of the stem cell candidates was determined as 48% of the isotonic volume. The permeability coefficients for water and Me(2)SO were determined at T = +22 degree C: L(p) = 0.27 +/- 0.03 microm x min(-1)atm(-1), P(Me(2)SO)) = 2.09 +/- 0.85 x 10 (-4) cm x min(-1), sigma (Me(2)SO)) = 0.63 +/- 0.03 and at T = +12 degree C: L(p) = 0.15 +/-0.02 microm x min(-1)atm(-1), P(Me(2)SO)) = 6.44 +/-1.42 x 10 (-5) cm x min(-1), sigma (Me(2)SO)) = 0.46 +/- 0.05. The results obtained suggest that post-hypertonic and hypotonic stress are the possible reasons for damage to a CD34(+)CD38(-) cell during the cryopreservation procedure.  相似文献

采用细菌转化和杂交的方法,成功地将全套发光酶基因标记系统Tn7luxCDABE引入绿针假单胞菌(Pseudomonas chlororaphis)PL9,得到稳定的发光标记菌PL9L。采用发光菌落平板计数法和X射线胶片自显影法,通过盆栽试验和盒裁试验,研究了发光标记菌PL9L在棉花根圈的定殖动态和分布规律。盆栽试验结果表明,在灭菌土盆栽中,播种后6d左右PL9L在棉花根圈的定殖水平达最高(31×109cfu/g根土),播种后56d左右趋向稳定,PL9L数量为17×102cfu/g根土;未灭菌土盆载中,播种后8d左右PL9L的定殖水平达最高(11×109cfu/g根土),46d左右趋向稳定,菌数为14×102cfu/g根土。盒栽试验结果表明,PL9L可从种子向根尖方向扩散,但并不与根的伸长生长同步,播种后36d,灭菌土盒栽中PL9L可扩散至种子下方120cm以内,而未灭菌土盒栽中PL9L扩散至110cm以内。在棉花根尖区域均未检测到PL9L。  相似文献

The aim of this investigation was to study the possible relationships between anthropometry, flexibility and specific swimming results in female breaststroke swimmers. Subjects were 125 female breaststroke swimmers in age of 11-18 years. Body height and mass were measured and BMI (kg/m2 ) and Broca index (body height in cm - 100 = weight in kg) were calculated. The flexibility of hip external rotation, knee external rotation, ankle dorsal flexion and ankle supination were measured with plastic goniometer. 100 m breaststroke swimming using kickboard and legs only was used as a swimming performance parameter. The number of kicks was also fixed. Horizontal jumping ability was measured using a simple standing broad jump (cm) minus body height (cm). As a rule, flexibility in different joints did not depend on anthropometrical parameters. Only knee external rotation and ankle dorsal flexion correlated significantly with body mass (r = -0.221 and r = -0.210, respectively) and BMI (r = 0.242 and r = 0.204, respectively). The relationship between flexibility in different joints, as a rule, was not significant. Stepwise multiple regression analysis indicated that from the used anthropometrical parameters the most important was the body height, which explained 11.1% (R2 x 100) of the 100 m breaststroke swim results using legs only. The most important parameter from the measured flexibility indices was knee external rotation (11.1%, R2 x 100). Combination of knee external rotation and ankle supination increased the determination coefficient to 24.4%. Finally, three flexibility measures (knee external rotation, ankle supination, hip external rotation) explained the swimming results by 28.2% (R2 x 100). It was concluded that the good flexibility is more important than single anthropometrical parameters when explaining the breaststroke swimming results using kickboard and legs only.  相似文献

We previously showed, in normal subjects, a positive correlation between the esophageal contraction amplitude and peak muscle thickness. The goal of this study was to determine the relationship between esophageal muscle thickness and contraction amplitude in patients with high-amplitude peristaltic and simultaneous contractions. Eleven patients with high-amplitude peristaltic contractions, 8 with diffuse esophageal spasm (DES), 7 with nonspecific (NS) motor disorder of the esophagus, and 10 normal subjects were studied using simultaneous pressure and ultrasound imaging. Pressure was recorded by manometry and ultrasound imaging with a high-frequency ultrasound probe catheter. Recordings were performed in the lower esophageal sphincter (LES) and at 2, 4, 6, 8, and 10 cm above the LES during resting state and swallow-induced contractions. Baseline esophageal muscle was thicker in the distal, compared with the proximal esophagus both in normal subjects and patient groups. Patients with DES and nutcracker esophagus (NC) have a higher baseline muscle thickness compared with normal and NS patients. Correlation between the peak pressure and the peak muscle thickness was weaker in patients with NC and DES compared with normal subjects and patients with NS. Whereas normal subjects have good correlation between delta (difference between peak and baseline) muscle thickness and peak pressures, this relationship was absent in patients with NC and DES. Increase in contraction amplitude in patients with NC and DES was associated with an increase in baseline thickness of esophageal muscularis propria. Increase in baseline thickness was specific to patients with spastic motor disorders and was not seen in patients with NS.  相似文献

The purpose of this study was to evaluate physical demands of football players during preseason practices in the heat. Furthermore, we sought to compare how physical demands differ between positions and playing status. Male National Collegiate Athletic Association Division 1 football players (n = 49) participated in 9 practice sessions (142 ± 16 minutes per session; wet bulb globe temperature (WBGT) 28.75 ± 2.11°C) over 8 days. Heart rate (HR) and global positioning system data were recorded throughout the entirety of each practice to determine the distance covered (DC), velocity (V), maximal HR (HRmax), and average HR (HRavg). The subjects were divided into 2 groups: linemen (L) (N = 25; age: 22 ± 1 years, weight: 126 ± 16 kg, height: 190 ± 4 cm,) vs. nonlinemen (NL) (N = 24; age: 21 ± 1 years, weight: 91 ± 11 kg, height: 183 ± 8 cm) and starters (S) (N = 17; age: 21 ± 1 years, weight: 118 ± 21 kg, height: 190 ± 7 cm) vs. nonstarters (NS) (N = 32; age: 20 ± 1 years, weight: 105 ± 22 kg, height: 185 ± 7 cm) for statistical analysis. The DC (3,532 ± 943 vs. 2,573 ± 489 m; p = 0.001) and HRmax (201 ± 9 vs. 194 ± 11 b·min(-1); p = 0.025) were significantly greater in NL compared with that in L. In addition, NL spent more time (p < 0.0001) and covered more distance (p = 0.002) at higher velocities than L did. Differences between S vs. NS were observed (p = 0.008, p = 0.031), with S obtaining higher velocities than NS did. Given the demands of their playing positions, NL were required to cover more distance at higher velocities, resulting in a greater HRmax than that of L. Therefore, it appears that L engage in more isometric work than NL do. In addition, the players exposed to similar practice demands provide similar work output during preseason practice sessions regardless of their playing status.  相似文献
