Low‐temperature‐processed perovskite solar cells (PSCs), which can be fabricated on rigid or flexible substrates, are attracting increasing attention because they have a wide range of potential applications. In this study, the stability of reduced graphene oxide and the ability of a poly(triarylamine) underlayer to improve the quality of overlying perovskite films to construct hole‐transport bilayer by means of a low‐temperature method are taken advantage of. The bilayer is used in both flexible and rigid inverted planar PSCs with the following configuration: substrate/indium tin oxide/reduced graphene oxide/polytriarylamine/CH3NH3PbI3/PCBM/bathocuproine/Ag (PCBM = [6,6]‐phenyl‐C61‐butyric acid methyl ester). The flexible and rigid PSCs show power conversion efficiencies of 15.7 and 17.2%, respectively, for the aperture area of 1.02 cm2. Moreover, the PSC based the bilayer shows outstanding light‐soaking stability, retaining ≈90% of its original efficiency after continuous illumination for 500 h at 100 mW cm?2.  相似文献

Metal halide perovskite solar cells (PSCs) have emerged as promising candidates for photovoltaic technology with their power conversion efficiencies over 23%. For prototypical organic–inorganic metal halide perovskites, their intrinsic instability poses significant challenges to the commercialization of PSCs. Recently, the scientific community has done tremendous work in composition engineering to develop more robust light‐absorbing layers, including mixed‐ion hybrid perovskites, low‐dimensional hybrid perovskites, and all‐inorganic perovskites. This review provides an overview of the impact of these perovskites on the efficiency and long‐term stability of PSCs.  相似文献

Despite recent breakthroughs in power conversion efficiencies (PCEs), which have resulted in PCEs exceeding 22%, perovskite solar cells (PSCs) still face serious drawbacks in terms of their printability, reliability, and stability. The most efficient PSC architecture, which is based on titanium dioxide as an electron transport layer, requires an extremely high‐temperature sintering process (≈500 °C), reveals hysterical discrepancies in the device measurement, and suffers from performance degradation under light illumination. These drawbacks hamper the practical development of PSCs fabricated via a printing process on flexible plastic substrates. Herein, an innovative method to fabricate low‐temperature‐processed, hysteresis‐free, and stable PSCs with a large area up to 1 cm2 is demonstrated using a versatile organic nanocomposite that combines an electron acceptor and a surface modifier. This nanocomposite forms an ideal, self‐organized electron transport layer (ETL) via a spontaneous vertical phase separation, which leads to hysteresis‐free, planar heterojunction PSCs with stabilized PCEs of over 18%. In addition, the organic nanocomposite concept is successfully applied to the printing process, resulting in a PCE of over 17% in PSCs with printed ETLs.  相似文献

Organic–inorganic hybrid perovskite solar cells (PVSCs) have become the front‐running photovoltaic technology nowadays and are expected to profoundly impact society in the near future. However, their practical applications are currently hampered by the challenges of realizing high performance and long‐term stability simultaneously. Herein, the development of inverted PVSCs is reported based on low temperature solution‐processed CuCrO2 nanocrystals as a hole‐transporting layer (HTL), to replace the extensively studied NiOx counterpart due to its suitable electronic structure and charge carrier transporting properties. A ≈45 nm thick compact CuCrO2 layer is incorporated into an inverted planar configuration of indium tin oxides (ITO)/c‐CuCrO2/perovskite/[6,6]‐phenyl‐C61‐butyric acid methyl ester (PCBM)/bathocuproine (BCP)/Ag, to result in the high steady‐state power conversion efficiency of 19.0% versus 17.1% for the typical low temperature solution‐processed NiOx‐based devices. More importantly, the optimized CuCrO2‐based device exhibits a much enhanced photostability than the reference device due to the greater UV light‐harvesting of the CuCrO2 layer, which can efficiently prevent the perovskite film from intense UV light exposure to avoid associated degradation. The results demonstrate the promising potential of CuCrO2 nanocrystals as an efficient HTL for realizing high‐performance and photostable inverted PVSCs.  相似文献

Semitransparent perovskite solar cells (st‐PSCs) have received remarkable interest in recent years because of their great potential in applications for solar window, tandem solar cells, and flexible photovoltaics. However, all reported st‐PSCs require expensive transparent conducting oxides (TCOs) or metal‐based thin films made by vacuum deposition, which is not cost effective for large‐scale fabrication: the cost of TCOs is estimated to occupy ≈75% of the manufacturing cost of PSCs. To address this critical challenge, this study reports a low‐temperature and vacuum‐free strategy for the fabrication of highly efficient TCO‐free st‐PSCs. The TCO‐free st‐PSC on glass exhibits 13.9% power conversion efficiency (PCE), and the four‐terminal tandem cell made with the st‐PSC top cell and c‐Si bottom cell shows an overall PCE of 19.2%. Due to the low processing temperature, the fabrication of flexible st‐PSCs is demonstrated on polyethylene terephthalate and polyimide, which show excellent stability under repeated bending or even crumbing.  相似文献

To solve critical issues related to device stability and performance of perovskite solar cells (PSCs), FA0.026MA0.974PbI3?yCly‐Cu:NiO (formamidinium methylammonium (FAMA)‐perovskite‐Cu:NiO) and Al2O3/Cu:NiO composites are developed and utilized for fabrication of highly stable and efficient PSCs through fully‐ambient‐air processes. The FAMA‐perovskite‐Cu:NiO composite crystals prepared without using any antisolvents not only improve the perovskite film quality with large‐size crystals and less grain boundaries but also tailor optical and electronic properties and suppress charge recombination with reduction of trap density. A champion device based on the composites as light absorber and Al2O3/Cu:NiO interfacial layer between electron transport layer and active layer yields power conversion efficiency (PCE) of 20.67% with VOC of 1.047 V, JSC of 24.51 mA cm?2, and fill factor of 80.54%. More importantly, such composite‐based PSCs without encapsulation show significant enhancement in long‐term air‐stability, thermal‐ and photostability with retaining 97% of PCE over 240 d under ambient conditions (25–30 °C, 45–55% humidity).  相似文献

Each component layer in a perovskite solar cell plays an important role in the cell performance. Here, a few types of polymers including representative p‐type and n‐type semiconductors, and a classical insulator, are chosen to dope into a perovskite film. The long‐chain polymer helps to form a network among the perovskite crystalline grains, as witnessed by the improved film morphology and device stability. The dewetting process is greatly suppressed by the cross‐linking effect of the polymer chains, thereby resulting in uniform perovskite films with large grain sizes. Moreover, it is found that the polymer‐doped perovskite shows a reduced trap‐state density, likely due to the polymer effectively passivating the perovskite grain surface. Meanwhile the doped polymer formed a bridge between grains for efficient charge transport. Using this approach, the solar cell efficiency is improved from 17.43% to as high as 19.19%, with a much improved stability. As it is not required for the polymer to have a strict energy level matching with the perovskite, in principle, one may use a variety of polymers for this type of device design.  相似文献

Organometal trihalide perovskites have recently emerged as promising materials for low‐cost, high‐efficiency solar cells. In less than five years, the efficiency of perovskite solar cells (PSC) has been updated rapidly as a result of new strategies adopted in their fabrication process, including device structure, interfacial engineering, chemical compositional tuning, and crystallization kinetics control. To date, the best PSC efficiency has reached 20.1%, which is close to that of single crystal silicon solar cells. However, the stability of PSC devices is still unsatisfactory and is the main bottleneck impeding their commercialization. Here, we summarize recent studies on the degradation mechanisms of organometal trihalide perovskites in PSC devices, and the strategies for stability improvement.  相似文献

Planar perovskite solar cells obtained by low‐temperature solution processing are of great promise, given a high compatibility with flexible substrates and perovskite‐based tandem devices, whilst benefitting from relatively simple manufacturing methods. However, ionic defects at surfaces usually cause detrimental carrier recombination, which links to one of dominant losses in device performance, slow transient responses, and notorious hysteresis. Here, it is shown that several different types of ionic defects can be simultaneously passivated by simple inorganic binary alkaline halide salts with their cations and anions. Compared to previous literature reports, this work demonstrates a promising passivation technology for perovskite solar cells. The efficient defect passivation significantly suppresses the recombination at the SnO2/perovskite interface, contributing to an increase in the open‐circuit voltage, the fast response of steady‐state efficiency, and the elimination of hysteresis. By this strong leveraging of multiple‐element passivation, low‐temperature‐processed, planar‐structured perovskite solar cells of 20.5% efficiencies, having negligible hysteresis, are obtained. Moreover, this defect‐passivation enhances the stability of solar cells with efficiency beyond 20%, retaining 90% of their initial performance after 30 d. This approach aims at developing the concept of defect engineering, which can be expanded to multiple‐element passivation from monoelement counterparts using simple and low‐cost inorganic materials.  相似文献

A novel atomic stacking transporting layer (ASTL) based on 2D atomic sheets of titania (Ti1?δO2) is demonstrated in organic–inorganic lead halide perovskite solar cells. The atomically thin ASTL of 2D titania, which is fabricated using a solution‐processed self‐assembly atomic layer‐by‐layer deposition technique, exhibits the unique features of high UV transparency and negligible (or very low) oxygen vacancies, making it a promising electron transporting material in the development of stable and high‐performance perovskite solar cells. In particular, the solution‐processable atomically thin ASTL of 2D titania atomic sheets shows superior inhibition of UV degradation of perovskite solar cell devices, compared to the conventional high‐temperature sintered TiO2 counterpart, which usually causes the notorious instability of devices under UV irradiation. The discovery opens up a new dimension to utilize the 2D layered materials with a great variety of homostructrual or heterostructural atomic stacking architectures to be integrated with the fabrication of large‐area photovoltaic or optoelectronic devices based on the solution processes.  相似文献

Perovskite solar cells have been heralded as one of the most promising emerging technologies in 2016 because of the very high power conversion efficiency of 22% and the low cost of generating electricity compared to even fossil fuels. These are formed with various dimensionalities and can be fully manipulated once their bulk structure is reduced to a low‐dimensional structure. Despite being one of the most attractive materials to date, their instability significantly influences device performance and subsequently prevents the timely commercialization of perovskite solar cell technology. In this review, the recent advances in the synthesis of stable low‐dimensional metal‐halide perovskites are highlighted.  相似文献

Polymer solar cells (PSCs) are fabricated without solvent additives using a low‐bandgap polymer, PBDTTT‐C‐T, as the donor and [6,6]‐phenyl‐C61‐butyric‐acid‐methyl‐ester (PC61BM) as the acceptor. Donor‐acceptor blend and layer‐by‐layer (LL) solution process are used to form active layers. Relative to the blend devices, the LL devices exhibit stronger absorption, better vertical phase separation, higher hole and electron mobilities, and better charge extraction at correct electrodes. As a result, after thermal annealing the LL devices exhibit an average power conversion efficiency (PCE) of 6.86%, which is much higher than that of the blend devices (4.31%). The best PCE of the LL devices is 7.13%, which is the highest reported for LL processed PSCs and among the highest reported for PC61BM‐based single‐junction PSCs.  相似文献

The unsatisfactory performance of low‐bandgap mixed tin (Sn)–lead (Pb) halide perovskite subcells has been one of the major obstacles hindering the progress of the power conversion efficiencies (PCEs) of all‐perovskite tandem solar cells. By analyzing dark‐current density and distribution, it is identified that charge recombination at grain boundaries is a key factor limiting the performance of low‐bandgap mixed Sn–Pb halide perovskite subcells. It is further found that bromine (Br) incorporation can effectively passivate grain boundaries and lower the dark current density by two–three orders of magnitude. By optimizing the Br concentration, low‐bandgap (1.272 eV) mixed Sn–Pb halide perovskite solar cells are fabricated with open‐circuit voltage deficits as low as 0.384 V and fill factors as high as 75%. The best‐performing device demonstrates a PCE of >19%. The results suggest an important direction for improving the performance of low‐bandgap mixed Sn–Pb halide perovskite solar cells.  相似文献

Improving device lifetime is one of the critical challenges for the practical use of metal halide perovskite solar cells (PSCs), wherein a reliable encapsulation is indispensable. Herein, based on an in‐depth understanding of the degradation mechanism for the PSCs, a solvent‐free and low‐temperature melting encapsulation technique, by employing low‐cost paraffin as the encapsulant that is compatible with perovskite absorbers, is demonstrated. The encapsulation strategy enables the full encapsulating operations to be undertaken under an ambient environment. It is found that the strategy not only removes residual oxygen and moisture to prevent the perovskite from phase segregation, but also suppresses the species volatilization to impede absorber decomposition, enabling a PSC devices with good thermal and moisture stability. As a result, the as‐encapsulated PSCs achieve a 1000 h operational lifetime for the encapsulated device at continuous maximum power point output under an ambient environment. This work paves the way for scalable and robust encapsulation strategy feasible to hybrid perovskite optoelectronics in an economic manner.  相似文献

Perovskite solar cells (PSCs) have attracted much attention in the past decade and their power conversion efficiency has been rapidly increasing to 25.2%, which is comparable with commercialized solar cells. Currently, the long‐term stability of PSCs remains as a major bottleneck impeding their future commercial applications. Beyond strengthening the perovskite layer itself and developing robust external device encapsulation/packaging technology, integration of effective barriers into PSCs has been recognized to be of equal importance to improve the whole device’s long‐term stability. These barriers can not only shield the critical perovskite layer and other functional layers from external detrimental factors such as heat, light, and H2O/O2, but also prevent the undesired ion/molecular diffusion/volatilization from perovskite. In addition, some delicate barrier designs can simultaneously improve the efficiency and stability. In this review article, the research progress on barrier designs in PSCs for improving their long‐term stability is reviewed in terms of the barrier functions, locations in PSCs, and material characteristics. Regarding specific barriers, their preparation methods, chemical/photoelectronic/mechanical properties, and their role in device stability, are further discussed. On the basis of these accumulative efforts, predictions for the further development of effective barriers in PSCs are provided at the end of this review.  相似文献

Layered low‐dimensional perovskite structures employing bulky organic ammonium cations have shown significant improvement on stability but poorer performance generally compared to their 3D counterparts. Here, a mixed passivation (MP) treatment is reported that uses a mixture of bulky organic ammonium iodide (iso‐butylammonium iodide, iBAI) and formammidinium iodide (FAI), enhancing both power conversion efficiency and stability. Through a combination of inactivation of the interfacial trap sites, characterized by photoluminescence measurement, and formation of an interfacial energetic barrier by which ionic transport is reduced, demonstrated by Kelvin probe force microscopy, MP treatment of the perovskite/hole transport layer interface significantly suppresses photocurrent hysteresis. Using this MP treatment, the champion mixed‐halide perovskite cell achieves a reverse scan and stabilized power conversion efficiency of 21.7%. Without encapsulation, the devices show excellent moisture stability, sustaining over 87% of the original performance after 38 d storage in ambient environment under 75 ± 20% relative humidity. This work shows that FAI/ i BAI, is a new and promising material combination for passivating perovskite/selective‐contact interfaces.  相似文献
