Despite great progress in aluminum ion batteries (AIBs), the commercialization and performance improvement of AIBs‐based carbon cathodes is greatly impeded by sluggish intercalation/extraction and redox kinetics due to large‐sized AlCl4? anions. Phosphates with tunnel channels and much larger d‐spacing than the radius of Al3+ could be an alternative candidate as a cathode for potential high‐performance AIBs. Herein, elaborately designed porous tunnel structured Co3(PO4)2@C composites derived from ZIF‐67 as AIBs cathodes are demonstrated, showing increased active sites, high ionic mobility, and high Al3+ ion diffusion coefficient, leading to remarkably enhanced discharge–charge redox reaction kinetics. Furthermore, the carbon shell and porous structure performs as armor to alleviate volume change and maintain the structure integrity of the cathodes. As expected, the rationally constructed Co3(PO4)2@C composite exhibits a superior capacity of 111 mA h g?1 at a high current density of 6 A g?1 and 151 mA h g?1 at 2 A g?1 after 500 cycles with capacity decay of 0.02% per cycle. This innovative strategy could be a big step forward for long‐term cycle stable AIBs and reveals significant insights into the redox reaction mechanism for high‐performance AIBs based on Al3+ rather than large‐sized AlCl4?.  相似文献

Sodium (Na) super ion conductor structured Na3V2(PO4)3 (NVP) is extensively explored as cathode material for sodium‐ion batteries (SIBs) due to its large interstitial channels for Na+ migration. The synthesis of 3D graphene‐like structure coated on NVP nanoflakes arrays via a one‐pot, solid‐state reaction in molten hydrocarbon is reported. The NVP nanoflakes are uniformly coated by the in situ generated 3D graphene‐like layers with the thickness of 3 nm. As a cathode material, graphene covered NVP nanoflakes exhibit excellent electrochemical performances, including close to theoretical reversible capacity (115.2 mA h g?1 at 1 C), superior rate capability (75.9 mA h g?1 at 200 C), and excellent cyclic stability (62.5% of capacity retention over 30000 cycles at 50 C). Furthermore, the 3D graphene‐like cages after removing NVP also serve as a good anode material and deliver a specific capacity of 242.5 mA h g?1 at 0.1 A g?1. The full SIB using these two cathode and anode materials delivers a high specific capacity (109.2 mA h g?1 at 0.1 A g?1) and good cycling stability (77.1% capacity retention over 200 cycles at 0.1 A g?1).  相似文献

Zinc‐based batteries have a high capacity and are safe, cost‐effective, environmentally‐friendly, and capable of scalable production. However, dendrite formation and poor reversibility hinder their performance. Metal‐organic framework (MOF)‐based Zn anodes are made by wet chemistry to address these issues. These MOF‐based anodes exhibit high efficiency during Zn plating‐stripping and prevent dendrite formation, as shown by ex situ SEM analysis. The practicality of the MOF‐based anodes is demonstrated in aqueous Zn ion batteries, which show improved performance including specific capacity, cycle life, and safety relative to the pristine Zn anode due to their hydrophilic and porous surface. These results, along with the easy scalability of the process, demonstrate the high potential of MOF‐modified Zn anodes for use in dendrite‐free, higher‐performance, Zn‐based energy storage systems.  相似文献

Metal–organic frameworks (MOFs) with intrinsically porous structures are promising candidates for energy storage, however, their low electrical conductivity limits their electrochemical energy storage applications. Herein, the hybrid architecture of intrinsically conductive Cu‐MOF nanowire arrays on self‐supported polypyrrole (PPy) membrane is reported for integrated flexible supercapacitor (SC) electrodes without any inactive additives, binders, or substrates involved. The conductive Cu‐MOFs nanowire arrays afford high conductivity and a sufficiently active surface area for the accessibility of electrolyte, whereas the PPy membrane provides decent mechanical flexibility, efficient charge transfer skeleton, and extra capacitance. The all‐solid‐state flexible SC using integrated hybrid electrode demonstrates an exceptional areal capacitance of 252.1 mF cm?2, an energy density of 22.4 µWh cm?2, and a power density of 1.1 mW cm?2, accompanied by an excellent cycle capability and mechanical flexibility over a wide range of working temperatures. This work not only presents a robust and flexible electrode for wide temperature range operating SC but also offers valuable concepts with regards to designing MOF‐based hybrid materials for energy storage and conversion systems.  相似文献

Sodium‐ion batteries (SIBs) that operate in a wide temperature range are in high demand for practical large‐scale electric energy storage. Herein, a novel full SIB is composed of a bulk Bi anode, a Na3V2(PO4)3/carbon nanotubes composite (NVP‐CNTs) cathode and a NaPF6‐diglyme electrolyte. The Bi anode gradually evolves into a porous network in the ether‐based electrolyte during initial cycles, and in the NVP‐CNTs cathode the NVP is cross linked by CNTs to show large exchange current density. These unique features merit the full SIB of Bi//NVP‐CNTs with high Na+ diffusion coefficient and low reaction activation energy, and hence fast Na+ transport and facile redox reaction kinetics. The resultant full SIB presents high power density of 2354.6 W kg?1 and energy density of 150 Wh kg?1 and superior cycling stability in a wide temperature range from ?15 to 45 °C. This will shed light on battery design, and promote their development for practical applications in various weather conditions.  相似文献

Na3V2(PO4)3 (NVP) is regarded as a promising cathode for advanced sodium‐ion batteries (SIBs) due to its high theoretical capacity and stable sodium (Na) super ion conductor (NASICON) structure. However, strongly impeded by its low electronic conductivity, the general NVP delivers undesirable rate capacity and fails to meet the demands for quick charge. Herein, a novel and facile synthesis of layer‐by‐layer NVP@reduced graphene oxide (rGO) nanocomposite is presented through modifying the surface charge of NVP gel precursor. The well‐designed layered NVP@rGO with confined NVP nanocrystal in between rGO layers offers high electronic and ionic conductivity as well as stable structure. The NVP@rGO nanocomposite with merely ≈3.0 wt% rGO and 0.5 wt% amorphous carbon, yet exhibits extraordinary electrochemical performance: a high capacity (118 mA h g?1 at 0.5 C attaining the theoretical value), a superior rate capability (73 mA h g?1 at 100 C and even up to 41 mA h g?1 at 200 C), ultralong cyclability (70.0% capacity retention after 15 000 cycles at 50 C), and stable cycling performance and excellent rate capability at both low and high operating temperatures. The proposed method and designed layer‐by‐layer active nanocrystal@rGO strategy provide a new avenue to create nanostructures for advanced energy storage applications.  相似文献

Carbon sheets with 3D architectures, large graphitic interlayer spacing, and high electrical conductivity are highly expected to be an ideal anode material for sodium‐ion hybrid capacitors (SIHCs). Pursuing a simple synthesis methodology and advancing it from the laboratory to industry is of great importance. In this study, a new approach is presented to prepare 3D framework carbon (3DFC) with the above integrated advantages by a direct calcination of sodium citrate without aid of any additional carbon source, template, or catalyst. The first‐principle calculations verify that the large interlayer spacing and the curvature structure of 3DFC facilitate the sodium ion insertion/extraction. As a consequence, the optimal 3DFC sample exhibits high reversible capacity as well as excellent rate and cycling performance. On this basis, a dual‐carbon SIHC is fabricated by employing 3DFC as battery‐type anode and 3DFC‐derived nanoporous carbon as capacitor‐type cathode. It is able to deliver high energy‐ and power‐density feature as well as outstanding long‐term cycling stability in the potential range of 0–4.0 V. This study may open an avenue for developing high‐performance carbon electrode materials and pushes the practical applications of SIHCs a decisive step forward.  相似文献

Redox flow batteries have considerable advantages of system scalability and operation flexibility over other battery technologies, which makes them promising for large‐scale energy storage application. However, they suffer from low energy density and consequently relatively high cost for a nominal energy output. Redox targeting–based flow batteries are employed by incorporating solid energy storage materials in the tank and present energy density far beyond the solubility limit of the electrolytes. The success of this concept relies on paring suitable redox mediators with solid materials for facilitated reaction kinetics and lean electrolyte composition. Here, a redox targeting‐based flow battery system using the NASICON‐type Na3V2(PO4)3 as a capacity booster for both the catholyte and anolyte is reported. With 10‐methylphenothiazine as the cathodic redox mediator and 9‐fluorenone as anodic redox mediator, an all‐organic single molecule redox targeting–based flow battery is developed. The anodic and cathodic capacity are 3 and 17 times higher than the solubility limit of respective electrolyte, with which a full cell can achieve an energy density up to 88 Wh L?1. The reaction mechanism is scrutinized by operando and in‐situ X‐ray and UV–vis absorption spectroscopy. The reaction kinetics are analysed in terms of Butler–Volmer formalism.  相似文献

All solid‐state sodium batteries (ASSBs) have attracted considerable attention due to their enhanced safety, long lifespan, and high energy density. However, several challenges have plagued the development of ASSBs, especially the relatively low ionic conductivity of solid‐state electrolytes (SSEs), large interfacial resistance, and low stability/compatibility between SSEs and electrodes. Here, a high‐performance all solid‐state sodium battery (NVP@C|PEGDMA‐NaFSI‐SPE|Na) is designed by employing carbon coated Na3V2(PO4)3 composite nanosheets (NVP@C) as the cathode, solvent‐free solid polymer electrolyte (PEGDMA‐NaFSI‐SPE) as the electrolyte and metallic sodium as the anode. The integrated electrolyte and cathode system prepared by the in situ polymerization process exhibits high ionic conductivity (≈10?4 S cm?1 at room temperature) and an outstanding electrolyte/electrode interface. Benefiting from these merits, the soft‐pack ASSB (NVP@C|PEGDMA‐NaFSI‐SPE|Na) delivers excellent cycling life over 740 cycles (capacity decay of only 0.007% per cycle) and maintains 95% of the initial reversible capacity with almost no self‐discharge even after resting for 3 months. Moreover, the bendable ASSB exhibits a high capacity of 106 mAh g?1 (corresponds to energy density of ≈355 Wh kg?1) at 0.5 C despite undergoing repeated bending for 535 cycles. This work offers a new strategy to fabricate high‐performance flexible ASSBs with a long lifespan and excellent flexibility.  相似文献

Na3V2(PO4)3 (denoted as NVP) has been considered as a promising cathode material for room temperature sodium ion batteries. Nevertheless, NVP suffers from poor rate capability resulting from the low electronic conductivity. Here, the feasibility to approach high rate capability by designing carbon‐coated NVP nanoparticles confined into highly ordered mesoporous carbon CMK‐3 matrix (NVP@C@CMK‐3) is reported. The NVP@C@CMK‐3 is prepared by a simple nanocasting technique. The electrode exhibits superior rate capability and ultralong cyclability (78 mA h g?1 at 5 C after 2000 cycles) compared to carbon‐coated NVP and pure NVP cathode. The improved electrochemical performance is attributed to double carbon coating design that combines a variety of advantages: very short diffusion length of Na+/e? in NVP, easy access of electrolyte, and short transport path of Na+ through carbon toward the NVP nanoparticle, high conductivity transport of electrons through the 3D interconnected channels of carbon host. The optimum design of the core–shell nanostructures with double carbon coating permits fast kinetics for both transported Na+ ions and electrons, enabling high‐power performance.  相似文献

A novel sodium hybrid capacitor (NHC) is constructed with an intercalation‐type sodium material [carbon coated‐Na3V2(PO4)3, C‐NVP] and high surface area‐activated carbon derived from an eco‐friendly resource cinnamon sticks (CDCs) in an organic electrolyte. This novel NHC possesses a combination of high energy and high power density, along with remarkable electrochemical stability. In addition, the C‐NVP/CDC system outperforms present, well‐established lithium hybrid capacitor systems in all areas, and can thus be added to the list of candidates for future electric vehicles. A careful optimization of mass balance between electrode materials enables the C‐NVP/CDC cell to exhibit extraordinary capacitance performance. This novel NHC produces an energy density of 118 Wh kg?1 at a specific power of 95 W kg?1 and retains an energy density of 60 Wh kg?1 with high specific power of 850 W kg?1. Furthermore, a discharge capacitance of 53 F g?1 is obtained from the C‐NVP/CDC cell at a 1 mA cm?2 current density, along with 95% capacitance retention, even after 10 000 cycles. The sluggish kinetics of the Na ion battery system is successfully overcome by developing a stable, high‐performing NHC system.  相似文献

Sodium‐ion battery has captured much attention due to the abundant sodium resources and potentially low cost. However, it suffers from poor cycling stability and low diffusion coefficient, which seriously limit its widespread application. Here, K3V2(PO4)3/C bundled nanowires are fabricated usinga facile organic acid‐assisted method. With a highly stable framework, nanoporous structure, and conductive carbon coating, the K3V2(PO4)3/C bundled nanowires manifest excellent electrochemical performances in sodium‐ion battery. A stable capacity of 119 mAh g?1 can be achieved at 100 mA g?1. Even at a high current density of 2000 mA g?1, 96.0% of the capacity can be retained after 2000 charge–discharge cycles. Comparing with K3V2(PO4)3/C blocks, the K3V2(PO4)3/C bundled nanowires show significantly improved cycling stability. This work provides a facile and effective approach to enhance the electrochemical performance of sodium‐ion batteries.  相似文献

Presently, commercialization of sodium‐ion batteries (SIBs) is still hindered by the relatively poor energy‐storage performance. In addition, low‐temperature (low‐T) Na storage is another principal concern for the wide application of SIBs. Unfortunately, the Na‐transfer kinetics is extremely sluggish at low‐T, as a result, there are few reports on low‐T SIBs. Here, an advanced low‐T sodium‐ion full battery (SIFB) assembled by an anode of 3D Se/graphene composite and a high‐voltage cathode (Na3V2(PO4)2O2F) is developed, exhibiting ultralong lifespan (over even 15 000 cycles, the capacity retention is still up to 86.3% at 1 A g?1), outstanding low‐T energy storage performance (e.g., all values of capacity retention are >75% after 1000 cycles at temperatures from 25 to ?25 °C at 0.4 A g?1), and high‐energy/power properties. Such ultralong lifespan signifies that the developed sodium‐ion full battery can be used for longer than 60 years, if batteries charge/discharge once a day and 80% capacity retention is the standard of battery life. As a result, the present study not only promotes the practicability and commercialization of SIBs but also points out the new developing directions of next‐generation energy storage for wider range applications.  相似文献

To accommodate the decreasing lithium resource and ensure continuous development of energy storage industry, sodium‐based batteries are widely studied to inherit the next generation of energy storage devices. In this work, a novel Na super ionic conductor type KTi2(PO4)3/carbon nanocomposite is designed and fabricated as sodium storage electrode materials, which exhibits considerable reversible capacity (104 mAh g?1 under the rate of 1 C with flat voltage plateaus at ≈2.1 V), high‐rate cycling stability (74.2% capacity retention after 5000 cycles at 20 C), and ultrahigh rate capability (76 mAh g?1 at 100 C) in sodium ion batteries. Besides, the maximum ability for sodium storage is deeply excavated by further investigations about different voltage windows in half and full sodium ion cells. Meanwhile, as cathode material in sodium‐magnesium hybrid batteries, the KTi2(PO4)3/carbon nanocomposite also displays good electrochemical performances (63 mAh g?1 at the 230th cycle under the voltage window of 1.0–1.9 V). The results demonstrate that the KTi2(PO4)3/carbon nanocomposite is a promising electrode material for sodium ion storage, and lay theoretical foundations for the development of new type of batteries.  相似文献
