With the aim of determining the connection between the indicators of body posture and latent structure of morphological variables in children aged 7 and 8 years, first and second grade of primary school, a set of 17 morphological measures and 12 body posture indicators were longitudinally applied to a sample of 110 boys and 114 girls. The latent structure of morphological variables in both sexes was defined by three factors but at a different order of significance: in boys, the order was longitudinal dimensionality, voluminosity, mass and subcutaneous fat tissue and transverse dimensionality, whereas in girls the order was voluminosity, mass and subcutaneous fat tissue, longitudinal dimensionality and transverse dimensionality. The latent structure of torax body posture indicator was defined by two factors, the status of body posture of the rear part of the thorax, and status of the body posture of the front part of the thorax. The results obtained by canonical correlation analysis between predictive variables, morphological latent structure and criterion variables, latent structure of thorax body posture indicators with two posture indicators of the chest and one of the foot status, showed two important pairs of canonical roots on each measurement, suggesting a significant association between these two sets of parameters.  相似文献

The aim of this research was to examine the influences of specially programmed physical education lessons on biomotor development in boys, as well as the influence of those changes on relations between the set of morphological and motor variables and athletic variables for the assessment of sprint and throw abilities. For this purpose, an overall sample of 325 primary school first grade pupils from the city of Split area, aged 6-8 years, was divided into control group of subjects (N=140) attending regular physical education lessons and experimental group attending specially programmed lessons based on athletics, sports gymnastics and games elements as well as on general preparatory exercises. The relations between the predictor set of variables composed of 4 morphological measurements and 6 motor tests with the criteria of sprint and ball throwing were established by the regression correlation analysis at the beginning and at the end of the academic year Both groups of subjects achieved positive quantitative resultant shift between the two points of measurements, whereas this shift was more significant in the experimental group in relation to the control group, especially in motor abilities coordination of flexibility, movement frequency and of explosive, repetitive and static strength. The number of significant predictors for criteria variables of sprint and ball throwing increased in the final measurement in relation to the first one in both groups of subjects. While in the control group the best results predictor in sprint were the motor abilities of explosive strength and trunk strength, the best results predictor in sprint in the experimental group were coordination, trunk strength, flexibility and explosive strength. As far as the morphological characteristics are concerned muscle mass has a positive and body mass a negative effect on the sprint result. The best results predictor in ball throwing are explosive strength and trunk strength which, in the experimental group of pupils are additionally followed by coordination development as well as the overall body mass development. By comparison of these and the earlier obtained results, a new work model for the disciplines of sprint and throws within the athletic sport school, has been proposed.  相似文献

The aim of the present research was to study the variations of somatotype, calculated by the Heath-Carter anthropometric technique, during growth in a sample of children (416 males and 402 females), aged 6 and 10 years, attending primary and secondary schools of L'Aquila and its province (Abruzzo, Italy). The sample was subdivided into “urban” and “non-urban” groups, on the basis of the residence of the children, to examine possible differences in growth related to the different environments. This study give an account of the somatotype components between urban and non urban childreen between the age 6 and 10 years. A tendency toward an increase of endomorphy (adipose component) with age was noticed in both sexes. In females, ectomorphy (component of physical linearity) tended to increase and mesomorphy (muscular-skeletal component) showed a slight decrease during growth, while males exhibited a discontinuous trend. The differences between urban and non-urban children were not significant, although generally higher values of endomorphy and mesomorphy were found in males and females of the urban sample. The differences between the sexes consisted of higher values of endomorphy and lower values of mesomorphy in females. Ectomorphy was similar in the two sexes.  相似文献

The relationships between bone width and mineral content and age, sex, height and weight were studied in 420 children aged 4–10 years living in Cambridge using single photon absorptiometry. The relationship of bone width with bone mineral content was significantly different between the sexes after adjusting for differences in body size. In addition, bone width in boys was found to be greater for a given height and weight; changes in weight had a greater effect on bone width in boys than in girls. Prediction equations for bone width and mineral content based on height and weight are given, which should enhance the application of single photon absorptiometry in clinical practice.  相似文献

目的观察大连地区5家医院(大连医科大学附属一院、大连医科大学附属二院、大连儿童医院、大连市第六人民医院、大连开发区医院)2012年7岁以下儿童感染病原菌分布及其耐药情况。方法临床分离菌株,采用细菌分离鉴定方法(API、VITEK、Microsean系统)进行目标细菌的鉴定,药物敏感性试验用K—B纸片扩散法测定药物的敏感性。结果共收集细菌1235株,其中革兰阴性菌725株占58.7%,革兰阳性菌510株占41.3%;分离细菌前5位依次为大肠埃希菌占14.9%、凝固酶阴性葡萄球菌占13.6%、金黄色葡萄球菌占11.7%、肺炎克雷伯菌占10.8%、铜绿假单胞菌占7.4%。结论7岁以下儿童感染致病菌对抗生素均存在不同程度耐药情况,期望在临床治疗感染时有所帮助。  相似文献

A retrospective study of 731 autopsies of children aged 0 to 14 years, performed in the Pathological Anatomy Service of the University Hospital of Porto Alegre from 1977 to 1982, was carried out to determine the frequency, type, and seriousness of congenital malformations. The subjects were divided into five age ranges: stillborn (6), 0 to 24 hours (42), 1 to 30 days (50), 1 to 12 months (24), and 1 to 14 years (9). The malformations were classified as single or multiple (presence of two or more independent defects), and their contribution to death was evaluated. Congenital malformations were detected in 131 autopsies (18%). In most cases the defects were single (91), and the most common ones involved the cardiovascular system (37) and the genitourinary system (21). In the patients with multiple malformations (40), the cardiovascular system (24) and the genitourinary system (19) were also most frequently involved. Defects of the osteoarticular system were also frequently encountered in patients with multiple defects (25), although most of them were deformations caused by mechanical factors. Proportionally, congenital malformations were most frequently detected in the 0 to 24 hours range, which also included the highest proportion of multiple defects in relation to single ones (1:1). Congenital malformations were considered responsible for death in 76% of the 131 cases (87% of the multiple defects patients and 60% of the single defect patients). We believe that the data collected in the present study may contribute to a better understanding of the role played by congenital malformations in child mortality.  相似文献

Several studies suggest that season of birth differentially affects the physiological characteristics of humans. Those living at relatively high latitude, such as Canada, Spain, and Italy (44°N-45°N), and born in the fall tended to be "morning-type" persons in comparison to those born in other seasons. There are relatively little data on the affect of season of birth on people residing at low latitude. Here the authors show that at low latitude, Kochi, Japan (33°N), the effect of season of birth on the morningness chronotype is confined to young children aged 1-12 yrs, disappearing in elderly persons. Only female participants aged 2-12 yrs born in the fall, especially in November, were significantly morning-typed (p < .001) in comparison to those born in the other seasons, whereas there were no such significant season-of-birth differences in morningness-eveningness preference among male participants. Moreover, both female and male participants aged 13-25 yrs showed no significant seasonal differences in morningness-eveningness preference. The small effects detected in this study might be due to smaller seasonal change in day length at the relatively lower latitude of Kochi.  相似文献

Totally 510 measures of blood pressure were performed with sphygmo-oscillographic, ultrasound, and auscultation techniques. Sphygmo-oscillography was used for all measurements whereas ultrasound failed in 2.9% and auscultation in 48.2% of cases. Arterial hypertension was diagnosed in 24 children, i.e 11%.  相似文献

The present study reports 5,029 length and weight measurements as well as percentile distributions for a mixed longitudinal series of 1,119 rural Guatemalan Ladino children. The study sample, birth through seven years, is representative of children in clinically good health, but of suboptimal nutrition. Boys are longer and heavier than girls over the age range. Guatemalan children of both sexes are smaller than American white children from Denver. Differences are least at birth, and increase through two years of age. Between two and five years, differences between the rural Guatemalan Ladino and Denver samples are rather stable, but then increase through seven years. Despite these differences there is a linear weight for length relationship which is the same across all preschool ages, both sexes, and for both the Guatemalan and Denver populations. This implies that age, sex, ethnic differences between the two groups compared, and mild-to-moderate protein-calorie malnutrition do not affect the relationship between weight and length in preschool children.  相似文献

BACKGROUND: 13C-urea breath test (13C-UBT) is an accurate noninvasive tool for diagnosis of Helicobacter pylori infection. It is considered the best method for epidemiological studies, but there are few studies to evaluate the 13C-UBT in infants and toddlers. AIM: To evaluate the 13C-UBT performed with infrared spectroscopy in children aged up to 6 years. PATIENTS: Sixty-eight patients (6 months. to 5 years 11 months.) were evaluated prospectively and consecutively. METHODS: Helicobacter pylori infection was detected by positive culture, or rapid urease test and histological examination, both positive. 13C-UBT was performed with 50 mg of 13C-urea diluted in 100 ml of commercial orange juice. Two expired air samples were collected: before and 30 minutes after tracer ingestion. Cutoff of delta over baseline (DOB) was 4.0 per thousand and urea hydrolysis rate 10 microg/minute. RESULTS: Fifteen of 68 (22.1%) patients were H. pylori infected. Sensitivity was 93.3% (95% CI; 86.8%-99.7%) and specificity was 96.2% (95% CI; 93.6%-98.8%), and these values were equal for DOB and urea hydrolysis rate. Negative DOB values in noninfected patients ranged from -1.5 per thousand to 2.6 per thousand and positive DOB values ranged from 10.8 per thousand to 105.5 per thousand. There was no relationship between DOB values and age. Conclusion. 13C-UBT performed with infrared spectroscopy proved to be a reliable and accurate noninvasive diagnostic tool for H. pylori infection detection in children aged up to 6 years. Results far from cutoff value can clearly distinguish positive from negative 13C-UBT results in children up to 6 years old.  相似文献

Research was spent according to principles of biomedical ethics. Healthy children of 6 years have taken part in him (n = 120). In the course of research the psychophysiological factors defining readiness of children of 6 years to education at school are identified: "selectivity of voluntary attention" (the factor I); "the general working capacity" (the factor II); "a physiological maturity" (the factor III); "sensorimotor coordination of voluntary movement" (the factor IV). Factors I, II, IV correspond with activity of three blocks of the brain allocated with A.R. Lurija within the limits of structurally functional model of work of a brain as a substratum of mental activity. The carried out research has revealed interrelation of some indicators of readiness for education at school with parametres of physical working capacity.  相似文献

The purpose of this study was to detect the presence of Capnocytophaga sputigena, C. ochracea, and C. gingivalis in plaque samples from the toothbrushes of 122 children, using a polymerase chain reaction (PCR) method. The subjects were 25, 85, and 12 children with healthy gingiva, gingivitis, and periodontitis, respectively, ranging in age from 2-12 years old. Plaque samples were collected from all erupted tooth sites using a sterile toothbrush. The mean amount of DNA recovered from the samples was approximately 19.3 microg, which was deemed sufficient for performing a PCR-based survey. C. sputigena prevalence in healthy, gingivitis, and periodontitis subjects was 48.0%, 36.5% and 25.0%, respectively, that for C. ochracea was 100%, 89.4%, and 50.0%, respectively, and that for C. gingivalis was 96.0%, 84.7%, and 75.0%, respectively. The lowest age of positive subjects was approximately 2 years. Our results showed that C. sputigena was moderately prevalent, whereas C. ochracea and C. gingivalis were commonly detected in the oral cavities of the tested children, suggesting that all of these species become established in the early years.  相似文献

The aim of this paper was to obtain information relevant for efficient selection in karate, based on comparison of biomotor status of male/female 7th and 8th grade students in primary school "Bija?i" from Kastel Novi and karate practitioners and non-practitioners (cadets) in Croatia. For this purpose, a sample was drawn of 352 primary school students (150 males and 152 females) and 50 karate practitioners (25 males and 25 females), all aged 13 to 15 years, and 2 morphological measures (body height and body mass) and a battery of 6 motor tests was used. A biomotor system which determines the situation efficacy in male and female karate practitioners was defined based on the comparison of test results of students from Kastela, Croatian karateka and Croatian standards, factor analysis of applied variables and discriminant analysis of those variables between karate athletes and students from Kastela. In male karate athletes, general motor efficacy in karate is based on explosive strength of jumping type, repetitive strength of the trunk and coordination, followed by flexibility, static strength of the arms, and movement frequency speed. In female karate athletes, integration of force, coordination, muscle tone regulation and speed is dominant for achieving success in karate. Female karate athletes use speed and fine muscle tone regulation in motor functioning more than male karate athletes, who use basic strength more.  相似文献
