Two pseudopolymorphs, solvates, of [Cu(2)(II)(niflumate)(4)(H(2)O)(2)] of unknown structure were obtained following solution of [Cu(2)(II)(niflumate)(4)(H(2)O)(2)] in N,N-dimethylacetamide (DMA) or N,N-dimethylformamide (DMF). Low-temperature crystal structures obtained for these solvates revealed that they were ternary aqua DMA and DMF solvates: [Cu(2)(II)(niflumate)(4)(H(2)O)(2)].4DMA and [Cu(2)(II)(niflumate)(4)(H(2)O)(2)].4DMF. Intermolecular hydrogen bonding interactions account for the formation of these stable DMA and DMF solvates. These pseudopolymorphs contain a centrosymmetric binuclear center with Cu-Cu bond distances ranging from 2.6439(7) to 2.6452(9) A; the coordination sphere of Cu(II) is characterized by one long Cu-O (water) bond length of 2.128(3)-2.135(3) A and four short Cu-O (carboxylate) bonds of 1.949(3)-1.977(3) A. Crystal parameters for the DMA pseudopolymorph: a=10.372(1), b=19.625(2), c=17.967(2) A, beta=97.40(1) degrees , V=3626.8(6) A(3); monoclinic system; space group: P2(1)/a and for the DMF pseudopolymorph: a=10.125(2), b=18.647(3), c=19.616(4) A, alpha=74.38(2)(o), beta=88.18(2)(o), gamma=79.28(2)(o), V=3504(1) A(3); triclinic system; space group: P1. EPR spectra of these solids are identical and show strong antiferromagnetic coupling between the copper atoms, similar to the spectrum obtained for [Cu(2)(II)(niflumate)(4)(DMSO)(2)]. The [Cu(2)(II)(niflumate)(4)(H(2)O)(2)], [Cu(2)(II)(niflumate)(4)(H(2)O)(2)].4DMA, [Cu(2)(II)(niflumate)(4)(H(2)O)(2)].4DMF, [Cu(2)(II)(niflumate)(4)(DMF)(2)], and[Cu(2)(II)(niflumate)(4)(DMSO)(2)] evidenced protection against maximal electroshock-induced seizures and Psychomotor seizures at various times after treatment, consistent with the well known antiinflammatory activities of Cu chelates, but failed to protect against Metrazol-induced seizures while evidencing some Rotorod Toxicity consistent with a mechanism of action involving sedative activity.  相似文献

The collagen triple helix is one of the most abundant protein motifs in animals. The structural motif of collagen is the triple helix formed by the repeated sequence of -Gly-Xaa-Yaa-. Previous reports showed that H-(Pro-4(R)Hyp-Gly)(10)-OH (where '4(R)Hyp' is (2S,4R)-4-hydroxyproline) forms a trimeric structure, whereas H-(4(R)Hyp-Pro-Gly)(10)-OH does not form a triple helix. Compared with H-(Pro-Pro-Gly)(10)-OH, the melting temperature of H-(Pro-4(R)Hyp-Gly)(10)-OH is higher, suggesting that 4(R)Hyp in the Yaa position has a stabilizing effect. The inability of triple helix formation of H-(4(R)Hyp-Pro-Gly)(10)-OH has been explained by a stereoelectronic effect, but the details are unknown. In this study, we synthesized a peptide that contains 4(R)Hyp in both the Xaa and the Yaa positions, that is, Ac-(Gly-4(R)Hyp-4(R)Hyp)(10)-NH(2) and compared it to Ac-(Gly-Pro-4(R)Hyp)(10)-NH(2), and Ac-(Gly-4(R)Hyp-Pro)(10)-NH(2). Ac-(Gly-4(R)Hyp-4(R)Hyp)(10)-NH(2) showed a polyproline II-like circular dichroic spectrum in water. The thermal transition temperatures measured by circular dichroism and differential scanning calorimetry were slightly higher than the values measured for Ac-(Gly-Pro-4(R)Hyp)(10)-NH(2) under the same conditions. For Ac-(Gly-4(R)Hyp-4(R)Hyp)(10)-NH(2), the calorimetric and the van't Hoff transition enthalpy DeltaH were significantly smaller than that of Ac-(Gly-Pro-4(R)Hyp)(10)-NH(2). We postulate that the denatured states of the two peptides are significantly different, with Ac-(Gly-4(R)Hyp-4(R)Hyp)(10)-NH(2) forming a more polyproline II-like structure instead of a random coil. Two-dimensional nuclear Overhauser effect spectroscopy suggests that the triple helical structure of Ac-(Gly-4(R)Hyp-4(R)Hyp)(10)-NH(2) is more flexible than that of Ac-(Gly-Pro-4(R)Hyp)(10)-NH(2). This is confirmed by the kinetics of amide (1)H exchange with solvent deuterium of Ac-(Gly-4(R)Hyp-4(R)Hyp)(10)-NH(2), which is faster than that of Ac-(Gly-Pro-4(R)Hyp)(10)-NH(2). The higher transition temperature of Ac-(Gly-4(R)Hyp-4(R)Hyp)(10)-NH(2), can be explained by the higher trans/cis ratio of the Gly-4(R)Hyp peptide bonds than that of the Gly-Pro bonds, and this ratio compensates for the weaker interchain hydrogen bonds.  相似文献

Four imidazolate-bridged binuclear copper(II)-copper(II) and copper(II)-zinc(II) complexes viz., [(Bipy)(2)Cu-Im-Cu(Bipy)(2)](ClO(4))(3).CH(3)OH, [(Phen)(2)Cu-Im-Cu(Phen)(2)](BF(4))(3).2CH(3)OH, [(Bipy)(2)Cu-Im-Zn(Bipy)(2)](BF(4))(3), and [(Phen)(2)Cu-Im-Zn(Phen)(2)](BF(4))(3), (Bipy=2,2'-Bipyridyl, Phen=1-10-Phenanthroline and Im=imidazolate ion) were synthesized as a possible models for superoxide dismutase (SOD). Complex [(Bipy)(2)Cu-Im-Cu(Bipy)(2)](ClO(4))(3).CH(3)OH has been structurally characterized. This complex crystallizes in the triclinic space group P1, with the unit parameters a=8.88(5) A, b=13.79(17) A, c=20.18(18) A, alpha=76.424(8)(o), beta=85.888(6)(o), gamma=82.213(7). The metal-nitrogen bond length from 1.972-2.273 A and the distance Cu-Cu is 5.92 A. The five-coordinate geometry about the copper(II) ion is square pyramidal. Magnetic moment and electron paramagnetic resonance (e.p.r.) spectral measurements of the homobinuclear complexes have shown an antiferromagnetic exchange interaction. From the e.p.r. and UV-Vis spectral measurement studies, these complexes have been found to be stable (pH 8.5-10.5 for 1, 10.5 for 2,3 and 8.5 for 4). These complexes catalyse the dismutation of superoxide radical (O(2)(-)) at biological pH. All the observations indicate that these complexes act as good possible models for superoxide dismutase.  相似文献

The purpose of this research was to characterize by X-ray crystallography the ternary dimethylformamide (DMF) Cu(II) complex of acetylsalicylic acid (aspirin), in an effort to compare the structure-activity relationships for the anticonvulsant activity of this and other Cu(II)aspirinate chelates. The ternary DMF Cu(II) complex of aspirin was synthesized and crystals grown from a DMF solution were characterized by single crystal X-ray diffraction. This crystalline material was analyzed for anticonvulsant activity in the Maximal Electroshock (MES) Grand Mal and subcutaneous Metrazol (scMET) Petit Mal models of seizure used to detect anticonvulsant activity. The ternary DMF complex was found to be a monomolecular binuclear complex, tetrakis-mu-(acetylsalicylato)bis(dimethylformamido)dicopper(II) [Cu(II)(2)(aspirinate)(4)(DMF)(2)] with the following parameters: monoclinic, space group P2(1)/n, a=12.259 (1), b=10.228 (1), c=16.987 (1) A, beta=92.07 (1) degrees; V=2128.5 (3) A(3); Z=2. The structure was determined at 180 K from 2903 unique reflections (I>1sigma(I)) to the final values of R=0.030 and wR=0.033 using F. This binuclear complex contains four acetylsalicylate bridging ligands which are related to each other in a two by two symmetry center. The four nearest O atoms around each Cu atom form a closely square planar arrangement with the square pyramidal coordination completed by the dimethylformamide oxygen atom occupying an apical position at a distance of 2.154 (1) A. Each Cu atom is displaced towards the DMF ligand by 0.187 A from the plane of the four O atoms. Electron paramagnetic resonance (EPR) spectra of [Cu(II)(2)(aspirinate)(4)(DMF)(2)] crystals show a strong antiferromagnetic coupling of the copper atoms, similar to that observed with other binuclear copper(II)salicylate compounds. Studies used to detect anticonvulsant activity revealed that [Cu(II)(2)(aspirinate)(4)(DMF)(2)] was an effective anticonvulsant in the MES model of seizure but ineffective against scMET-induced seizures. The monomolecular ternary binuclear [Cu(II)(2)(aspirinate)(4)(DMF)(2)] complex is more effective in inhibiting MES-induced seizures than other binuclear or mononuclear Cu(II) chelates of aspirin including: binuclear polymeric [Cu(II)(2)(aspirinate)(4)], [Cu(II)(2)(aspirinate)(4)(H(2)O)], which is anticipated to be less polymeric, and monomolecular ternary [Cu(II)(2)(aspirinate)(4)(DMSO)(2)] and [Cu(II)(aspirinate)(2)(Pyr)(2)]. These and other chelates appear to be more effective in the scMET model of seizure than [Cu(II)(2)(aspirinate)(4)(DMF)(2)]. These structure-activity relationships support the potential efficacy of Cu chelates of aspirin in treating epilepsies.  相似文献

The dimanganese(III,III) complexes [Mn(2)(III)(5-NO(2)-salpentO)(mu-AcO)(mu-MeO)(methanol)(2)]Y (1: Y=Br, 2a: Y=I, 2b: Y=I(3)), [Mn(2)(III)(5-NO(2)-salpentO)(mu-AcO)(mu-MeO)(methanol)(ClO(4))] (3) and [Mn(2)(III)(5-Cl-salpentO)(mu-AcO)(mu-MeO)(methanol)(2)]Br (4), where salpentOH is the symmetrical Schiff base ligand 1,5-bis(salicylidenamino)pentan-3-ol, were synthesised and structurally characterized. Complex 2b crystallises in the monoclinic system, space group P2(1)/c, and exhibits Mn. . .Mn separation of 2.911 A. This Mn. . .Mn separation is very close to the other characterized (mu-alkoxo)(2)(mu-acetato)Mn(2)(III) complexes of X-salpentOH (X=MeO, Br and H) and reveals that the aromatic substituent has little influence on the geometric parameters of the bimetallic core. A correlation between the electronic character of the different ring substituents, the redox potentials of the dinuclear complexes and their catalase activity was evidenced. Complexes 1-4 show saturation kinetics with [H(2)O(2)] and the H(2)O(2) disproportionation involves redox cycling between the Mn(2)(III)/Mn(2)(IV) levels. The catalytic activity studies show that bound acetate is required for catalase activity and that the acetato and alkoxo bridges serve as internal bases facilitating the proton transfer coupled to oxidation of the metal centre.  相似文献

The sulfur K-edge extended X-ray absorption fine structure (EXAFS) spectroscopy is applied to homoleptic thiolato complexes with Zn(II) and Cd(II), (Et(4)N)[Zn(SAd)(3)] (1), (Et(4)N)(2)[{Zn(ScHex)(2)}(2)(mu-ScHex)(2)] (2), (Et(4)N)(2)[{Cd(ScHex)(2)}(2)(mu-ScHex)(2)] (3), (Et(4)N)(2)[{Cd(ScHex)}(4)(mu-ScHex)(6)] (4), [Zn(mu-SAd)(2)](n) (5), and [Cd(mu-SAd)(2)](n) (6) (HSAd=1-adamantanethiol, HScHex=cyclohexanethiol). The EXAFS results are consistent with the X-ray crystal data of 1-4. The structures of 5 and 6, which have not been determined by X-ray crystallography, are proposed to be polynuclear structures on the basis of the sulfur K-edge EXAFS, far-IR spectra, and elemental analysis. Clear evidences of the S...S interactions (between bridging atoms or neighboring sulfur atoms) and the S...C(far) interactions (in which C(far) atom is next to carbon atom directly bonded to sulfur atom) were observed in the EXAFS data for all complexes and thus lead to the reliable determination of the structures of 5 and 6 in combination with conventional zinc K-edge EXAFS analysis for 5. This new methodology, sulfur K-edge EXAFS, could be applied for the structural determination of in vivo metalloproteins as well as inorganic compounds.  相似文献

Two novel coumarin-based ligands, coumarin-6,7-dioxyacetic acid (1) (cdoaH(2)) and 4-methylcoumarin-6,7-dioxyacetic acid (2) (4-MecdoaH(2)), were reacted with copper(II) and manganese(II) salts to give [Cu(cdoa)(H(2)O)(2)].1.5H(2)O (3), [Cu(4-Mecdoa)(H(2)O)(2)] (4), [Mn(cdoa)(H(2)O)(2)] (5) and [Mn(4-Mecdoa)(H(2)O)(2)].0.5H(2)O (6). The metal complexes, 3-6, were characterised by elemental analysis, IR and UV-Vis spectroscopy, and magnetic susceptibility measurements and were assigned a polymeric structure. 1 and 2 react with Cu(II) in the presence of excess 1,10-phenanthroline (phen) giving [Cu(cdoa)(phen)(2)].8.8H(2)O (7) and [Cu(4-Mecdoa)(phen)(2)].13H(2)O (8), respectively. The X-ray crystal structures of 7 and 8 confirmed trigonal bipyramidal geometries, with the metals bonded to the four nitrogen atoms of the two chelating phen molecules and to a single carboxylate oxygen of the dicarboxylate ligand. The complexes were screened for their antimicrobial activity against a number of microbial species, including methicillin-resistant Staphylococcus aureus (MRSA), Escherichia coli and Candida albicans. The metal-free ligands 1 and 2 were active against all of the microbes. Complexes 3-6 demonstrated no significant activity whilst the phen adducts 7 and 8 were active against MRSA (MIC(80)=12.1microM), E. coli (MIC(80)=14.9microM) and Patonea agglumerans (MIC(80)=12.6microM). Complex 7 also demonstrated anti-Candida activity (MIC(80)=22microM) comparable to that of the commercially available antifungal agent ketoconazole (MIC(80)=25microM).  相似文献

The reaction of [ReOCl(3)(PPh(3))(2)] with N-(2-hydroxybenzyl)-2-mercaptoaniline (H(3)hbma) (2) and 2-mercaptopyridine in hot CHCl yields [ReO(η(2)-HOC(6)H(4)-2-CH(2)NC(6)H(4)S)(η(2)-SC(5)H(4)N)(PPh(3))] (3). The structure of 3 consists of distorted octahedral Re(V) monomers. The coordination geometry at the rhenium is defined by a terminal oxo-group, the nitrogen and sulfur donors of the chelating mercaptopyridine, the nitrogen and sulfur donors of a bidentate (Hhbma)(2-) ligand, and the phosphorus of the PPh(3) group. The -C(6)H(4)OH arm of (Hhbma)(2-) is pendant, and the coordinated nitrogen of this ligand is present as a deprotonated amido nitrogen.  相似文献

Biomimetic pathways for the oxidation of [Au(CN)(2)](-), a gold metabolite, and further cyanation of the gold(III) products to form Au(CN)(4)(-) were investigated using 13C NMR and UV-Visible spectroscopic methods. Hypochlorite ion, an oxidant released during the oxidative burst of immune cells, was employed. The reaction generates mixed dicyanoaurate(III) complexes, trans-[Au(CN)(2)X(2)](-), where X(-) represents equilibrating hydroxide and chloride ligands, and establishes the chemical feasibility of dicyanoaurate oxidation by OCl(-) to gold(III) species. This oxidation reaction suggests a new procedure for synthesis of H[Au(CN)(2)Cl(2)]. Reaction of trans-[Au(CN)(2)X(2)](-) (X(-)=Cl(-) and Br(-)) or [AuCl(4)](-) with HCN in aqueous solution at pH 7.4 leads directly to [Au(CN)(4)](-) without detection of the anticipated [Au(CN)(x)X(4-x)](-)intermediates, which is attributed to the cis- and trans-accelerating effects of the cyanides. The reduction of [Au(CN)(4)](-) by glutathione and other thiols is a complex, pH-dependent process that proceeds through two intermediates and ultimately generates [Au(CN)(2)](-). These studies provide further insight into the possible mechanisms of an immunogenically generated gold(I)/gold(III) redox cycle in vivo.  相似文献

Cu(BZA)(2)(EtOH)(0.5) (1) was generated by the reaction of copper(II) hydroxide with benzoic acid (BZAH). [Cu(TBZH)(2)(BZA)](BZA).0.5TBZH.H(2)O (2) and [Cu(2-PyBZIMH)(2-PyBZIM)(BZA)].1.66EtOH (3) were obtained when 1 reacted with Thiabendazole (TBZH) and 2-(2-pyridyl)benzimidazole (2-PyBZIMH), respectively. [Cu(BZA)(2)(phen)(H(2)O)] (4) was isolated from the reaction of benzoic acid and 1,10-phenanthroline (phen) with copper(II)acetate dihydrate. Molecular structures of 2, 3 and 4 were determined crystallographically. 2 and 3 are hydrogen bonded dimers and trimers, respectively. The copper centres in complexes 2 and 3 are bis-chelate derivatives that have N(4)O ligation and their geometry is very similar being approximately square-pyramidal. However whereas in complex 2 both TBZH ligands are neutral in 3 one of the 2-PyBZIMH chelators is deprotonated on each copper. The structural results for 4 represent a re-examination of this crystallographically known compound for which no hydrogen atom coordinates have been previously reported. It crystallises as a hydrogen bonded dimmer and is a mono-chelate of phen with each copper centre possessing N(2)O(3) ligation and square pyramidal geometry. The catalase and superoxide dismutase (SOD) activities of the four complexes along with those of the known phenanthroline complexes [Cu(mal)(phen)(2)] and [Cu(phendione)(3)](ClO(4))(2) (malH(2)=malonic acid and phendione=1,10-phenanthroline-5,6-dione) were investigated. Complexes 1-4, the metal free ligands and a simple copper(II) salt were assessed for their cancer chemotherapeutic potential against the hepatocellular carcinoma (Hep-G(2)) and kidney adenocarcinoma (A-498) cell lines. TBZH, 2-PyBZIMH and benzoic acid when uncoordinated to a metal centre offer poor chemotherapeutic potential. copper(II) benzoate is significantly more active than the free acid. The bis-chelate derivatives [Cu(TBZH)(2)(BZA)](BZA).0.5TBZH.H(2)O (2) and [Cu(2-PyBZIMH)(2-PyBZIM)(BZA)].1.66EtOH (3) elicit a significant cytotoxic response to the cancer cell lines tested. Replacing TBZH and 2-PyBZIMH with phen to give [Cu(BZA)(2)(phen)(H(2)O)] (4) does not significantly increase the anti-cancer activity.  相似文献

Several metal ions and their complexes have been known to mimic the action of insulin in in vitro and in vivo systems. We prepared a family of Zn(II) complexes derived from amino ligands with Zn(Nn) (n=3 and 4) coordination modes, the insulinomimetic activity being estimated by an inhibitory effect of free fatty acid release from isolated rat adipocytes treated with epinephrine. In comparison with the positive controls VOSO(4) and ZnSO(4), Zn(II)-amine complexes with stability constants (log beta) lower than 11.5 exhibited higher insulinomimetic activities. Among them, a bis(2-aminomethyl pyridinato)Zn(II) (Zn(2-ampy)(2)(2+)) complex with the highest insulinomimetic activity and a higher stability constant but lower than 11.5 was selected, and subjected to in vivo evaluation in KK-A(y) mice with a genetically type 2 diabetes mellitus. The high blood glucose level of the mice was lowered by daily intraperitoneal injections of Zn(2-ampy)(2)(2+) at a dose of 2 mg Zn/kg body weight for 14 days. Based on the results, Zn(2-ampy)(2)(2+) with Zn(N(4)) coordination mode was proposed to have both a high in vitro insulinomimetic activity and an in vivo blood glucose lowering effect.  相似文献

The synthesis, structural characterization, voltammetric experiments and antibacterial activity of [Ni(sulfisoxazole)(2)(H(2)O)(4)].2H(2)O and [Ni(sulfapyridine)(2)] were studied and compared with similar previously reported copper complexes. [Ni(sulfisoxazole)(2)(H(2)O)(4)].2H(2)O crystallized in a monoclinic system, space group C2/c where the nickel ion was in a slightly distorted octahedral environment, coordinated with two sulfisoxazole molecules through the heterocyclic nitrogen and four water molecules. [Ni(sulfapyridine)(2)] crystallized in a orthorhombic crystal system, space group Pnab. The nickel ion was in a distorted octahedral environment, coordinated by two aryl amine N from two sulfonamides acting as monodentate ligands and four N atoms (two sulfonamidic N and two heterocyclic N) from two different sulfonamide molecules acting as bidentate ligands. Differential pulse voltammograms were recorded showing irreversible peaks at 1040 and 1070 mV, respectively, attributed to Ni(II)/Ni(III) process. [Ni(sulfisoxazole)(2)(H(2)O)(4)].2H(2)O and [Ni(sulfapyridine)(2)] presented different antibacterial behavior against Staphylococcus aureus and Escherichia coli from the similar copper complexes and they were inactive against Mycobacterium tuberculosis.  相似文献

Studies on diiron dithiolato complexes have proven fruitful for modeling the active site of the [FeFe]-hydrogenases. Here we present a departure from the classical Fe(2)S(2) motif by examining the viability of Fe(2)N(2) butterfly compounds as functional models for the diiron active site of [FeFe]-hydrogenases. Derivatization of Fe(2)(BC)(CO)(6) (1, BC=benzo-[c]-cinnoline) with PMe(3) affords Fe(2)(BC)(CO)(4)(PMe(3))(2), which subsequently undergoes protonation at the Fe-Fe bond. The hydride [(mu-H)Fe(2)(BC)(CO)(4)(PMe(3))(2)]PF(6) was characterized crystallographically as the C(2v) isomer. It represents a rare example of a hydrido diiron complex that exists as observable isomers, depending on the location of the phosphine ligands--diapical and apical-basal. This hydride catalyzes the electrochemical reduction of protons.  相似文献

A series of mixed-ligand ruthenium(II) complexes of the type [Ru(en)(2)bpy](2+) (bpy=2,2-bipyridine; 1), [Ru(en)(2)phen](2+) (phen=1,10-phenantroline; 2), [Ru(en)(2)IP](2+) (IP=imidazo[4,5-f][1,10]phenanthroline; 3), and [Ru(en)(2)PIP](2+) (PIP=2-phenylimidazo[4,5-f][1,10]phenanthroline; 4) have been isolated and characterized by UV/VIS, IR, and (1)H-NMR spectral methods. The binding of the complexes with calf thymus DNA has been investigated by absorption, emission spectroscopy, viscosity measurements, DNA melting, and DNA photo-cleavage. The spectroscopic studies together with viscosity measurements and DNA melting studies support that complexes 1 and 2 bind to CT DNA (=calf thymus DNA) by groove mode. Complex 2 binds more avidly to CT DNA than complex 1, complexes 3 and 4 bind to CT DNA by intercalation mode, 4 binds more avidly to CT DNA than 3. Noticeably, the four complexes have been found to be efficient photosensitisers for strand scissions in plasmid DNA.  相似文献

In this paper we report the synthesis and characterization of Ca(II), Gd(III) and Ce(III) complexes with chlorophenoxyalkanoic acids, which are commonly used as herbicides. The Gd(III) and Ca(II) complexes were characterized by the typical formulas [Gd(III)(L)(3)(H(2)O)(2).2dmf](n) and [Ca(L)(2)(MeOH)(2)](n) [L=[2,4-D=2,4-dichlorophenoxyacetic acid, 2,4,5-T=2,4,5-trichlorophenoxyacetic acid, MCPA=2-methyl-4-chlorophenoxy acetic acid and 2,4-DP=2-(2,4-dichlorophenoxy)propanoic acid]]. The crystal structure of the Gd(III) complex with 2,4-D shows that the compound is a one-dimensional polymer with a [Gd(III)(2)(2,4-D)(6)(H(2)O)(4)] dimeric repeat unit and the gadolinium atoms are in a nine-coordination environment, while the crystal structure of the Ca analog shows that it also has a polymeric structure with a [Ca(2)(2,4-D)(4)(CH(3)OH)(4)] dimeric repeat unit and the calcium atoms are in an eight-coordination environment. The gadolinium compound displays three different coordination modes for the carboxylato moiety, bidentate chelate, bidentate double bound and bidentate triple bound, while the calcium compound displays only one, bidentate triple bound. Coordination spheres are completed with oxygens of H(2)O or MeOH molecules, respectively. The complexes were tested against a few common bacteria by minimum inhibitory concentration (MIC) experiments and did not exhibit any antimicrobial action at concentrations up to 1600 microg/ml.  相似文献

Synthesis and crystal structure of two Zn(II) dimer complexes with 1-methylcytosine (1-MeC) are reported. In complex [Zn(2)Cl(4)(mu-1-MeC-O2,N3)(2)] (1), two 1-MeC ligands are bridging two ZnCl(2) moieties. In [Zn(2)(1-MeC-N3)(4)(mu-SO(4))(2)].2H(2)O (2), the sulfates act as bridging ligands and 1-MeC are linked via N3 to Zn(II) as terminal ligands. Both complexes represent the first examples of Zn(II)-pyrimidine dimers. The potential biological significance of 1 and 2 is discussed.  相似文献

5-Fluoroorotic acid (H(3)FOro) is a potent inhibitor for some metalloproteins such as dihydroorotase and dihydroorotate dehydrogenase and for thymidylate synthase (nonmetalloprotein) in the human malaria parasite Plasmodium falciparum. To study the coordination chemistry of H(3)Foro, the ammonium salt [NH(4)(+)][H(2)FOro(-)].1H(2)O (1) and the first coordination compounds of H(3)FOro with transition metals [Ni(HFOro(2-))(H(2)O)(4)].1H(2)O (2), [Cu(HFOro(2-))(NH(3))(H(2)O)](n) (3) and [Cu(3)(FOro(3-))(2)(NH(3))(6)(H(2)O)(2)] (4) have been synthesised and characterised by single-crystal X-ray diffraction, IR spectroscopy and by thermogravimetry. Three different coordination modes of 5-fluoroorotic acid have been established. In all cases the ligand is chelated to the metal via an amido-nitrogen and a carboxylate-oxygen but for (3), there is also a carboxylate oxygen from another HFOro(2-) ligand resulting in a polymeric structure and for (4), the second amido-nitrogen in the ororotic acid ring coordinates to give a trinuclear complex. The metal coordination polyhedra are octahedral in (2), square-pyramidal in (3) and square-planar and approximately square-pyramidal in (4). An octahedral coordination geometry including a N(1)/O(61)-chelating HFOro(2-) ligand with four aqua ligands is proposed for the Zn complex [Zn(HFOro(2-)) (H(2)O)(4)].0.5H(2)O (5), based on IR and thermogravimetric data. Extensive hydrogen bonded networks and some ring-ring stacking interactions are observed in each of the structures.  相似文献

The oxidation of ibuprofen with H2O2 catalysed by Horseradish peroxidase (HRP), Cl8TPPS4Fe(III)(OH2)2 and Cl8TPPS4Mn(III)(OH2)2 in AOT reverse micelles gives 2-(4'-isobutyl-phenyl)ethanol (5) and p-isobutyl acetophenone (6) in moderate yields. The reaction of ibuprofen (2) with H2O2 catalysed by HRP form carbon radicals by the oxidative decarboxylation, which on reaction with molecular oxygen to form hydroperoxy intermediate, responsible for the formation of the products 5 and 6. The yields of different oxidation products depend on the pH, the water to surfactant ratio (Wo), concentration of Cl8TPPS4Fe(III)(OH2)2 and Cl8TPPS4Mn(III)(OH2)2 and amount of molecular oxygen present in AOT reverse micelles. The formation of 2-(4'-isobutyl phenyl)ethanol (5) may be explained by the hydrogen abstraction from ibuprofen by high valent oxo-manganese(IV) radical cation, followed by decarboxylation and subsequent recombination of either free hydroxy radical or hydroxy iron(III)/manganese(III) porphyrins. A range of [PtR(2)(chxn)] (R=C(6)F(5), o-HC(6)F(4), p-HC(6)F(4), p-MeOC(6)F(4) or 3,5-H(2)C(6)F(3); chxn=cyclohexane-1,2-diamine) and cis-[PtR(2)(dmso)(2)] (R=C(6)F(5), p-HC(6)F(4) or p-MeOC(6)F(4); dmso=dimethyl sulfoxide) complexes have been prepared from the corresponding [PtR(2)(diene)] (diene=cis,cis-cycloocta-1,5-diene (cod), hexa-1,5-diene (hex), norbornadiene (nbd) or dicyclopentadiene (dcy)) derivatives and have been spectroscopically characterized. A representative crystal structure of [Pt(C(6)F(5))(2)(cis-chxn)] was determined and shows a slightly distorted square planar geometry for platinum with chxn virtually perpendicular to the coordination plane. The biological activity against L1210 and L1210/DDP cell lines of these compounds together with the behaviour of other organoplatinum complexes, [PtR(2)L(2)] (L(2)=ethane-1,2-diamine (en) or cis-(NH(3))(2)) have been determined. Despite the use of relatively inert fluorocarbon anions as leaving groups, moderate-high cell growth inhibitory activity is observed. None of the fluorocarbon complexes displayed any cross resistance with cisplatin.  相似文献
