An ATPase from anaerobic Lactobacillus casei has been isolated and 100-times purified. The 400 kDa enzyme molecule was found to have a hexagonal structure 10 nm in diameter composed of at least six protein masses. SDS-electrophoresis reveals four or, under certain conditions, five types of subunit, of apparent molecular masses 57 (alpha), 55 (beta), 40 (gamma), 22 (delta) and 14 (epsilon) kDa with stoichiometry of 3 alpha, 3 beta, gamma, delta, epsilon. The following features resembling F1-ATPases from other sources were found to be inherent in the solubilized L. casei ATPase. (i) Detachment from the membrane desensitizes ATPase to low DCCD concentrations and sensitizes it to water-soluble carbodiimide. (ii) Soluble ATPase is inhibited by Nbf chloride and azide, is resistant to SH-modifiers and is activated by sulfite and octyl glucoside, the activating effect being much stronger than in the case of the membrane-bound ATPase. Substrate specificity of the enzyme is also similar to that of other factors F1. Divalent cations strongly activate the soluble enzyme when added at a concentration equal to that of ATP. An excess of Mn2+, Mg2+ or Co2+ inhibits ATPase activity of F1, whereas that of Ca2+ induces its further activation. No other F1-like ATPases are found in L. casei. It is concluded that this anaerobic bacterium possesses a typical F1-ATPase similar to those in mitochondria, chloroplasts, aerobic and photosynthetic eubacteria.  相似文献

A modified procedure for the purification of soluble ATPase from the thermoacidophilic archaebacterium Sulfolobus acidocaldarius is described. In addition to (alpha) 65 and (beta) 51 kDa polypeptides, further subunits gamma * (20 kDa) and delta * (12 kDa) are demonstrated to be components of the enzyme, exhibiting a total molecular mass of 380 kDa. Molecular electron microscopic images of the native enzyme indicate a quaternary structure probably formed by the gamma *, delta *-complex as a central mass surrounded by a pseudohexagon of the peripherally arranged larger alpha and beta subunits. As can be derived from both molecular mass and electron microscopy data, the archaebacterial Sulfolobus-ATPase emerges to exist as an alpha 3 beta 3-quaternary structure with respect to the larger subunits. This is normally found in typical F1-ATPases of eubacterial and eukaryotic organisms. Therefore it is postulated that F1- and F0F1-ATPases, respectively, can occur ubiquitously in all urkingdoms of organisms as functional units of energy-transducing membranes.  相似文献

The gene which encodes the beta subunit of the novel membrane-associated ATPase has been identified and characterized. The beta subunit, which is most likely the soluble part of the non-F0F1 type H+-ATPase, was obtained from the archaebacterium, Sulfolobus acidocaldarius. In terms of its location, it follows just after the gene for its alpha subunit. It is comprised of 1398 nucleotides, corresponding to a protein of 465 amino acids, and the consensus sequence in the nucleotide binding proteins is poorly conserved. Together with previously described results, the distant homology of the S. acidocaldarius ATPase alpha and beta subunits when compared to those of F0F1-ATPases indicates that this archaebacterial ATPase belongs to an ion-translocating ATPase family uniquely different than F0F1-ATPases even if S. acidocaldarius ATPase and F0F1-ATPases have been derived from a common ancestral ATPase.  相似文献

F0F1-ATPase of plant mitochondria: isolation and polypeptide composition   总被引:1,自引:0,他引:1
A simple and high yield purification procedure for the isolation of F0F1-ATPase from spinach leaf mitochondria has been developed. This is the first report concerning purification and composition of the plant mitochondrial F0F1-ATPase. The enzyme is selectively extracted from inner membrane vesicles with the zwitterionic detergent, 3-[(3-cholamidopropyl) dimethyl ammonio]-1- propane sulfonate (CHAPS). The purified enzyme exhibits a high oligomycin-sensitive ATPase activity (3,6 mumol.min-1.mg-1). SDS-PAGE of the purified F0F1-ATPase complex reveals protein bands of molecular masses of 54 kDa (F1 alpha, beta), 33 kDa (F1 gamma), 28 kDa, 23 kDa, 21 kDa (F1 delta), 18.5 kDa, 15 kDa, 10.5 kDa, 9.5 kDa (F1 epsilon) and 8.5 kDa. All polypeptides migrate as one complex in a polyacrylamide gradient gel under non-denaturing conditions in the presence of 0.1% Triton X-100. Five polypeptides could be identified as subunits of F1. Polypeptides of molecular masses 28 kDa, 23 kDa, 18.5 kDa, 15 kDa, 10.5 kDa, 9.5 kDa and 8.5 kDa constitute the F0 part of the complex. Our results show that polypeptide composition of the plant mitochondrial F0 differs from other eukaryotic F0 of yeast, mammals and chloroplasts.  相似文献

The atpAB genes which encode the alpha and beta subunits of membrane ATPase from a thermophilic eubacterium, Thermus thermophilus HB8, were cloned. The deduced amino-acid sequences of the alpha subunit (583 amino acids) and the beta subunit (478 amino acids) are only moderately similar to the alpha beta subunits of the F0F1-ATPases, while they are highly similar to the major two subunits of the V-type ATPases, a family of ATPases which have been so far found in eukaryotic endomembrane vacuolar vesicles and archaebacterial plasma membranes. Thus, T. thermophilus ATPase belongs to the V-type ATPase family, even though this bacterium is a eubacterium. The hypothesis that the differentiation of an ancestral ATPase into V-type and F0F1-ATPase occurred after the evolution of a primordial cell into archaebacteria and eubacteria should be modified accordingly.  相似文献

The H+-translocating ATP synthase of Halobacterium halobium (Y. Mukohata and M. Yoshida (1987) J. Biochem. 102, 797-802) includes a catalytic moiety of 320 kDa which is isolated as an azide-insensitive ATPase (T. Nanba and Y. Mukohata (1987) J. Biochem. 102, 591-598). The polyclonal antibody against this archaebacterial ATPase cross-reacts with the anion-sensitive H+-ATPase of red beet, Beta vulgaris, tonoplast as well as with another archaebacterial ATPase from Sulfolobus acidocaldarius. The affinity is much higher than to F1-ATPase from spinach chloroplasts or to Ca2+-ATPase from sarcoplasmic reticulum of rabbit skeletal muscle.  相似文献

The H+-ATPase complex has been isolated from the membranes of the anaerobic bacterium Lactobacillus casei by two independent methods. 1. The crossed-immunoelectrophoresis of the 14C-labelled ATPase complex against antibodies to a highly purified soluble ATPase has been used. The subunit composition of the complex has been established by autoradiography. The soluble part of L. casei ATPase, in contrast to coupling factor F1-ATPases of aerobic bacteria, chloroplasts and mitochondria which include two kinds of large subunit (alpha and beta), consists of one kind of large subunit with a molecular mass of 43 kDa. Moreover, a minor polypeptide of 25 kDa has been found in the soluble ATPase. Factor F0 of L. casei ATPase complex consists of a 16-kDa subunit and two subunits with molecular masses less than 14 kDa. 2. A dicyclohexylcarbodiimide-sensitive ATPase complex has been isolated from L. casei membranes by treating them with a mixture of octyl glucoside and sodium cholate. The complex, purified by centrifugation on a sucrose density gradient, contains the main subunits with molecular masses of 43 kDa, 25 kDa and 16 kDa and a dicyclohexylcarbodiimide-binding subunit with a molecular mass less than 14 kDa.  相似文献

The vacuolar ATPase of Neurospora crassa contains an F1-like structure   总被引:8,自引:0,他引:8
We have explored the structure and subunit composition of the vacuolar ATPase of Neurospora crassa by investigating the effects of nitrate. Inhibition of enzyme activity by nitrate was correlated with dissociation of a complex of peripheral polypeptides from the integral membrane part of the enzyme. Surprisingly, this nitrate-induced release of subunits occurred only when nucleotides such as ADP, ATP, or ITP were present. ATPase inhibitors that have been proposed to act at the active site prevented release of subunits. Six polypeptides, 67, 57, 51, 48, 30, and 16 kDa, were coordinately released from the vacuolar membrane. When analyzed by size exclusion chromatography or by centrifugation through glycerol gradients, the six polypeptides behaved as an aggregate of about 440,000 kDa. We also examined vacuolar membranes by electron microscopy, using negative staining. We observed a high density of "ball and stalk" structures on the membranes, similar in size but different in shape from the F0F1-ATPase of mitochondrial membranes. Treatment with nitrate removed the ball and stalk structures from vacuolar membranes but had no visible effect on mitochondrial membranes. We concluded that the overall structure of the vacuolar ATPase is similar to that of F0F1-ATPases; however, the sizes of the component polypeptides and the factors that can cause dissociation are different.  相似文献

The head piece of the A-type ATP synthase in an extremely halophilic archaebacterium, namely Halobacterium salinarium (halobium), is composed of two kinds of subunit, alpha and beta, and is associated with ATP-hydrolyzing activity. The genes encoding these subunits with hydrolytic activity have been cloned and sequenced. The putative amino acid sequences of the alpha and beta subunits deduced from the nucleotide sequences of the genomic DNA consist of 585 and 471 residues, respectively. The amino acid sequence of the alpha subunit of the halobacterial ATPase is 63 and 49% identical to the alpha subunits of ATPases from two other archaebacteria, Methanosarcina barkeri and Sulfolobus acidocaldarius, respectively. The sequence of the beta subunit is 66 and 55% identical to the beta subunits from these respective organisms. The homology between the alpha and beta subunits is around 30%. In contrast, the sequences of the halobacterial ATPase is less than 30% identical to F1 ATPase when any combination of subunits is considered. However, they are greater than 50% identical to a eukaryotic vacuolar ATPase when alpha and a, beta and b combinations are considered. These data fully confirm the first demonstration of this kind of relationship which was achieved by immunoblotting with an antibody raised against the halobacterial ATPase. We concluded that the archaebacterial ATP synthase is an A-type and not an F-type ATPase. This classification is also demonstrated by a "rooted" phylogenetic tree where halobacteria locate close to other archaebacteria and eukaryotes and distant from eubacteria.  相似文献

Higher plant cells have one or more vacuoles important for maintaining cell turgor and for the transport and storage of ions and metabolites. One driving force for solute transport across the vacuolar membrane (tonoplast) is provided by an ATP-dependent electrogenic H+ pump. The tonoplast H+-pumping ATPase from oat roots has been solubilized with Triton X-100 and purified 16-fold by Sepharose 4B chromatography. The partially purified enzyme was sensitive to the same inhibitors (N-ethylmaleimide, N,N'-dicyclohexylcarbodiimide (DCCD), 7-chloro-4-nitrobenzo-2-oxa-1,3-diazole, 4,4'-diisothiocyano-2,2'-stilbene disulfonic acid, and NO-3) as the native membrane-bound enzyme. The partially purified enzyme was stimulated by Cl- (Km(app) = 1.0 mM) and hydrolyzed ATP with a Km(app) of 0.25 mM. Thus, the partially purified tonoplast ATPase has retained the properties of the native membrane-bound enzyme. [14C]DCCD labeled a single polypeptide (14-18 kDa) in the purified tonoplast ATPase preparation. Two major polypeptides, 72 and 60 kDa, that copurified with the ATPase activity and the 14-18-kDa DCCD-binding peptide are postulated to be subunits of a holoenzyme of 300-600 kDa (estimated by gel filtration). Despite several catalytic similarities with the mitochondrial H+-ATPase, the major polypeptides of the tonoplast ATPase differed in mass from the alpha and beta subunits (58 and 55 kDa) and the [14C] DCCD-binding proteolipid (8 kDa) of the oat F1F0-ATPase.  相似文献

Membrane-bound ATPase was found in membranes of the archaebacterium Methanosarcina barkeri. The ATPase activity required divalent cations, Mg2+ or Mn2+, and maximum activity was obtained at pH 5.2. The activity was specifically stimulated by HSO3- with a shift of optimal pH to 5.8, and N,N'-dicyclohexylcarbodiimide inhibited ATP hydrolysis. The enzyme could be solubilized from membranes by incubation in 1 mM Tris-maleate buffer (pH 6.9) containing 0.5 mM EDTA. The solubilized ATPase was purified by DEAE-Sepharose and Sephacryl S-300 chromatography. The molecular weight of the purified enzyme was estimated to be 420,000 by gel filtration through Sephacryl S-300. Polyacrylamide gel electrophoresis in sodium dodecyl sulfate revealed two classes of subunit, Mr 62,000 (alpha) and 49,000 (beta) associated in the molar ratio 1:1. These results suggest that the ATPase of M. barkeri is similar to the F0F1 type ATPase found in many eubacteria.  相似文献

Immunological cross-reactivity among three types of H(+)-ATPases, that is, three archaebacterial ATPases, the F1-ATPase from thermophilic bacterium PS3 (TF1) and the vacuolar membrane ATPase from Saccharomyces cerevisiae, was examined by means of immunoblot analyses. The three archaebacterial ATPases were very similar in immunological cross-reactivity, suggesting that they belong to the same family of ATPases. Cross-reaction was also observed between the ATPase from Sulfolobus acidocaldarius, one of the three archaebacteria, and TF1. S. cerevisiae vacuolar ATPase reacted with the antibodies prepared against each of the three archaebacterial ATPases, but did not react with the antibody against TF1. Electron microscopic examination revealed that the oligomeric structure of Sulfolobus ATPase was very similar to that of F1-ATPase. These results, taken together, suggest that the archaebacterial ATPases share close structural similarities with the vacuolar ATPases, and, to a lesser degree, with the F0F1-ATPases.  相似文献

Peripheral and integral subunits of the tonoplast H+-ATPase from oat roots   总被引:10,自引:0,他引:10
The subunit organization of the tonoplast H+-pumping ATPase from oat roots (Avena sativa L. var. Lang) was investigated. Tonoplast vesicles were treated with low ionic strength solutions (0.1 mM 4-(2-hydroxyethyl)-1-piperazineethanesulfonic acid buffer or 0.1 mM Na EDTA), carbonate, or a chaotropic reagent (KI), and then centrifuged to give a soluble fraction and a pellet. Treatments with low ionic strength solutions or KI resulted in 70-80% reduction in the membrane-associated ATPase activity, but did not affect the K+-stimulated pyrophosphatase activity. Polypeptides of 72, 60, and 41 kDa were solubilized from tonoplast vesicles by these wash treatments. These polypeptides reacted with polyclonal antibodies against the holoenzyme of tonoplast ATPase (anti-ATPase) and copurified with the tonoplast ATPase activity during gel filtration chromatography (Sepharose CL-6B). Mono-specific antibody against the 72- or 60-kDa polypeptide reacted with the solubilized 72- or 60-kDa polypeptide, respectively. However, the N,N-[14C]dicyclohexylcarbodiimide-binding 16-kDa polypeptide and a 13-kDa polypeptide that also reacted with anti-ATPase and copurified with the tonoplast ATPase activity during gel filtration remained in the pellets after the wash treatments. We conclude that the 72- and 60-kDa polypeptides appear to be peripheral subunits of the tonoplast ATPase and that the 16-kDa polypeptide is probably embedded in the membrane bilayer. Additional subunits of the ATPase complex may include a 41-kDa (peripheral) and a 13-kDa (integral) polypeptide. Based on these results, a working model of the tonoplast ATPase analogous to the F1F0-ATPase is proposed.  相似文献

A glycoprotein ATPase in cholinergic synaptic vesicles of Torpedo electric organ was solubilized with octa-ethylene glycol dodecyl ether detergent. Study of potential stabilizing factors identified crude brain phosphatidylserine, glycerol, dithiothreitol, and protease inhibitors as of value in maintaining activity. The ATPase was purified from the solubilized, stabilized material by glycerol density gradient band sedimentation velocity ultracentrifugation, and hydroxylapatite, wheat germ lectin affinity, and size exclusion chromatographies. The pure ATPase had a specific activity of about 37 mumol ATP hydrolyzed/min/mg protein. After sodium dodecyl sulfate-polyacrylamide gel electrophoresis, the purified material typically exhibited three polypeptides of molecular masses 110, 104, and 98 kilodaltons (kDa) and a fourth diffuse polypeptide of 60 kDa. This composition suggests that the ATPase is a member of the P-type, or phosphointermediate-forming, family, but it was shown to be distinct from the ouabain-sensitive Na+,K+- and CA2+-stimulated Mg2+-ATPases. The purified vesicle enzyme was rapidly phosphorylated by [gamma-32P]ATP on about 14% of the subunits with molecular weights of 98,000-110,000. About 16% of the ATPase was phosphorylated in whole-vesicle ghosts in a manner consistent with formation of a phosphointermediate, thus confirming the P-type nature of this enzyme.  相似文献

The nucleotide sequence of the operon of the ATPase complex of an acidothermophilic archaebacterium, Sulfolobus acidocaldarius, has been determined. In addition to the three previously reported genes for the alpha, beta, and c (proteolipid) subunits of the ATPase complex (Denda, K., Konishi, J., Oshima, T., Date, T., and Yoshida, M. (1989) J. Biol. Chem. 264, 7119-7121), the operon contained three other genes encoding hydrophilic proteins with molecular masses 25, 13, and 7 kDa. The 25-kDa protein is the third largest subunit (gamma), the 13-kDa protein is most likely the fourth subunit (delta), and the 7-kDa protein may correspond to an unknown subunit of the ATPase, tentatively named as epsilon subunit. They do not have significant sequence similarity to subunits in F0F1-ATPases and eukaryotic V-type ATPases, whereas the other three subunits, alpha, beta, and c, have homologous counterparts in F0F1- and V-type ATPases. The order of the genes in the operon was delta alpha beta gamma epsilon c. The S. acidocaldarius ATPase operon differed from the eucabacterial F0F1-ATPase operon in that the former contains only one gene for a hydrophobic subunit at the most downstream part of the operon whereas the latter has three hydrophobic F0 genes preceding five hydrophilic F1 genes.  相似文献

The coupling-factor ATPases from photosynthetically grown Rhodopseudomonas palustris and Rhodopseudomonas sphaeroides were purified by the same procedure to homogeneity. Gel chromatography on Sephacryl S-300 Superfine shortened the process of purification and improved its yield. Solubilization of the ATPase from both bacteria was found to be dependent on a specific sonication treatment of the cell suspensions, indicating a very weakly bound F1-ATPase in R. palustris. Depleted chromatophores could be restored in photophosphorylation and membrane-bound ATPase activities by adding the solubilized ATPase protein. The purified enzymes did not show a markedly trypsin-stimulated or dithiothreitol-stimulated activity. Isoelectric focusing and chromatofocusing revealed isoelectric points of 5.0 for both F1-ATPases. The molecular weights were determined by gel chromatography plus high-performance liquid chromatography. Hence, we calculated a molecular weight of 350000 for both F1-ATPases. Sodium dodecylsulfate/polyacrylamide gel electrophoresis revealed five subunits for both enzymes. Kinetic parameters, regarding substrate specificity, the effect of divalent cations, Km and Ki values for the membrane-bound and solubilized ATPases were determined.  相似文献

Biochemical characterization of the yeast vacuolar H(+)-ATPase   总被引:15,自引:0,他引:15
The yeast vacuolar proton-translocating ATPase was isolated by two different methods. A previously reported purification of the enzyme (Uchida, E., Ohsumi, Y., and Anraku, Y. (1985) J. Biol. Chem. 260, 1090-1095) was repeated. This procedure consisted of isolation of vacuoles, solubilization with the zwitterionic detergent ZW3-14, and glycerol gradient centrifugation of the solubilized vacuoles. The fraction with the highest specific activity (11 mumol of ATP hydrolyzed mg-1 min-1) included eight polypeptides of apparent molecular masses of 100, 69, 60, 42, 36, 32, 27, and 17 kDa, suggesting that the enzyme may be more complex than the three-subunit composition proposed from the original purification. The 69-kDa polypeptide was recognized by antisera against the catalytic subunits of two other vacuolar ATPases and labeled with the ATP analog 7-chloro-4-nitrobenzo-2-oxa-1,3-diazole, indicating that it contains all or part of the catalytic site. A monoclonal antibody was prepared against this subunit. Under nondenaturing conditions, the antibody immunoprecipitated eight polypeptides, of the same molecular masses as those seen in the glycerol gradient fraction, from solubilized vacuolar vesicles. All eight of these polypeptides are therefore good candidates for being genuine subunits of the enzyme. The structure and function of the yeast vacuolar H+-ATPase were further characterized by examining the inhibition of ATPase activity by KNO3. In the presence of 5 mM MgATP, 100 mM KNO3 inhibited 71% of the ATPase activity of vacuolar vesicles, and the 69- and 60-kDa subunits (and possibly the 42-kDa subunit) were removed from the vacuolar membrane to a similar extent. At concentrations of less than 200 mM KNO3, the stripping of the ATPase subunits and the inhibition of ATPase activity were dependent on the presence of MgATP, suggesting that this is a conformation-specific disassembly of the enzyme. The yeast vacuolar H+-ATPase is a multisubunit enzyme, consisting of a combination of peripheral and integral membrane subunits. Its structure and subunit composition are very similar to other vacuolar ATPase, and it shares some characteristics with the F1F0-ATPases.  相似文献

Cell envelope vesicles of Halobacterium halobium synthesize ATP by utilizing base-acid transition (an outside acidic pH jump) under optimal conditions (1 M NaCl, 80 mM MgCl2, pH 6.8) even in the presence of azide (a specific inhibitor of F0F1-ATPase) (Mukohata & Yoshida (1987) J. Biochem. 101, 311-318). An azide-insensitive ATPase was isolated from the inner face of the vesicle membrane, and shown to hydrolyze ATP under very specific conditions (1.5 M Na2SO4, 10 mM MnCl2, pH 5.8) (Nanba & Mukohata (1987) J. Biochem. 102, 591-598). This ATPase activity could also be detected when the vesicle components were solubilized by detergent. The relationship between ATP synthesis and the membrane-bound ATPase was investigated by modification of the vesicles with 7-chloro-4-nitrobenzo-2-oxa-1,3-diazole (NBD-Cl) or N-ethylmaleimide (NEM). The inhibition pattern of ATP synthesis in the modified vesicles and that of ATP hydrolysis of the solubilized modified vesicles were compared under the individual optimum conditions. The inhibition patterns were almost identical, suggesting that the ATP synthesis and hydrolysis are catalyzed by a single enzyme complex. The ATP synthase includes the above ATPase (300-320 kDa), which is composed of two pairs of 86 and 64 kDa subunits. This is a novel H+-translocating ATP synthase functioning in the extremely halophilic archaebacterium. This "archae-ATP-synthase" differs from F0F1-ATPase/synthase, which had been thought to be ubiquitous among all respiring organisms on our biosphere.  相似文献

Radiation inactivation analysis gave the target sizes of 176 +/- 5 kDa and 275 +/- 33 kDa for ATPase from anaerobic Lactobacillus casei and aerobic Micrococcus luteus bacteria respectively. The values are close to the known molecular masses of the enzymes. Thus, to function the L. casei ATPase, like the F1-ATPases, requires a complete structure composed of all the enzyme subunits. L. casei ATPase is inhibited by 4-chloro-7-nitrobenzo-2-oxa-1,3-diazole owing to modification of an amino acid residue(s) with pK greater than 8.5. L. casei ATPase consists of six identical subunits and differs from alpha 3 beta 3 gamma delta epsilon-type F1-ATPases in a number of catalytic properties. Namely, ATP hydrolysis under the 'unisite' conditions proceeds at a relatively high rate suggesting the absence of cooperative interactions between the catalytic sites. Contrary to mitochondrial F1-ATPase. L. casei ATPase does not form an inactive complex with ADP. These findings imply essential differences in the operating mechanism for L. casei ATPase and F1 ATPase.  相似文献

Subunit composition of vacuolar membrane H(+)-ATPase from mung bean   总被引:11,自引:0,他引:11
The vacuolar H(+)-ATPase from mung bean hypocotyls was solubilized from the membrane with lysophosphatidycholine and purified by QAE-Toyopearl column chromatography. The purified ATPase was active only in the presence of exogenous phospholipid and was inhibited by nitrate, dicyclohexyl carbodiimide and Triton X-100, but not by vanadate or azide. Dodecyl sulfate/polyacrylamide gel electrophoresis of the purified ATPase yielded ten polypeptides of molecular masses of 68 kDa, 57 kDa, 44 kDa, 43 kDa, 38 kDa, 37 kDa 32 kDa, 16 kDa, 13 kDa and 12 kDa. All polypeptides remained in the peak activity fraction after glycerol density gradient centrifugation. Nine of them, excluding the 43-kDa polypeptide, comigrated in a polyacrylamide gradient gel in the presence of 0.1% Triton X-100. The 16-kDa polypeptide could be labeled with [14C]dicyclohexylcarbodiimide. The amino-terminal amino acid sequence of the isolated 68-kDa polypeptide generally agreed with that deduced from the cDNA for the carrot 69-kDa subunit [Zimniak, L., Dittrich, P., Gogarten, J. P., Kibak, H. & Taiz, L. (1988) J. Biol. Chem. 263, 9102-9112]. Thus, mung bean vacuolar H(+)-ATPase seems to consist of nine distinct subunits.  相似文献
