Acute lung injury (ALI) is a complex disorder associated with an acute inflammatory response thought to contribute to tissue injury. Desmosine, a cross-linking amino acid present in elastin, is released during matrix degradation and cleared by the kidney. Results from animal models and human disease studies have suggested that ALI is associated with the release of desmosine, resulting in increased urinary desmosine. A radioimmunoassay was used to monitor urinary desmosine levels over 10 days in ten patients with ALI. The concentration of desmosine was measured with and without acid hydrolysis. Baseline urinary desmosine was increased in two of ten patients. The concentration of desmosine at baseline did not appear to be related to age, gender, neutrophil elastase (NE)/α1-antiprotease complex concentration or PaO2/FiO2 ratio. No meaningful changes in desmosine levels were noted after removal from mechanical ventilation. Baseline desmosine concentrations did not appear to correlate with the risk of death. The limited sensitivity, predictive correlations and dynamic modulation would suggest that urine desmosine has a limited role as a biomarker for ALI. Hydrolysis of urine samples appears necessary for optimal measurement of urine desmosine.  相似文献

Desmosine is a stable breakdown product of elastin that can be reliably measured in urine samples. We tested the hypothesis that higher baseline urine desmosine would be associated with higher mortality in 579 of 861 patients included in the recent Acute Respiratory Distress Syndrome Network trial of lower tidal volume ventilation (1). We also correlated urine desmosine levels with indexes of disease severity. Finally, we assessed whether urine desmosine was lower in patients who received lower tidal volumes. Desmosine was measured by radioimmunoassay in urine samples from days 0, 1, and 3 of the study. The data were expressed as a ratio of urine desmosine to urine creatinine to control for renal dilution. The results show that higher baseline (day 0) urine desmosine-to-creatinine concentration was associated with a higher risk of death on adjusted analysis (odds ratio 1.36, 95% confidence interval 1.02-1.82, P=0.03). Urine desmosine increased in both ventilator groups from day 0 to day 3, but the average rise was higher in the 12-ml/kg predicted body weight group compared with the 6-ml/kg predicted body weight group (P=0.053, repeated-measures model). In conclusion, patients with acute lung injury ventilated with lower tidal volumes have lower urine desmosine levels, a finding that may reflect reduced extracellular matrix breakdown. These results illustrate the value of evaluating urinary biological markers that may have prognostic and pathogenetic significance in acute lung injury.  相似文献

An enhanced proteolysis of lung interstitium is key event in the pathogenesis of emphysema, a major constituent of chronic obstructive pulmonary disease. To assess whether urinary desmosine and/or hydroxyproline may be used as a marker of lung destruction we studied urinary excretions of these products in 20 patients with chronic obstructive pulmonary disease and in 19 appropriate controls in 24h urine collection samples. For desmosine measurements, we developed a new indirect competitive enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay. The extent of emphysema was measured in high resolution computed tomography (CT) scans, by considering lung area with CT numbers <-950 Hounsfield units (HU).Urinary desmosine excretion was significantly higher in patients with chronic obstructive pulmonary disease than in controls (294+/-121 microg versus 183+/-93 microg, P=0.003), and was unrelated with both age and smoking habits. In patients with no evidence or only mild emphysema, desmosine excretion values were significantly higher (P=0.006) than those of patients with moderate to severe emphysema. In patients with chronic obstructive pulmonary disease, urinary hydroxyproline excretion was positively correlated with urinary desmosine excretion but on the average, it was not different from that of controls.These data indicate that urinary desmosine is a sensitive biological marker of lung elastin catabolism. The relatively low levels of urinary desmosine observed in patients with severe emphysema may be accounted for a decrease in elastin catabolism due to reduced lung elastin mass. Urinary desmosine may be used to identify subjects at risk of developing emphysema and to assess the efficacy of therapeutic interventions.  相似文献

Background

The burden of proteinases from inflammatory cells in the lung of subjects with type Pi ZZ of alpha-1-antitrypsin deficiency is higher than in those without the deficiency. Cross-sectional studies have shown increased levels of biomarkers of extracellular matrix degradation in vivo. Longitudinal variability of these biomarkers is unknown but desirable for clinical studies with proteinase inhibitors.

Methods

We measured three different types of biomarkers, including desmosines, elastase-formed fibrinogen fragments and heparan sulfate epitope JM403, in plasma and urine for a period of 7 weeks in a group of 12 patients who participated in a placebo-controlled study to assess the safety of a single inhalation of hyaluronic acid.

Results

Effect of study medication on any of the biomarkers was not seen. Baseline desmosines in plasma and urine correlated with baseline CO diffusion capacity (R = 0.81, p = 0.01 and R = 0.65, p = 0.05). Mean coefficient of variation within patients (CVi) for plasma and urine desmosines was 18.7 to 13.5%, respectively. Change in urinary desmosine levels correlated significantly with change in plasma desmosine levels (R = 0.84, p < 0.01). Mean CVi for fibrinogen fragments in plasma was 20.5% and for JM403 in urine was 27.8%. No correlations were found between fibrinogen fragments or JM403 epitope and desmosines.

Conclusion

We found acceptable variability in our study parameters, indicating the feasibility of their use in an evaluation of biochemical efficacy of alpha-1-antitrypsin augmentation therapy in Pi Z subjects.  相似文献

Decreased circulating protein C and increased circulating thrombomodulin are markers of the prothrombotic, antifibrinolytic state associated with poor outcomes in sepsis but have not been measured in patients with ALI (acute lung injury)/ARDS (acute respiratory distress syndrome). We measured circulating and intra-alveolar protein C and thrombomodulin in 45 patients with ALI/ARDS from septic and nonseptic causes and correlated the levels with clinical outcomes. Plasma protein C levels were lower in ALI/ARDS compared with normal. Lower levels of protein C were associated with worse clinical outcomes, including death, fewer ventilator-free days, and more nonpulmonary organ failures, even when only patients without sepsis were analyzed. Levels of thrombomodulin in pulmonary edema fluid from ALI/ARDS patients were >10-fold higher than normal plasma and 2-fold higher than ALI/ARDS plasma. Higher edema fluid thrombomodulin levels were associated with worse clinical outcomes. The higher levels in edema fluid compared with plasma suggest local release of soluble thrombomodulin in the lung, possibly from a lung epithelial source. To determine whether lung epithelial cells can release thrombomodulin, A549 cells and primary isolates of human alveolar type II cells were exposed to H2O2 or inflammatory cytokines. Both epithelial cell types released thrombomodulin into the media. In summary, the protein C system is markedly disrupted in patients with ALI/ARDS from both septic and nonseptic causes. The protein C system may be a potential therapeutic target in patients with ALI/ARDS.  相似文献

We investigated the association of As exposure and genetic polymorphism in glutathione S-transferase π1 (GSTP1) with As metabolism in 190 local residents from the As contaminated groundwater areas in the Red River Delta, Vietnam. Total As concentrations in groundwater ranged from <0.1 to 502 μg l(-1). Concentrations of dimethylarsinic acid (DMA(V)), monomethylarsonic acid (MMA(V)), and arsenite (As(III)) in human urine were positively correlated with total As levels in the groundwater, suggesting that people in these areas may be exposed to As through the groundwater. The concentration ratios of urinary As(III)/arsenate (As(V)) and MMA(V)/inorganic As (IA; As(III) + As(V))(M/I), which are indicators of As metabolism, increased with the urinary As level. Concentration and proportion of As(III) were high in the wild type of GSTP1 Ile105Val compared with the hetero type, and these trends were more pronounced in the higher As exposure group (>56 μg l(-1) creatinine in urine), but not in the lower exposure group. In the high As exposure group, As(III)/As(V) ratios in the urine of wild type of GSTP1 Ile105Val were significantly higher than those of the hetero type, while the opposite trend was observed for M/I. These results suggest that the excretion and metabolism of IA may depend on both the As exposure level and the GSTP1 Ile105Val genotype.  相似文献

Uroguanylin is a small-molecular-weight peptide that activates membrane-bound receptor-guanylate cyclases in the intestine, kidney, and other epithelia. Uroguanylin has been shown to participate in the regulation of salt and water homeostasis in mammals via cGMP-mediated processes, bearing a distinct similarity to the action of the atriopeptins, which play a defined role in natriuresis and act as prognostic indicators of severe congestive heart failure (CHF). The objectives of this study were to measure the urinary levels of uroguanylin and the circulating plasma levels of atrial natriuretic peptide (ANP) in healthy individuals (n = 53) and patients with CHF (n = 16). Urinary excretion of uroguanylin was assessed by a cGMP accumulation bioassay employing human T84 intestinal cells. In individuals without CHF, the concentration of uroguanylin bioactivity was 1.31 +/- 0.27 nmol cGMP/ml urine and 1.73 +/- 0.25 micromol cGMP/24-h urine collection. The urinary bioactivity of uroguanylin in males (1.74 +/- 0.55 nmol cGMP/ml urine; n = 27) tended to be higher than the excretion levels in females (0.94 +/- 0.16 nmol cGMP/ml urine; n = 26) over a 24-h period but did not achieve statistical significance. Both male and female groups showed 24-h temporal diurnal variations with the highest uroguanylin levels observed between the hours of 8:00 AM and 2:00 PM. The circulating level of ANP was 12.1 +/- 1.6 pg/ml plasma and did not significantly vary with respect to male/female population or diurnal variation. The administration of ethacrynic acid and frusemide to healthy volunteers was regularly followed by the excretion of hyaline casts, without any concomitant proteinuria. Hydrochlorothiazide and chlorthalidone did not themselves induce cylindruria but augmented that provoked by acidifying agents. It was shown by the indirect immunofluorescence method that the casts were composed of uromucoid (Tamm-Horsfall mucoprotein), which is always present in the urine, usually in solution, and originates predominantly from the tubule cells of the ascending limb of Henle''s loop. The urinary excretion of Tamm-Horsfall mucoprotein was not increased after the administration of ethacrynic acid. This mucoprotein is precipitated and forms aggregates when the concentration of electrolytes increases and when the pH of the urine declines. The casts that appear in the urine after strenuous physical exertion are of essentially the same composition. Casts produced by patients with kidney diseases, on the other hand, contain various protein fractions derived from the blood as well as mucoprotein. Cylindruria occurring during diuretic therapy and physical exertion is of no pathological significance, and the diagnostic value of byaline casts is very much limited if their exact composition cannot be determined.  相似文献

Increased synthesis of peptidoleukotrienes may occur in a variety of inflammatory diseases. To test this theory, hospitalized patients with a variety of diseases were studied and urine LTE4 quantitated as an index of total body peptidoleukotriene synthesis. 10 patients with ARDS, 7 of which had additional organ involvement, and 5 patients suffering from severe burn injuries were studied. Patients with uncomplicated ARDS excreted approximately 6-fold higher amounts of LTE4 in urine compared to healthy subjects. When ARDS was complicated by multiple organ failure (MOF), urine LTE4 levels were 2- to 150-fold higher than in healthy volunteers. Patients with severe burn injuries had peak urine LTE4 levels which were approximately 20-fold higher than in healthy volunteers. As additional controls, patients with cardiac arrhythmias (absence of inflammatory disease) and patients with uncomplicated pneumonia (localized inflammation) showed normal or mildly elevated urinary LTE4 levels. The urinary LTE4 levels in ARDS patients did not correlate with serum creatinine, bilirubin, or LDH levels, or with the WBC, nor did renal or liver failure by itself predict extremely elevated urinary LTE4 levels. In conclusion, patients with ARDS or ARDS/MOF and patients with severe injuries and sepsis syndrome excrete higher levels of urinary LTE4 than patients healthy volunteers or patients with limited inflammatory disease. In certain situations, urinary LTE4 levels may be useful as a marker of the degree of inflammation.  相似文献

Diabetic nephropathy develops in association with hyperglycemia, is aggravated by atherogenic factors such as dyslipidemia, and is sometimes initiated before obvious hyperglycemia is seen. However, the precise mechanisms of progression are still unclear. In this study, we investigated the influence of an atherogenic Paigen diet (PD) on the progression of nephropathy in spontaneous type 2 diabetic OLETF rats. Feeding PD to male OLETF rats for 12 weeks caused an extensive increase in excretion of urinary albumin and markers of tubular injury such as KIM-1 and L-FABP, accompanied by mesangial expansion and tubular atrophy. PD significantly increased plasma total cholesterol concentration, which correlates well with increases in urine albumin excretion and mesangial expansion. Conversely, PD did not change plasma glucose and free fatty acid concentrations. PD enhanced renal levels of mRNA for inflammatory molecules such as KIM-1, MCP-1, TLR4 and TNF-α and promoted macrophage infiltration and lipid accumulation in the tubulointerstitium and glomeruli in OLETF rats. Intriguingly, PD had little effect on urine albumin excretion and renal morphology in normal control LETO rats. This model may be useful in studying the complex mechanisms that aggravate diabetic nephropathy in an atherogenic environment.  相似文献

Introduction

Uric acid released from injured tissue is considered a major endogenous danger signal and local instillation of uric acid crystals induces acute lung inflammation via activation of the NLRP3 inflammasome. Ventilator-induced lung injury (VILI) is mediated by the NLRP3 inflammasome and increased uric acid levels in lung lavage fluid are reported. We studied levels in human lung injury and the contribution of uric acid in experimental VILI.

Methods

Uric acid levels in lung lavage fluid of patients with acute lung injury (ALI) were determined. In a different cohort of cardiac surgery patients, uric acid levels were correlated with pulmonary leakage index. In a mouse model of VILI the effect of allopurinol (inhibits uric acid synthesis) and uricase (degrades uric acid) pre-treatment on neutrophil influx, up-regulation of adhesion molecules, pulmonary and systemic cytokine levels, lung pathology, and regulation of receptors involved in the recognition of uric acid was studied. In addition, total protein and immunoglobulin M in lung lavage fluid and pulmonary wet/dry ratios were measured as markers of alveolar barrier dysfunction.

Results

Uric acid levels increased in ALI patients. In cardiac surgery patients, elevated levels correlated significantly with the pulmonary leakage index. Allopurinol or uricase treatment did not reduce ventilator-induced inflammation, IκB-α degradation, or up-regulation of NLRP3, Toll-like receptor 2, and Toll-like receptor 4 gene expression in mice. Alveolar barrier dysfunction was attenuated which was most pronounced in mice pre-treated with allopurinol: both treatment strategies reduced wet/dry ratio, allopurinol also lowered total protein and immunoglobulin M levels.

Conclusions

Local uric acid levels increase in patients with ALI. In mice, allopurinol and uricase attenuate ventilator-induced alveolar barrier dysfunction.  相似文献

Urea transporter UT-B has been proposed to be the major urea transporter in erythrocytes and kidney-descending vasa recta. The mouse UT-B cDNA was isolated and encodes a 384-amino acid urea-transporting glycoprotein expressed in kidney, spleen, brain, ureter, and urinary bladder. The mouse UT-B gene was analyzed, and UT-B knockout mice were generated by targeted gene deletion of exons 3-6. The survival and growth of UT-B knockout mice were not different from wild-type littermates. Urea permeability was 45-fold lower in erythrocytes from knockout mice than from those in wild-type mice. Daily urine output was 1.5-fold greater in UT-B- deficient mice (p < 0.01), and urine osmolality (U(osm)) was lower (1532 +/- 71 versus 2056 +/- 83 mosM/kg H(2)O, mean +/- S.E., p < 0.001). After 24 h of water deprivation, U(osm) (in mosM/kg H(2)O) was 2403 +/- 38 in UT-B null mice and 3438 +/- 98 in wild-type mice (p < 0.001). Plasma urea concentration (P(urea)) was 30% higher, and urine urea concentration (U(urea)) was 35% lower in knockout mice than in wild-type mice, resulting in a much lower U(urea)/P(urea) ratio (61 +/- 5 versus 124 +/- 9, p < 0.001). Thus, the capacity to concentrate urea in the urine is more severely impaired than the capacity to concentrate other solutes. Together with data showing a disproportionate reduction in the concentration of urea compared with salt in homogenized renal inner medullas of UT-B null mice, these data define a novel "urea-selective" urinary concentrating defect in UT-B null mice. The UT-B null mice generated for these studies should also be useful in establishing the role of facilitated urea transport in extrarenal organs expressing UT-B.  相似文献

To investigate the long-term effects of beer ingestion on plasma concentrations of purine bases (hypoxanthine, xanthine, and uric acid), ten healthy males ingested beer (15 ml/kg body weight) every evening for three months. Blood and 24-hour urine samples were collected in the morning on one day before and one, two, and three months after starting the experiment to determine the plasma concentrations and urinary excretion of uric acid, hypoxanthine, and xanthine. Plasma concentrations and urinary excretion of uric acid, hypoxanthine, and xanthine in five of the participants that did not regularly ingest beer at a quantity of more than 15 ml/kg body weight in a single day prior to the experiment were not increased during the experimental period. In contrast, plasma concentrations and urinary excretion of uric acid were increased in five participants who regularly ingested more than 15 ml/kg body weight of beer in a single day prior to the experiment, although hypoxanthine and xanthine levels were not significantly increased during the experimental period. In both groups, uric acid clearance and purine ingestion were not significantly different throughout the study. Our results suggest that the production of uric acid caused by ethanol ingestion from beer is a significant contributor to the increase in plasma uric acid concentration in patients that regularly consume more than 15 ml/kg body weight of beer each day. Therefore, patients with gout should be encouraged to refrain from drinking large amounts of beer on a daily basis.  相似文献

Drug-induced liver injury (DILI) is the leading cause of acute liver failure. Currently, no adequate predictive biomarkers for DILI are available. This study describes a translational approach using proteomic profiling for the identification of urinary proteins related to acute liver injury induced by acetaminophen (APAP). Mice were given a single intraperitoneal dose of APAP (0–350 mg/kg bw) followed by 24 h urine collection. Doses of ≥275 mg/kg bw APAP resulted in hepatic centrilobular necrosis and significantly elevated plasma alanine aminotransferase (ALT) values (p<0.0001). Proteomic profiling resulted in the identification of 12 differentially excreted proteins in urine of mice with acute liver injury (p<0.001), including superoxide dismutase 1 (SOD1), carbonic anhydrase 3 (CA3) and calmodulin (CaM), as novel biomarkers for APAP-induced liver injury. Urinary levels of SOD1 and CA3 increased with rising plasma ALT levels, but urinary CaM was already present in mice treated with high dose of APAP without elevated plasma ALT levels. Importantly, we showed in human urine after APAP intoxication the presence of SOD1 and CA3, whereas both proteins were absent in control urine samples. Urinary concentrations of CaM were significantly increased and correlated well with plasma APAP concentrations (r = 0.97; p<0.0001) in human APAP intoxicants, who did not present with elevated plasma ALT levels. In conclusion, using this urinary proteomics approach we demonstrate CA3, SOD1 and, most importantly, CaM as potential human biomarkers for APAP-induced liver injury.  相似文献

KL-6 is a pulmonary epithelial mucin more prominently expressed on the surface membrane of alveolar type II cells when these cells are proliferating, stimulated, and/or injured. We hypothesized that high levels of KL-6 in epithelial lining fluid and plasma would reflect the severity of lung injury in patients with acute lung injury (ALI). Epithelial lining fluid was obtained at onset (day 0) and day 1 of acute respiratory distress syndrome (ARDS)/ALI by bronchoscopic microsampling procedure in 35 patients. On day 0, KL-6 and albumin concentrations in epithelial lining fluid were significantly higher than in normal controls (P < 0.001), and the concentrations of KL-6 in epithelial lining fluid (P < 0.002) and in plasma (P < 0.0001) were higher in nonsurvivors than in survivors of ALI/ARDS. These observations were corroborated by the immunohistochemical localization of KL-6 protein expression in the lungs of nonsurvivors with ALI and KL-6 secretion from cultured human alveolar type II cells stimulated by proinflammatory cytokines. Because injury to distal lung epithelial cells, including alveolar type II cells, is important in the pathogenesis of ALI, the elevation of KL-6 concentrations in plasma and epithelial lining fluid could be valuable indicators for poor prognosis in clinical ALI.  相似文献

The formation of alpha(2)-macroglobulin (alpha(2)-M)/interleukin-8 (IL-8) complexes may influence the biological activity of IL-8 and the quantitative assessment of IL-8 activity. Therefore, in this study, concentrations of free IL-8 and IL-8 complexes with alpha(2)-M were measured in pulmonary edema fluid samples from patients with acute lung injury/acute respiratory distress syndrome (ALI/ARDS) and compared with control patients with hydrostatic pulmonary edema. Patients with ALI/ARDS had significantly higher concentrations of alpha(2)-M (P < 0.01) as well as alpha(2)-M/IL-8 complexes (P < 0.05). Because a substantial amount of IL-8 is complexed to alpha(2)-M, standard assays of free IL-8 may significantly underestimate the concentration of biologically active IL-8 in the distal air spaces of patients with ALI/ARDS. Furthermore, IL-8 bound to alpha(2)-M retained its biological activity, and this fraction of IL-8 was protected from proteolytic degradation. Thus complex formation may modulate the acute inflammatory process in the lung.  相似文献

A pink coating on the inner surface of plastic urinary tubing, which gave the impression that the urine was pink, had frequently been noted 4 to 24 hours following gastric partitioning by means of a stapler in morbidly obese patients. A study was therefore done in 187 such patients as well as in 14 patients of normal weight who had undergone abdominal surgery of comparable magnitude. Postoperatively "pink urine" was observed in 32% of the obese patients but in none of the nonobese patients; however, a pink sediment remained following centrifugation of urine collected postoperatively from all the obese patients. Microscopy of this sediment showed crystals of uric acid dihydrate; these were infrequent in the preoperative specimens but present in high concentration in the postoperative specimens, particularly those of "pink urine". X-ray diffraction analysis confirmed the nature of the crystals. Preoperatively the obese patients had high-normal serum levels of uric acid. Postoperatively in all the groups of patients the serum levels of uric acid decreased while the urine levels and the urinary clearance of uric acid increased; the last two values, however, were significantly greater, both preoperatively and postoperatively, in those who were morbidly obese. Compared with the patients who did not have "pink urine" the patients with "pink urine" were significantly more obese and had a significantly lower postoperative urine pH. The latter also had a marked postoperative increase in urine osmolality and were the only patients to have a significant postoperative decrease in urine output. Thus, the pink colour of this group''s urine was attributed to precipitation of uric acid crystals, fostered by a decrease in pH and an increase in concentration of the urine.  相似文献

Acute lung injury (ALI) is a severe illness with excess mortality and no specific therapy. In its early exudative phase, neutrophil activation and accumulation in the lung lead to hypoxemia, widespread tissue damage, and respiratory failure. In clinical trials, inhibition of proinflammatory mediators has not proven effective. In this study, we pursued a new investigative strategy that emphasizes mediators promoting resolution from lung injury. A new spontaneously resolving experimental murine model of ALI from acid aspiration was developed to identify endogenous proresolving mechanisms. ALI increased cyclooxygenase 2 (COX-2) expression in murine lung. Selective pharmacologic inhibition or gene disruption of COX-2 blocked resolution of ALI. COX-2-derived products increased levels of the proresolving lipid mediators lipoxin A4 (LXA4) and, in the presence of aspirin, 15-epi-LXA4. Both LXA4 and 15-epi-LXA4 interact with the LXA4 receptor (ALX) to mediate anti-inflammatory actions. ALX expression was markedly induced by acid injury and transgenic mice with increased ALX expression displayed dramatic protection from ALI. Together, these findings indicate a protective role in ALI for COX-2-derived mediators, in part via enhanced lipoxin signaling, and carry potential therapeutic implications for this devastating clinical disorder.  相似文献

The steadily increasing incidence of kidney injury is a significant threat to human health. The current tools available for the early detection of kidney injury, however, have limited sensitivity or specificity. Thus, the development of novel biomarkers to detect early kidney injury is of high importance. Employing mouse renal ischemia-reperfusion and streptozotocin (STZ)-induced renal injury as acute and chronic kidney injury model, respectively, we assessed the alteration of microRNA (miRNA) in mouse urine, serum and kidney tissue by TaqMan probe-based qRT-PCR assay. Our results demonstrated that kidney-enriched microRNA-10a (miR-10a) and microRNA-30d (miR-30d) were readily detected in mouse urine and the levels of urinary miR-10a and miR-30d were positively correlated with the degree of kidney injury induced by renal ischemia-reperfusion or STZ diabetes. In contrast, no such alteration of miR-10a and miR-30d levels was observed in mouse serum after kidney injury. Compared with the blood urea nitrogen (BUN) assay, the test for urinary miR-10a and miR-30d levels was more sensitive for the detection of acute kidney injury. Furthermore, the substantial elevation of the urinary miR-10a and miR-30d levels was also observed in focal segmental glomerulosclerosis (FSGS) patients compared to healthy donors. In conclusion, the present study collectively demonstrates that urinary miR-10a and miR-30d represent a novel noninvasive, sensitive, specific and potentially high-throughput method for detecting renal injury.  相似文献

Measurements of cyclo(His-Pro) levels in human urine were carried out by specific radioimmunoassay. Cyclo(His-Pro)-like immunoreactivity in Human urine was found to be immunologically, pharmacologically, and physico-chemically identical to that of synthetic cyclo(His-Pro). The concentration of urinary cyclo(His-Pro) in 24-h collection was 1133.8 +/- 122.5 nmol/L, with a range of 606 to 1865 nmol/L. The daily excretion rate of cyclo(His-Pro) was 1812 +/- 248 nmol cyclo(His-Pro)/g creatinine, or 1814 +/- 199 nmol cyclo(His-Pro/day.  相似文献
