The present study is aimed to identify genetic variability between two species of Amaranthus viz., A. caudatus and A. hybridus subsp. cruentus, two economically important species, cultivated mainly for grain production. Karyomorphological studies in Amaranthus are scarce, probably due to higher number of small sized chromosomes. Karyomorphological studies were conducted using mitotic squash preparation of young healthy root tips. Karyological parameters and karyotypic formula were established using various software programs and tabulated the karyomorphometric and asymmetry indices viz., Disparity index, Variation coefficient, Total forma percentage, Karyotype asymmetry index, Syi index, Rec index, Interchromosomal and Intrachromosomal asymmetry index and Degree of asymmetry of karyotypes. The mitotic chromosome number observed for A. caudatus was 2n = 32 with a gametic number n = 16 and A. hybridus subsp. cruentus was 2n = 34 with a gametic number n = 17. In A. caudatus the chromosome length during somatic metaphase ranged from 0.8698 to 1.7722 μm with a total length of 39.1412 μm. In A. hybridus subsp. cruentus the length of chromosome ranged from 0.7756 to 1.9421 μm with a total length of 44.9922 μm. Various karyomorphometry and asymmetry indices analyzed revealed the extend of interspecific variation and their evolutionary status.  相似文献

Allopolyploidy and homoeologous recombination are two important processes in reshaping genomes and generating evolutionary novelties. Newly formed allopolyploids usually display chromosomal perturbations as a result of pairing errors at meiosis. To understand mechanisms of stabilization of allopolyploid species derived from distant chromosome bases, we investigated mitotic stability of a synthetic Cucumis allotetraploid species in relation to meiosis chromosome behavior. The Cucumis × hytivus is an allotetraploid synthesized from interspecific hybridization between cucumber (Cucumis sativus, 2n = 14) and its wild relative Cucumis hystrix (2n = 24) followed by spontaneous chromosome doubling. In the present study, we analyzed the wild parent C. hystrix and the latest generation of C. hytivus using GISH (genomic in situ hybridization) and cross-species FISH (fluorescence in situ hybridization). The karyotype of C. hystrix was constructed with two methods using cucumber fosmid clones and repetitive sequences. Using repeat-element probe mix in two successive hybridizations allowed for routine identification of all 19 homoeologous chromosomes of allotetraploid C. hytivus. No aneuploids were identified in any C. hytivus individuals that were characterized, and no large-scale chromosomal rearrangements were identified in this synthetic allotetraploid. Meiotic irregularities, such as homoeologous pairing, were frequently observed, resulting in univalent and intergenomic multivalent formation. The relatively stable chromosome structure of the synthetic Cucumis allotetraploid may be explained by more deleterious chromosomal viable gametes compared with other allopolyploids. The knowledge of genetic and genomic information of Cucumis allotetraploid species could provide novel insights into the establishment of allopolyploids with different chromosome bases.  相似文献

Gossypium hirsutum L. is a widely cultivated species characterized by its high yield and wide environmental adaptability, while Gossypium barbadense is well known for its superior fiber quality. In the present report, we, for the first time, developed G. hirsutum chromosome segment introgression lines (ILs) in a G. barbadense background (GhILs_Gb) and genetically dissected the inheritance of lint yield and fiber quality of G. hirsutum in G. barbadense background. The GhILs_Gb contains introgressed segments spanning 4121.20 cM, which represents 82.20% of the tetraploid cotton genome, with an average length of 18.65 cM. A total of 39 quantitative trait loci (QTLs) for six traits are identified in this IL population planted in Xinjiang. Four QTL clusters are detected. Of them, however, three clusters have deleterious effects on fiber length and strength and boll weight, and only one cluster on Chr. D9 can be used in marker-assisted selection (MAS) to increase lint percentage and decrease micronaire value in G. barbadense. QTL mapping showed that most of yield-related QTLs detected have positive effects and increase lint yield in G. barbadense, while most of fiber quality-related QTLs have deleterious effects except for micronaire. It suggested that G. hirsutum evolved to have a high lint yield. Several lines improved in lint percentage and boll size in G. barbadense by introgressed one fragment of G. hirsutum have been developed from the GhILs_Gb. The ILs developed, and the analyses presented here will enhance the understanding of the genetics of lint yield and fiber quality in G. hirsutum and facilitate further molecular breeding to improve lint yield in G. barbadense.  相似文献

Diploid and triploid hybrid females of Cobitis as a rule produce unreduced eggs which mainly develop gynogenetically, but some of the eggs incorporate sperm genome and develop into triploids and tetraploids, respectively. Here, we observed for the first time the meiotic chromosomes in the germinal vesicles (GVs) of mature oocytes of three diploid C. taenia (2n = 48) and 20 allopolyploid females of Cobitis (18 triploid 3n = 74 and 2 tetraploid 4n = 99). The majority of GVs in diploid, triploid and tetraploid females contained 24, 74 and 96 or 99 bivalents, respectively. These results directly indicated premeiotic endomitosis as a mechanism underlying the formation of unreduced eggs in allopolyploid females of Cobitis.  相似文献

In Southampton Water, UK, the recent (c. 150 years ago) interspecific hybridisation between Spartina alterniflora (2n = 6x = 62; A-genome) and S. maritima (2n = 6x = 60; M-genome) gave rise to the homoploid hybrid (S. × townsendii, 2n = 6x = 62), and subsequently to the invasive allododecaploid species S. anglica (2n = 12x = 120–124) that has since spread worldwide. To address the question of dynamics of mixed ploidy populations involving these plants, we analysed several Spartina populations (fifty one individuals) in Southern England, UK, one of which was the presumed place of origin of the homoploid hybrid (Hythe). Using a combination of flow cytometry and ribosomal DNA (rDNA) genotyping we were able to identify the genomic composition and ploidy level of each individual analysed. The data show that the homoploid hybrid still dominates the population at Hythe (82 % of individuals collected in that locality) since its origin in the nineteenth century. We also identified S. × townsendii for the first time on Hayling Island (66 % individuals), indicating dispersal beyond its likely origin. The fertile allododecaploid S. anglica was mainly found in populations outside the initial hybridisation site, on Hayling Island and at Eling Marchwood. Quantification of the rDNA contributions from each parental genome showed that the ratios were mostly balanced in S. × townsendii. However, two (3 %) S. anglica individuals analysed have lost nearly all M-genome homeologs, indicating extensive repeat loss. Such variation indicates that despite the presumed single allopolyploid origin of S. anglica and genetic uniformity at other loci, it has undergone substantial changes at the rDNA loci following genome duplication.  相似文献

Satellite DNA repeats (or satDNA) are fast-evolving sequences usually associated with condensed heterochromatin. To test whether the chromosomal organisation of centromeric and non-centromeric satDNA differs in species with holocentric chromosomes, we identified and characterised the major satDNA families in the holocentric Cyperaceae species Rhynchospora ciliata (2n = 10), R. globosa (2n = 50) and R. tenuis (2n = 2x = 4 and 2n = 4x = 8). While conserved centromeric repeats (present in R. ciliata and R. tenuis) revealed linear signals at both chromatids, non-centromeric, species-specific satDNAs formed distinct clusters along the chromosomes. Colocalisation of both repeat types resulted in a ladder-like hybridisation pattern at mitotic chromosomes. In interphase, the centromeric satDNA was dispersed while non-centromeric satDNA clustered and partly colocalised to chromocentres. Despite the banding-like hybridisation patterns of the clustered satDNA, the identification of chromosome pairs was impaired due to the irregular hybridisation patterns of the homologues in R. tenuis and R. ciliata. These differences are probably caused by restricted or impaired meiotic recombination as reported for R. tenuis, or alternatively by complex chromosome rearrangements or unequal condensation of homologous metaphase chromosomes. Thus, holocentricity influences the chromosomal organisation leading to differences in the distribution patterns and condensation dynamics of centromeric and non-centromeric satDNA.  相似文献

Triticum timopheevii (2n = 4x = 28, GGAtAt) is a tetraploid wheat formerly cultivated in western Georgia. The natural allopolyploid Triticum zhukovskyi is a hexaploid taxon originated from hybridization of T. timopheevii with cultivated einkorn T. monococcum (2n = 2x = 14, AmAm). Karyotypically T. timopheevii and T. zhukovskyi differ from other tetraploid and hexaploid wheats and were assigned to the section Timopheevii of the genus Triticum L. Triticum timopheevii and T. zhukovskyi are resistant to many fungal diseases and therefore could potentially be utilized for wheat improvement. We were aiming to precisely identify all T. timopheevii chromosomes and to trace the evolution of T. zhukovskyi. For this, we developed a set of molecular cytogenetic landmarks based on eleven DNA probes. Each chromosome can now be characterized by two to eight probes. The pTa-535 sequence allows the identification of all At-genome chromosomes, whereas G-genome and some At-genome chromosomes can be identified using (GAA/CTT) n and pSc119.2 probes. The probes pAesp_SAT86, pAs1, Spelt-1, Spelt-52 and 5S and 45S rDNA can be applied as additional markers to discriminate particular chromosomes or chromosomal regions. The distribution of (GAA/CTT) n , pTa-535 and pSc119.2 DNA probes on T. timopheevii chromosomes is distinct from other tetraploid wheats and can therefore be used to track individual chromosomes in introgression programs. Our study confirms the origin of T. zhukovskyi from hybridization of T. timopheevii with T. monococcum; however, we show that the emergence was accompanied by changes involving mostly At-genome chromosomes. This may be due to the presence of two closely related A-genomes in the T. zhukovskyi karyotype.  相似文献

Genotypes with recombination events in the Triticum ventricosum introgression on chromosome 7D allowed to fine-map resistance gene Pch1, the main source of eyespot resistance in European winter wheat cultivars.

Abstract

Eyespot (also called Strawbreaker) is a common and serious fungal disease of winter wheat caused by the necrotrophic fungi Oculimacula yallundae and Oculimacula acuformis (former name Pseudocercosporella herpotrichoides). A genome-wide association study (GWAS) for eyespot was performed with 732 microsatellite markers (SSR) and 7761 mapped SNP markers derived from the 90 K iSELECT wheat array using a panel of 168 European winter wheat varieties as well as three spring wheat varieties and phenotypic evaluation of eyespot in field tests in three environments. Best linear unbiased estimations (BLUEs) were calculated across all trials and ranged from 1.20 (most resistant) to 5.73 (most susceptible) with an average value of 4.24 and a heritability of H 2 = 0.91. A total of 108 SSR and 235 SNP marker–trait associations (MTAs) were identified by considering associations with a ?log10 (P value) ≥3.0. Significant MTAs for eyespot-score BLUEs were found on chromosomes 1D, 2A, 2D, 3D, 5A, 5D, 6A, 7A and 7D for the SSR markers and chromosomes 1B, 2A, 2B, 2D, 3B and 7D for the SNP markers. For 18 varieties (10.5%), a highly resistant phenotype was detected that was linked to the presence of the resistance gene Pch1 on chromosome 7D. The identification of genotypes with recombination events in the introgressed genomic segment from Triticum ventricosum harboring the Pch1 resistance gene on chromosome 7DL allowed the fine-mapping of this gene using additional SNP markers and a potential candidate gene Traes_7DL_973A33763 coding for a CC-NBS-LRR class protein was identified.

We report the development and characterization of Brassica oleracea - nigra monosomic alien addition lines (MAALs) to dissect the Brassica B genome.

Abstract

Brassica nigra (2n = 16, BB) represents the diploid Brassica B genome which carries many useful genes and traits for breeding but received limited studies. To dissect the B genome from B. nigra, the triploid F1 hybrid (2n = 26, CCB) obtained previously from the cross B. oleracea var. alboglabra (2n = 18, CC) × B. nigra was used as the maternal parent and backcrossed successively to parental B. oleracea. The progenies in BC1 to BC3 generations were analyzed by the methods of FISH and SSR markers to screen the monosomic alien addition lines (MAALs) with each of eight different B-genome chromosomes added to C genome (2n = 19, CC + 1B1?8), and seven different MAALs were established, except for the one with chromosome B2 which existed in one triple addition. Most of these MAALs were distinguishable morphologically from each other, as they expressed the characters from B. nigra differently and at variable extents. The alien chromosome remained unpaired as a univalent in 86.24% pollen mother cells at diakinesis or metaphase I, and formed a trivalent with two C-genome chromosomes in 13.76% cells. Transmission frequency of all the added chromosomes was far higher through the ovules (averagely 14.40%) than the pollen (2.64%). The B1, B4 and B5 chromosomes were transmitted by female at much higher rates (22.38–30.00%) than the other four (B3, B6, B7, B8) (5.04–8.42%). The MAALs should be valuable for exploiting the genome structure and evolution of B. nigra.

Polyploid Prunus spinosa (2n = 4×) and P. insititia (2n = 6×) represent enormous genetic potential in Central Europe, which can be exploited in breeding programmes. In Hungary, 17 cultivar candidates were selected from wild-growing populations including 10 P. spinosa, 4 P. insititia and three P. spinosa × P. domestica hybrids (2n = 5×). Their taxonomic classification was based on their phenotypic characteristics. Six simple sequence repeats (SSRs) and the multiallelic S-locus genotyping were used to characterize genetic variability and reliable identification of the tested accessions. A total of 98 SSR alleles were identified, which presents 19.5 average allele number per locus, and each of the 17 genotypes could be discriminated based on unique SSR fingerprints. A total of 23 S-RNase alleles were identified. The complete and partial S-genotype was determined for 8 and 9 accessions, respectively. The identification of a cross-incompatible pair of cultivar candidates and several semi-compatible combinations help maximize fruit set in commercial orchards. Our results indicate that the S-allele pools of wild-growing P. spinosa and P. insititia are overlapping in Hungary. A phylogenetic and principal component analysis confirmed the high level of diversity and genetic differentiation present within the analysed genotypes and helped clarify doubtful taxonomic identities. Our data confirm that S-locus genotyping is suitable for diversity studies in polyploid Prunus species. The analysed accessions represent huge genetic potential that can be exploited in commercial cultivation.  相似文献

Analyzing chromosomal traits is one of the pragmatic ways to establish evolutionary and genetic database of plants that has complicated phylogenetic system. There are some conflicts on the exact phylogeny and evolutionary pathway of Lilium, and section martagon is the most complicated part among them. In this study, chromosomal traits of martagon lily species are described. All martagon lilies were analyzed with FISH (Fluorescence in situ hybridization) technique, followed by detailed karyotyping. Each species showed 2n = 2x = 24 of chromosome complement. Size of chromosomes ranged from 451.04 to 680.06 µm. 5S and 45S ribosomal DNA, general molecular markers in modern evolutionary research were used as probe in this study. Variation in rDNA loci and chromosome translocation were observed in Lilium hansonii; the highest number of 45S rDNA loci was detected in Lilium hansonii, followed by other martagon lilies, in similar locations but with differences, and chromosome translocation was observed from one individual of Lilium hansonii. Additionally, Lilium tsingtauense from Jeju-do Island, Korea was detected with two extra chromosomes. These kind of genetic variations through karyotyping indicate ongoing genetic variations in martagon lilies. In this study, precise analysis of chromosome traits in Lilium species belonging to section martagonperformed to contribute to better comprehension of the evolutionary pathway and establishment of cytogenetic database for further plant breeding research.  相似文献

The monophyletic duckweeds comprising five genera within the monocot order Alismatales are neotenic, free-floating, aquatic organisms with fast vegetative propagation. Some species are considered for efficient biomass production, for life stock feeding, and for (simultaneous) wastewater phytoremediation. The ancestral genus Spirodela consists of only two species, Spirodela polyrhiza and Spirodela intermedia, both with a similar small genome (~160 Mbp/1C). Reference genome drafts and a physical map of 96 BACs on the 20 chromosome pairs of S. polyrhiza strain 7498 are available and provide useful tools for further evolutionary studies within and between duckweed genera. Here we applied sequential comparative multicolor fluorescence in situ hybridization (mcFISH) to address homeologous chromosomes in S. intermedia (2n = 36), to detect chromosome rearrangements between both species and to elucidate the mechanisms which may have led to the chromosome number alteration after their evolutionary separation. Ten chromosome pairs proved to be conserved between S. polyrhiza and S. intermedia, the remaining ones experienced, depending on the assumed direction of evolution, translocations, inversion, and fissions, respectively. These results represent a first step to unravel karyotype evolution among duckweeds and are anchor points for future genome assembly of S. intermedia.  相似文献

Despite possessing related ancestral genomes, hexaploid wheat behaves as a diploid during meiosis. The wheat Ph1 locus promotes accurate synapsis and crossover of homologous chromosomes. Interspecific hybrids between wheat and wild relatives are exploited by breeders to introgress important traits from wild relatives into wheat, although in hybrids between hexaploid wheat and wild relatives, which possess only homoeologues, crossovers do not take place during meiosis at metaphase I. However, in hybrids between Ph1 deletion mutants and wild relatives, crossovers do take place. A single Ph1 deletion (ph1b) mutant has been exploited for the last 40 years for this activity. We show here that chemically induced mutant lines, selected for a mutation in TaZIP4-B2 within the Ph1 locus, exhibit high levels of homoeologous crossovers when crossed with wild relatives. Tazip4-B2 mutant lines may be more stable over multiple generations, as multivalents causing accumulation of chromosome translocations are less frequent. Exploitation of such Tazip4-B2 mutants, rather than mutants with whole Ph1 locus deletions, may therefore improve introgression of wild relative chromosome segments into wheat.  相似文献

A crossover (CO) and its cytological signature, the chiasma, are major features of eukaryotic meiosis. The formation of at least one CO/chiasma between homologous chromosome pairs is essential for accurate chromosome segregation at the first meiotic division and genetic recombination. Polyploid organisms with multiple sets of homoeologous chromosomes have evolved additional mechanisms for the regulation of CO/chiasma. In hexaploid wheat (2n = 6× = 42), this is accomplished by pairing homoeologous (Ph) genes, with Ph1 having the strongest effect on suppressing homoeologous recombination and homoeologous COs. In this study, we observed homoeologous COs between chromosome 5Mg of Aegilops geniculata and 5D of wheat in plants where Ph1 was fully active, indicating that chromosome 5Mg harbors a homoeologous recombination promoter factor(s). Further cytogenetic analysis, with different 5Mg/5D recombinants, showed that the homoeologous recombination promoting factor(s) may be located in proximal regions of 5Mg. In addition, we observed a higher frequency of homoeologous COs in the pericentromeric region between chromosome combination of rec5Mg#2S·5Mg#2L and 5D compared to 5Mg#1/5D, which may be caused by a small terminal region of 5DL homology present in chromosome rec5Mg#2. The genetic stocks reported here will be useful for analyzing the mechanism of Ph1 action and the nature of homoeologous COs.  相似文献

Predicting resistance or susceptibility to infectious diseases on the basis of the genotypes of animals regarding disease or immune related genes could be important in animal production. We evaluated the potential influence of the genetic polymorphisms of four immune related genes, porcine beta defensin 4, interferon-induced GTP-binding protein Mx1, natural resistance-associated macrophage protein 1 (Nramp1), and Toll-like receptor 2 (TLR2) on post-weaning piglet survivability in farms. We selected a single SNP that satisfied the criteria of non-synonymous substitutions and the minor allele frequency >0.1 from each gene, and performed PCR–RFLP. Distributions of allele and genotype frequencies of the SNPs were, in general, significantly different among the five breeds (Berkshire, Yorkshire, Duroc, Landrace, and Korean native pigs. Initially, 371 randomly collected Yorkshire × Landrace F1 piglets consisting of post-weaning survival (n = 185) and non-survival groups (n = 186) were genotyped for the selected SNPs. For the Nramp1 and TLR2 SNPs, genotype frequencies were significantly different between the two groups (P < 0.05). To confirm the results, additional animals that were collected in a different time-period were genotyped for the Nramp1 (n = 390) and TLR2 (n = 240) SNPs. The results using the combined samples (n = 761) were consistent with the initial analysis (P < 0.01), suggesting that the genetic polymorphisms of Nramp1 and TLR2 affect post-weaning piglet survivability. The relative risks, i.e. odds ratios, between the beneficial and non-beneficial genotypes to piglet survivability were 4.88 and 29.65 for the Nramp1 and TLR2 SNPs, respectively.  相似文献

Allocation of the chromosome 2D of Ae. tauschii in triticale background resulted in changes of its organization, what is related to varied expression of genes determining agronomically important traits.

Abstract

Monosomic alien addition lines (MAALs) are crucial for transfer of genes from wild relatives into cultivated varieties. This kind of genetic stocks is used for physical mapping of specific chromosomes and analyzing alien genes expression. The main aim of our study is to improve hexaploid triticale by transferring D-genome chromatin from Aegilops tauschii × Secale cereale (2n = 4x = 28, DDRR). In this paper, we demonstrate the molecular cytogenetics analysis and SSR markers screening combined with phenotype analysis and evaluation of powdery mildew infection of triticale monosomic addition lines carrying chromosome 2D of Ae. tauschii. We confirmed the inheritance of chromosome 2D from the BC2F4 to the BC2F6 generation of triticale hybrids. Moreover, we unveiled a high variable region on the short arm of chromosome 2D, where chromosome rearrangements were mapped. These events had direct influence on plant height of hybrids what might be connected with changes at Rht8 loci. We obtained 20 semi-dwarf plants of BC2F6 generation carrying 2D chromosome with the powdery mildew resistance, without changes in spike morphology, which can be used in the triticale breeding programs.

A new species of Caryospora Léger, 1904 (Apicomplexa: Eimeriidae), C. durelli n. sp., is described from the endangered Round Island boa Casarea dussumieri (Schlegel) (Serpentes: Bolyeridae) from Round Island, Mauritius. Six of 11 hosts were infected. Oöcysts are spherical to subspherical, 19.2 × 18.2 (17.5–21 × 16–21) μm, n = 20, and have a shape index (mean length/mean width) of 1.05 (1.02–1.09). The bi-layered wall is composed of an outer layer of c.0.6 μm thick and an inner layer of c.0.4 μm thick. A micropyle, oöcyst residuum and polar granule are absent. Sporocysts are ellipsoidal, 14.7 × 11.0 (13–16 × 9.5–11.5) μm, n = 20, and have a shape index of 1.33. Both Stieda and substieda bodies are present. The sporocyst residuum measures c.12 × 4.5 μm, is surrounded by sporozoites and composed of numerous granules. Refractile bodies are present but not clearly visible. This is the first coccidian parasite reported from the family Bolyeridae and the first species of Caryospora reported from the Mascarenes. Conservation issues concerning parasites of endangered host species are discussed.  相似文献

Insertions/deletions (INDELs), a type of abundant length polymorphisms in the plant genomes, combine the characteristics of both simple sequence repeats (SSRs) and single-nucleotide polymorphisms (SNP), and thus can be developed as desired molecular markers for genetic studies and crop breeding. There has been no large-scale characterization of INDELs variations in Brassica napus yet. In this study, we identified a total of 538,691 INDELs in size range of 1–10 bp by aligning whole-genome re-sequencing data of 23 B. napus inbred lines (ILs) to the B. napus genome sequence of ‘Darmor-bzh.’ Of these, 104,190 INDELs were uniquely mapped on the pseudochromosomes of the reference genome. A set of 595 unique INDELs of 2–5 bp in length was selected for experimental validation in the 23 ILs. Of these INDELs, 530 (89.01 %) produced a single PCR product and were single locus. A total of 523 (87.9 %) INDELs were found polymorphic among the 23 ILs. A genetic linkage map containing 108 single-locus INDELs and 89 anchor SSR markers was constructed using 188 recombinant ILs. The majority of INDELs markers on the linkage map showed consistency with the pseudochromosomes of the B. napus cultivar ‘Darmor-bzh.’ The INDELs variations and markers reported here will be valuable resources in future for genetic studies and molecular breeding in oilseed rape.  相似文献

Leymus mollis (Trin.) Pilger (NsNsXmXm, 2n = 28), a wild relative of common wheat, possesses many potentially valuable traits for wheat breeding, i.e., strong and short stems, long spikes with numerous spikelets, tolerance to drought and cold, and resistance to many fungal and bacterial diseases. In this study, we hybridized a wheat–L. mollis triple substitution line 05DM6 × Triticum aestivum L. cv. 7182 to obtain DM45, a single chromosome substitution line. Cytological studies demonstrated that DM45 had a chromosome karyotype of 2n = 42 = 21II. Genomic in situ hybridization analysis indicated that DM45 had a pair of Ns chromosomes from L. mollis. Analysis with DNA markers, i.e., two simple sequence repeats (Xgdm111 and Xgdm126) and two expressed sequence tag-sequence tagged sites (CD453004 and BE443796), showed that the wheat 1Ds chromosome were substituted with a pair of 1Ns chromosomes from L. mollis in DM45. Sodium dodecyl sulfate-polyacrylamide gel electrophoresis suggested that DM45 possessed Ns genome-specific bands in the low and high molecular weight glutenin subunit regions, whereas it lacked one glutenin subunit translated from genes on chromosome 1D, thereby confirming that DM45 was a wheat–L. mollis 1Ns#1 (1D) disomic substitution line. Agronomic trait evaluations showed that DM45 was much improved in terms of the 1000-grain weight and the protein and glutenin contents of its seeds, as well as having more florets and spikelets compared with its relative, common wheat variety 7182. The substitution line DM45 could be used as a novel germplasm in wheat genetic and breeding programs.  相似文献
