The kinetic model of toluene decomposition in nonequilibrium low-temperature plasma generated by a pulse-periodic discharge operating in a mixture of nitrogen and oxygen is developed. The results of numerical simulation of plasma-chemical conversion of toluene are presented; the main processes responsible for C6H5CH3 decomposition are identified; the contribution of each process to total removal of toluene is determined; and the intermediate and final products of C6H5CH3 decomposition are identified. It was shown that toluene in pure nitrogen is mostly decomposed in its reactions with metastable N2(A3?? u + ) and N2(a??1?? u ? ) molecules. In the presence of oxygen, in the N2 : O2 gas mixture, the largest contribution to C6H5CH3 removal is made by the hydroxyl radical OH which is generated in this mixture exclusively due to plasma-chemical reactions between toluene and oxygen decomposition products. Numerical simulation showed the existence of an optimum oxygen concentration in the mixture, at which toluene removal is maximum at a fixed energy deposition.  相似文献

Excitation of a microwave discharge at the end of a cylindrical electrode in nitrogen at a pressure of 1 Torr and incident powers of 60–140 W was investigated experimentally by using K-008 and K-011 video cameras and analyzing oscillograms of discharge emission. The times during which the discharge is established in the radial and axial directions are found to be on the order of 10−4 and 10−2 s, respectively. The results obtained are analyzed using one-dimensional simulations of a discharge in nitrogen in a quasistatic approximation. The kinetic scheme includes 50 processes involving electrons, ions, and excited molecules and atoms. The time evolution of the concentrations of molecular nitrogen in the N2(C 3II u ) and N2(B 3II g ) states, responsible for the recorded discharge emission, is compared with the experimental data.  相似文献

Results are presented from experimental and theoretical studies of the optical characteristics and parameters of the plasma of an atmospheric-pressure barrier discharge excited in a HgBr2: N2: He mixture, which was used as the working medium of a small-size (with a radiation area of 8 cm2) exciplex gas-discharge radiation source. The mean radiation power of 87 mW was achieved at the radiation wavelength λmax = 502 nm. The electron energy distribution function, the transport characteristics, the specific energy lost in the processes involving electrons, the electron temperature and density, and the rate constants of elastic and inelastic electron scattering by the components of the working mixture were calculated as functions of the reduced field E/N. The plasma of a discharge excited in a HgBr2: N2: He mixture can be used as the working medium of a small-size blue-green radiation source. Such a source can find application in biotechnology, photonics, and medicine and can also be used to manufacture gas-discharge display panels.  相似文献

The emission from the plasma of a steady-state electric discharge in a He/H2O mixture in the wavelength range 130–670 nm is investigated. It is shown that, at a water vapor partial pressure of P=2.0–2.5 kPa, the discharge mainly emits within the range 306–315 nm. The emission consists of an OH (A-X; 0-0) 307.4-nm narrow peak and a broad band with a maximum at λmax=309.1 nm. As the partial pressure of water vapor decreases to 50–150 Pa, VUV emission at wavelengths of λ=186, 180, and 157 nm becomes dominant. In the visible region, Hα 656.3-nm and Hβ 486.1-nm spectral lines and HeI lines in the range 447.1–667.8 nm, which are of interest for diagnosing the plasma, prevail. The intensities of the main bands and spectral lines are determined as functions of the helium partial pressure and discharge current.  相似文献

The current dynamics in a non-self-sustained glow discharge in atmospheric-pressure nitrogen (with a small admixture of oxygen) at cryogenic and room temperatures is studied experimentally and theoretically. For the first time, the theoretical model incorporates the processes of the decomposition of O 2 + ·N2 and NO+·N2 complex ions in collisions with vibrationally excited nitrogen molecules and the associative ionization reactions with the participation of excited nitrogen and oxygen atoms. The computation results agree quite satisfactorily with the experimental data on the current dynamics and the duration of the stable phase of a non-self-sustained discharge for various applied voltages. Even a small (0.01%) oxygen admixture is found to greatly affect the dynamics of the ion composition and the characteristic duration of the stable phase of a non-self-sustained discharge in atmospheric-pressure nitrogen.  相似文献

Results are presented from experimental studies of breakdown and the initial stage of a discharge in a long tube (with an interelectrode distance of 40 cm and a diameter of 2.8 cm) at a pressure of ~1 Torr and pulse discharge current of ~10 mA. Breakdown was produced by positive voltage pulses with a linearly growing leading edge with a steepness of dU/dt ~ 106–108 V/s. The time interval between pulses was varied from τ = 0.5 ms to 1 s, the pulse duration being 10 ms. The work was aimed at studying the memory effect of the discharge gap, namely, the influence of the previous pulse on the breakdown characteristics of the next one. In the experiments, the breakdown voltage was measured at different values of dU/dt and τ. It was found that the memory effect was absent at τ ~ 1 s. At the same time, an increase in the breakdown voltage with increasing dU/dt was observed. In the range of τ ≈ 50–200 ms, the breakdown voltage also did not depend on τ, but the memory effect took place. The memory effect in this case consisted in that the breakdown voltage decreased with increasing dU/dt, so that, at dU/dt ~ 107 V/s, the breakdown voltage was two times lower than in the case of τ ~ 1 s. For τ ~ 1–10 ms, the memory effect manifested itself in that the breakdown voltage depended on τ: it could either decrease (the “normal” effect) or increase (the “anomalous” effect) with increasing τ. Breakdown of the discharge gap was preceded by the propagation of an ionization wave, except for the case of small τ values in the domain of existence of the anomalous effect. Estimates allowing one to qualitatively explain the experimental results are made.  相似文献

The gas temperature in an electrode microwave discharge in hydrogen at pressures of 1–8 torr and input powers of 20–90 W is determined from the relative intensities of the rotational lines of the electronically excited molecules of the Fulcher α system of molecular hydrogen. It is found that the gas temperature in the discharge is no higher than 800 K over the entire range of the experimental conditions under study. For this reason, plasma resonance cannot be regarded as a factor determining the physical processes in the discharge over the entire pressure range. Since the discharge unit is a nonuniform gas-dynamic system (the gas is fed through a small hole into a chamber of limited size), there is a possibility of generating vortex flows that intensively mix the gas. This results in a uniform distribution of the gas temperature throughout the entire volume of the spherical plasma structure produced in the experiment.  相似文献

Conditions for the simultaneous production of argon and xenon chlorides and excited nitrogen molecules in a longitudinal dc glow discharge in Ar/Cl2/air, Xe/Cl2/air, and Ar/Xe/Cl2/air mixtures are studied. The electrical parameters of the plasma and its optical characteristics in the 130-to 350-nm wavelength range are investigated. It is shown that a small admixture of air added to argon or xenon leads to the production of excited nitrogen molecules, whose decay is accompanied by the molecular band emission in the range Δλ=176–271 nm. The conditions for simultaneous emission of the ArCl(B-X), XeCl(B-X), and nitrogen molecular bands are determined.  相似文献

A pulse-periodic 2.45-GHz electron-cyclotron resonance plasma source on the basis of a permanent- magnet mirror trap has been constructed and tested. Variations in the discharge parameters and the electron temperature of argon plasma have been investigated in the argon pressure range of 1 × 10–4 to 4 × 10–3 Torr at a net pulsed input microwave power of up to 600 W. The plasma electron temperature in the above ranges of gas pressures and input powers has been measured by a Langmuir probe and determined using optical emission spectroscopy (OES) from the intensity ratios of spectral lines. The OES results agree qualitatively and quantitatively with the data obtained using the double probe.  相似文献

The structure of a discharge induced by a coaxial microwave plasmatron with a gas-supply channel in the inner electrode of a coaxial waveguide is investigated. A plasmatron with a power of up to 10 W operates at a frequency of 10 GHz. Depending on the operation regime, the discharge takes either a filament or torch form. A plasma filament arises at low flow rates of the working gas (argon) and occurs at the border of the potential core of the gas jet. A torch discharge occurs at high flow rates and has the form of a hollow cone. In both cases, the discharge arises in the potential core of the gas jet and does not spread beyond it. The distribution of the microwave field in the discharge plasma is determined.  相似文献

The characteristics of the initial stage of the formation of the positive column of a glow discharge in nitrogen at reduced pressures are studied experimentally and numerically. A dip in the plasma emission intensity in the initial stage of the discharge (the so-called “dark phase”) is observed experimentally at the positive polarity of the high-voltage electrode (the cathode is grounded). The dark phase is preceded by an ionization wave (IW). When the anode is grounded, neither an IW nor a dip in the discharge emission intensity are observed. A theoretical model capable of describing the discharge development under the actual experimental conditions is constructed. It is shown that the dark phase effect may be caused by the high electron density (above the steady-state one) produced in the gas during the passage of the IW across the discharge gap. This mechanism of the dark phase formation differs from the mechanism proposed earlier to explain a similar effect in noble gases. Additional experiments carried out with pure argon, helium, and helium with a nitrogen admixture have shown that, in the case of a grounded cathode, gas breakdown is also accompanied by the passage of an IW, whereas in the case of a grounded anode, no IW is observed; however, the dark phase is present in both cases. It is shown using computer simulations that, in nitrogen (in contrast to noble gases), the mechanism resulting in the dark phase effect does not operate in the absence of an IW.  相似文献

Candida rugosa lipase was entrapped in hybrid organic–inorganic sol-gel powder prepared by acid-catalyzed polymerization of tetramethoxysilane (TMOS) and alkyltrimethoxysilanes, and used in catalyzing esterification reactions between ethanol and butyric acid in hexane. Optimum preparation conditions were studied, which are gels made from propyltrimethoxysilane (PTMS)/TMOS molar ratio=4:1, hydrolysis time of silane precursor=30 min, water/silane molar ratio=24, enzyme loading=6.25% (w/w) of gel, and 1 mg PVA/mg lipase. The percentage of protein immobilization was 95% and the resulting lipase specific activity was 59 times higher than that of a non-immobilized lyophilized lipase. To prepare magnetic lipase-immobilized sol-gel powder (MLSP) for easier recovery of the biocatalyst, Fe3O4 nanoparticles were prepared and co-entrapped with lipase during gel formation. This procedure induced surface morphological change of the sol-gel powder and showed adverse effect on enzyme activity. Hence, although only 9% decrease in protein immobilization efficiency was observed, the corresponding reduction in enzyme activity could be up to 45% when sol-gel powder was doped with 25% (v/v) Fe3O4 magnetic nanoparticles solution. Lipase-immobilized sol-gel polymer was also formed within the pores of different porous supports to improve its mechanical stability. Non-woven fabric, with a medium pore size of all the supports tested, was found to be the best support for this purpose. The thermal stability of lipase increased 55-fold upon entrapment in sol-gel materials. The half-lives of all forms of sol-gel-immobilized lipase were 4 months at 40 °C in hexane.  相似文献

Results are presented from studies of the characteristics of a transverse volume discharge in a Ne/Ar/SiH4 mixture at pressures of 5–35 kPa. It is shown that SiI 288.2-nm, Hβ 486.1-nm, and NeI 585.3-nm lines and H2. Lyman bands can be used to monitor the process of destruction of silane molecules. The obtained porous film, consisting of the products of SiH4 destruction, is of interest for yielding siliceous fullerenes and for application in optoelectronics.  相似文献

The parameters of the electrode region of an electrode microwave discharge in nitrogen are studied by emission spectroscopy. The radial and axial distributions of the intensities of the bands of the second (N2(C 3Π u B 3Π g )) and first (N2(B 3Π g A 3Σ u + )) positive systems of molecular nitrogen and the first negative system of nitrogen ions (N 2 + (B 2Σ u + X 2Σ g + )), the radial profiles of the electric field E and the electron density N e , and the absolute populations of the vibrational levels v C = 0–4 of the C 3Π u excited state of N2 and the vibrational level v Bi = 0 of the B 2Σ u + excited state of a molecular nitrogen ion are determined. The population temperature of the first vibrational level T V of the ground electronic state X 1Σ g + of N2 and the excitation temperature T C of the C 3Π u state in the electrode region of the discharge are measured. The radius of the spherical region and the spatially integrated plasma emission spectra are studied as functions of the incident microwave power and gas pressure. A method for determining the electron density and the microwave field strength from the plasma emission characteristics is described in detail.  相似文献

Effects of nitrogen dioxide (NO2) exposure on prostacyclin (PGI2) synthesis in the rat lung and thromboxane A2 (TXA2) synthesis in the platelets were studied. Male Wistar rats were exposed to 10 ppm NO2 for 1, 3, 5, 7 and 14 days. PGI2 synthesizing activity of homogenized lung decreased. The damage of PGI2 synthesizing activity reaches its maximum at 3 days. At 14 days, PGI2 synthesizing activity returned to the normal level. The activity of PGI2 synthetase decreased significantly. The formation of lipid peroxides due to NO2 exposure may cause the depression of PGI2 synthesizing activity of lung. On the other hand, platelet TXA2 synthesizing activity increased. This increased TXA2 synthesizing activity lasted at least till 3 days. Then, it returned to the normal level. The counts of platelet were decreased significantly by 1, 3, 5 and 7 days NO2 exposure. Then the decreased counts of platelet returned to the normal level at 14 days NO2 exposure. These results indicate that the depression of PGI2 synthesizing activity of lung by NO2 exposure cause an increase in TXA2 synthesizing activity of platelets. It may contribute to induce platelet aggregation and to the observed decrease in the number of platelets during NO2 exposure.  相似文献
