Recent cave biodiversity surveys carried out in Du’an County and its adjacent areas of northwestern Guangxi, China, have revealed some exciting scientific findings. In a very limited area seven new species of the cavernicolous trechine genus Dongodytes Deuve, 1993 were found and are described: Dongodytes(s. str.)elongatussp. n., Dongodytes(s. str.)troglodytessp. n., Dongodytes(s. str.)lanisp. n., Dongodytes (Dongodytodes) brevipenissp. n., Dongodytes (Dongodytodes) jinzhuensissp. n., Dongodytes (Dongodytodes) inexpectatussp. n. and Dongodytes (Dongodytodes) yaophilussp. n. Diagnoses and notes on the genus, subgenera, and two known species in Du’an Karst, Dongodytes(s. str.)baxian Tian, 2011 and Dongodytes (Dongodytodes) deharvengi Tian, 2011, are also given. A key to subgenera and all species of Dongodytes is provided. To date, Dongodytes becomes one of the richest in species genera of subterranean carabid trechines in China with 12 species which are arranged into two subgenera. Dongodytes (s. str.) Deuve is composed of seven species, four of which from Du’an County, each of other three from Bama, Fengshan and Tian’e Counties, respectively. All species of the subgenus Dongodytodes Tian, 2011 are recorded from Du’an Karst. By having 10 species (nine Dongodytes and one Libotrechus Uéno, 1998), Du’an Karst holds the richest specific diversity of cavernicolous Trechinae in China. Dongodytes species are distributed in a very limited area of the river Hongshui He drainages in northwestern Guangxi, and the river acts as a natural barrier of Dongodytes dispersal at only a specific level. However, all members of Dongodytodes are recorded from the eastern or northern bank of Hongshui He. 相似文献

All morphs of two species of the genus Dysaphis, D. radicola (Mordv.) and D. rumecicola (Hori), living on plants of the family Polygonaceae, are described in detail. Morphometrical analysis has shown that D. radicola meridialis Shaposhnikov, 1964 is merely a synonym of D. radicola radicola (Mordvilko, 1897), and D. albocinerea (Hille Ris Lambers, 1956) and D. rheicola Daniyarova ex Narzikulov et Daniyarova, 1971, synonyms of D. rumecicola (Hori, 1935). D. emicis (Mimeur, 1935) is downgraded to a subspecies of D. rumecicola. Keys to species of the genus Dysaphis living on plants of the family Polygonaceae are provided. 相似文献

A new genus and species, Cryptohelops menaticus gen. et sp. n., are described from the Palaeocene of Menat (France). The new genus belongs to the subtribe Helopina of the tribe Helopini (subfamily Tenebrioninae of Tenebrionidae) based on the coarse and dense punctation of the hypomera, shape of the prosternum and metepisterna, a similar appearance to the native genera Helops and Stenohelops and the structure of the epipleura. The new genus also resembles Raiboscelis and Entomogonus by having the protibiae excised along the base of the inner side. The new genus is the oldest representative of the tribe Helopini. Four species of Helops sensu lato previously described from the Oligocene (H. wetteravicus K. Heyden et L. Heyden, 1865) and Miocene (H. atticus Redtenbacher in Ungern, 1867; H. meissneri Heer, 1847 and H. molassicus Heer, 1883) lack important diagnostic characters and should be regarded as members of the tribe Helopini with uncertain generic attribution. 相似文献

Paradiscocyrtus neglectus Mello-Leitão, 1927 is here redescribed and for the first time illustrated. A neotype is proposed to clarify the taxonomic status of this species and to differentiate it from the other two species of Paradiscocyrtus and related genera (e.g., Discocyrtus). Two junior synonyms of this species, currently allocated in Discocyrtus Holmberg, 1876 are here detected. This harvestman is endemic from areas above 2000 meters of altitude, occurring in the Campos Rupestres montane savannas terrestrial eco-region in the states of Minas Gerais and Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. This species is characterized by the powerful retrodorsal apophysis of the coxa IV, the unique armature of dorsal scutum, trochanter IV, and femur IV. 相似文献

Based on a complex approach including morphological and molecular genetic methods, the taxonomic position of two casebearer moth species Coleophora tsherkesi Falkovitsh, 1970 and C. isabellina Falkovitsh, 1970 (Lepidoptera, Coleophoridae) is discussed. On the phylogenetic tree based on the cytochrome oxidase subunit I gene (COI), two species form a common cluster with species of the genera Ionescumia, Carpochena, and Goniodoma. Data on the molecular phylogeny and morphology justify the placement of Coleophora tsherkesi and C. isabellina in a separate genus Falkmisa Anikin et Dyomin, gen. n. Thus, the tribe Carpochenini includes three genera: Ionescumia, Carpochena, and Falkmisa. 相似文献

Until the recent use of molecular markers, species diversity of Lobophora, an ecologically important brown algal genus with a worldwide distribution in temperate and tropical seas, has been critically underestimated. Using a DNA‐based taxonomic approach, we re‐examined diversity of the genus from New Caledonia in the Southwest Pacific Ocean. First, species were delineated using general mixed Yule coalescent‐based and barcoding gap approaches applied to a mitochondrial cox3 data set. Results were subsequently confirmed using chloroplast psbA and rbcL data sets. Species delimitation analyses agreed well across markers and delimitation algorithms, with the barcoding gap approach being slightly more conservative. Analyses of the cox3 data set resulted in 31–39 molecular operational taxonomic units (MOTUs), four of which are previously described species (L. asiatica, L. crassa, L. nigrescens s.l., L. pachyventera). Of the remaining MOTUs for which we obtained a representative number of sequences and results are corroborated across analyses and genes, we described 10 species de novo: L. abaculusa, L. abscondita, L. densa, L. dimorpha, L. gibbera, L. hederacea, L. monticola, L. petila, L. rosacea, and L. undulata. Our study presents an excellent case of how a traditional morphology‐based taxonomy fails to provide accurate estimates of algal diversity. Furthermore, the level of Lobophora diversity unveiled from a single locality in the Pacific Ocean raises important questions with respect to the global diversity of the genus, the distributions and range sizes of the individual species, as well as the mechanisms facilitating coexistence. 相似文献

The type-specimens of Notopentorchis cyathiformis (Frölich, 1791) n. comb. from Apus apus are redescribed. N. iduncula (Spassky, 1946) is redescribed on the basis of specimens from A. apus and A. pallidus from the Kurish Spit (USSR), Great Britain and Morocco. A re-definition of the genus Notopentorchis Burt, 1938 is presented and it is considered to include all the known species of paruterinid cestodes from swifts (Apodiformes: Apodidae and Hemiprocnidae). The valid species recognised are N. collocaliae Burt, 1938 (type-species), N. javanica (Hübscher, 1937), N. micropus Singh, 1952, N. iduncula [Syn. N. isonciphora (Dollfus, 1958), syn. nov.], N. cyathiformis and N. bovieni (Hübscher, 1937). N. vesiculigera (Krabbe, 1882) is considered a species inquirenda, as are Sphaeruterina dikeniensis Mokhehle, 1951, Dilepis cypselina Neslobinsky, 1911 and Neoangularia micropusi Gupta & Sinha, 1985, which probably belong also to Notopentorchis. Notopentorchis hindia Johri, 1950 from Coraciiformes and N. kherai Duggal & Gupta, 1986 from Passeriformes are regarded as species incertae sedis. 相似文献
