A section at the top of Upper Callovian deposits at Louesme (district of Montigny-sur-Aube, Côte-d'Or, France) reveals an unbroken series of strata between the top of the Athleta zone and the base of the Lamberti zone (Upper Callovian). A few specimens of Aspidoceratinae, collected with primitive Quenstedtoceras, are refered to Euaspidoceras ferrugineum Jeannet (1951). The characters of this species, which was created for individuals collected from the Herznach Mine (Northern Switzerland), are poorly defined from the Swiss material and little is known for this stratigraphic extent. The new find provides information about the ontogeny and the stratigraphic extent of Euaspidoceras ferrugineum (base of the Henrici subzone) and helps refine the phylogenic scheme of the European Callovian Aspidoceratinae. It also casts new light of the faunal content of the Herznach C. level, which can be interpreted as a level of concentrated faunas.  相似文献

Sterility is a potential toxic effect of chemotherapy. This risk is well established for alkylating agents, but is less clearly defined for anthracyclines, methotrexate and fluorouracil and poorly defined for alkaloids, platinum, etoposide and taxanes. The main predictive factors for ovarian toxicity are the additive effect of cytotoxic drugs, the cumulative dose of each drug and the patient’s age. This effect of chemotherapy is evaluated on menstrual cycles, hormonal assays and the number of pregnancies observed in patient cohorts. Chemotherapy induces destruction of oocytes and granulosa cells. In mice, it has been shown that adriamycin may induce oocyte apoptosis, which can be prevented by modulation of cycle cell signalling (dysregulation of Bax gene or, on the contrary, expression of its antagonist gene Bcl-2 or inhibition of apoptosis with sphingosine-1-phosphate or caspase inhibitors). Clinical data in the literature are usually based on retrospective studies and are somewhat confused: global fertility after MOPP chemotherapy for Hodgkin’s disease is about 20%, adjuvant chemotherapy with CMF, F(A)C or TAC for breast cancer induces amenorrhea in 50% to 70% of cases, PVB or BEP chemotherapy for ovarian germ cell tumors has little effect on fertility when the uterus and one ovary can be preserved, and the majority of women treated with methotrexate, actinomycin D or various combinations for persistent trophoblastic disease remain fertile. Preservation of fertility is a major goal for cancer patients receiving chemotherapy: in vitro fertilization could preserve the couple’s fertility, but is usually not feasible as it would delay initiation of chemotherapy until after stimulation of ovulation; oocyte or ovarian tissue cryopreservation is at the stage of research; oral contraceptives have not been demonstrated to be effective to preserve ovarian function; gonadotropin releasing hormone (GnRH) agonists prevent cyclophosphamide toxicity in rat and monkey ovaries, and a few pilot clinical studies suggest that chemotherapy-induced amenorrhea could be prevented by administration of GnRH analogues simultaneously to chemotherapy, but randomised studies are necessary.  相似文献

From Bajocian to lower Kimmeridgian, the subfamilyStephanocerataceae represents a large stock of the ammonite fauna. Though it is tributary of author's stratigraphical correlations and systematical interpretations, its geographical distribution with a drifting continents concept gives many teaching about the study of this superfamily, the continental drift and its consequences. Showing a world wide repartition at its apparition this stock then presents branches; the one (Stephanoceratidae) is not envisaged here; the second (Sphaeroceratidae and Cardioceratidae families) characterises rather the «boreal province; the third (Macrocephalitidae family) is chiefly specific of the «tethysian province. A «north-east pacific province with boreal affinities and a «south-east province with tethysian affinities are delimited. It is probably from its fauna that the tethysian macrocephalitid stock appears; first represented by ammonites specifically north american in middle and upper Bathonian stage, they extend during upper Bathonian and lower Callovian and reach South America and the Tethys. The presence of a narrow sea, on Patagonia, West Antarctica, East Africa, Madagascar and India, joining the Tethys and the south edge of Gondwania, is proved at various times, at Bajocian and Callovian stages.  相似文献

The genus Pachyerymnoceras, with four new species,is described for the first time in Western Algeria. The genus first appears in the Middle Callovia (Coronatum Zone) as in Saudi Arabia. It is represented in the Saida region by uncommon P. praecox nov. sp. followed during the Upper Callovian (Athleta Zone) by specimens belonging to P. flamandi sp. nov., P. kmerense nov. sp. and P. saidense nov. sp. Every species is represented by a dimorphic pair.Pachyceratidae are put into Perisphinctaceae. If Pachyerymnoceras arises from Erymnoceras, a genus suddenly appearing during the Middle Callovian on northern and southern Tethyan borders, the origin of Erymnoceras is still unknown. Three phylogenetic hypothesis are considered here. Erymnoceras may have evolved during Lower Callovian: 1) from serpenticonic Tethyan Pseudoperisphinctinae like Choffatia (Subgrossouvria); 2) from Tulitids via ellipticoncic Bullatimorphites (Kheraiceras); 3) through a double lineage arisen in Subboreal and Tethyan platyconic Proplanulitids.Pachyceratids have a wide paleobiogeographic distribution in NW Europe and on the Tethyan margins. The genus Pachyerymnoceras evolves in Ethiopian Province of the Tethyan Realm. Some species migrate into Indo-Malagasian Province and others, through the south Tethyan border came to Europe were they are found restricted to Upper Callovian (Athleta and Lamberti Zones). Therefore this migration has a duration of two or even three zones.  相似文献

This work describes new species of ostracodes collected in the Middle and Upper Bathonian outcrops of the Grands-Causses, Southern France: Kirtonella vignesensis n. sp., Marslatourella bathonica n. sp., Micropneumatocythere montmejeaneansis n. sp., Praeschuleridea alzonensis n. sp., and illustrates the predominating species in the assemblages: Limnocythere larzacensis, Theriosynoecum aveyronensis et Fastigatocythere juglandiformis.Ostracode assemblages are characteristic of lacustrine to polyhaline and inner marine environments, and they vary according to changes in salinity, oxygen and trophic level.  相似文献

The middle and upper Jurassic limestones of Côte-d'Or (France) contain some crocodilian remains referred to the genera Teleidosaurus, Steneosaurus, and Metriorhynchus. Their preservation allows a determination at a specific level only for Teleidosaurus gaudryi (Lower Bathonian), Steneosaurus larteti (Upper Bathonian), S. heberti and S. cf. intermedius (Middle Oxfordian). Sedimentological evidence shows that Steneosaurus and Teleidosaurus are found either in very pure limestones sedimented on an epicontinental platform, in a very calm and sheltered environment, in the intertidal or supratidal zone, often associated with subrecifal facies; or in the infratidal zone, more distinctly subjected to open-sea influences (deposits, currents, reworkings). Specialised Metriorhynchidae such as Metriorhynchus are completely absent in the former type of sediment but are present in the later. One may infer, considering anatomical evidence (no dermal armour, caudal fin…) that Metriorhynchus was better adapted to swimming and rather lived in the open sea. The Teleosauridae preferred very shallow or temporarily emerged places, where they could move around thanks to their limbs which were still capable of walking on land; however, this did not prevent them from going out to sea, where the habitats of both families probably largely overlapped.  相似文献

Despite the stratigraphical significance of dinoflagellate cysts as reliable markers for correlating and dating Jurassic–Cretaceous strata, investigations into this palynomorph group in the southern Tethyan Realm, specifically northwest Africa, are sparse and somewhat parochial. Most research on Jurassic dinoflagellate cysts is focussed on European depocentres in the Boreal and Sub-Boreal realms. This study is on biostratigraphical data from two petroleum boreholes (MSD1 and KDH1) drilled during 1985 in the Guercif Basin, northeast Morocco by ONAREP (Office National de Recherche et d’Exploitation Pétrolier), now ONHYM (Office National des Hydrocarbures et des Mines). These boreholes penetrated a thick siliciclastic succession, attributed to the Middle and Upper Jurassic, below Miocene marls. Over sixty dinoflagellate cyst taxa were identified. Four dinoflagellate cyst biozones, named GI to GIV, are established for the late Bathonian to early Oxfordian interval. These biozones are defined on the basis of the first appearance datum (FAD) and/or the last appearance datum (LAD) of some biomarker taxa which have wide geographical distributions. These are: Ctenidodinium combazii and Ctenidodinium sellwoodii for the GI Biozone (late Bathonian–early Callovian); Ctenidodinium continuum and Meiourogonyaulax caytonensis for the GII Biozone (middle Callovian); Gonyaulacysta centriconnata and Wanaea thysanota for the GIII Biozone (late Callovian–earliest Oxfordian); and Liesbergia liesbergensis and Systematophora penicillata for the GIV Biozone (early Oxfordian). These biozones are correlated to those already established for the respective intervals in other palaeogeographic regions, such as the Boreal, Sub-boreal and Tethyan realms.  相似文献

Dimorphism in the genus RichterellaAvram is confirmedon the basis of material collected in Ardeche (South east France) principally in the beds of the Fallauxi zone, from the localities of Le Pouzin and Broyon. The microconch, R. richteri (Oppel), lacks lateral lappets but a ventral horn, formed by the strongly projected forward secondary ribs, is present. The macroconch is «Lemencia praerichteriDonze & Enay. These two forms are united in the same species, R. richteri, and then in the same genus, Richterella. The microconch, which is generally better preserved than macroconch in the studied material, shows a greater variability of ribbing than previously thought, due to the poor illustrations of the lectotype of richteri (reproduced here) which showed only dichotomous ribs. The genus Richterella loses its original dimorphic sense and since its origins and its possible derivations are unknown, it became a taxon defined on morphological bases. The forms from Ardeche bear a greater resemblance to the Spanish ones than they do to the Roumanian forms. The stratigraphical and faunal contexts of Richterella in Ardeche are discussed in this work.  相似文献

The first photographs of Cardioceratinae out of exactly defined horizons from the Latest Callovian to the Middle Oxfordian of northern Switzerland are given in this article. Most specimens were either collected in large-scale excavations, or from measured sections. The Cardioceratinae from the Cordatum Subzone are important because they are very numerous, and because particularly well-preserved specimens are abundant. Cardioceratinae of this subzone are uncommon elsewhere in Europe. All representatives of the subfamily from the Cordatum Subzone, macro- as well as microconchs, are grouped into the single genus Cardioceras. An abrupt morphological change has been recognized between the Cardioceratinae of the Densiplicatum Zone and those of the Transversarium Zone. Most of the figured specimens have been found in an incomplete sequence of thin or even condensed horizons. These beds are the distal, starved basin facies of a thick, argillaceous, shoaling-up succession in northwestern Switzerland. Sedimentologic and taphonomic methods have been used in order to work out the time sequence of sediments and ammonite faunas in condensed beds, and to arrive at a correct zonation. These methods as well as observations on the distribution of chamosite and glauconite, and the ammonite assemblages, in two coeval horizons lead us to the conclusion that the Cardioceratinae of the Cordatum Subzone in northern Switzerland lived preferentially in water less than about 100 m deep.  相似文献

In Chellala mountains (Seba el Abiod), in Western Algeria, new biostratigraphic data, based on Ammonites, allow characterize, for the first time in North Africa, the Platynota zone with the species-index Sutneria platynota. This species was known, to the present time, only in the South European border. These new biostratigraphic data show the diachronism of flyschoid facies. They do not exceed middle Oxfordian in the Tlemcenian zone; on the contrary they go up to lower Kimmeridgian in the preatlasic zone.  相似文献

A correlation between the biozonations of orbitolinidsand charophytes is established in the Lower Valanginian from the Polacos Formation (Maestrat basin, Castelló, east of Spain). This correlation is based on the presence of the charophyte association: Perimneste micrandra-Perimneste ancora (rare), Globator trochiliscoides (primitive), Embergerella stellata, Flabellochara harrisii and Porocharaceae in the levels underlaying and overlaying the banks with the orbitolinid Valdanchella miliani. This charophyte assemblage is similar to the flora of the “Olba zone” from Grambast (1974), which was hypothetically attributed to the Hauterivian.According to our correlation, the olba flora was atleast already existing in the Lower Valanginian. Provisionally, the biostratigraphic boundary between the Berriasian and the Valanginian can be characterized in the continental domain of Tethys by the disappearance of Globator nurrensis and the first appearance of Embergerella stellata. Uncertainty still exists in the chronostratigraphy of the charophyte biozonation during the Middle Valanginian to Upper Hauterivan time interval.  相似文献

El Cierro Cave (Ribadesella, Asturias, Spain), located near the mouth of the River Sella, has yielded one of the most important Upper Palaeolithic sequences in northern Spain. To date, three major occupation periods at the cave have been identified and dated. The first was at the beginning of the Holocene (ca. 8500 BP; ca. 9000 cal BP); the second at the end of the Upper Palaeolithic, in the Younger Dryas (YD) or Greenland Stadial 1 (GS1) (ca. 11.200 BP; 12.700 cal BP) and the third during Greenland Stadial 2 (GS2) (ca. 16.300–15.500 BP; ca. 19.200–18.700 cal BP). This paper describes the stratigraphy documented in the excavations performed by F. Jordá Cerdá and A. Gómez-Fuentes between 1977 and 1979 and presents the first radiocarbon determinations for the first two occupation periods, together with the study of the archaeological materials found in Level F. This level, dated to 15.500 BP (ca. 18.700 cal BP) is characterised by specialised red deer hunting and the gathering of marine resources (winkles). Various artefacts made from animal raw materials have been documented; both finished products and items in the process of being manufactured, as well as portable art objects. The lithic assemblage, consisting mainly of local raw materials with a small proportion of allochthonous flint, is characterised by an abundance of small bladelet cores and backed bladelets. These archaeological remains and the radiocarbon date mean Level F can be attributed to the so-called “Cantabrian Lower Magdalenian”. This period has been documented archaeologically and dated to a similar time at other sites in the River Sella valley and in the rest of northern Spain.  相似文献

The results of palynological study of the Upper Paleolithic Mezhyrich site in central Ukraine are presented. Four local pollen zones were identified. The results of the palynological investigations allow us to hypothesize that the plant cover during Upper Paleolithic had a mosaic structure. The pollen record shows the presence of a few tree species with the predominance of herbaceous plants. We suggest that the river valleys and other local favorable sites were natural refugia where forest elements could survive even during the Last Glacial Maximum. These favorable landscapes to the existence of prehistoric hunters may have persisted during the Last Pleniglacial.  相似文献

The section has been logged on the southern slope of the Montejunto Mountain, near Cabanas de Torres (North of Tage River, Portugal). Typical ammonites of the Platynota zone with species-index Sutneria platynota (Reinecke) have been found in the lower part of the «Marnes d'Abadia formation. Orthosphinctes and Desmoides subzones of early Kimmeridgian are paleontologically well characterized. Unlike what is usually thought, the lower Kimmeridgian does occur. More fossiliferous beds of the «Marnocalcaires de Tojeira formation are coincident with Upper Oxfordian (Planula zone and Upper part of the Bimammatum zone). They yield Ardescia gr. enayi Atrops which appear earlier in Portugal than in South-eastern France.  相似文献
