Summary Inheritance of waxy locus was studied in crosses of a waxy variety with four non-waxy parents having high-, intermediate-, low- or very low-amylose content. The analysis for amylose content was done on a single grain basis in parents, F1, F2, B1F1, and B2F1 seeds. The waxy parent lacking synthesis of amylose content was found to differ from the ones having high-, intermediate-, low- or very low-amylose content by one gene with major effect. Dosage effects for amylose content were observed to have great influence on segregation pattern and efficiency of selection. Selection efficiency for amylose content can be enhanced by selecting for endosperm appearance in early segregating generations.  相似文献

Genetic effects on controlling stripe rust resistance were determined in two wheat crosses, Bakhiawar-92 × Frontana (cross 1) and Inqilab-91 × Fakhre Sarhad (cross 2) using Area under Disease Progress Curve (AUDPC) as a measure of stripe rust resistance. The resistant and susceptible genotypes for crosses were identified by initial assessment of 45 wheat accessions for stripe rust resistance. Mixed inheritance model was applied to the data analysis of six basic populations P 1, F 1, P 2, B 1, B 2, and F 2 in the crosses. The results indicated that AUDPC in cross 1 was controlled by two major genes with additive-dominance epistatic effect plus polygenes with additive-dominance epistatic effects (model E). Whereas in case of cross 2, it was under the control of two major genes with additive-dominance epistatic effect plus additive-dominant polygenes (model E-1). Additive effect was predominant then all other types of genetic effects suggesting the delay in selection for resistance till maximum positive genes are accumulated in the individuals of subsequent generations. Occurrence of transgressive segregants for susceptibility and resistance indicated the presence of resistance as well as some negative genes for resistance in the parents. The major gene heritability was higher than the polygene heritability in B 1, B 2 and F 2 for the crosses. The major gene as well as the polygene heritability was ranging from 48.99 to 87.12% and 2.26 and 36.80% for the two crosses respectively. The highest phenotypic variations in AUDPC (2504.10 to 5833.14) for segregating progenies (BC 1, BC 2 and F 2) represent that the character was highly influenced by the environment. The article is published in the original.  相似文献

Summary Three crosses and descendant generations were used in a field study of the inheritance of tolerance to Verticillium wilt, caused by Verticillium dahliae Kleb., in upland cotton (Gossypium hirsutum L.). The tolerant cultivar Acala SJC-1 was crossed to more susceptible parents, breeding line S5971 and cultivars Acala 4-42 and Deltapine 70. Seven generations were evaluated for each cross: the two parents (P1 and P2), F1; F2, F3, and reciprocal backcrosses (B1 and B2). The genetic control of tolerance in these crosses appears to involve more than one gene, based on an unsatisfactory fit to expected phenotypic distributions for the generations under a single-locus model. An analysis of generation means indicated that pooled additive and pooled dominance effects over loci were adequate to explain the variation among generations for crosses of SJC-1 X S5971 and SJC-1 X DPL70. Tolerance in these crosses appeared to be controlled by recessive factors. For the SJC-1 X 4-42 cross, an adequate fit to a digenic epistatic model was not possible, and none of the genetic parameters except the F2 mean were significant. Heritabilities for tolerance to Verticillium wilt, determined from regressions of F3 progeny on F2 parents for the crosses of SJC-1 X S5971 and SJC-1 X DPL70, ranged from 0.12 to 0.28. Therefore, individual plant selection for improved tolerance is expected to be inefficient.Contribution from the Department of Botany and Plant Sciences, University of California, Riverside, CA 92521, USA, to be included in a dissertation by the senior author in partial fulfillment of the Ph. Summary Gene effects, and interactions, and associations between days-to-flower initiation and maturity, number of secondary branches and siliquae per plant, and 1,000-seed weight and yield per plant were studied in a cross of Indian mustard (Brassica juncea (L.) Czern & Coss) using the parents and F1, F2, F3, B1, B2, B11, B12, B21, B22, B1S, B2S, B1F1, B2F1, B1bip, B2bip, F2P1, F2F1, and F2bip generations. A linked digenic model was adequate for all characters studied. According to this model, the main effects, additive and interactions between linked pairs of genes, were present in varying proportions for days-to-flower initiation and maturity and number of siliquae per plant. The contribution of linked epistatic effects, however, was much greater than that of additive effects. Dominance effects contributed significantly to the inheritance of days-to-flower initiation. Duplicate epistasis was observed for all traits except 1,000-seed weight where epistasis was of the complementary type. A complete association among the genes of similar effect (increasing or decreasing) was observed for number of secondary branches and siliquae, and yield per plant. Coupling phase linkage was observed for days-to-flower initiation whereas repulsion phase linkage was observed for daysto-maturity and 1,000-seed weight.  相似文献

Summary The falcifolia (fal) syndrome is a malformation characterized by shoot sectors with sickle-shaped leaves, which appears in hybrids between Oenothera suaveolens and O. lamarckiana and shows a non-chromosomal inheritance of a previously undescribed type. The determinants, their location in the cell, and the mechanism of their expression are unknown. The defect is the result of a cross in which mixing of two different cytoplasms occurs, without the usual predominantly maternal inheritance. F1 progeny of reciprocal crosses show a quantitative difference in the frequency and degree of expression of the fal character. When the F1 progeny are backcrossed to the parents, the percentage of fal is high in crosses to O. suaveolens and low in those to O. lamarckiana. This manner of transmission is observed regardless of whether the hybrid is used as seed or pollen parent or shows a normal or fal phenotype. F2 generations from F1 plants having either a normal or a fal phenotype always include a certain percentage of fal plants, although the latter generally produce a higher percentage of fal progeny. If a second backcross is carried out, plants that produce normal progeny on self-pollination behave differently from those that produce some fal off-spring when selfed. The latter are similar to the F1 with regard to the transmission of the fal trait. Plants of the F1B1 yielding normal progeny upon selfing produce normal progeny in the F1B2 if the parent to which they are backcrossed is the same as in the first backcross; if the parents of the first and second backcross differ, a high percentage of fal offspring is obtained. Again, whether the hybrid is used as seed or pollen parent is not relevant. Exceptions to this behaviour have been observed only rarely in that the character of the penultimate cross is retained. There is some evidence of somatic segregation of the fal determinants, since sister plants may react differently; this suggestion is supported by comparing the progenies of different branches of a self-pollinated fal plant of the F1 generation.Abbreviations F1, F2, F3, F4 First through fourth filial generation, obtained by self-pollination - F1B1 First backcross generation, i.e. the F1 was backcrossed to one of the original parents - F1B2 Second backcross generation, i.e. the F1B1 was backcrossed to one of the original parents - F1B3 Third backcross generation, i.e. the F1B2 was backcrossed to one of the original parents - (F1B1)D1 Descendants obtained by self-pollination of a F1B1 plant; further generations obtained by self-pollination are designated as D2, D3, D4 - (F1B1)D1B1 Descendant or generation obtained by a backcross of the D1 of an F1B1. Backcrosses of the D2 and D3 are designated mutatis mutandis - (F1B1)D1B2 Generation obtained by a backcross of the (F1B1)D1B1  相似文献

Summary Six generations, namely P1, P2, F1, F2, B1 and B2, of five different crosses involving diverse parents, H14 (Local standard), Res H141 (Reselection of H141), 419/49 (Punjab), 5143C (Ceylon) and Banda-I (Africa) on one hand and PRS-72 a cluster type strain on the other, were studied to gain understanding of the genetics of short fruiting branch and cluster boll bearing in upland cotton, Gossypium hirsutum L. Observations were recorded on cluster vs. noncluster normal plants in the first and second filial and B1 and B2 generations. The segregation ratios of cluster: normal boll bearing in the F2 and B2 (test cross) progenies confirmed that the character is monogenic recessive (cl1cl1) in inheritance. Though the penetrance of the gene which controlled cluster boll bearing was complete, its expression varied. As many as 15 different types of cluster have been described. Length of cluster bearing sympods varied. On average the sympod lengths in PRS-72 and the cluster type F2 and B2 were 2.13 and 4.54 cm, respectively, suggesting influence of specific modifiers evolved in the cluster donor parent and the different genetic backgrounds. It was suggested that there is a dosage effect of modifiers and interaction of homeologous duplicate allele (Cl2 Cl2) in governing the length of the cluster bearing sympods.Part of the thesis submitted to the Punjab Agricultural University in partial fulfilment of requirements for the degree of Doctor of Philosophy (Genetics) by the senior author.  相似文献

Summary Genetic control of tiller number, grain number, grain weight, harvest index and grain yield in six generations, along with the biparentals, F3s, F2xparental progeny, and F2xF1 progeny were investigated in an intervarietal cross of bread wheat involving two highly competitive varieties, WL711 and HD 2009. The performance of F1, B1, B2, F2, × p1, F2 × P2 and F2 × F1 progeny was midway between the parents involved with respect to all the evaluated characters. The biparental progeny excelled the mean performance of their corresponding F2 and F3 progeny in tiller number, seed weight and grain yield. The estimates of variance components obtained from the two models deployed were almost similar. Considerable additive genetic variance was observed for grains per spike, seed weight and grain yield while dominance variance was more pronounced for harvest index. The additive-dominance model was adequate for grains per spike and harvest index. Epistatic effects of additive × additive and additive × dominance type for tiller number and grain yield, and of additive × dominance type for seed weight were observed. The digenic epistatic model was inadequate for explaining the nature of gene action for tiller number, seed weight and grain yield. The studies indicated that non-allelic interactions should not be ignored in formulating wheat breeding programmes and that a biparental approach could be adopted as an extremely useful tool for enhancing genetic variability and the creation of transgressive segregants. The usefulness of breeding methodologies utilising a biparental approach is discussed.  相似文献

Balimau Putih [an Indonesian cultivar tolerant to rice tungro bacilliform virus (RTBV)] was crossed with IR64 (RTBV, susceptible variety) to produce the three filial generations F1, F2 and F3. Agroinoculation was used to introduce RTBV into the test plants. RTBV tolerance was based on the RTBV level in plants by analysis of coat protein using enzyme‐linked immunosorbent assay. The level of RTBV in cv. Balimau Putih was significantly lower than that of IR64 and the susceptible control, Taichung Native 1. Mean RTBV levels of the F1, F2 and F3 populations were comparable with one another and with the average of the parents. Results indicate that there was no dominance and an additive gene action may control the expression of tolerance to RTBV. Tolerance based on the level of RTBV coat protein was highly heritable (0.67) as estimated using the mean values of F3 lines, suggesting that selection for tolerance to RTBV can be performed in the early selfing generations using the technique employed in this study. The RTBV level had a negative correlation with plant height, but positive relationship with disease index value.  相似文献

The genetic analysis of 5 tomato hybrids (Danubius F1, Luna F1, Lido F1, Balkan F1 and Mi-10 F1) was made. We produced their F1, F2, BC1 and BC2 generations and analysed their yield (on the first three flower branches) as well as some of the yield components of tomato fruits (mean fruit weight, mean fruit weight on the first flower branch, fruit length, fruit width, and number of locules). In order to estimate the gene effects, we applied the additive-dominance mode with three and six parameters. Epistatic gene effects were estimated by applying the six-parameter mode (Mather and Jinks 1982). As for yield and yield components, there were significant differences between the mean values of parents and their progeny. On the basis of the investigated genetic parameters, the obtained results suggested that the additive and dominance gene effects prevailed in the yield and yield components (Danubius F1, Luna F1, Lido F1, Mi-10 F1), whereas epistatic gene effects were excluded. As for the hybrid Balkan F1, we recorded significant gene effects, both the additive and the dominance ones in the yield inheritance: additive x additive and dominance x dominance (with the negative sign). The estimated values of the epistatic gene effects were the most prominent in inheriting the feature average fruit weight on the first flower branch — additive x dominance gene effects. They represented the most frequent type of the interallele interaction recorded in the investigated hybrids.  相似文献

Anthers of two rice (Oryza sativa L.) varieties, Lunhui 422 (P1) and Jinzao 5 (P2), their F1, F2 and first backcross generation-F1 x Lunhui 422 (B1), and F1 x Jinzao 5 (B2)-were cultured in L8 medium to study the inheritance of rice anther culturability using generation mean analysis. Significant effects of generation were observed for the four traits measured: anther response (%), frequency of callus induction (%), frequency of callus differentiation (%) and culture efficiency (%). Variation among the generations was similar for all traits: significant differences were found among six generations and the means of the P2 and B2 were significantly lower than those of the other generations. The frequency of callus differentiation showed a nonsignificant difference among the P1, F1, F2 and B1 generations which had slightly high values than the P2 and B2. Additive genetic variance (VA) was higher than non-additive genetic variance (VD) for anther response and frequency of callus induction. However, AV was lower than VD for frequence of callus differentiation and culture efficiency, VA was significant for all traits except for the culture efficiency, and VD was nonsignificant for all traits except for the frequency of callus differentiation. On the other hand, environmental variation (VE) was significant for the 4 traits. Narrow-sense heritability estimates were 95.52%, 82.19% and 13.54% for anther response, frequency of callus induction and culture efficiency, respectively.Abbreviations 2,4-d 2,4-dichlorophenoxyacetic acid - IAA indole-3-acetic acid  相似文献

Summary A study to obtain information on early segregating generations of an intervarietal cross WG 357 X Tobari 66 in spring wheat on the genetics of days to heading, plant height, ear length and spikelets per spike was conducted. WG 357 has amber, hard and lustrous grains and is a well adapted high yielding variety of North India whereas Tobari 66 is red grained introduction from CIMMYT.The parental F1, F2, B1, B2, biparentals, F3 (parents of biparentals), F3 bulk and F4 bulk generations were studied in order to provide analysis of generations means (Mather 1949; Hayman 1958) and variance component analysis (Kearsay 1965; Perkins and Jinks 1970).There were highly significant differences among the generations for all the characters studied. There were significant differences among the F3 lines as well as among the biparental progenies. Only in case of ear length was the contrast between the two also significant. The mean value of most of the generations arising from the cross fell between the parental range. The three-parameter model failed to account for the variation in generation means in the case of days to heading. This character was concluded to be influenced by linkage and higher order interactions. For the other characters the three parameter model was adequate. For all characters, additive gene effects were most important as compared to dominance gene effects. The analysis of gene action as provided by the generation variance indicated that additive variance was much more pronounced as compared to dominance variance. The heritability was high for days to heading (71 per cent for narrow sense and 80 per cent in broad sense) and plant height (62 and 93 per cent in narrow and broad sense respectively. The implications of the results in breeding programmes have been discussed.  相似文献

Summary Anthers of two maize (Zea mays L.) inbred lines, DBTS (P1) and B73 (P2), their F1, F2 and first backcross generations — F1 x DBTS (B1), and F1 x B73 (B2) — were float cultured in YP medium to study the inheritance of corn anther culturability using generation mean analysis. Significant effects of generation were observed for the three traits measured: anther response (%), frequency of embryos (%) and anther productivity. Variation among the generations was similar for anther response and frequency of embryos: no significant differences were found among the P1, F1, F2 and B1 means, but the means of P2 and B2 were significantly lower than those of the other generations. For anther productivity, the F2 generation tended to have a slightly higher tendency for multiple embryo formation. A simple additive-dominance model was adequate in explaining the inheritance of anther response and frequency of embryos, but digenic epistasis (additive x dominance) was involved in the inheritance of anther productivity. Additive genetic variance was higher than non-additive genetic variance for all the traits; however, only environmental variance was significant. Narrow-sense heritability estimates were 65% and 75% for anther response and frequency of embryos, respectively. Significant inter-plant variation was observed within generations, even for the inbred line DBTS, but isozymic analysis involving five enzyme loci did not reveal any genotypic variability within the inbred lines DBTS and B73.  相似文献

Inheritance of gel consistency in rice was studied in crossés involving highamylose, low-gelatinizalion temperature parents with hard, medium, and soft gel consistency. The results of single-grain analysis of parents, F1, F2, B1F1, B2F2, and their reciprocal crosses from a single-season harvest showed that the differences between hard and soft, hard and medium, and medium and soft gel consistency are under monogenic control and that modifiers affect the expression of the trait. Multiple alleles at the same locus, hereby designated asgec a for medium gel consistency andgec b for soft gel consistency, were recessive to the wild type allele for hard gel consistency andgec a was dominant overgec b. The results indicate that selection for desired gel consistency can effectively be done in early segregating generations.  相似文献

To understand the genetic control of grain filling duration (GFD), i.e., the number of days from anthesis to physiological maturity, we studied the F1, F2, BC1 and BC2 generations of six spring wheat crosses from nine varieties/genotypes. Generation mean analysis for gene effects indicated that one or more types of epistasis were significant in all crosses. In each pairing, the F1 and F2 means were either intermediate or closer to the mean of the parent having the longer GFD. Our narrow-sense heritability estimate was reasonably high, at 47.67 (based on diallel analysis). This demonstrated that progress could be made from the selection in these crosses for either long or short GFD. The two early varieties that had identical maturity durations differed in their GFD values, indicating that maturity dates are not good criteria when choosing parents for modifying GFD. To utilize favorable additive × additive effects during this selection, we suggest that a single seed descent (SSD) or bulk popula-tion approach be adopted. In comparison, dominance effects would prove quite useful in hybrid wheat breeding programs.  相似文献

The inheritance of resistance to downy mildew disease and the defense-related enzymes β-1,3-glucanase and peroxidase was studied in crosses of pearl millet using a generation-mean analysis. The study material comprised six generations (susceptible and resistant parents, F1, F2, BC1 and BC2) in three crosses. Seedlings from these generations were inoculated with the downy mildew pathogen Sclerospora graminicola and disease incidence was recorded. Analysis of constitutive levels of β-1,3-glucanase and peroxidase in the seedlings of different generations indicated that the resistant populations showed higher enzyme activities, while lower activities of the enzymes were recorded in the susceptible populations. In the generation-mean analysis, the significance of scaling tests revealed the existence of non-allelic interactions in the inheritance of resistance to downy mildew as well as with the enzymes. Among the gene effects, both additive and dominant effects were significant. All the non-allelic interaction effects were significant in the crosses. Studies on the isozyme patterns of the enzymes substantiated the results of the disease-incidence experiments in most of the generations. The results indicated that the inheritance of downy mildew disease resistance and the expression of β-1,3-glucanase and peroxidase in pearl millet is not only under the control of additive and dominant genes but are also governed by complex non-allelic interactions. Eight variable microsatellite loci were analyzed in terms of studying the genetic structure of different generations of a captive population of a rare endemic Russian species, the Siberian crane (Grus leucogeranus Pallas). It was shown that the founding population of natural origin (15 birds) is characterized by high genetic diversity (N A = 6.625, H O = 0.767, H E = 0.731) and a lack of relatedness (R = ?0.079). In the total sample of descendents of the founders (122 individuals from generations F1, F1/F2, F1/F3, F2, F2/F3), this characteristic level of genetic variation is being maintained; however, we observed a decrease in allelic richness in some generations (F1/F2, F1/F3, F2). We found a low level of relatedness in the sample of descendents of the founders (F1, F1/F2, F1/F3), while the relatedness was maximal (R = 0.302) in the descendents of the breeders of the first generation. A small sample of breeders related to each other of generations F1 and F2 (eight birds) does not represent the entire gene pool of the founders of the Siberian Crane captive population. In view of this, we discuss the need to form a new genetically heterogeneous generation of breeders that would also include Siberian Cranes from the almost extinct Western Siberian population.  相似文献

Summary The potato aphid, Macrosiphum euphorbiae Thomas, is an important pest of tomato, Lycopersicon esculentum Mill., because it transmits tomato viruses and directly reduces crop yields by its feeding. This study was conducted to determine whether the wild tomato species, Lycopersicon pennellii (Corr.) D'Arcy, would be useful as a source of potato aphid resistance for tomato. Type IV trichome density and aphid resistance were assessed in six generations (P1, P2, F1, F2, BC1P1, and BC1P2) from crosses between L. pennellii (LA 716) and two tomato cultivars, New Yorker and VF Vendor. Weighted leastsquares were used in joint scaling tests to estimate the relative importance of gene effects on type IV trichome density and potato aphid resistance of the hybrids. A simple additive-dominance model adequately explained the variation in type IV trichome density. Models which included digenic epistatic effects were required to explain the variation in aphid resistance. Standard unit heritability estimates of aphid resistance in the backcross to L. esculentum were obtained by regression of BC1F2 off-spring families on BC1F1 parents. Regression coefficients and heritability estimates varied between years with the level and uniformity of the aphid infestation. In the 1985–1986 growing seasons, when aphid infestations were uniform, aphid resistance exhibited a moderate level of heritability (29.8% ± 14.1% and 47.1% ± 11.5% in New Yorker and VF Vendor backcross populations, respectively). The non-uniform aphid infestation of 1984 resulted in lower heritability estimates in the 1984–1985 growing seasons (16.1% ± 15.7% and 21.9% ± 14.8% in the New Yorker and VF Vendor backcross populations, respectively). Selection for potato aphid resistance would probably be most efficient if it were delayed until gene combinations are fixed in later generations, because of the large epistatic effects and the low heritability of this trait in seasons with variable aphid infestations.  相似文献

Stripe rust, caused by Puccinia striiformis f. sp. tritici (PST), is one of the most damaging diseases in common wheat (Triticum aestivum L.). With the objective of identifying and tagging new genes for resistance to stripe rust, F1, F2 and F3 populations from the cross Zhou 8425B/Chinese Spring were inoculated with Chinese PST isolate CYR32 in the greenhouse. A total of 790 SSR primers were used to test the parents and resistant and susceptible bulks. The resulting seven polymorphic markers on chromosome 7BL were used for genotyping F2 and F3 populations. Results indicated that Zhou 8425B carries a single dominant resistance gene, temporarily designated YrZH84, closely linked to SSR markers Xcfa2040-7B and Xbarc32-7B with genetic distances of 1.4 and 4.8 cM, respectively. In a seedling test with 25 PST isolates, the reaction patterns of YrZH84 were different from those of lines carrying Yr2 and Yr6. It was concluded that YrZH84 is probably a new stripe rust resistance gene.  相似文献

During routine seed increase procedures in rice, semi-sterile plants are common; however, such semi-sterility mutants in rice varieties have been only rarely analyzed genetically. W207-2 is a semi-sterile selection from the japonica rice variety Nipponbare. In this report, we found the female gamete of W207-2 was normal, and its semi-sterility was unaffected by growth duration but was conditioned by a recessive nuclear gene whose action leads to pollen semi-sterility and anther indehiscence, and the gene was named as pss1 (pollen semi-sterile). Using an F2 population derived from the two parents W207-2 and Dular and a pooled DNA strategy, pss1 was mapped to an interval on chromosome 8 defined by the two SSR loci RM6356 and RS41. The position of pss1 was confirmed in another F2 population derived from the cross W207-2 × Nipponbare. Over 2,000 homozygous pss1 segregants from the large W207-2 × Dular F2 population were used to fine map pss1 to a 0.04 cM segment flanked by a CAPs marker L2 and a dCAPs L3 marker. Sequences for both markers are present on a single PAC clone, and the physical distance between them is about 28 kb. Analysis of the PAC sequence predicts the presence of five open reading frames, they are as follows: putative ribonuclease PH, putative avr9 elicitor response protein, kinesin1-like protein, putative protein RNP-D precursor and putative 40S ribosomal protein S13. This result would be helpful in cloning the pss1 gene.  相似文献

Understanding the genetic architecture of quantitative traits can greatly assist the design of strategies for their manipulation in plant-breeding programs. For a number of traits, genetic variation can be the result of segregation of a few major genes and many polygenes (minor genes). The joint segregation analysis (JSA) is a maximum-likelihood approach for fitting segregation models through the simultaneous use of phenotypic information from multiple generations. Our objective in this paper was to use computer simulation to quantify the power of the JSA method for testing the mixed-inheritance model for quantitative traits when it was applied to the six basic generations: both parents (P1 and P2), F1, F2, and both backcross generations (B1 and B2) derived from crossing the F1 to each parent. A total of 1968 genetic model-experiment scenarios were considered in the simulation study to quantify the power of the method. Factors that interacted to influence the power of the JSA method to correctly detect genetic models were: (1) whether there were one or two major genes in combination with polygenes, (2) the heritability of the major genes and polygenes, (3) the level of dispersion of the major genes and polygenes between the two parents, and (4) the number of individuals examined in each generation (population size). The greatest levels of power were observed for the genetic models defined with simple inheritance; e.g., the power was greater than 90% for the one major gene model, regardless of the population size and major-gene heritability. Lower levels of power were observed for the genetic models with complex inheritance (major genes and polygenes), low heritability, small population sizes and a large dispersion of favourable genes among the two parents; e.g., the power was less than 5% for the two major-gene model with a heritability value of 0.3 and population sizes of 100 individuals. The JSA methodology was then applied to a previously studied sorghum data-set to investigate the genetic control of the putative drought resistance-trait osmotic adjustment in three crosses. The previous study concluded that there were two major genes segregating for osmotic adjustment in the three crosses. Application of the JSA method resulted in a change in the proposed genetic model. The presence of the two major genes was confirmed with the addition of an unspecified number of polygenes. Received: 18 August 2000 / Accepted: 9 March 2001  相似文献
