In a survey of the mollusc fauna of the Ceyhan River Basin, including rivers, natural lakes, dam lakes and springs between June 2008 and September 2014, a total of 20 species of Gastropoda and 8 species of Bivalvia were identified. Two of these species are new to science, and for one of them a new genus is erected: the hydrobiid Hemite ceyhanensis gen. n., sp. n., and the bithyniid Pseudobithynia cocussusica sp. n. http://www.zoobank.org/urn:lsid:zoobank.org:pub:DE5FFC19-13CD-4B81-B74E-80059E781518 相似文献

A new genus and two new species of Kempyninae (Osmylidae), Ponomarenkius excellens gen. et sp. nov. and Arbusella magna sp. nov., are described from the Middle-Upper Jurassic of Daohugou (China). The finding demonstrates that extant kempynins, a typical Gondwanan group, are overshadowed by their Mesozoic relatives in taxonomic diversity and variety of wing venation. Striped patterns of both newly described species are an example of cryptic and disruptive coloration, possibly pinnate leaf mimesis. Eyespot patterns of Arbusella magna sp. nov. can be explained as a result of sexual selection. The abundance and distribution of the Mesozoic kempynins are discussed. http://zoobank.org/urn:lsid:zoobank.org:pub:CF33DEB4-0A69-407D-B1B2-1EC6537E4095 相似文献

Herein we describe a new species of Teratoscincus Strauch, 1863 from remote desert areas of the Sistan and Baluchistan Province in southeastern Iran. Based on morphological characters, this species, Teratoscincus sistanense sp. n., has a close relationship with T. microlepis and is distinct from all other members of its genus by the number of small scales around the midbody. We provide information about the ecology, biology and conservation of this new species. A comparison with the other three Iranian species of Teratoscincus and an updated key to this genus in Iran are presented. http://www.zoobank.org/urn:lsid:zoobank.org:pub:77F54322-6CCA-46F1-A74B-B8A75E1F1F8D 相似文献

A new genus and species, Espanoderus barbarae gen. et sp. nov., belonging to the family Tanyderidae (Diptera, Nematocera), is described from Lower Cretaceous amber of Spain (Álava amber). The new genus is the smallest member of Tanyderinae and the first member of the family from the Álava amber. The position of the new genus in a phylogenetic tree of Tanyderidae is presented. http://zoobank.org/urn:lsid:zoobank.org:pub:EC3284BA-C07F-48AC-8AF5-4F9D2EF4EA6C 相似文献

A new species of the family Zerconidae, Zercon persicus sp. n., is described based on female and male morphological characters. It was collected in West Azarbaijan province (northwestern Iran). Idiosomal chaetotaxy, poroidotaxy and related notations are illustrated. The similarities and differences between the related species within the genus are discussed. Records of some other Zercon species from the province are given for the first time. http://www.zoobank.org/urn:lsid:zoobank.org:pub:3D1122C7-2B86-40D2-974E-EE69035A2413 相似文献

In this faunistic survey, we give distributional records for 48 species and subspecies of Ichneumoninae found in Iran, mainly from Golestan and Azerbaijan-e-Grabi provinces. 13 of these taxa are new for the Iranian fauna. Three Iranian species are new to science and described and illustrated, namely Coelichneumon iranicus Riedel sp. n., Coelichneumon melanocastaneus Riedel sp. n., and Coelichneumon nigrifrons Riedel sp. n. http://www.zoobank.org/urn:lsid:zoobank.org:pub:BE8AC3A5-D40E-4D78-BB05-C0DEDFC5C47B 相似文献

The species of the genus Hydraena Kugelann, 1794 of the Baroc River basin in the Philippine Island of Mindoro are studied taxonomically. Five species of Hydraena ( Hydraenopsis) are recorded of which three new species, namely H. hinundungan sp. n., H. quirao sp. n., and H. sanvicentensis sp. n., are described. Their genital characters are illustrated by line drawings. Photographs of their habitus and type localities, and a map of the collection sites are provided. Their habitat requirements are briefly discussed and their potential usefulness as bioindicators is deduced. The paper is based on a student thesis and intended as a first step towards the review of the entire hydraenid beetle fauna of Mindoro. http://zoobank.org/urn:lsid:zoobank.org:pub:BDB0EABE-5A9A-46D0-83A2-81A3DA895BFD 相似文献

Seventy-five species of caddisflies were found near eight waterfalls in the Tai Rom Yen National Park and the Khao Luang National Park, within Nakhon Si Thammarat Range, in southern Thailand. Rhyacophila suratthaniensis sp. n. is described and figured, based on adult males. Rhyacophila suratthaniensis sp. n. is distinguished from other species of the genus by the shape of its paramere: their basal part is broader than the apical one and is separated from it by a step; apex of the paramere bears many strong spines, which are arranged like in a toothbrush. Occurrence of Trichoptera species in the observed and neighbouring areas is discussed. http://zoobank.org/urn:lsid:zoobank.org:pub:336401B5-DAAA-4818-90EA-5DCB1944D1F0 相似文献
