The type-species of the genus SimocerasZittel isS. biruncinatum (Qu.). This genus includes the species-group biruncinatum (Qu.) — admirandum (Zitt.). The new genus Volanoceras is created for the volanense (Opp.) species-group which is excluded from the genus Simoceras.  相似文献

Discorbis valvulata granulosa HERON-ALLEN and EARLAND, which has been found by the present authorsin the recent deposits of Watamu beach (Kenya), is the type-species of the genus RotorboidesSELLIER de CIVRIEUX, 1977. The study of this species has permitted to describe in detail its outer and inner morphology, to discuss its previous assignments (Discorbis, Rotorbinella) and to emend the genus Rotorboides.  相似文献

Here is described a new Ostracode genus, the species of which lived, from the Middle Tithonian to Upper Valanginian, in subbathyal-bathyal conditions of the Tethys ≪Sea≫. The type-species, with two subspecies, T. chabrensis chabrensis and T. chabrensis inflata, come from the vicinity of Angles and Barret-le-Bas (Alpes de Haute-Provence), where the future parastratotype of Valanginian will be located.  相似文献

The genus Simoedosaurus, whose distinction from Champsosaurus has recently been proven in Europe, exists also in the Clarkforkian of North America: four specimens in the Collection of Princeton University provide the evidence. This genus can be added to the already long list of forms common to the two continents at the beginning of the Eocene, which attests to the ease of migration from one to the other at this time.  相似文献

Any Acritarchs that previously were included in the genus Veryhachium (DEUNFF 1954) are transferred in the new genus Winwaloeusia.  相似文献

The study of imprints of Lycopsida from Permianof the Gondwana has permitted to specify the organisation of the leaf cushions and their variation in the genus LycopodiopsisB. Renault. The presence of a ligula is showed off. The invalidity of the genera Cyclodendron and Lycopodiophloios is demonstrated, and the species refered to these genera must be refered to the genus Lycopodiopsis for which an emended diagnosis is proposed.  相似文献

A new genus and its type-species: Andalucinetes hastatus nov. gen., nov. sp., are described and illustrated. The erection of the new genus is warranted by a comparison with the two more closely allied genera.  相似文献

The genus Primelephas Maglio 1970 gathers two primitive species of Elephantinae, only known through dental remains. A large sample of new fossils, discovered by the MPFT field missions in northern Chad Mio-Pliocene localities and attributed to this genus, allowed questioning the validity of one of the species. An intrageneric morphological variability analysis led us to consider this species as a synonym. Therefore, Primelephas should be conserved as a monospecific genus, P. korotorensis being its type and sole species. The provincialism previously described for Primelephas is rejected in favour of a large African distribution of P. korotorensis.  相似文献

After a few remarks on the coral fauna in deposits near La Roquelle in Cotentin, the genus Iowaphyllum is identifiedfor the first time in France. One species (I. bohemicum) is described here; it brings new paleogeographic and stratigraphic data.  相似文献

The alkaloid content of Lycopodium saururus, L. carolinianum, L. cernuum, L. clavatum, L. issleri, L. sitchense, L. carolinum, L. contiguum and L. thyoïdes has been investigated. The results obtained and the distribution of the alkaloids in the genus are discussed from a chemotaxonomic point of view.  相似文献

The questions relating to the type-species of genus PostepithyrisMakridin and to its systematic position within Terebratulids are discussed. The French species are described: besides the type-species P. cincta (Cotteau) from Upper Oxfordian, two species from Inferior Kimmeridgian can be included in this genus: P. minor (Douvillé) and P. dubisensis nov. sp.A new subspecies P. cincta mosensis nov., recently discovered in Oxfordian from East of the Paris Basin, can also be assigned to the genus.Postepithyris did not evolve through a single special facies: the species could supported different environmental conditions.  相似文献

The aim of this paper is to remark some morphologicaldifferences among the type-species of the genus ZurcheriaDouvillé and those species attributed to this genuf by Buckman & Brasil: the group of H. pugnaxVacek for which Schindewolf (1964) defined the genus Spinammatoceras, and the group of H. pertinaxVacek for which we propose Malladaites gen. nov.; new species of both genera are described. The stratigraphical range of these species is established in the Betic Cordillera.  相似文献

Most of the Tethyan species usually attributed to the genera Platypleuroceras, Uptonia and Dayiceras (Polymorphitidae) are in reality forms phylogenetically related to Metaderoceras, but which show convergence in their morphology. Their originality justifies the creation of a new genus, Dubariceras and two new species, D. dubari and D. freboldi. The palaeobiogeographic implications of this phylogenetic interpretation confirm the profound differences between Tethyan and Boreal faunas in the Carixian. The platycone Polymorphitidae (Platypleuroceras, Uptonia and Dayiceras) are almost completely restricted to the Boreal Realm, whereas the faunas of the Tethyan Realm largely comprise the Acanthopleuroceratidae (Tropidoceras), Metaderoceras and its allied genus Dubariceras.  相似文献

The genus Cibaster Pomel, 1883, with its type species Cibaster bourgeoisanus (d'Orbigny, 1853), has poorly diagnostic characters. So, authors comprise this genus as Cardiaster Forbes, 1850, or as Offaster Desor, 1858. The study of numerous specimens of Cibaster bourgeoisanus, from the Coniacian of the “Craie de Villedieu” in the stratotypical region, demonstrates that this species is paedomorphic compared to Cardiaster, with juvenile pore-pairs and a shallow frontal groove. The plastron structure is derived from the pattern found in Pseudholaster Pomel, 1883. A close relationship between Pseudholaster and Cibaster is probable, with Protocardiaster Smith and Wright, 2003 as intermediate. Cibaster is clearly distinct from Offaster, because this last genus have a meridosternal plastron.  相似文献

This work is mainly an answer to the work of Bert, Delanoy and Canut, on the genus Imerites Rouchadzé, and we add also some points to the knowledge of this genus. An answer is given for the implication of one of the authors (J.V.) of this present work, about the origin of the genus Imerites Rouchadzé, and some significant bibliographic references, not named in the 2009 work, are specified and placed in their context. The characteristics of the ornamental stage “Pseudoshasticrioceras” mainly defined by an oval and compressed section of the whorls and by regular ventrolateral clavi, well marked, which frame the venter in a typical way (Bert et al., p. 181), don’t allow to affirm the presence of this stage during the ontogeny of all species of the genus Imerites Rouchadzé, contrary to what Bert, Delanoy and Canut (p. 30, 31) wrote. The type-species of the genus Imerites Rouchadzé is made clear by the application of the rules of the I.C.Z.N. code. The article 23, with the paragraph 23.1 of the I.C.Z.N. code, imply the senior synonymy of Imerites cristatus (Orbigny) on Imerites giraudi (Kilian), even if the Kilian's species is still the type species of the genus Imerites Rouchadzé. The taxinomical validity of the species Imerites cristatus (Orbigny) is confirmed. Its morphological variability is clarified by the distinction of four referential morphotypes, Cristatus, Giraudi, Favrei and Raricostatum. Consequently, the assumption of a shape-dimensional dimorphism into the populations of the genus Imerites Rouchadzé is rejected, awaiting irrefutable proof. A new species, Imerites stephaniae sp. nov., is described. It was collected in the Gerhardtia sartousiana Zone, in the uppermost part of the Gerhardtia provincialis Subzone, and it is a probable ancestor of the cogeneric species of the Imerites giraudi Zone.  相似文献
