African Americans (AAs) tend to have lower total adiponectin levels compared to European Americans (EA); however, it is not known whether race affects adiponectin multimer distribution and their relationships to metabolic traits. We measured total adiponectin, high molecular weight (HMW), low molecular weight (LMW) (i.e., hexamer), and trimer adiponectin in 132 normoglycemic premenopausal women (75 AAs, 57 EAs), together with measures of total and abdominal fat, plasma lipids, insulin sensitivity (S(i)), and genetic admixture estimates. We found that lower total adiponectin in AAs was explained by reduced LMW, and trimer forms because levels of HMW did not differ between races. In EAs, HMW was highly correlated with multiple metabolic syndrome traits. In contrast, the LMW and trimer forms were most highly correlated with metabolic traits in AAs, including abdominal adiposity, lipids, and S(i). At similar levels of visceral adiposity, AAs exhibited significantly lower LMW adiponectin than EAs. Similarly, at comparable levels of HMW and LMW adiponectin, AAs were more insulin resistant than their EA counterparts. In conclusion, (i) serum adiponectin is lower in AAs predominantly as a result of reduced concentrations of LMW and trimers multimeric forms; (ii) LMW and trimer, not HMW, are most broadly correlated with metabolic traits in AAs. Thus, HMW adiponectin may exert less bioactivity in explaining the metabolic syndrome trait cluster in populations of predominant African genetic background.  相似文献

Adiponectin is a multifunctional adipokine that circulates as several oligomeric complexes in the blood stream. However, the molecular basis that regulates the production of the adiponectin oligomers remains largely elusive. We have shown previously that several conserved lysine residues (positions 68, 71, 80, and 104) within the collagenous domain of adiponectin are modified by hydroxylation and glycosylation (Wang, Y., Xu, A., Knight, C., Xu, L. Y., and Cooper, G. J. (2002) J. Biol. Chem. 277, 19521-19529). Here, we investigated the potential roles of these post-translational modifications in oligomeric complex formation of adiponectin. Gel filtration chromatography revealed that adiponectin produced from mammalian cells formed trimeric, hexameric, and high molecular weight (HMW) oligomeric complexes. These three oligomeric forms were differentially glycosylated, with the HMW oligomer having the highest carbohydrate content. Disruption of hydroxylation and glycosylation by substitution of the four conserved lysines with arginines selectively abrogated the intracellular assembly of the HMW oligomers in vitro as well as in vivo. In type 2 diabetic patients, both the ratios of HMW to total adiponectin and the degree of adiponectin glycosylation were significantly decreased compared with healthy controls. Functional studies of adiponectin-null mice revealed that abrogation of lysine hydroxylation/glycosylation markedly decreased the ability of adiponectin to stimulate phosphorylation of AMP-activated protein kinase in liver tissue. Chronic treatment of db/db diabetic mice with wild-type adiponectin alleviated hyperglycemia, hypertriglyceridemia, hepatic steatosis, and insulin resistance, whereas full-length adiponectin without proper post-translational modifications and HMW oligomers showed substantially decreased activities. Taken together, these data suggest that hydroxylation and glycosylation of the lysine residues within the collagenous domain of adiponectin are critically involved in regulating the formation of its HMW oligomeric complex and consequently contribute to the insulin-sensitizing activity of adiponectin in hepatocytes.  相似文献

Adiponectin is assembled into trimer (LMW), hexamer (MMW) and high-molecular-weight (HMW) multimer in adipocytes. The HMW adiponectin is more metabolically active and closely associated with peripheral insulin sensitivity. In this study, we reported that berberine, an isoquinoline alkaloid with insulin-sensitizing effect, inhibits the expression of adiponectin, but promotes the assembly of HMW adiponectin and increases the ratio of HMW to total adiponectin. Berberine activates AMPK. Knockdown of AMPKα1 abolishes the effect of berberine. Activation of AMPK by AICAR also increases the level of HMW adiponectin. Our study suggested that activation of AMPK by berberine promotes adiponectin multimerization.  相似文献

Objective: Our objective was to test the effect of biliopancreatic diversion (BDP) in adiponectin multimerization. Adiponectin, the major protein secreted by adipose tissue, circulates in plasma in different isoforms. The most clinically relevant oligomers are high‐molecular weight (HMW) multimers and low‐molecular weight (LMW) trimers. Contrasting data on the effect of weight loss on adiponectin isoforms have been reported. Research Methods and Procedures: We measured total plasma adiponectin and HMW and LMW adiponectin oligomers (by Western blot analysis) before and 1 month after BPD, in 18 severely obese subjects. Results: One month after BPD, body weight decreased ~11%. Total adiponectin showed significant increase after BPD. In addition, we found a significant increase in HMW (percentage) adiponectin oligomers. We found a significant inverse correlation between HMW (percentage) and BMI before and after BPD. Homeostasis model of assessment‐insulin resistance decreased significantly after the BPD, without any significant correlation with total serum adiponectin and adiponectin oligomers. Discussion: A moderate weight loss after BPD increases total and HMW adiponectin oligomers. The significant correlation between BMI and HMW (percentage) adiponectin oligomers but not between BMI and total adiponectin might indicate a role of body fat mass in regulation of adiponectin multimerization. These data suggest that HMW oligomers represent a very sensitive parameter to short‐term BMI changes after BPD.  相似文献

We evaluated total adiponectin, high-molecular weight (HMW), medium-molecular weight (MMW), low-molecular weight (LMW) adiponectin subfractions, clinical parameters, routine lab parameters, lipids, metabolic, inflammatory biomarkers, and intima-media thickness (IMT) of common carotid arteries in 70 obese juveniles and adolescents with preatherosclerosis and 55 normal weight controls of similar age and gender distribution. Compared with the controls, the obese probands had a significantly increased IMT (P < 0.001) and elevated ultra-sensitive C-reactive protein (P < 0.001) indicating early vascular burden. Total and HMW adiponectin were significantly decreased in the obese cohort. The ratio between HMW and total adiponectin was significantly decreased in obese probands whereas the LMW/total adiponectin ratio was increased. Overall, total-, HMW, and MMW adiponectin were significantly negatively correlated with carotid IMT. The HMW/total adiponectin ratio correlated significantly negatively, and the LMW/total adiponectin ratio significantly positively with the IMT. Furthermore, HMW adiponectin was significantly positively correlated with high-density lipoprotein (HDL)-cholesterol and serum apolipoprotein A1, and negatively with BMI, triglycerides, homeostatic model assessment (HOMA)-index, leptin, liver transaminases, and uric acid. This remained stable after controlling for gender. Multiple regression analysis of body measures and all other lab parameters showed the strongest correlation between HMW adiponectin and carotid IMT (beta = -0.35, P < 0.001). Taken together, our study provides the first evidence that preatherosclerosis in obese juveniles and adolescents is associated with altered subfractions of adiponectin, whereas after multiple testing the HMW subfraction showed a better correlation to IMT compared with total adiponectin.  相似文献

OBJECTIVE: An association between cerebral infarct risk factors and serum adiponectin levels (both total and separate isoforms) has previously been identified. The aim of this study was to assess circulating levels of all forms of adiponectin in the course of an ischemic stroke. Material and methods: Adiponectin and its isoforms (HMW, MMW and LMW) were measured in serum samples taken from 38 women in the first 24 hours of cerebral infarct and 38 controls matched for gender, body mass index (BMI) and age. In addition, biochemical parameters (glucose, insulin, lipid profile) and clinical data (blood pressure, weight, and height) were evaluated. Results: A significant reduction in serum levels of adiponectin and all examined fractions of this adipokine was observed in women suffering from acute ischemic stroke, compared with the matched controls. Conclusions: Differences in the serum adiponectin array between stroke subjects and controls were identified and further studies are required to investigate the clinical implications of this finding.  相似文献

Circulating adiponectin is reduced in disorders associated with insulin resistance. This study was conducted to determine whether an exercise/diet intervention would alter adiponectin multimer distribution and adiponectin receptor expression in skeletal muscle. Impaired glucose-tolerant older (>60 yr) obese (BMI 30-40 kg/m(2)) men (n = 7) and women (n = 14) were randomly assigned to 12 wk of supervised aerobic exercise combined with either a hypocaloric (ExHypo, approximately 500 kcal reduction, n = 11) or eucaloric diet (ExEu, n = 10). Insulin sensitivity was determined by the euglycemic (5.0 mM) hyperinsulinemic (40 mU x m(-2) x min(-1)) clamp. Adiponectin multimers [high (HMW), middle (MMW), and low molecular weight (LMW)] were measured by nondenaturing Western blot analysis. Relative quantification of adiponectin receptor expression through RT-PCR was determined from skeletal muscle biopsy samples. Greater weight loss occurred in ExHypo compared with ExEu subjects (8.0 +/- 0.6 vs. 3.2 +/- 0.6%, P < 0.0001). Insulin sensitivity improved postintervention in both groups (ExHypo: 2.5 +/- 0.3 vs. 4.4 +/- 0.5 mg x kg FFM(-1) x min(-1), and ExEu: 2.9 +/- 0.4 vs. 4.1 +/- 0.4 mg x kg FFM(-1) x min(-1), P < 0.0001). Comparison of multimer isoforms revealed a decreased percentage in MMW relative to HMW and LMW (P < 0.03). The adiponectin SA ratio (HMW/total) was increased following both interventions (P < 0.05) and correlated with the percent change in insulin sensitivity (P < 0.03). Postintervention adiponectin receptor mRNA expression was also significantly increased (AdipoR1 P < 0.03, AdipoR2 P < 0.02). These data suggest that part of the improvement in insulin sensitivity following exercise and diet may be due to changes in the adiponectin oligomeric distribution and enhanced membrane receptor expression.  相似文献

We show that Topiramate (TPM) treatment normalizes whole body insulin sensitivity in high-fat diet (HFD)-fed male Wistar rats. Thus drug treatment markedly lowered glucose and insulin levels during glucose tolerance tests and caused increased insulin sensitization in adipose and muscle tissues as assessed by euglycemic clamp studies. The insulin-stimulated glucose disposal rate increased twofold (indicating enhanced muscle insulin sensitivity), and suppression of circulating FFAs increased by 200 to 300%, consistent with increased adipose tissue insulin sensitivity. There were no effects of TPM on hepatic insulin sensitivity in these TPM-treated HFD-fed rats. In addition, TPM administration resulted in a three- to fourfold increase in circulating levels of total and high-molecular-weight (HMW) adiponectin (Acrp30). Western blot analysis revealed normal AMPK (Thr(172)) phosphorylation in liver with a twofold increased phospho-AMPK in skeletal muscle in TPM-treated rats. In conclusion, 1) TPM treatment prevents overall insulin resistance in HFD male Wistar rats; 2) drug treatment improved insulin sensitivity in skeletal muscle and adipose tissue associated with enhanced AMPK phosphorylation; and 3) the tissue "specific" effects are associated with increased serum levels of adiponectin, particularly the HMW component.  相似文献

We aimed at determining which circulating forms of the adipokine adiponectin that increases lipid oxidation in liver and skeletal muscle are related to ectopic fat in these depots in humans. Plasma total‐, high‐molecular weight (HMW)‐, middle‐molecular weight (MMW)‐, and low‐molecular weight (LMW) adiponectin were quantified by an enzyme‐linked immunosorbent assay. Their relationships with liver‐ and intramyocellular fat, measured using 1H magnetic resonance spectroscopy, were investigated in 54 whites without type 2 diabetes. Liver fat, adjusted for gender, age, and total body fat, was associated only with HMW adiponectin (r = ?0.35, P = 0.012), but not with total‐, MMW‐, or LMW adiponectin. In addition, subjects with fatty liver (liver fat ≥5.56%, n = 15) had significantly lower HMW‐ (P = 0.04), but not total‐, MMW‐, or LMW adiponectin levels, compared to controls (n = 39). Similarly, intramyocellular fat correlated only with HMW (r = ?0.32, P = 0.039), but not with the other circulating forms of adiponectin. These data indicate that, among circulating forms of adiponectin, HMW is strongly related to ectopic fat, thus possibly representing the form of adiponectin regulating lipid oxidation in liver and skeletal muscle.  相似文献

Rexinoids and thiazolidinediones (TZDs) are two classes of nuclear receptor ligands that induce insulin sensitization in diabetic rodents. TZDs are peroxisome proliferator-activated receptor gamma (PPARgamma) activators, whereas rexinoids are selective ligands for the retinoid X receptors (RXRs). Activation of both the insulin receptor substrates (IRSs)/Akt and the c-Cbl-associated protein (CAP)/c-Cbl pathways are important in regulating insulin-stimulated glucose transport. We have compared the effects of a rexinoid (LG268) and a TZD (rosiglitazone) on these two signal pathways in skeletal muscle of diabetic (db/db) mice. The results we have obtained show that treatment of db/db mice with either LG268 or rosiglitazone for 2 weeks results in a significant increase in insulin-stimulated glucose transport activity in skeletal muscle. Treatment with LG268 increases insulin-stimulated IRS-1 tyrosine phosphorylation and Akt phosphorylation in skeletal muscle without affecting the activity of the CAP/c-Cbl pathway. In contrast, rosiglitazone increases the levels of CAP expression and insulin-stimulated c-Cbl phosphorylation without affecting the IRS-1/Akt pathway. The effects of LG268 on the IRS-1/Akt pathway were associated with a decrease in the level of IRS-1 Ser(307) phosphorylation. Taken together, these data suggest that rexinoids improve insulin sensitivity via changes in skeletal muscle metabolism that are distinct from those induced by TZDs. Rexinoids represent a novel class of insulin sensitizers with potential applications in the treatment of insulin resistance.  相似文献

Adiponectin is an important insulin‐sensitizing adipokine with multiple beneficial effects on obesity‐associated medical complications. It is secreted from adipocytes into circulation as high, medium, and low molecular weight forms (HMW, MMW, and LMW). Each oligomeric form of adiponectin exerts non‐overlapping biological functions, with the HMW oligomer possessing the most potent insulin‐sensitizing activity. In this study, we reported that emodin, a natural product and active ingredient of various Chinese herbs, activates AMPK in both 3T3‐L1 adipocytes and 293T cells. Activation of AMPK by emodin promotes the assembly of HMW adiponectin and increases the ratio of HMW adiponectin to total adiponectin in 3T1‐L1 adipocytes. Emodin might activate AMPK by an indirect mechanism similar to berberine. We also found that emodin activates PPARγ and promotes differentiation and adiponectin expression during differentiation of 3T3‐L1 preadipocytes. Therefore, emodin is a novel AMPK activator with PPARγ‐agonist activity. Our results demonstrate that the effects of emodin on adiponectin expression and multimerization are the ultimate effects resulting from both AMPK activation and PPARγ activation. The dual‐activity makes emodin or the derivatives potential drug candidates for the treatment of type 2 diabetes and other obesity‐related metabolic diseases. J. Cell. The adipose tissue-derived hormone adiponectin improves insulin sensitivity and its circulating levels are decreased in obesity-induced insulin resistance. Here, we report the generation of a mouse line with a genomic disruption of the adiponectin locus. We aimed to identify whether these mice develop insulin resistance and which are the primary target tissues affected in this model. Using euglycemic/insulin clamp studies, we demonstrate that these mice display severe hepatic but not peripheral insulin resistance. Furthermore, we wanted to test whether the lack of adiponectin magnifies the impairments of glucose homeostasis in the context of a dietary challenge. When exposed to high fat diet, adiponectin null mice rapidly develop glucose intolerance. Specific PPARgamma agonists such as thiazolidinediones (TZDs) improve insulin sensitivity by mechanisms largely unknown. Circulating adiponectin levels are significantly up-regulated in vivo upon activation of PPARgamma. Both TZDs and adiponectin have been shown to activate AMP-activated protein kinase (AMPK) in the same target tissues. We wanted to address whether the ability of TZDs to improve glucose tolerance is dependent on adiponectin and whether this improvement involved AMPK activation. We demonstrate that the ability of PPARgamma agonists to improve glucose tolerance in ob/ob mice lacking adiponectin is diminished. Adiponectin is required for the activation of AMPK upon TZD administration in both liver and muscle. In summary, adiponectin is an important contributor to PPARgamma-mediated improvements in glucose tolerance through mechanisms that involve the activation of the AMPK pathway.  相似文献

Adiponectin is a plasma protein exclusively secreted from fat tissue. Many recent pharmacological studies suggest that recombinant adiponectin has multiple therapeutic potentials for obesity-related metabolic disorders, including type 2 diabetes, dyslipidemia, insulin resistance and atherosclerosis. However, the physiological relevance of these findings remains to be further established. In the present study, we have purified endogenous adiponectin from fetal bovine serum and characterized its post-translational modifications and physiological functions in animal models. Endogenous bovine serum adiponectin consists predominantly of full-length proteins that form multiple oligomeric complexes, including trimers, hexamers and higher molecular species. Two-dimensional gel electrophoresis revealed that bovine serum adiponectin exists as multiple post-translationally modified isoforms with distinct molecular weight and isoelectric point. Further analysis using mass spectrometry and Edman degradation sequencing demonstrated that five conserved lysine residues (Lys 28, 60, 63, 72 and 96) within the collagenous domain of bovine adiponectin are hydroxylated and glycosylated by a glucosyl alpha(1-2)galactosyl group. Injection of endogenous bovine adiponectin into C57 mice potently decreased circulating glucose levels and enhanced lipid clearance after a high fat meal. Chronic administration of this protein for a period of two weeks significantly increased insulin sensitivity and glucose tolerance, and depleted hepatic lipid accumulation in high-fat fed mice. These results provide direct evidence that endogenous bovine adiponectin is a physiological hormone that can regulate lipid and glucose metabolism.  相似文献

Higher levels of the adipocyte‐specific hormone adiponectin have been linked to increased high‐density lipoprotein (HDL) and lower insulin resistance. This study was conducted to determine the influence of macronutrient intake on adiponectin levels. One hundred and sixty‐four pre‐ and stage‐1 hypertensive adults participated in the Optimal Macro‐Nutrient Intake Heart (OMNI‐Heart) trial, a crossover feeding study originally testing the effects of macronutrients on blood pressure. Participants underwent three 6‐week feeding periods: one rich in carbohydrates (CARB), one rich in monounsaturated fat (MUFA), and one rich in protein (PROT), while maintaining body weight. Their median plasma high molecular weight (HMW) and total adiponectin levels were 2.3 and 8.2 µg/ml, respectively, resulting in an average of 27% HMW adiponectin. Both HMW and total adiponectin levels decreased after baseline while the percent HMW adiponectin remained unchanged. Between diets, the MUFA diet maintained a higher level of both HMW and total adiponectin levels than either the CARB (HMW: +6.8%, P = 0.02; total: +4.5%, P = 0.001) or PROT (HMW: +8.4%, P = 0.003; total: +5.6%, P < 0.001) diets. Changes in total adiponectin levels were positively correlated to changes in HDL cholesterol irrespective of diets (Spearman r = 0.22–0.40). No correlation was found between changes in lipids, blood pressure, or insulin resistance by the homeostasis model assessment (HOMAIR). Macronutrient intake has effects on HMW and total adiponectin levels independent of weight loss. A diet rich in MUFA was associated with higher levels of total and HMW adiponectin in comparison to a carbohydrate‐ or protein‐rich diet. Effects seen in adiponectin paralleled those found with HDL cholesterol.  相似文献

Circulating adiponectin levels are increased by the thiazolidinedione (TZD) class of PPARgamma agonists in concert with their insulin-sensitizing effects. Two receptors for adiponectin (AdipoR1 and AdipoR2) are widely expressed in many tissues, but their physiological significance to human insulin resistance remains to be fully elucidated. We examined the expression patterns of AdipoR1 and AdipoR2 in fat and skeletal muscle of human subjects, their relationship to insulin action, and whether they are regulated by TZDs. Expression patterns of both AdipoRs were similar in subcutaneous and omental fat depots, with higher expression in adipocytes than in stromal cells and macrophages. To determine the effects of TZDs on AdipoR expression, subcutaneous fat and quadriceps muscle were biopsied in 14 insulin-resistant subjects with type 2 diabetes mellitus after 45 mg pioglitazone or placebo for 21 days. This duration of pioglitazone improved insulin's suppression of glucose production by 41% and enhanced stimulation of glucose uptake by 27% in concert with increased gene expression and plasma levels of adiponectin. Pioglitazone did not affect AdipoR expression in muscle, whole fat, or cellular adipose fractions, and receptor expression did not correlate with baseline or TZD-enhanced insulin action. In summary, both adiponectin receptors are expressed in cellular fractions of human fat, particularly adipocytes. TZD administration for sufficient duration to improve insulin action and increase adiponectin levels did not affect expression of AdipoR1 or AdipoR2. Although TZDs probably exert many of their effects via adiponectin, changes in these receptors do not appear to be necessary for their insulin-sensitizing effects.  相似文献

Reduced plasma adiponectin levels are associated with insulin resistance. Black South Africans, like African Americans, are more insulin-resistant than BMI-matched white subjects, as are Asian Indians. We investigated whether this interethnic variation in insulin resistance is due to differences in plasma adiponectin levels. Blood and anthropometric measurements were taken from black, white and Asian-Indian subjects. Serum adiponectin, lipids, glucose and insulin were measured; insulin sensitivity was calculated using HOMA. Black (HOMA = 2.62 +/- 0.99) and Asian-Indian subjects (HOMA = 3.41 +/- 2.85) were more insulin-resistant than BMI-matched white (HOMA = 1.76 +/- 0.63) subjects (p = 0.0001). Furthermore, the white subjects had higher adiponectin levels (8.11 +/- 4.39 microg/ml) compared to black (5.71 +/- 2.50 microg/ml) and Asian Indian (5.86 +/- 2.50 microg/ml) subjects (p = 0.003). When all ethnic groups were combined, multiple regression analysis demonstrated that serum adiponectin levels corrected for BMI and ethnicity did not correlate with HOMA, but did explain 10.0 % of the variance in HDL-cholesterol levels. Within each ethnic group, adiponectin only correlated inversely with HOMA in white subjects. Adiponectin may play a role in determining serum HDL-cholesterol levels, but ethnic variation in insulin sensitivity is not dependent on serum levels of this adipokine. The relationship between adiponectin and insulin resistance varies across ethnic groups.  相似文献

Fibroblast growth factor-2 (FGF-2) is made by osteoblasts and modulates their function. There are high molecular weight (HMW) protein isoforms of FGF-2 that have nuclear localization sequences and a low molecular weight (LMW) 18 kDa FGF-2 protein that is exported from cells. Since FGF-2 is a trophic factor and potent mitogen for osteoblasts, the goal of this study was to utilize targeted overexpression of FGF-2 as a novel means of assessing different FGF-2 isoforms on osteoblastic cell viability and proliferation. Either LMW or HMW human Fgf2 cDNAs were cloned downstream of 3.6 kb alpha1(I)-collagen 5' regulatory elements (Col 3.6). A set of expression vectors, called Col3.6-Fgf2 isoforms-IRES-GFPsaph, capable of concurrently overexpressing either LMW or HMW FGF-2 isoforms concomitant with GFPsaph from a single bicistronic mRNA were built. Viable cell number in ROS 17/2.8 cells stably transfected with Vector (Col3.6-IRES-GFPsaph) versus each of the Col3.6-Fgf2-IRES-GFPsaph constructs were compared. In the presence of 1 or 10% serum, DNA synthesis was increased in cells expressing any isoform of FGF-2 compared with vector. However, cells transfected with HMW isoform had augmented DNA synthesis in 1 or 10% serum compared with cells expressing either ALL or LMW FGF-2 isoforms. A neutralizing FGF-2 antibody significantly reduced the mitogenic response in cells harboring ALL or the LMW FGF-2 isoforms but did not block the mitogenic effect of cells harboring the HMW isoforms. In summary, overexpression of any isoform of FGF-2 protein increased viable cell number and OB proliferation in the presence of low or high concentrations of serum. However, the HMW/nuclear isoforms preferentially mediate augmented OB proliferation. We conclude that differential expression of FGF-2 proteins isoforms is important in modulating OB function.  相似文献

Adiponectin, an adipokine with insulin-sensitizing effect, is secreted from adipocytes into circulation as high, medium, and low molecular weight forms (HMW, MMW, and LMW). The HMW adiponectin oligomers possess the most potent insulin-sensitizing activity. WSF-P-1(N-methyl-1,2,3,4,5,6-hexahydro-1,1,5,5-tetramethyl-7H-2,4α-methanonaphthalen-7-amine) is derived from natural sesquiterpene longifolene by chemical modifications. We found that WSF-P-1 activates AMPK in both 3T3-L1 adipocytes and 293T cells in this study. Activation of AMPK by WSF-P-1 promotes the assembly of HMW adiponectin and increases the HMW/total ratio of adiponectin in 3T3-L1 adipocytes. We demonstrated that the Ca2+-dependent CaMKK signaling pathway is involved in WSF-P-1-induced AMPK activation and adiponectin multimerization. WSF-P-1 also activates GLUT1-mediated glucose uptake in 3T3-L1 adipocytes, making it a potential drug candidate for the treatment of type 2 diabetes, obesity, and other obesity-related metabolic diseases.  相似文献
