Penile curvatures are common. They are caused by tethering inelastic tissues that can be from the skin externally, from the congenital fibrous tissue of hypospadias and epispadias, and from inelastic tunica albuginea as in fractures, trauma, or Peyronie's disease. At the present time, with sexual organs exposed in photographs, human sexuality talked about with more freedom, and sexual experiences more open, a great deal of mental stress and anxiety can be produced by penile curvatures. Adjunct to this are impotency and other sexual problems. Surgical treatment is generally curative with grafts, flaps, excision of tunica albuginea, or repositioning and coaptation of the corporal bodies. Also, the use of a sex therapist can offer additional aid to the physician and realistic acceptance by the patient. More attention should be given to the patient with this problem. It is not well recognized by most physicians, and therefore, patients may suffer needlessly in silence without adequate help.  相似文献

Penile tinea     
Twenty six adult male patients with superficial mycotic infection of the penis are described. Sixteen of these had scrotal involvement as well. Ontogenetic changes of rates of photon-saturated photosynthesis (P sat) and dark respiration (R D) of individual leaves were examined in relation to nitrogen content (Nc) in rice, winter wheat, maize, soybean, field bean, tomato, potato, and beet. P sat was positively correlated with Nc as follows: P sat = CfNc + P sat0, where Cf and P sat0 are coefficients. The value of Cf was high in maize, medium in rice and soybean, and low in field bean, potato, tomato, and beet, of which difference was not explained by ribulose-1,5-bisphoshate carboxylase/oxygenase (RuBPCO) content. R D was explained by P sat and/or Nc, however, two models must be applied according to plant species. R D related linearly with P sat and Nc in maize, field bean, and potato as follows: R D = a P sat + b, or R D = aNc + b, where a, a, b and b are coefficients. In other species, the R D/P sat ratio increased exponentially with the decrease of Nc as follows: R D/P sat = a exp(b Nc), where a and b are coefficients. Therefore, R D in these crops was expressed as follows: In(R D) = ln(a P sat) + b Nc, indicating that R D in these crops was regulated by both P sat and Nc.  相似文献

This study on five patients has revealed more extensive alterations to melanocytes than previously reported, and emphasizes the fact that depigmentation is an essential element of the condition. In hyperpigmented areas, melanocytes were increased in number along the basal layer of the epithelium, were hyperactive, and in some cases contained bizarre melanosomes. In two cases there was suggestion of a defect in melanosome transfer to keratinocytes. Lymphocytes were closely apposed to melanocytes, and, in hypopigmented areas, were clearly involved in their disintegration. In depigmented areas, there was complete absence of melanocytes and of melanosomes in keratinocytes, and lymphocytes were present in the basal layer. In general, the appearances did not resemble melanoma in situ with spontaneous regression, although a second biopsy of one patient after one year did reveal features of melanocytes suggestive of an early stage of this condition. The study has provided no clear information as to the initial cause of the condition, but the manner of destruction of melanocytes suggests an immune reaction. Neither has it been of assistance in suggesting a more precise name for it.  相似文献
