惠州西湖底泥中氮磷特征的初步研究   总被引:13,自引:0,他引:13  
惠州西湖为典型的亚热带城市浅水湖泊.为了调查该湖泊底泥性质了解底泥对水质的影响.2004年8月在惠州西湖5个子湖(南湖、丰湖、平湖、菱湖和鳄湖)采集了6个底泥柱样,对其含水率、烧失量(LOI)、总氮(TN)、总磷(TP)、藻类可利用性磷(AAP)和粒度的垂向特征进行了初步研究.结果表明,各子湖中南湖内源负荷最大,底泥中的LOI、TN、TP和AAP含量高于其他湖区数倍以上,表层值较高,表明曾遭受过严重的污染,而其它湖区的垂向变化不明显.底泥成分以粘土、粉砂为主,水体混浊度高可能与底泥粒径较小以及鱼类和游船活动的强扰动性有关.  相似文献

In 2001, the municipality of Lausanne extended the outlet pipe of the sewage treatment plant into the Bay of Vidy (Lake Geneva, Switzerland) as a measure to reduce bacterial water pollution and sediment contamination close to the lake beaches. The aim of the present study was to assess the impact of this measure. Lake bottom sediments were collected and analyzed for grain size, organic matter, organic carbon, nitrogen, phosphorus, heavy metals and hydrophobic organic compounds to evaluate their concentration and spatial distribution. Our results demonstrate that, compared to results obtained before the outlet pipe prolongation, the surface area of highly contaminated sediments was reduced by one third after the pipe extension. However, contaminant concentrations are still high and the accumulation of pollutants may represent a significant source of toxicity for benthic organisms. One concludes that contaminant reduction at the source will be necessary for a further improvement.  相似文献

Analyses of trace metals on multiple sediment cores from the whole-lake basin of Lochnagar, Scotland, show that the depth of departure from stable values towards a rapid increase of the Pb/Ti and Hg concentration profiles provides a good dating feature for the 1860s. In relatively shallow areas of the lake, inferred sediment accumulation rates and the trace metal inventories change with water depth, but in the deep water area, sediment accumulation rates are lower than in most other areas of the lake. Mercury, Pb, Cu and Zn inventories in the sediments accumulated since 1860 in the deepest area are 61%, 64%, 73% and 56% of the corresponding average inventories for the whole sediment area of the lake, respectively. This is mainly due to low sediment accumulation in the deep basin. This finding differs from the expected sediment focusing pattern and makes quantitative interpretations of palaeolimnological features using sediments from the deep area of this lake difficult. The influence of sediment focusing from the north-eastern side, the largest portion of the sediment area of the lake basin, on the deepest area of the lake may be limited, so the sediments in the north-east could be difficult to be transported to the deepest area through sediment focusing. Therefore, the sediments in the deepest area of the lake may not represent the whole-lake basin well for the relative abundances of different types of fossils.  相似文献

The data on benzo(a)pyrene (BaP) and other polynuclear aromatic hydrocarbons (PAH) pollution of Lake Peipsi and its tributaries in the 1970s–1980s have been summarized. Systematic data on the pollution of Lake Peipsi by BaP are available. The BaP content in lake water varied from <0.1 to 237 ng 1–1. The content and qualitative composition of PAH varied in different observations. PAH were accumulated mainly in the bottom sediments; in their surface layer BaP concentrations were 103–106 times higher than in water. The concentration of the PAH in bottom sediments varied from 16 to 580 µg kg–1 in the lake and from 40 to 2800 µg kg–1 in its tributaries. The content of BaP in fish and biota was not high. Among the pollution sources the atmospheric pollution played quite a significant role. The lake was also polluted by oil spillage and fuel exhausts from boats and ships. The PAH concentration in the water of the tributaries was somewhat higher than in the area of Lake Peipsi.  相似文献

The average composition of water, bottom sediments, manganese (Mn) crusts, and Mn concretions from Lake Biwa (the largest freshwater lake in Japan) are re-examined, in conjunction with those of seawater, oceanic pelagic clay, and deep-sea Mn nodules. The purpose is to gain additional insights into the geochemical behaviors of elements in Lake Biwa and the ocean, which are quite different in ionic strength (or salinity), pH, water residence times, sediment accumulation rates, carbon fluxes to sediments, and the redox potential in sediments. Excluding a few millimeters of oxic surface sediment, there is no appreciable accumulation of Mn in the Lake Biwa bottom sediments due to reducing condition there. Consequently, other B-type cations [such as iron (Fe), gallium (Ga), copper (Cu), lead (Pb), cobalt (Co), tin (Sn), and bismuth (Bi), with subshell valence electron configuration of d 1−10] are also less concentrated in the lake sediments than in the oceanic pelagic clay. In turn, B-type cations have much higher dissolved concentrations in the lake water than in the ocean. The rare earth elements (REE) mainly form organic complexes in the lake water and carbonate complexes in the ocean. REE are mostly associated with detritus aluminosilicate phases in Lake Biwa sediments but with phosphate phases in deep-sea sediments. Fe and Mn oxide phases are clearly separated in marine Mn nodules and crusts but not in Mn crusts and concretions from Lake Biwa. Useful parameters such as the enrichment factor (E Al) and logarithms of the distribution coefficient (log K d) of elements between solid and liquid phases were estimated in both systems for further discussions.  相似文献

生态需水是河流与湖泊生态系统健康的重要基础。湖泊流域的河流与湖泊生态系统之间存在密切的水量联系,目前对流域内生态用水的研究多为单一生态系统生态需水简单相加,忽略了河流和湖泊之间复杂的水量联系。基于河湖复合生态系统之间的水量联系构建了河湖生态系统生态用水优化模型,并以滇池为例分析了河湖生态系统生态用水规律。结果表明:湖泊流域中单一河流或湖泊生态需水计算结果不能满足复合生态系统的生态用水要求,需要综合考虑河流和湖泊之间的水量联系;在当前水质状况下,牛栏江每年的调水量不能满足滇池流域的生态用水要求;滇池流域水体污染对流域内生态用水影响较大,随着水体污染程度的下降,流域生态用水量和调水量呈指数下降,河流生态用水呈线性下降。  相似文献

Evaluation of recent limnological changes at Lake Apopka   总被引:4,自引:0,他引:4  
Recent changes in submersed macrophytes and water quality variables have been offered as the strongest evidence that the current restoration program at Lake Apopka will be effective (Lowe et al., 2000); however, the new beds of submersed plants in Lake Apopka are found only on hard substrates on the fringes of the lake within 40 m of shore and are protected from waves by cattails (Typha spp.). They occupy only 0.02% of the lake area, and there is no indication that they can colonize the flocculent sediments that make up 90% of the lake area. There is no correlation between annual inputs of phosphorus and total phosphorus concentrations in the lake, and patterns of change in chlorophyll and other water quality variables do not follow changes in phosphorus loads. Rather than reflecting decreases in phosphorus loading, the recent changes could be related to the harvest of benthivorous fish or are just the normal fluctuations found in lakes that have not been perturbed. Regardless of the reason the macrophytes were lost in the 1940s, the new analyses confirm our previous findings that the high turbidities in Lake Apopka are due to the resuspension of sediments, and that the fluid mud cannot support the colonization of submersed aquatic macrophytes. Even without the fluid mud, the target phosphorus concentration of 55 mg m–3 is too high to bring about the restoration of the former macrophyte beds in the lake.  相似文献

水污染是我国湖泊生态系统面临的主要环境问题,评估污染条件下湖泊生态系统服务价值对认识和恢复污染湖泊生态功能具有重要意义。针对当前湖泊生态系统服务价值评估方法中未体现水污染负面影响的问题,在传统生态系统服务功能价值评估框架的基础上,将水污染造成的经济损失内化到生态系统服务功能价值中,提出了针对污染湖泊的生态系统服务功能价值评估方法。应用该方法核算了滇池生态系统服务净价值。结果表明:2006—2015年滇池年均生态系统服务功能价值为386.55亿元/a,水污染改变了滇池的价值结构,供水价值丧失,气候调节、旅游和蓄水等成为滇池生态系统服务功能价值的主体;滇池水污染对流域内外经济社会发展造成的损失达到15.23亿元/a,主要经济损失体现在生态补水费用和蓝藻去除费用;综合湖泊生态系统服务的正向价值和水污染的负向损失,滇池的净生态系统服务价值为371.33亿元/a,占流域GDP的11.7%。将水污染损失纳入湖泊生态系统服务功能价值评估中增强了评价结果的合理性,能够更加真实地反映湖泊生态系统对人类经济社会发展的综合影响。  相似文献

In order to evaluate the current state of Lake Ladoga a comprehensive investigation of its pollution by metals, oil products, phenols, anionic detergents and 3,4-benzopyrene was carried out in July 1993. The results indicate a considerable pollution of the lake waters by metals and phenols. High degree of pollution of sediments by oil products and 3,4-benzopyrene was detected in the northern archipelago and bays (Impilahti, Hiidenselka, Pitkäranta) and in the area of Priozersk. A new index (I t ) is suggested for the estimation of biochemical self-purification capacity of freshwaters. Values of the index obtained for different parts of Lake Ladoga led us to the conclusion that at the present time the lake's capability for biochemical self-purification is relatively low. This situation is caused by strong anthropogenic impact on the lake. The approximate pollutant loads to Lake Ladoga were estimated on the basis of our 1991–1993 monitoring survey and from literature data.  相似文献

根据湖滨带生态系统的特点,运用综合健康指数法建立了湖滨带生态系统健康评价体系,由目标层、准则层、指标层构成,其中准则层由湖滨带水质状况、底泥状况、植被状况、其它生物状况(浮游动物、浮游植物、底栖动物)、岸带物理状况5项组成,指标层由总氮、总磷、溶解氧、挺水植物覆盖率等15项指标构成。采用专家打分法、熵值法分别确定了准则层、指标层的权重系数。对太湖湖滨带33个点位进行了采样分析,并进行无量纲化处理后应用到所建立的评价体系中。评价结果显示33个点位中为"很健康"、"健康"、"亚健康"、"疾病"、"严重疾病"的分别占0%、24.2%、21.2%、51.5%及3.0%,也即超过一半的点位处于"疾病"状态。只有东太湖刚刚超过"健康"分数的下限,东部沿岸、贡湖、南部沿岸均处于"亚健康"状态,而梅梁湾、竺山湾、西部沿岸属于"疾病"状态,且竺山湾的生态健康状态最差。该评价结果与太湖湖滨带各分区的实际调查情况相符合,评价方法可靠性、可行性较强,可为其它湖泊湖滨带的生态系统健康评价提供一定的参照。  相似文献

Lake Taihu is characterized by its shallowness (mean depth = 1.9 m) and large surface area (2,338 km2). Runoff sources are mostly from the mountainous west and southwest, and outflows are located throughout East Taihu. This causes shorter retention times in the south. In contrast, urban pollutants discharge into northern Taihu and result in poor water quality. Non-point pollution from rural areas and sewage wastewater is the primary pollution source. Water current velocity ranges from 10–30 cm s−1, and surface currents normally follow wind direction. Bottom currents appear to be a compensation flow. Most wave heights are less than 40 cm, and underwater irradiance correlates to seston in the water column. Lacustrine sediment is distributed in littoral zones, mostly along the western shoreline, with almost no accumulation in the lake center. Intensive aquaculture in East Taihu caused eutrophication and hampered water supply in surrounding areas. In addition, development of marshiness in the eastern littoral zones and East Taihu has occurred. The function of flood discharging of East Taihu has been limited by flourishing macrophytes. The distribution, sources and potential ecological risk of heavy metals in the sediment of lakes in eastern China and other areas of the world that have undergone rapid economic development have been widely researched by scholars. However, this is not true for heavy metals in the sediment of rump lakes in the arid regions of China and world-wide. Because of this, we chose Aibi Lake to serve as a typical rump lake in an oasis in an arid area in northwest China for our study. Sediment samples were collected from the lake and then the quantities of the heavy metals Pb, Ni, Cd, Cu, Zn, Hg and Cr were measured. Then using a variety of statistical methods, we analyzed the distribution, sources, pollution status and the potential ecological risk of these metals. The results show that: (1) The amounts of the seven heavy metals all fell within the Second Soil National Standard, but the average and maximum values were all higher than the background values of Xinjiang in northwest China. (2) Multivariate statistical analysis determined that the Cd, Pb, Hg and Zn in the sediment were mainly derived from man-sources, and Cu, Ni, and Cr were mainly from the natural geological background. (3) Enrichment factor analysis and the geo-accumulation index evaluation method show that Cd, Hg and Pb in the surface sediment of the Aibi Lake were at low and partial pollution levels, while Zn, Cr, Ni and Cu were at no and low pollution levels. (4) Calculation of the potential ecological hazards index found that, among the seven tested heavy metals, Cd, Hg and Pb were the main potential ecological risk factors, and the contribution of each was 42.6%, 28.6%, and 24.0%, respectively. Cd is the main potential ecological risk factor, followed by Hg and Pb. This work revealed that recent economic development of the Aibi Lake Basin has negatively influenced the accumulation of heavy metals in the sediments of the lake, and, therefore, we should pay increasing attention to this problem and take effective measures to protect the ecology of the Aibi Lake Basin. This work can provide a scientific basis for an early warning of heavy metal pollution and for protection of the environment. Furthermore, it can serve as a reference when creating policies for the economic development in Aibi Lake Basin and environmental protection of rump lakes in arid regions of northwest China and other areas of the world.  相似文献

【目的】城市湖泊沉积物中的微生物群体是富营养环境生物修复的重要因素。本研究拟对中型富营养化湖泊——武汉东湖沉积物细菌群体结构及空间变化规律进行研究。加深对富营养湖泊微生物群体结构的理解,并为城市湖泊的保护和污染控制提供参考。【方法】采用16S r RNA基因RFLP分析和序列分析技术获得细菌群体系统发育信息。采用PCoA法分析武汉东湖沉积物细菌群体内以及与其它湖泊沉积物细菌群体间的相似性。采用CCA法分析环境因素对细菌群体的影响。【结果】武汉东湖沉积物细菌群体包含13个门和2个未知种群。PCoA分析进一步表明来自东湖3个子湖的细菌群体与其它地域富营养化湖泊的微生物种群结构相似,并区别于重度富营养化子湖庙湖的细菌群体。在庙湖中,我们发现了Thermogymnomonas类古菌的含量显著偏高。CCA分析表明细菌的分布与沉积物中碳、氮和磷元素的含量显著相关。【结论】本研究进一步确证了环境因素对细菌群体组成和分布的调节作用,加深了对富营养水体微生物群体结构的理解,并为城市湖泊的保护和污染控制提供了参考。  相似文献

Lake Balaton, the largest shallow lake in Central Europe, has no natural outlet, therefore, underwent water level changes during its 15,000–17,000 years of history. The lake is very sensitive to both climate changes and human impacts. Surroundings have been inhabited since the Stone Age; however, heavy human impact can be recognized during the past 6000 years. In this study, we established three different stages for and reconstructed water level changes of Lake Balaton by geochemical data, subfossil Cladocera and diatom remains in the sediments of the Zalavári Pond, a part of the Kis-Balaton wetland. In 9900–8600 cal. year BP, climate was dry, water level was low, and there was a wetland in this area. Although organic matter content was low in the sediment, the ratio of Fe/Mn was high. Between 5600 and 5000 cal. year BP, water level increased, Fe/Mn ratio shows that oxygen conditions of sediments was improved in agreement with the relatively low number of diatom remains and dense chydorid remains. About 5000 cal. year BP, water level of Lake Balaton decreased as indicated by high organic content with low carbonate and high Fe/Mn ratio in the sediments (oxygen depletion). At the bottom of this section, high Fe and S concentrations showed accumulation of pyrite (FeS2) that is common in wetlands with very low redox potential. Low abundance of Cladocera remains together with rich and diverse diatom flora confirm the low water level hypothesis. Our data support that the water level of Lake Balaton was higher between 8600 and 5000 cal. year BP than it is at present.  相似文献

Modern microbialites are often located within groundwater discharge zones, yet the role of groundwater in microbialite accretion has yet to be resolved. To understand relationships between groundwater, microbialites, and associated microbial communities, we quantified and characterized groundwater flow and chemistry in active thrombolitic microbialites in Lake Clifton, Western Australia, and compared these observations to inactive thrombolites and lakebed sediments. Groundwater flows upward through an interconnected network of pores within the microstructure of active thrombolites, discharging directly from thrombolite heads into the lake. This upwelling groundwater is fresher than lake water and is hypothesized to support microbial mat growth by reducing salinity and providing limiting nutrients in an osmotically stressful and oligotrophic habitat. This is in contrast to inactive thrombolites that show no evidence of microbial mat colonization and are infiltrated by hypersaline lake water. Groundwater discharge through active thrombolites contrasts with the surrounding lakebed, where hypersaline lake water flows downward through sandy sediments at very low rates. Based on an appreciation for the role of microorganisms in thrombolite accretion, our findings suggest conditions favorable to thrombolite formation still exist in certain locations of Lake Clifton despite increasing lake water salinity. This study is the first to characterize groundwater flow rates, paths, and chemistry within a microbialite‐forming environment and provides new insight into how groundwater can support microbial mats believed to contribute to microbialite formation in modern and ancient environments.  相似文献

A comprehensive study (chronological, lithological and geochemical) of an 8.5 m postglacial sediment sequence from Lake Peipsi was conducted to elucidate the effects of lake-level changes on the sedimentary environment and biogeochemical dynamics in a large lake. Four lithological units were distinguished in the sediment sequence studied: clayey silt, slightly laminated greyish carbonaceous gyttja, brownish-grey gyttja and dark gyttja. These units indicate that large shifts in sedimentation processes occurred in the past. The sediment data show that fluctuations in water depth had a profound impact on the lake environment, recorded as changes in the lithological composition, phosphorus content of sediments and composition of diatom assemblages. The corresponding changes are best reflected in sediments accumulated during phases of regression when the lake area was also smaller. As the water depth and area of the lake increased, wave-induced erosion and resedimentation smoothed or even disturbed the initial information. The increase of phosphorus content in the unconsolidated, high-porosity surface sediments (0.5 m) is most probably connected with active diffusion and matter exchange between the water-sediment pools.  相似文献

The capacity of a lake to remove reactive nitrogen (N) through denitrification has important implications both for the lake and for downstream ecosystems. In large oligotropic lakes such as Lake Superior, where nitrate (NO3 ?) concentrations have increased steadily over the past century, deep oxygen penetration into sediments may limit the denitrification rates. We tested the hypothesis that the position of the redox gradient in lake sediments affects denitrification by measuring net N-fluxes across the sediment–water interface for intact sediment cores collected across a range of sediment oxycline values from nearshore and offshore sites in Lake Superior, as well as sites in Lake Huron and Lake Erie. Across this redox gradient, as the thickness of the oxygenated sediment layer increased from Lake Erie to Lake Superior, fluxes of NH4 + and N2 out of the sediment decreased, and sediments shifted from a net sink to a net source of NO3 ?. Denitrification of NO3 ? from overlying water decreased with thickness of the oxygenated sediment layer. Our results indicate that, unlike sediments from Lake Erie and Lake Huron, Lake Superior sediments do not remove significant amounts of water column NO3 ? through denitrification, likely as a result of the thick oxygenated sediment layer.  相似文献

麻大湖位于山东省博兴、桓台、高青三县交界处 ,系由乌河、朱龙河、孝妇河等 7条河流汇水而成的内陆淡水湖泊。该湖自 196 6年始遭受淄博市工业废水严重污染 ,自然生态系统极度破坏 ,经济损失巨大。 2 0世纪 70年代中期 ,沿湖群众因受污染之苦而人民来信来访不断。直到 90年代初 ,该湖污染一直受到国务院和山东省政府的关注。在各级环保部门不懈努力下 ,该湖污染几经治理 ,取得一定成效 ,但仍没有使其污染生态得以恢复。为此 ,笔者于1994 - 1995年对麻大湖污染生态恢复模式进行了研究 ,并为滨州地区行署决定开发利用麻大湖提供了决策依据。…  相似文献

以白洋淀芦苇滩地为实验地,研究了湿地生态系统中潜水的水质状况.苇地潜水运动受到芦苇根孔的强烈影响.受芦苇根区生物呼吸作用的影响,潜水pH值(6.94士0.14)显著低于淀水(9.17).潜水中CO2分压约为淀水的85~1039倍.潜水水质类型在离淀2.7至6.7m发生变化,逐渐由ClN3转变为CCa.自苇地边缘至中央,HT(总硬度),Ar(总碱度)与∑C(主要离子总量)逐渐升高.潜水中Mg2+/Ca2+的平均摩尔比值为0.60,明显低于淀水(1.31).淀水和潜水Cl-,SO2-,Na++K+含量无显著差异,平均值分别是176,116和112mg/L.苇地濒水区为一过渡带,对磷氮污染物具备首先的过滤作用.在离淀0.7m处TN,TP和活性磷酸盐的减少量分别为63.3%,84.6%,80.8%.  相似文献

Sediments have a significant influence on the overlying water, and nutrient release from sediments is an important source for lake eutrophication, particularly in shallow lakes. Sediment resuspension is primarily driven by wind-induced currents. In this research, the correlation between release rate of suspended sediment and flow velocity was studied, and an experiment on hydrodynamic forces was conducted in a rectangle flume using water and sediments collected from three sites in Lake Taihu, a eutrophic lake in China. It was shown that the starting velocities of sediment in Lake Taihu at three different incipient standards gained from the experiment were 15, 30, and 40 cm s−1 and the release rate of suspended sediment could reach up to 643.4, 5377.1, and 13980.5 g m−2 d−1, respectively. Based on the experiment, a water quantity and quality numerical model of wind-induced current with sediment pollution for Lake Taihu was developed. The model was calibrated and validated by applying it to the study of the water quality of Lake Taihu. The calculated values were generally in good agreement with field observations, which indicated that the developed model could represent the dynamics of sediment resuspension to a certain extent. This study provides a new approach and a practical tool for planning and management policy and operations to protect the water quality and ecosystems of shallow lakes.  相似文献
