In this study, we compared two types of chicken infection models for Campylobacter jejuni in terms of infectious dose required to colonize the chickens and the susceptibility of chickens of different ages to persistent colonization by C. jejuni. In one model, chickens at day 2 posthatching were used, and in the other, 14-day-old chickens were used. The minimum C. jejuni cell number required to colonize 14-day-old chickens was 5 x 10(4) cells, and that for 2-day-old chickens was 5 x 10(3). The ability of various C. jejuni strains to colonize the chicken gastrointestinal tract was the same in both models.  相似文献

耐碳青霉烯类肠杆菌科细菌(carbapenem-resistant Enterobacteriaceae,CRE)在肠腔中定殖通常先于或并存于CRE的感染。正常情况下,定殖的CRE、肠道菌群和宿主相互作用,处于稳定平衡的状态,当肠道菌群出现失调时,肠道正常菌群失去对定殖CRE的抵抗力,增加CRE感染的风险。大量研究表明通过肠道共生菌群对CRE的定殖抗性不仅可以预防感染,而且也可以降低医疗环境中患者间相互传播的风险。本文就CRE的流行现状、肠杆菌科细菌定殖机制以及肠道共生菌群对CRE定殖抗性机制作一综述,以期为CRE感染的防控工作提供新思路和新方法。  相似文献

无菌小鼠试验证明:丽珠肠乐(回春生)活菌可以在体内定植,接种后从16小时至8天活杀小鼠。活菌定植数量相对地稳定,盲肠内容物为107-109CFU/g,其参于膜茵群的构成,膜菌群(空肠、回肠和盲肠)的数量为105-108CFU/g。  相似文献

A sustainable colony allowed investigations into attachment substrates, diet and temperature in the development of the immature stages of Cq. linealis and its local congener Cq. xanthogaster. As immatures, these mosquitoes attach to submerged plants for respiration, and various field‐collected and laboratory‐raised plants were compared with non‐living substrates. Hydroponically‐grown wheat plant seedlings provided the most suitable attachment substrate. Development and survival of immatures to eclosion were investigated with three types and three quantities of a standardized diet. Development and survival at rearing temperatures between 10° and 30° C were also investigated. Diet type appeared to have little influence on development. However, at the lowest diet quantity, development to pupation was significantly reduced while the highest diet quantity impacted on the eclosion of pupae. Mean duration of immature development for Cq. linealis increased as temperature decreased. Time from 1st instar to median eclosion did not differ significantly between 23° C (6.0 weeks) and 25° C (5.3 weeks), although it was 10 weeks at 20° C, and 30° C was lethal. For Cq. xanthogaster, similarly, mean duration of immature development increased as temperature decreased, with development time from 1st instar to median eclosion significantly longer at 20° C (7.5 weeks) compared to 23° C (5.0 weeks) and 30° C (4.0 weeks).  相似文献

To identify genes that contribute to the virulence of Erwinia amylovora in plants, 1892 mutants were created and screened in pools of < or =96 mutants using signature-tagged mutagenesis. Nineteen mutants were not recovered from apple shoots following inoculation, which suggested that the insertions in these mutants affected genes important for bacterial survival in planta. DNA flanking the Tn5 insertions in the 19 mutants was sequenced and analysed by blast. One mutant had a Tn5 insertion in amsE, a gene involved in the biosynthesis of exopolysaccaride (EPS). Fourteen mutants had insertions in loci that were implicated in biosynthesis or transport of particular amino acids or nucleotides, a site-specific recombinase active during cell division and several putative proteins of unknown function; the flanking DNA of the remaining four mutants lacked significant homology with any DNA in the database. When inoculated individually to hosts, 10 of the 19 mutants caused significantly less disease and multiplied less, as compared with the wild-type strain.  相似文献

自然入侵条件下黄顶菊丛枝菌根定殖及发育的研究   总被引:2,自引:0,他引:2  
为探讨丛枝菌根(arbuscular mycorrhiza,AM)真菌在黄顶菊Flaveria bidentis入侵过程中可能发挥的作用,首先调查和研究了黄顶菊AM的侵入和生长表现。在黄顶菊入侵严重的河北省选择采样地点,分别从衡水地区的滨湖新区小北田村、冀州市漳下村、枣强县北王庄村、桃城区八里庄村、滨湖新区顺民庄村和滨湖新区刘家台村6个地点按黄顶菊重、中、轻3种盖度和不同生育期(苗期、花期和结籽期)采集根系和根区土样。分离根区土壤中AM真菌孢子、观察AM发育特征、测定孢子密度、AM真菌侵染率、丛枝着生率等,并与土壤理化性质进行了相关性分析。结果在各采样地点均观察到AM典型结构,不同样地菌丝侵染率、I型丛枝密度以及孢子密度的最大值均出现在八里庄村,泡囊密度和A型丛枝密度的最大值分别出现在小北田村和刘家台村;不同盖度下AM真菌侵染率最高值均出现在重度侵染区;不同生长时期黄顶菊的AM也有差异,除了丛枝密度最高值出现在花期和菌丝侵染率差异不显著外,菌丝侵染率、泡囊密度和孢子密度均在结籽期出现最大值。土壤理化特性也显著影响黄顶菊AM的发育,菌丝侵染率与土壤有机质呈显著正相关,与p H值呈显著负相关,与速效P含量呈极显著负相关;A型丛枝密度与p H含量呈显著负相关;I型丛枝密度与土壤全N含量呈极显著正相关;孢子密度与有机质含量和全N含量均呈显著正相关。因此,AM真菌侵染可能会促进黄顶菊的入侵。  相似文献

Natural colonizations across watersheds have been frequently proposed to explain the present distributions of many freshwater fish species. However, detailed studies of such potential watershed crossings are still missing. Here, we investigated potential postglacial watershed crossings of the widely distributed European bullhead (Cottus gobio L.) in two different areas along the Rhine–Rhône watershed using detailed genetic analysis. The main advantage of studying bullheads vs. other freshwater fish species is that their distribution has been lightly influenced by human activities and as such, interpretations of colonization history are not confounded by artificial transplantations. The genetic analyses of eight microsatellite loci revealed strong genetic similarities between populations of both sides of the Rhine–Rhône watershed in the Lake Geneva area, giving strong evidence for a natural watershed crossing of bullheads from the upper Rhine drainage into the Rhône drainage in the Lake Geneva area likely facilitated by the retreat of the glaciers after the last glacial maximum some 20 000 years ago. Populations from the Lake Geneva basin were genetically more similar to populations from across the watershed in the upper Rhine drainage than to populations further downstream in the lower Rhône. In contrast, populations from Belfort, an area, which was not covered by ice during the last glacial maximum, showed strong genetic differentiation between populations of the upper Rhine and Rhône drainages. Based on our results on the bullhead, we propose that glacial retreat may have eased the dispersal of numerous European freshwater fish species across several geological boundaries.  相似文献

Previous studies which investigated macroinvertebrate colonization of submerged wooden substrates in streams and lakes did not consider the wood species. In this study, the genus of randomly collected twigs and branches from two streams was determined microscopically using morphological and structural characteristics of the wood genera. The macroinvertebrate colonization of the wooden substrates was analysed with respect to the different kinds of the twigs and branches. Additionally, an exposition experiment was conducted with the most commonly found wood genera, alder (Alnus) and oak (Quercus), in two different states of decay (freshwood and conditioned wood). The colonization experiment stressed the results of the natural wood samplings that the wood genus plays only a minor role in the colonization by macroinvertebrates.  相似文献

Strains of Campylobacter jejuni, isolated from human gastro-intestinal infection and inoculated orally into 1-day-old chicks, colonised the alimentary tract (caecum) well. There was evidence of invasion from the intestine to the spleen. Oral inoculation with some but not all strains of C. jejuni 24 h earlier (within 12 h of hatching) prevented establishment by challenge strains administered orally 1 day later. One strain which was less able to colonise the gut was less inhibitory than other strains. Precolonisation of newly hatched chicks with a strain of Salmonella typhimurium had no inhibitory effect on establishment by the challenge strain of C. jejuni and may even have exacerbated it. Inhibition of multiplication of a nalidixic acid-resistant mutant of a C. jejuni strain was prevented when it was added to a stationary-phase broth culture of the antibiotic-sensitive parent strain and the mixed culture re-incubated.  相似文献

Forty different medicinal plants were investigated for arbuscular mycorrhizal association in the Rajshahi University Campus in Bangladesh. The results indicated that 35 different plants were infected by AM (arbuscular mycorrhizal) fungi as found by trypan blue staining procedure. The percentage of root colonization by AM fungi varied from 13.3% to 100%. Mangifera indica and Morus indica have maximum percentage of colonization (100%). The intensity of root colonization were abundant in the plants belonging to the families Anacardiaceae, Asclepiadaceae, Moraceae, Leguminosae and Apocynaceae whereas the intensity of colonization of crop roots were moderate and poor belonging to Gramineae and Leguminosae. The presence of greater number of spore in soil was always associated with the incidence of abundant mycelia. In plant roots the formation of spore and mycelia was restricted by low pH. Number of mycorrhizal fungus spores ranged between 35 to100 per 100g air dried soil in different family respective soils. The frequency of mycorrhizal fungus infection showed positive correlation with soil pH, moisture, water holding capacity, texture, total nitrogen, organic carbon, phosphorus, calcium, potassium, and magnesium. Especially phosphorus and nitrogen in the soil greatly influenced the plant root infection by AM fungi.  相似文献

为探明贵州省栽培笃斯越橘根系深色有隔内生真菌(dark septate endophytes,DSE)、丛枝菌根(arbuscular mycorrhiza,AM)真菌与欧石南菌根(ericoid mycorrhiza,ERM)真菌的定殖及地理分布情况,揭示共生真菌在栽培笃斯越橘生长中的地位,本研究在贵州省笃斯越橘主栽区麻江县、凤岗县和高坡乡分别选取主栽品种圆蓝、粉蓝、奥尼尔和莱格西的根样及根围土样,观测不同地区不同品种根样DSE真菌、AM真菌和ERM真菌的定殖结构和定殖率,并测定土样土壤理化性质,分析不同真菌与土壤因子相关性。结果表明,3个地区的4个笃斯越橘品种均有DSE真菌、AM真菌和ERM真菌定殖,栽培笃斯越橘能与3类真菌形成共生关系,平均定殖率分别为61.11%、25.55%和22.50%。DSE真菌定殖率:高坡(62.50%)>麻江(61.66%)>凤岗(59.16%);AM真菌定殖率:凤岗(34.14%)>麻江(25.83%)>高坡(16.66%);ERM真菌定殖率:高坡(35.00%)>凤岗(20.00%)>麻江(12.5%)。相关性分析表明,DSE真菌中的菌丝与微菌核的定殖率呈负相关,AM真菌的总定殖率及定殖强度与微菌核的定殖率呈极显著正相关,与DSE真菌菌丝的定殖率呈负相关。ERM真菌总定殖率与DSE真菌菌丝的定殖率及AM真菌定殖强度呈极显著正相关,与DSE真菌总定殖率呈显著正相关。土壤有效磷与DSE真菌和ERM真菌总定殖率呈显著正相关,与AM真菌定殖率呈显著负相关。土壤铵态氮与DSE真菌中微菌核结构定殖率及AM真菌定殖率呈极显著正相关,与ERM真菌定殖率呈极显著负相关。土壤pH值与DSE定殖强度呈显著负相关,与ERM定殖强度呈极显著正相关。本研究分析比较贵州省3个笃斯越橘种植基地不同品种栽培笃斯越橘DSE真菌、AM真菌和ERM真菌的定殖及其与土壤理化性质之间的相关性,为贵州省栽培笃斯越橘的管理和发展提供技术基础和理论依据。  相似文献

The dynamics of introduced antagonistic bacteria in the spring wheat rhizosphere was studied in small-plot field experiments during several growing seasons. The population density of the introduced bacteria was found to depend considerably on the inoculum dose. At sufficiently high inoculum doses, the introduced bacteria remained in the wheat rhizosphere over the entire vegetative period (88–109 days). The maximum population density of the introduced bacteria was observed in the early terms of plant development. No correlation was found between the population density of the introduced bacteria and the degree of suppression of root rot or the structural crop yield parameters. The beneficial effect of preplanting seed bacterization on wheat plants was, as a rule, profound only during unfavorable growing seasons.  相似文献

Phenotypic plasticity can allow organisms to respond to environmental changes by producing better matching phenotypes without any genetic change. Because of this, plasticity is predicted to be a major mechanism by which a population can survive the initial stage of colonizing a novel environment. We tested this prediction by challenging wild Drosophila melanogaster with increasingly extreme larval environments and then examining expression of alcohol dehydrogenase (ADH) and its relationship to larval survival in the first generation of encountering a novel environment. We found that most families responded in the adaptive direction of increased ADH activity in higher alcohol environments and families with higher plasticity were also more likely to survive in the highest alcohol environment. Thus, plasticity of ADH activity was positively selected in the most extreme environment and was a key trait influencing fitness. Furthermore, there was significant heritability of ADH plasticity that can allow plasticity to evolve in subsequent generations after initial colonization. The adaptive value of plasticity, however, was only evident in the most extreme environment and had little impact on fitness in less extreme environments. The results provide one of the first direct tests of the adaptive role of phenotypic plasticity in colonizing a novel environment.  相似文献

Vegetative experiments showed that the population density of antiphytopathogenic bacillar species introduced into the rhizosphere of spring wheat seedlings essentially depended on the soil temperature and not on the soil moisture content. As a rule, the population of introduced bacilli increased with the temperature. Under both low and optimal soil moisture contents, introduced bacilli were efficiently acclimated in the wheat rhizosphere.  相似文献

Abstract: Efficient colonization of the plant root is thought to be crucial for the plant-beneficial effect of particular Pseudomonas strains. Since root colonization is often the limiting step for successful plant growth stimulation, this process needs improvement. It is therefore important to acquire more information as regards (i) the conditions in the rhizosphere, and (ii) the bacterial traits that are involved in colonization. Experiments on the colonization by macroinvertebrates of stones were performed in the Acheron and Toorongo Rivers, two upland rivers in south-eastern Australia. The three experiments were each about one month in duration. In the first experiment — Acheron I — and the third experiment — Toorongo — river stones were used. In the Acheron II experiment both river stones and quarry stones were used.The number of colonizing species with time in the Acheron I and Toorongo experiments fitted a logarithmic model with the colonization and elimination (extinction) rates both declining with time. The population densities of the total animals and of most of the common species fitted the power model (linear model on logarithmically transformed axes). In the Acheron II experiment the major difference between the colonization of river stones and quarry stones was the low numbers of scrapers on the quarry stones. The colonization of the stones in Acheron I and Toorongo by the various functional feeding groups is described. The colonization of stones in streams is a rapid process suggesting that the stream stone assemblage has a high resilience — an attribute of deterministic communities.  相似文献

通过化感试验研究荧光假单胞杆菌P13菌株对油菜种子萌发、幼苗生长的影响及其在油菜根际土壤和根部定植的能力。结果表明,P13菌株发酵液对油菜种子萌发没有明显的促进作用,稀释10倍的菌体发酵液处理种子与对照组无显著差异,而低浓度和高浓度都抑制种子萌发;田间试验发现P13菌株能促进植物幼苗生长,根长、苗高、干重和长1片叶子的株数均与对照组差异显著;1周内P13菌株在油菜根际土壤和根部定植良好,定植数量均达到107cfu/g以上。说明P13菌株可被开发为微生物菌剂,但在施用时不宜用作种子处理剂。  相似文献

目的研究南海海军部队特发性皮肤瘙痒症患者皮肤马拉色菌的检出以及菌种的构成,探讨马拉色菌与特发性瘙痒症之间的相关性。方法对采自56例特发性瘙痒症患者与50例健康者的鳞屑标本进行真菌学镜检及采用菜子油培养基培养,根据菌落形态和生理生化特点进行菌种鉴定。结果观察组与对照组镜检阳性率分别为74.10%和72.00%,X2=0.344,P〉0.05两者比较无统计学意义。而镜检马拉色菌孢子密度Ⅲ级以上(每10个高倍视野≥50个者),观察组与对照组分别为74.70%和38.89%,X2=20.30,P〈0.01。两者统计学比较差异有显著性意义。观察组168份标本共分离出143株马拉色菌,阳性率85.12%。其中合轴马拉色菌97株(67.83%),球形马拉色菌26株(18.18%),糠秕马拉色菌19株(13.29%),钝形马拉色菌1株(0.70%)。对照组分离出马拉色菌107株,阳性率71.33%;其中糠秕马拉色菌55株(51.40%),合轴马拉色菌33株(30.84%),球形马拉色菌14株(13.08%),钝形马拉色菌5株(4.67%)。菌种检出率和菌种构成差异均有显著性(X2=2.99,P〈0.01和7。X2=51.16,P〈0.01)。结论南海海军部队特发性瘙痒症患者皮肤马拉色菌载量较正常人高,其优势菌是合轴马拉色菌。  相似文献

目的:野生型枯草芽孢杆菌Bacillus subtilisBS-68能有效地防治由Pythium spp.和Fusarium oxporum引起的黄瓜立枯病和枯萎病。为了探究该菌株的生防机制,利用该菌株的黄绿荧光蛋白基因和氯霉素抗性基因标记菌株BS-68A研究其在黄瓜植株各个部位的定殖能力、种群动态和在根围的分布。方法和结果:用基因标记菌株发酵液分别对黄瓜种子进行浸种和浇穴处理,播种后30d,该菌能在黄瓜根部和茎基部定殖,不能在茎部和叶部定殖。浸种处理,该菌在茎基部的种群数量为3.1×104cfu/株,大于根部的种群数量4.1×102cfu/株;浇穴处理,该菌在茎基部的种群数量8.0×103cfu/株,低于根部的种群数量2.5×104cfu/株。  相似文献
