The study shows the results of research on the concentrations of metals (Cd, Pb, Mn, Cu, Cr, Fe, Zn, Na, K, Mg, and Ca) in deciduous and permanent teeth with respect to their location in the oral cavity (maxilla, mandible). It has been found that the concentrations of metals were significantly higher in the deciduous teeth than in permanent ones. Regression analysis and principal component analysis revealed an increased dynamics of the processes of binding the elements by the hydroxyapatite of deciduous teeth. Higher concentrations of the metals were found in the maxilla permanent and deciduous teeth than in the mandible ones. 相似文献

Objectives
The present study was designed to investigate the microbial profiles of teeth in different locations in mixed-dentition-stage children, and to compare the microbiomes of permanent and deciduous teeth in the same healthy oral cavity.Methods
Supragingival plaque samples of teeth in various locations—the first permanent molars, deciduous molars, deciduous canines and incisors and permanent incisors—were collected from 20 healthy mixed-dentition-stage children with 10–12 permanent teeth erupted. Plaque DNA was extracted, and the V3–V4 hypervariable region of the bacterial 16S rRNA gene was amplified and subjected to sequencing.Results
On average, 18,051 high-quality sequences per sample were generated. Permanent tooth sites tended to host more diverse bacterial communities than those of deciduous tooth sites. A total of 12 phyla, 21 classes, 38 orders, 66 families, 74 genera were detected ultimately. Five predominant phyla (Proteobacteria, Firmicutes, Bacteroidetes, Fusobacteria and Actinobacteria) were highly variable among sites. Of 26 genera with a mean relative abundance of >0.1%, 16 showed significant differences in relative abundance among the groups. More than 20% of the total operational taxonomical units were detected only in permanent or deciduous teeth. The variation in the microbial community composition was due mainly to permanent teeth being enriched in Actinomyces and deciduous teeth in Treponema. The core microbiome of supragingival plaque in mixed dentition comprised 19 genera with complex correlationships.Conclusion
Our results suggest differences in microbial diversity and composition between permanent and deciduous teeth sites in mixed dentition. Moreover, the core microbiome of these sites was determined. Magnetic resonance spectroscopy (MRS) studies have previously described metabolite changes associated with aging of the healthy brain and provided insights into normal brain aging that can assist us in differentiating age-related changes from those associated with neurological disease. The present study investigates whether age-related changes in metabolite concentrations occur in the healthy cervical spinal cord. 25 healthy volunteers, aged 23–65 years, underwent conventional imaging and single-voxel MRS of the upper cervical cord using an optimised point resolved spectroscopy sequence on a 3T Achieva system. Metabolite concentrations normalised to unsuppressed water were quantified using LCModel and associations between age and spinal cord metabolite concentrations were examined using multiple regressions. A linear decline in total N-Acetyl-aspartate concentration (0.049 mmol/L lower per additional year of age, p = 0.010) and Glutamate-Glutamine concentration (0.054 mmol/L lower per additional year of age, p = 0.002) was seen within our sample age range, starting in the early twenties. The findings suggest that neuroaxonal loss and/or metabolic neuronal dysfunction, and decline in glutamate-glutamine neurotransmitter pool progress with aging. 相似文献

To elucidate compositional changes of the prostate with aging, the authors investigated age-related changes of elements in
the prostates and the relationships among their elements using Japanese and Thai. After ordinary dissections by students at
Nara Medical University and Chiang Mai University were finished, the prostates were resected from the subjects. Fifty-seven
Japanese subjects ranged in age from 65 to 101 years (average age = 82.5 ± 7.8 years), whereas 13 Thai subjects ranged in
age from 43 to 86 years (average age = 67.9 ± 11.9 years). After ashing with nitric acid and perchloric acid, element contents
were determined by inductively coupled plasma–atomic emission spectrometry. It was found that although there were no significant
correlations between age and seven element contents, such as Ca, P, S, Mg, Zn, Fe, and Na, in the prostates of Japanese, high
contents of Ca (>5 mg/g) and P (>4 mg/g) were contained in one fourth of the prostates of Japanese over 70 years of age. In
the prostates of Thai, a significant direct correlation was found between age and Ca content, but it was not found between
age and the other element contents, such as P, S, Mg, Zn, Fe, and Na. Regarding the relationships among their elements, extremely
significant direct correlations were found among the contents of Ca, P, Mg, Zn, and Na in the prostates of Japanese. In the
prostates of Thai, significant direct correlations were found among the contents of Ca, Mg, and Zn, but no significant correlations
were found between Ca and P contents and between P and Mg contents. Regarding the relationships among their elements, there
were differences between the prostates of Japanese and Thai. To examine whether element contents changed in prostatic hypertrophy,
the transverse width of the Japanese prostates was measured. No significant correlations were found between the transverse
width and element contents, such as Ca, P, S, Mg, Zn, Fe, and Na, in the Japanese prostates. Therefore, it is unlikely that

The study determines the concentration of Ba in mineralized tissues of deciduous teeth, permanent impacted teeth, and facial bones. The study covers the population of children and adults (aged 6–78) living in an industrial area of Poland. Teeth were analyzed in whole, with no division into dentine and enamel. Facial bones and teeth were subjected to the following preparation: washing, drying, grinding in a porcelain mortar, sample weighing (about 0.2 g), and microwave mineralization with spectrally pure nitric acid. The aim of the study was to determinate the concentration of Ba in deciduous teeth, impacted permanent teeth, and facial bones. The concentration of barium in samples was determined over the ICP OES method. The Ba concentration in the tested bone tissues amounted to 2.2-15.5 μg/g (6.6 μg/g?±?3.9). The highest concentration of Ba was present in deciduous teeth (10.5 μg/g), followed by facial bones (5.2 μg/g), and impacted teeth (4.3 μg/g) (ANOVA Kruskal-Wallis rank test, p?=?0.0002). In bone tissue and impacted teeth, Ba concentration increased with age. In deciduous teeth, the level of Ba decreased with children’s age. 相似文献

目的:比较传统机械切割法、非创伤性充填法(atraumatic restorative treatment,ART)和Carisolv化学法在临床乳牙龋病治疗中的应用效果差异。方法:选取2011年1月-2012年6月来我科就诊的5-8岁儿牙患者96名,患牙180颗,随机分为3个不同的治疗组:传统机械去龋组、ART组和Carisolv化学去龋组进行相应牙体充填治疗,通过去龋效果、去龋时间、术中疼痛发生率和术后长期疗效等方面比较不同去龋技术之间的差异。结果:常规机械去龋组和Carisolv组的去龋效果明显优于ART组(P0.05),二者之间无明显差异(P0.05);3种去龋方法的去龋操作时间无明显差异(P0.05);Carisolv组和ART组去龋治疗中患儿术中疼痛发生例数明显低于常规机械去龋组(P0.05),二者之间无明显差异(P0.05);治疗1年后的复诊发现,常规机械去龋组和Carisolv组中患牙继发龋发生率明显低于ART组(P0.05),二者之间无明显差异(P0.05);三种方法治疗后患牙充填物折断/脱落发生率无明显差异(P0.05)。结论:Carisolv化学去龋法能有效减轻术中疼痛和术后复发率,值得在临床乳牙治疗中推广应用;ART的去龋效果和远期疗效可能限制其广泛应用。 相似文献

This study aimed at analysing the erosive potential of 30 substances (drinks, candies, and medicaments) on deciduous enamel, and analyse the associated chemical factors with enamel dissolution. We analysed the initial pH, titratable acidity (TA) to pH 5.5, calcium (Ca), inorganic phosphate (Pi), and fluoride (F) concentration, and degree of saturation ((pK -pI)HAP, (pK -pI)FAP, and (pK−pI)CaF2) of all substances. Then, we randomly distributed 300 specimens of human deciduous enamel into 30 groups (n = 10 for each of the substances tested. We also prepared 20 specimens of permanent enamel for the sake of comparison between the two types of teeth, and we tested them in mineral water and Coca-Cola®. In all specimens, we measured surface hardness (VHN: Vickers hardness numbers) and surface reflection intensity (SRI) at baseline (SHbaseline and SRIbaseline), after a total of 2 min (SH2min) and after 4 min (SH4min and SRI4min) erosive challenges (60 ml of substance for 6 enamel samples; 30°C, under constant agitation at 95 rpm). There was no significant difference in SHbaseline between deciduous and permanent enamel. Comparing both teeth, we observed that after the first erosive challenge with Coca-Cola®, a significantly greater hardness loss was seen in deciduous (−90.2±11.3 VHN) than in permanent enamel (−44.3±12.2 VHN; p = 0.007), but no differences between the two types of teeth were observed after two challenges (SH4min). After both erosive challenges, all substances except for mineral water caused a significant loss in relative surface reflectivity intensity, and most substances caused a significant loss in surface hardness. Multiple regression analyses showed that pH, TA and Ca concentration play a significant role in initial erosion of deciduous enamel. We conclude that drinks, foodstuffs and medications commonly consumed by children can cause erosion of deciduous teeth and erosion is mainly associated with pH, titratable acidity and calcium concentration in the solution. 相似文献

Human deciduous and permanent teeth exhibit different developmental processes, morphologies, histological characteristics and life cycles. In addition, their pulp tissues react differently to external stimuli, such as the pulp sensitivity test, dental trauma and pulp therapy materials. These suggest differences in gene expression and regulation, and in this study we compared gene-expression profiles of the human dental pulp from deciduous and permanent teeth. Pulp tissues from permanent premolars and deciduous molars aged 11–14 years were extirpated and mRNA was isolated for cDNA microarray analysis, and quantitative real-time PCR (qPCR). Other teeth were used for immunohistochemical analysis (IHC). Microarray analysis identified 263 genes with a twofold or greater difference in expression level between the two types of pulp tissue, 43 and 220 of which were more abundant in deciduous and permanent pulp tissues, respectively. qPCR analysis was conducted for eight randomly selected genes, and the findings were consistent with the cDNA microarray results. IHC confirmed that insulin-like growth factor 2 mRNA-binding protein 1 (IGF2BP1) was broadly expressed in deciduous dental pulp tissue, but minimally expressed in permanent dental pulp tissue. Immunohistochemical analysis showed that calbindin 1 (CALB1), leucine-rich repeat-containing G-protein-coupled receptor 5 (LGR5), and gamma-aminobutyric acid A receptor beta 1 (GABRB1) were abundantly expressed in permanent predentin/odontoblasts, but only minimally expressed in deciduous dental pulp tissue. These results show that deciduous and permanent pulp tissues have different characteristics and gene expression, suggesting that they may have different functions and responses to therapies focused on pulp or dentin regeneration. 相似文献

BackgroundAcute kidney injury (AKI) is a critical condition associated with high mortality. However, the available treatments for AKI are limited. Stem cells from human exfoliated deciduous teeth (SHED) have recently gained attention as a novel source of stem cells. The purpose of this study was to clarify whether SHED have a therapeutic effect on AKI induced by ischemia-reperfusion injury.MethodsThe left renal artery and vein of the mice were clamped for 20 min to induce ischemia. SHED, bone marrow derived mesenchymal stem cells (BMMSC) or phosphate-buffered saline (control) were administered into the subrenal capsule. To confirm the potency of SHED in vitro, H2O2 stimulation assays and scratch assays were performed.ResultsThe serum creatinine and blood urea nitrogen levels of the SHED group were significantly lower than those of the control group, while BMMSC showed no therapeutic effect. Infiltration of macrophages and neutrophils in the kidney was significantly attenuated in mice treated with SHED. Cytokine levels (MIP-2, IL-1β, and MCP-1) in mice kidneys were significantly reduced in the SHED group. In in vitro experiments, SHED significantly decreased MCP-1 secretion in tubular epithelial cells (TEC) stimulated with H2O2. In addition, SHED promoted wound healing in the scratch assays, which was blunted by anti-HGF antibodies.DiscussionSHED attenuated the levels of inflammatory cytokines and improved kidney function in AKI induced by IRI. SHED secreted factors reduced MCP-1 and increased HGF expression, which promoted wound healing. These results suggest that SHED might provide a novel stem cell resource, which can be applied for the treatment of ischemic kidney injury. 相似文献

目的:探讨Vitapex糊剂在根管治疗乳牙慢性根尖周炎中的效果。方法:选取200例慢性根尖周炎患儿并随机分为两组,观察组(108例)给予Vitapex糊剂充填,对照组(92例)给予氧化锌碘仿糊剂充填,比较两组治疗后1个月的充填质量、治疗前后的VAS评分及治疗后6个月的远期疗效。结果:治疗后1个月,两组患者的根管充填质量构成比比较有统计学差异(P0.05),观察组根管适充率高于对照组;治疗前两组VAS评分相比,无统计学差异(P0.05);治疗后1周、1个月,两组痛觉减轻且观察组痛觉感受更轻微(P0.05)。治疗后随访6个月,观察组治疗成功104例,成功率96.3%;对照组治疗成功80例,成功率87.0%,观察组治疗成功率高于对照组(P0.05)。结论:Vitapex糊剂填充过程简易,易于填充,对乳牙根尖周炎具有较好的治疗效果,能减轻患儿牙痛,远期疗效较佳。 相似文献

目的:探讨核因子KB受体活化剂配体(receptor activator of the nuclear factor—κappa Bligand,RANKL)在人乳牙根消失不同时间段牙髓细胞内的表达及分化。方法:临床选取牙根生理早中晚期的乳牙各10颗,用原位杂交方法检测RANKL细胞因子在人的乳牙根消失的时候不同时期牙髓细胞内的mRNA表达情况。结果:牙髓细胞、成牙本质细胞RANKL原位杂交染色阳性,表达比对照组高(P〈0.05)。消失比较早的时候与消失中、晚的时候,比较各种细胞内RANKL表达差异有统计学意义(P〈0.05),而消失中间的时候和消失比较晚的各种细胞内的RANKL表达差异无统计学意义(P〉0.05)。结论:RANKL参与了乳牙牙根的消失过程,牙髓细胞、成牙本质细胞可能促进了破骨细胞分化成熟。 相似文献

目的:探讨不同修复方式对儿童乳牙牙体缺损修复的治疗效果和安全性。方法:选择2011年1月至2015年1月在我院因牙体缺损严重无法填充修复的乳牙牙体缺损患儿67例。将所有患者随机分为三组,记为A组(22例)、B组(22例)和C组(23例)。A组患儿进行金属预成冠修复,B组患儿进行铸瓷嵌体修复,C组患儿进行银汞合金充填修复。随访18个月,比较3组患儿的治疗效果和不良反应的发生情况。结果:C组患儿随访期间发生牙痛6例,食物嵌塞、修复体和牙体之间出现裂缝的患儿各5例,牙龈充血3例,继发龋2例;B组患儿发生牙痛3例,食物嵌塞、牙龈充血、修复体和牙体之间出现裂缝以及继发龋等各1例;A组患儿发生疼痛和食物嵌塞各2例,牙龈充血1例。A组和B组患儿以上不良事件的发生率明显低于C组(P0.05),A组发生不良事件的发生率低于B组,但是差异无统计学意义(P0.05)。结论:应用金属预成冠修复和铸瓷嵌体修复儿童乳牙牙体缺损较银汞合金充填修复具有更好的临床效果,且安全性更高。 相似文献

As caries is a most common affliction of teeth, which are predominantly composed of inorganic elements, it was considered worthwhile to determine their elemental composition and to find if it bears any relation to caries formation. For this purpose, 35 inorganic elements were determined in 15 non-carious and an equal number of carious whole teeth after their dissolution in nitric acid. The results showed that out of 35 elements, strontium was the only element found to be present in significantly lower amount in carious teeth, thus strongly suggesting that its deficiency may help form caries. The decrease in Ca, Mg, Ti, P, Li, Be, V, Ni, Zn, Nb, Ag, Cd, Sb, Ba, La , W, Pb, and Bi and slight increase in K, Cr, Cu, and As was not statistically significant. However, statistically significantly greater amount of boron, manganese, molybdenum, and fluorine in the carious teeth indicates towards their possible role in predisposing or causing dental caries. 相似文献

Concentrations of the polyamines putrescine, spermidine, and spermine were investigated in the left and right amygdala and in the remaining cerebrum, in which kindling was induced by repeated application of electrical stimulation of the left amygdala of rats. In kindled rats, the concentrations of spermidine and spermine increased slightly, but elevations did not reach significant levels in any brain regions. The most profound increase was detected in the putrescine concentration in all parts of the cerebrum 1-8 h after the final stimulation. These results suggest that the increases in concentrations of polyamines, particularly of putrescine, are involved in the pathogenesis of amygdaloid kindling. 相似文献
