Successional studies in tropical forests have generally emphasized the tree component, ignoring the community dynamics of non-tree life-forms, and so there is a limited understanding of how the plant community as a whole is changing during succession within forests. Thus, this study examined the changes in climber community composition and structure in a regenerating secondary lowland rain forest at Ile-Ife that was ravaged by a ground fire 31 years ago using six sample plots. All individual climbers in each sample plot were identified, enumerated and their girths at breast height were measured. The girths were measured at 1.3 m height or just before the point of branching. Our data were compared with those of previous studies in the forest to determine the changes in floristics and structure of climber community over the years using Sorenson’s similarity index. The mortality and recruitment rates in the forest during the course of succession were determined. Climber species increased from 49 (2005) to 61 (2014). Climber density increased astronomically from 448–1152 ha?1 (2005) to 1712–4492 ha?1 but basal area only increased slightly from 0.37–1.10 m2 ha?1 (2005) to 0.40–1.14 m2 ha?1. The recruitment rate (8%) was higher than the mortality rate (5.8%). The similarity of the climber species composition calculated using the Sorenson similarity index showed that the similarity between the two periods of study was 0.53 (53%). This study concluded that during the study period, the climber community changed, and climber species abundance and structure increased.  相似文献

稳定的边坡群落是公路边坡生态防护的目标,为探究高速公路生态护坡工程10 a演替后群落特征,该研究以泌桐高速公路为依托,布设自然恢复、单一狗牙根播种和5个不同播种密度的草灌混播生态防护措施,分析不同恢复方式对边坡群落组成、生活型和物种多样性的影响。结果表明:(1)调查样方内共有52种植物,分属于17科49属。禾本科、菊科和豆科植物共26属29种,占种总数的55.77%,表明这三大科植物在边坡群落演替过程中起着重要作用。(2) 10 a演替后不同恢复方式下群落中多年生植物比例高于一年生草本植物。(3)在草灌混播样地中,群落物种多样性指数随着播种密度的增加呈先增加后降低的单峰变化趋势,在播种密度为每平方米500株时达到最大。(4)草灌混播的生态恢复效果优于纯草本种植和自然恢复方式。(5)播种密度对草灌混播群落类型,地上生物量和物种多样性指数没有显著影响。从植物的生长效果及成本方面考虑,初播密度每平方米为500~600株的草灌混播可构建较为稳定的边坡植物群落,实现最佳的边坡恢复效果,可应用于类似区域边坡生态恢复工程。  相似文献

理解生物多样性对生态系统功能及稳定性的影响对于制定有效的保护管理策略有重要意义。然而,目前生物多样性与群落生产力、稳定性的关系仍存在争议。在鄱阳湖湿地布设30个采样点,于2019年秋季开展大型底栖无脊椎动物群落野外调查。基于底栖动物群落数据,采用广义加性模型分析物种、谱系、功能多样性对鄱阳湖湿地底栖动物群落次级生产力与稳定性的影响。结果表明:底栖动物群落的次级生产力与反映物种多样性的指数(Simpson多样性指数、Shannon-Wiener多样性指数、Pielou均匀度指数)、分类多样性指数、平均分类差异指数、功能丰富度指数等呈显著的负相关,其中Pielou均匀度指数与次级生产力的相关度最高(r2=0.33)。功能多样性对群落次级生产力的空间分异有最高的解释度(r2=0.75)。P/B值(次级生产力与生物量之比代表群落稳定性)与物种、谱系、功能多样性指数均呈正相关,其中功能丰富度与P/B值的相关度最高(r2=0.22)。反映物种多样性的三个指数总体上对P/B值的空间分异解释度最高(r2=0.37)。谱系多样性与次级生产力、P/B值的相关性相对较弱。生物多样性指数总体分别解释了次级生产力和群落稳定性中81.9%、54.8%的变异。上述研究结果表明,生物多样性与群落生产力、稳定性的关系可能因具体的生物群落而异。研究结果对于鄱阳湖湿地的底栖生物多样性保护有参考价值。  相似文献

土壤微生物群落对麻栎-刺槐混交林凋落物分解的影响   总被引:1,自引:0,他引:1  
以麻栎-刺槐混交林和麻栎纯林为研究对象,采用野外定点采样、室内分析与高通量测序的方法,对凋落物分解过程中土壤微生物菌群多样性特征及其对凋落物分解速率的影响进行了研究。结果表明:(1)麻栎-刺槐混交林凋落物的分解速率高于麻栎纯林。两种林分凋落物有机碳(TOC)、全氮(TN)发生释放,全磷(TP)发生积累-释放的过程。(2)两种林分土壤细菌优势类群为放线菌门(Acidobacteria)、变形菌门(Proteobacteria)、酸杆菌门(Actinobacteria)和疣微菌门(Verrucomicrobia),土壤真菌优势类群为担子菌门(Basidiomycota)、子囊菌门(Ascomycota)和被孢霉门(Moritierellomycota)。(3)凋落物分解过程中,麻栎-刺槐混交林土壤微生物菌群丰富度指数和菌群多样性指数变化范围小于麻栎纯林。(4)凋落物分解速率与土壤细菌菌群丰富度指数和菌群多样性指数呈显著正相关,与土壤真菌菌群丰富度指数呈显著正相关。土壤微生物群落对麻栎-刺槐混交林和麻栎纯林凋落物分解速率具有重要影响,研究结果为深入开展混交林土壤微生物多样性对凋落物分解的影响研究提供理论依据。  相似文献

大果圆柏(Juniperus tibetica)群落是三江源地区主要森林群落之一,在保障中国水生态安全、保育生物多样性和延缓气候变化等方面发挥着重要作用。该研究以青海省果洛州班玛县大果圆柏天然群落为对象,通过野外调查和室内分析,以明确群落的物种组成,以及物种多样性与土壤因子的关系,为大果圆柏群落物种多样性保护和资源植物开发利用提供参考。结果表明:(1)大果圆柏群落内共有植物169种,隶属36科101属,其中菊科(Compositae)、蔷薇科(Rosaceae)和毛茛科(Ranunculaceae)植物物种最多,分别占总物种的14.20%、13.61%和9.47%。(2)大果圆柏群落的灌、草层物种多样性特征差异显著,草本层的丰富度(2.90)、多样性(2.35)和优势度指数(0.80)均高于灌木层丰富度(1.03)、多样性(1.45)和优势度指数(0.70),而均匀度指数(0.79)低于灌木层(0.89)。(3)0~60 cm土层林地土壤有机质、全氮、全磷含量及pH均值分别为(87.54±20.32) g·kg-1、(4.68±1.36) g·kg-1、(0.83±0.18) g·kg-1和6.73±0.51。(4)灌木层Margalef指数、Shannon Wiener指数与土壤有机质含量呈极显著正相关关系(P<0.01);草本层Margalef指数、Shannon Wiener指数与土壤全钾含量呈显著负相关关系(P<0.05),与土壤pH呈显著正相关关系(P<0.05)。研究认为,青海省大果圆柏林地土壤有机质、全钾含量和pH是影响群落物种多样性的主导因子。  相似文献

土壤质量是维持陆地生态系统稳定性与功能多样性的基础。放牧作为草地资源最广泛的利用方式之一,其对草地土壤质量的影响却缺乏量化标准,且两者之间的作用机理尚不明确。以祁连山高寒草原两个季节性牧场为研究对象,结合生态系统耦合与生态系统多功能性,探究了放牧对高寒草原土壤质量的影响与潜在机制。试验结果表明:基于最小数据集,不同放牧率下土壤质量指数差异显著(P<0.05),冬季牧场和春秋季牧场放牧率分别在2.45头月-1 hm-2和0.80头月-1 hm-2时土壤质量指数最高。土壤速效磷、有机碳、氮磷比和土壤pH是决定冬季牧场土壤质量的关键因子,而春秋季牧场中则是土壤有机碳、碳氮比和土壤pH;两个季节性牧场土壤质量指数与物种丰富度指数(P<0.05)和香浓维纳多样性指数(P<0.0001)呈显著正相关。高寒草原季节性牧场放牧地植物群落物种多样性与土壤因子耦合度在0.67—0.81之间,平均耦合度为0.74,属于中度协调;随着放牧率的增加,生态系统多功能性指数逐渐减低且与土壤质量指数变化趋势相似,...  相似文献

Background

This study was conducted to identify epidemiological characteristics of the first documented CHIK fever outbreak in China and evaluate the effect of the preventive measures taken.

Methodology/Principal Findings

From September 1 to October 29, 2010, China''s first documented outbreak of CHIK fever occurred in the Xincun community of Wanjiang District of Dongguan city, Guangdong province; 253 case-patients were recorded, of which 129 were laboratory confirmed, with an attack rate of 1%. Before September 18th the number of CHIK fever cases remained relatively low in the Xincun community; from September 19th onwards, the number of cases increased drastically, with an outbreak peak on October 4th. Cases were distributed across nine small village groups in the Xincun community, with an attack rate of 0–12% at the village level. The household attack rates ranged between 20% and 100%. No significant difference was found in the attack rate between males and females. There was a significant difference in the attack rate in different age groups (chi-square = 18.35, p = 0.005); highest in patients aged 60 years or older and the lowest in patients aged under 10. The major clinical characteristics of patients are fever (100%), joint pain (79%) and rash (54%). Phylogenetic analysis of the E1 gene on the five earliest confirmed cases showed that the strains of CHIKV isolated from their sera were highly homologous (up to 99%) with isogeneic strains isolated in Thailand in 2009. After control measures were taken, including killing adult mosquitoes and cleaning breeding habitats of Aedes mosquitoes, the Breteau index and Mosq-ovitrap index decreased rapidly, and the outbreak ended on October 29.

Conclusion/Significance

The infection source of the outbreak was imported. Cases showed obvious temporal, spatial, and population aggregation during the outbreak. Comprehensive control measures based on reducing the density of Aedes mosquitoes were effective in controlling the epidemic.  相似文献

2014年春季(5月)、夏季(8月)和秋季(11月)对济南地区24个样点的大型底栖动物和水环境理化因子进行了野外调查。利用多样性指数以及典范对应分析等方法,分析了大型底栖动物群落组成和空间结构特征。结果表明:共采集到大型底栖动物3门57种,分别为节肢动物门、软体动物门和环节动物门。春季、夏季和秋季采集到大型底栖动物45种、35种和33种,春季优势种为霍甫水丝蚓(Limnodrilus hoffmeisteri)和豆螺(Bithynia fuchsiana),夏季优势种为溪流摇蚊(Chironomus riparius)和豆螺(Bithynia fuchsiana),秋季优势种为喜盐摇蚊(Chironomus salinarius)和豆螺(Bithynia fuchsiana)。春季、夏季和秋季密度平均值为2.49×10~3、0.56×10~3、1.03×10~3个体/m~2;生物量平均值为495.59、137.26、109.45 g/m2;Shannon-Wiener指数平均值分别为1.37、1.33和1.17;均匀度指数平均值分别为0.55、0.67和0.59。全地区共划分出大型底栖动物功能摄食类群5类,春季收集者种类最多为20种,夏季刮食者种类最多为12种,秋季收集者与刮食者种类最多为11种,3个季节中收集者密度均占绝对优势,其次为刮食者。典范对应分析表明,春季影响黄河流域和淮河流域大型底栖动物功能摄食类群的主要环境因子是总磷和总氮;夏季影响黄河流域和淮河流域大型底栖动物功能摄食类群的主要环境因子是pH和溶解氧;秋季影响黄河流域和淮河流域大型底栖动物功能摄食类群的主要环境因子是溶解氧和pH。  相似文献

The lack of a clear understanding of the factors governing the often-great variation of species numbers over entire landscapes confounds attempts to manage biodiversity. We hypothesized that in a topographically variable boreal forest landscape the availability of shallow groundwater is a major determinant of plant species numbers. We then developed a topographically derived hydrologic index based on multidirectional flow algorithms to account for the variation in availability of such groundwater in the landscape. We found a positive correlation between species numbers of vascular plants in plots ranging from 0.01 to 200 m2 and the hydrologic index. Generally, the landscape was relatively dry and species-poor, but interspersed patches with shallow groundwater had high species numbers and high proportions of regionally uncommon plant species. The index explained 30% of the variation in vascular plant number and correlated quite well (rs = 0.50) with groundwater level, but not as well with a community H+ concentration value (instead of community pH, rs = −0.31), based on species composition. In addition, we found a very strong correlation between species number and the community H+ concentration value (rs −0.84). The hydrologic index is a useful tool for the identification of spatial of species number patterns across entire landscapes. This is an important step in identifying the areas most in need of protection or restoration, designing survey techniques, and understanding the fundamental processes that control the spatial distribution of species.  相似文献

丛枝菌根(AM)真菌能够和绝大多数陆生植物形成互惠共生体,具有重要的生态功能。在氮(N)沉降日益严重的背景下,越来越多的土壤生态学家开始关注N沉降对AM真菌群落的影响,然而已有研究大多数集中在草地生态系统,对森林生态系统的关注相对较少,而在森林生态系统开展的模拟研究又多采用林下施N的方式,忽略了冠层发生的一系列生态过程,可能无法准确反映真实情形。依托鸡公山野外控制试验平台,采用高通量测序技术就不同施N方式(林下vs林冠)及速率对AM真菌alpha多样性和群落组成的影响进行了连续4 a的监测。试验综合考虑植被、坡向和坡度等因素,采用完全随机区组设计,包括4个区组(重复),每个区组随机设置5个样方,对应5个不同处理:对照(CK)、林冠施N 25 kg hm-2 a-1(CN25)和50 kg hm-2 a-1(CN50)、林下施N 25 kg hm-2 a-1(UN25)和50 kg hm-2 a-1(UN50)。结果发现,在目前的N素添加水平和时间尺度上,施N方式和施N速率对AM真菌的alpha多样性都没有显著影响,二者之间也无交互作用。然而,经过一年的试验处理,施N方式对AM真菌群落组成产生了轻微的影响,而施N速率有极显著的影响,且二者之间存在显著交互作用。当施N速率为25 kg hm-2 a-1时,林冠施N和对照相比差异不显著,而林下施N处理AM真菌群落组成与对照相比差异极显著,与林冠施N相比,差异也极显著;当施N速率为50 kg hm-2 a-1时,林冠施N与对照处理群落组成有略微差异(P=0.080),林下施N与林冠施N及对照处理相比AM真菌群落组成均没有显著变化。在接下来的三年中,施N方式和施N速率对AM真菌的群落组成都没有显著影响,二者之间也无显著交互作用。这说明在特定的施N速率和处理时间下,林下施N可能会高估自然N沉降对AM真菌群落组成的影响。随着处理时间的延长,不同处理下AM真菌群落有趋同的趋势,可能是因为AM真菌群落对N沉降产生了适应性。本研究评估了施N方式对森林生态系统AM真菌群落组成与结构的影响,在未来的研究中需要设定更多的N素梯度和更长的时间跨度,才能够更全面的认识N沉降的生态效应。  相似文献

【目的】了解江苏省徐州市云龙湖大型底栖动物的群落结构及其环境影响因子,可以为保护云龙湖水生态环境提供依据。【方法】于2013—2017年对云龙湖大型底栖动物和水环境因子进行了调查。利用1/16 m2彼得逊采泥器采集大型底栖动物样品,同时利用有机玻璃采水器采集水样,每年的5月和10月各采样一次,共采样10次。利用3种群落多样性指数(Shannon-Wiener指数、Margalef物种丰富度指数、Pielou均匀度指数)评价云龙湖大型底栖动物的群落结构,选择ShannonWiener指数进行水质评价,并应用典型相关分析(CCA)得出大型底栖动物与环境因子之间的关系。【结果】云龙湖大型底栖动物群落结构简单,物种较少,3种群落多样性指数年际波动不大。云龙湖水质多年处于轻污染到中污染水平之间。优势物种中水丝蚓属的主要影响因子是总氮浓度,摇蚊幼虫的主要影响因子为高锰酸盐指数。【结论】云龙湖的水体有富营养化风险,应对云龙湖大型底栖动物的保护和水质改善给予足够重视。  相似文献

为探究薹草属(Carex L.)植物在不同植被类型中的分布状况,该研究对甘肃中东部地区9种薹草属(Carex L.)植物分布区的群落特征进行调查,并对土壤养分状况进行比较分析,以揭示野生薹草群落物种多样性和分布特征与土壤环境因子间的关系。结果表明:(1) 9种薹草群落物种多样性差异性较大,Shannon-Wiener多样性指数(H)、Simpson优势度指数(Dsi)均以青绿薹草群落最高,亚柄薹草最低;Patrick丰富度指数(R)以异穗薹草群落最高,细叶薹草群落最低;Pielou均匀度指数(Jsw)以凹脉薹草群落最高,亚柄薹草最低。(2) 9种野生薹草属植物适宜生长的土壤pH呈中性或弱碱性,且有机质、氮素、钾素含量较丰富,磷含量偏低;土壤有机质、pH、全氮、全磷、全钾、碱解氮、速效磷、速效钾含量的平均值分别为41.07 g·kg-1、8.35、1.16 g·kg-1、0.65 g·kg-1、5.60 g·kg-1、47.94 mg·kg-1、5.82 mg·kg-1和100.60 mg·kg-1。(3) 9种薹草属植物群落物种多样性与全氮、全磷、全钾、碱解氮、有机质、降雨量和海拔呈正相关关系,而与土壤pH、速效磷、速效钾呈负相关关系,且降雨量、土壤pH、速效磷和有机质对9种野生薹草属植物群落物种多样性影响较大。  相似文献

高原鼠兔(Ochotona curzoniae)有效洞穴密度变化会引发高山嵩草(Kobresia pygmaea)草甸植物群落及其种群分布格局发生变化。采用野外调查法研究了高原鼠兔有效洞穴密度对高山嵩草群落特征及其主要种群分布格局的影响。结果表明:随高原鼠兔有效洞穴密度增加,高山嵩草草甸植物群落的优势种没发生明显变化,部分伴生种发生更替;高度、盖度、多样性指数和均匀度指数呈现降低态势;地上生物量和丰富度指数变化不明显;高山嵩草和矮火绒草(Leontopodium nanum)种群的盖度、密度以及生物量均呈现降低态势,而达乌里秦艽(Gentiana dahurica)和小花草玉梅(Anemone rivularis var.flore-minors)种群的盖度、密度和生物量呈增加趋势。高山嵩草和矮火绒草的种群分布格局从8个/625m2和14个/625m2的聚集分布分别变为34个/625m2时的均匀分布和随机分布,达乌里秦艽和小花草玉梅种群从8个/625m2和14个/625m2的随机分布变为23个/625m2和34个/625m2时的聚集分布,这说明高原鼠兔有效洞穴密度变化改变了高山嵩草群落的特征和主要植物种群的空间分布格局,而对应群落特征和种群分布格局改变的有效洞穴密度为14个/625m2和23个/625m2。  相似文献

旱区植物多样性、生产力与环境因子的关系是旱区生态学研究的重要课题,对于揭示该地区植被的环境适应机制有重要的参考价值。基于中国旱区东西样带的系统采样和原位调查,定量分析了各影响因素对旱区植物多样性和生产力变化的解释作用,阐明了旱区群落生产力的调控机制。结果表明:(1)旱区群落性状加权值与地上生物量间的关系(R2=0.46)相较于Shannon-Wiener指数与地上生物量的关系(R2=0.21)更为紧密。(2)旱区群落Shannon-Wiener指数、群落性状加权值、地上生物量与年均降水量、土壤有机碳含量、土壤总氮含量线性正相关,与土壤总磷含量无显著相关性;Shannon-Wiener指数、群落性状加权值与年均气温线性负相关,地上生物量与年均气温无显著相关性。(3)年均降水量对旱区群落性状加权值的解释率为40.9%,两者为正相关关系;年均气温对Shannon-Wiener指数的解释率为28.3%,两者为负相关关系。(4)群落性状加权值对地上生物量的直接路径显著,年均降雨量、年均气温和土壤有机碳通过群落性状加权值间接影响地上生物量。  相似文献

氮沉降是驱动生物多样性变化的重要因素之一。为了探索氮添加对红松(Pinus koraiensis)人工林草本层植物多样性的影响及其驱动机制,以黑龙江凉水国家级自然保护区红松人工林为研究对象,设置N0(对照处理,0 kg hm-2 a-1)、N20(低氮处理,20 kg hm-2 a-1)、N40(中氮处理,40 kg hm-2 a-1)和N80(高氮处理,80 kg hm-2 a-1)4个施氮水平,进行6年的氮添加实验。结果表明:(1)氮添加显著降低草本层3个功能群的密度和盖度,而对高度无显著影响;(2)6年氮添加使对照与施氮处理间群落相似度随施氮水平的增加而减小;(3)氮添加显著降低草本植物的丰富度和Shannon-Wiener多样性指数,而未对蕨类和木本植物的丰富度和Shannon-Wiener多样性指数产生显著影响,对草本层3个功能群的Pielou均匀度指数均无显著影响;(4)氮添加对草本植物的C、N、P含量、N:P、C:P产生显著影响,对木本植物的P含量、N:P、C:P产生显著影响,对蕨类植物的C:N:P生态化学计量均无显著影响;(5)草本植物多样性与土壤化学性质无显著的相关关系,草本植物丰富度、Shannon-Wiener多样性指数与植物盖度、密度呈显著的正相关关系,丰富度与植物N含量呈显著的负相关关系,Shannon-Wiener多样性指数与植物N:P呈显著的负相关关系。研究表明6年氮添加改变植物草本层中物种组成和群落结构,3个功能群密度和盖度显著降低,高度未产生显著变化,仅降低草本植物的丰富度和多样性。造成该现象的原因可能是,不同物种对于氮的利用特性和耐受程度存在差异,氮添加引起草本植物养分失衡,改变物种组成和群落结构,从而影响草本植物多样性。研究结果可为我国温带森林生态系统持续性管理提供数据和理论基础。  相似文献

The selection of certain indicators is critical to undertake ecological risk assessments of long-term oil pollution and other environmental changes. The indicators should be easily and routinely monitored, be sensitive to pollution, respond to pollution in a predictable manner, and match the spatial and temporal scales of investigations. To compare the effectiveness of indicators for the long-term risk assessments, this study investigated the multiple ecological effects of chronic oil pollution on the plant community dominated by reed (Phragmites australis). The physiology, growth and reproduction of reed, together with the composition and productivity of the reed community, were measured around oil wells that have operated for approximately 10 years in the Yellow River Delta, eastern China. The predictive power of each indicator was evaluated using the coefficients of determination (R2) of linear regression models established for each indicator and soil Total Petroleum Hydrocarbons (TPH) concentration. The sensitivities of indicators were evaluated by comparing slopes of new established regression lines using standardized data. The top three indicators in terms of predictive power were leaf length, width and number, followed by the Shannon–Wiener index, Pielou evenness index and Simpson's diversity index. Community aboveground biomass, foliar projective coverage and species richness showed predictive power lower than those of the three diversity indexes, but higher than those of leaf net photosynthetic rate, reed height, aboveground biomass and vertical projective coverage of reed plants. Leaf transpiration, chlorophyll concentration and reed stem density showed no significant linear response to elevated soil TPH concentration. In terms of sensitivity, the top three biological indicators were Pielou evenness index, Simpson's diversity index and Shannon–Wiener index, followed by community vertical projective coverage, community aboveground biomass, and species richness. Leaf number, length and width were moderately sensitive, followed by reed coverage, aboveground biomass and height. The sensitivity of net photosynthetic rate was the lowest. The predictive power and sensitivities of indicators were compared in terms of their spatial and temporal scales. In conclusion, scale can be used to facilitate the selection of indicators, and the combination of different indicators may yield improved understanding of the various effects of elevated soil TPH concentration at the different biological levels.  相似文献

研究河流大型底栖动物群落结构特征及水环境质量对水生态的保护与修复具有重要意义。以青弋江流域为研究对象,于2020年9月进行了大型底栖动物及水体理化因子的调查,采用相对重要性指数、生物多样性指数及Jaccard相似性系数分析了大型底栖动物群落结构特征,运用丰度/生物量比较曲线法及冗余分析法探究了底栖动物群落受到的干扰程度及其主要影响环境因子,最后利用水生态环境质量综合指数对河流水质进行评价。研究结果表明:(1)共采集鉴定大型底栖动物61种,隶属于3门6纲17目,平均丰度为265.9个/m~2,平均生物量41.6 g/m~2。相对重要性指数分析显示,日本沼虾(Macrobrachium nipponensis)、中国圆田螺(Cipangopaludina chinensis)、羽摇蚊(Chironomus plumosus)及扁蜉(Ecdyrus)为群落中的主要优势种。(2)由群落相似性分析知,Jaccard相似性系数较低,调查点位之间存在较强的空间异质性。(3)冗余分析表明,电导率、氨氮浓度及流速是影响底栖动物群落结构的主要环境因子。(4)生物指数分析结果显示该流域水质为轻度污染或中度污...  相似文献

Five antifouling biocides, chlorothalonile, dichlofluanide, medetomidine, tolylfluanide, and zinc pyrithione, were evaluated regarding their effect on the composition of the periphyton community and the subsequent toxicant-induced succession (TIS). The periphyton communities were exposed in a semi-static setting for 96 h using a SWIFT microcosm. As a measure of community composition, pigment profiles from the exposed communities were used as effect indicators and compared with unexposed parts of the same community using the Bray–Curtis dissimilarity index. Chlorothalonile caused changes in the community starting at 85 μg l?1 while dichlofluanide had no effect even at the highest concentrations used, 810 μg l?1. The related substance tolylfluanide only affected the community composition at 2700 μg l?1. Medetomidine had a different response curve with a small effect on the community composition at 0.8 μg l?1 which then disappeared only to reappear at 240 μg l?1. Zinc pyrithione had the largest effect on the periphyton community with changes starting at 10 μg l?1 and no detectable pigments at 100 μg l?1. The changes in the community composition for the five substances were also compared using multidimensional scaling. When all substances were analyzed and plotted together, chlorothalonile, dichlofluanide, medetomidine, and tolylfluanide showed surprisingly similar effects compared to zinc pyrithione that gave very different TIS. However, when only chlorothalonile, dichlofluanide, and tolylfluanide were plotted together, clear differences in TIS between the three toxicants were revealed. Dichlofluanide only induced small effects, while concentration-dependent TIS trajectories for chlorothalonile and tolylfluanide took off in opposite directions indicating very different responses of the periphyton communities. This study demonstrates that substances with a similar chemical structure and mechanisms of action can have different effects on the community composition. With the exception of zinc pyrithione, none of the recorded effect levels were at concentrations reported from marine environments so far.  相似文献

Creosote was evaluated as an inexpensive carbon source for growing inocula of a polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbon (PAH)-degrading bacterial community (community five). Creosote was a poor growth substrate when provided as sole carbon source in a basal salts solution (BSM). Alternatively, peptone, yeast extract or glucose in BSM supported high growth rates, but community five could not subsequently degrade pyrene. A combination of creosote and yeast extract in BSM (CYEM) supported growth and maintained the pyrene-degrading capacity of community five. Optimum pyrene-degrading activity occurred when the inocula were grown in creosote and yeast extract concentrations of 2 ml L−1 and 1 g L−1 respectively: concentrations outside these values resulted in either low biomass yields or loss of PAH-degrading activity. CYEM-grown community five inocula degraded 250 mg L−1 of pyrene in BSM at a rate comparable to cultures inoculated with community five grown in BSM-pyrene. However, the CYEM-grown community showed a 40% lower rate of PAH degradation in a synthetic PAH mixture compared with pyrene-grown cells and there was an increase in the lag period before the onset of PAH degradation. 揭示不同恢复阶段热带森林土壤细菌呼吸季节变化及其主控因素,对于探明土壤细菌呼吸对热带森林恢复的响应机制具有重要的科学意义。以西双版纳不同恢复阶段热带森林(白背桐群落、崖豆藤群落和高檐蒲桃群落)为研究对象,运用真菌呼吸抑制法及高通量宏基因组测序技术分别测定土壤细菌呼吸速率和细菌多样性,并采用回归分析及结构方程模型揭示热带森林恢复过程中土壤细菌多样性、pH、土壤碳氮组分变化对土壤细菌呼吸速率的影响特征。结果表明:1)不同恢复阶段热带森林土壤细菌呼吸速率表现为:高檐蒲桃群落((1.51±0.62)CO2 mg g-1 h-1)显著高于崖豆藤群落((1.16±0.56)CO2 mg g-1 h-1)和白背桐群落((0.82±0.60)CO2 mg g-1 h-1)(P<0.05)。2)不同恢复阶段土壤细菌呼吸速率呈显著的单峰型季节变化(P<0.05),最大值均出现在9月:高檐蒲桃群落((...  相似文献
