The distribution of stomatocysts of chrysophyte algae in the plankton of bodies of water of different types in the basin of the middle reach of the Irtysh (at the Omsk Region), as well as in the plankton and in fouling of the deep-water oligotrophic lake Teletskoe (Gorny Altai) has been considered. The classification of morphotypes of stomatocysts has been carried out. The number of morphotypes found in plankton samples from bodies of water of the middle Irtysh basin is 30 and, in Lake Teletskoe, 60. Four similar morphotypes of cysts were revealed for the bodies of water under investigation.  相似文献

Northern lakes, for which we have little long-term data, are predicted to experience profound impacts with greenhouse warming. In order to assess the usefulness of chrysophytes as paleoenvironmental indicators, stomatocysts were enumerated from the surface sediments of 51 Alaskan lakes distributed along a strong climatic gradient. A total of 142 cyst morphotypes were described using light microscopy, of which 13 are believed to be new forms.
Principal components analysis of the stomatocyst assemblages showed a limited amount of variation (Λ1= 0.11, Λ2= 0.09). However, redundancy analysis identified total phosphorus (TP), sodium (Na), and altitude (ALT) as significant variables in terms of their ability to describe the distribution of stomatocysts. Major ion and nutrient concentrations were also found to be strong predictors of diatom variation from the same lake set. In comparison to the diatom assemblages from the same lakes, the cysts were less abundant and showed a lower amount of species variation. Reasons for the lack of variation may be due to the predominance of unornamented and collective category cysts (i. e. cysts which cannot be differentiated under the light microscope).  相似文献

Chrysophycean stomatocysts associated with three different periphytic substrates (wet mosses, submerged mosses and rock scrapes) were investigated from ponds on Cape Herschel (78°37'N, 74°42'W), Ellesmere Island in the Canadian High Arctic. The goal of this study was to determine whether a distinct assemblage of periphytic chrysophyte cysts existed and, if so, whether assemblage composition varied with substrate and between ponds. One hundred and thirty-seven different cyst morphotypes were observed with light microscopy from 68 periphytic samples taken from 35 ponds. Twenty-six of these cysts were new morphotypes, of which 16 were identified and described using scanning electron microscopy. Significantly more cyst types with collars and hooked projections in the collar region (i.e. 'hooked'), and fewer unomamented morphotypes were recorded in the periphytic habitats as compared to the surface sediments. Wet moss stomatocyst assemblages were particularly distinct, with a high number of heavily silicified and hooked morphotypes. The morphotype richness was far greater in periphytic environments, with 86, 100 and 95 morphotypes observed in the wet mosses, submerged mosses and rock scrapes, respectively, as compared to only 35 types in the surface sediments of the ponds. Canonical correspondence analysis indicated that measured water chemistry did not account for the variation in the species data (paxic 1 < 0.01, 999 Monte Carlo permutations). This study suggests that distinct periphytic assemblages exist, and that cyst morphotype composition and richness varies with substrate.  相似文献

The marine ecosystem of Kongsfjorden experiences large variations in primary productivity due to pronounced seasonal variations in sunlight, glacier melt, and ice cover. The objective of this study was to assess spatial and seasonal variability in the downward export of biogenic matter in Kongsfjorden. Short-term sediment traps were deployed for periods ranging from 21 to 52 h at three stations from the inner fjord to the outer fjord in May, August, and October 2012 and at one mid-fjord station in January 2013. Total particulate matter, particulate organic carbon, phytoplankton cells, chlorophyll a, biogenic particulate silica, and zooplankton fecal pellet fluxes were measured to determine the magnitude and composition of the material exported in the fjord. The amount and composition of export fluxes reflected a large phytoplankton bloom grazed upon by zooplankton in May, the melting of glaciers and the intrusion of Atlantic Water in August, the end of the glacier melt period in October, and the polar night in January. Overall, seasonal changes in the phytoplankton community impacted export efficiency in the fjord, directly through phytoplankton sinking and indirectly through zooplankton grazing. Results obtained in this study may reflect the magnitude and composition of export fluxes to expect in coming years in Kongsfjorden, especially under conditions of warmer Atlantic Water and longer glacier melt periods.  相似文献

受人类活动影响,输入到湖泊、河口中的营养盐剧增,导致水体富营养化、食物链结构改变、底质季节性缺氧等生态环境变化。这些环境变化会在沉积物中留下记录,沉积物中生源要素及其稳定同位素的变化是指示水域古生产力、营养盐水平的有效指标。总结归纳了沉积物中生源要素(碳、氮、磷、硅)指标对水体环境中初级生产力、物质来源、营养盐水平3方面变化的指示作用。沉积物中TOC、TN、δ13C、CaCO3和BSi可以反映水体沉降有机质含量和浮游植物的生长状况,是指示水域初级生产力水平的有效指标。根据不同类型植物来源的有机质中δ13C、δ15N和C/N的差异,可以追踪沉积物中有机质的来源。有效地区分有机质来源对于研究人类活动对水体环境的影响及水体富营养化具有重要的价值。沉积物中TN、δ15 N、TP和非磷灰石磷(NAIP)含量的升高直接反映了陆源输入氮、磷的增加。BSi在指示浮游植物生长状况的同时,还反映了水体溶解硅浓度水平和富营养化状况。水体中的生源物质在沉降和埋藏的过程中,会受到早期成岩作用、水动力搬运等众多因素的作用,使沉积物记录的环境变化信息发生改变,从而干扰其对水体环境演变的重建作用。因此综合分析各生源要素指标反映的环境变化信息及其可能的干扰因素,方能正确地反映水域的环境变化过程。  相似文献

To diagnose the nutritional status of phytoplankton in Lake Baikal, surveys for the determination of concentrations of particulate carbon (PC), nitrogen (PN) and phosphorus (PP) and their ratios were conducted at six stations in March, June, August and October 1999. The concentrations of PC and PN were lower than, and those of PP were similar to, those in another mesotrophic lake except at the station near the mouth of the largest input river, Selenga River, of Lake Baikal. The PC : PN : PP ratio was 102 : 13 : 1, considerably close to the Redfield ratio. The ratio was constant against spatiotemporal changes. These indicate that phytoplankton in Lake Baikal were exposed to no deficiency in nitrogen nor phosphorus. From a viewpoint of the nutritional status of phytoplankton, Lake Baikal might be viewed as an ocean rather than as a lake.  相似文献

沱江浮游生物群落时空分布及相关环境因子分析   总被引:3,自引:0,他引:3  
为研究沱江浮游生物群落结构的时空特征,并探讨影响其形成的环境因子,于2013年对沱江10个采样断面按季节进行采样分析。研究期间共检出浮游甲壳动物13种,以中小型枝角类和剑水蚤为主; 尽管桡足类密度与枝角类接近,但由于体型原因桡足类生物量始终占据优势地位。检出浮游植物7门95种,优势属7个,全年均以硅藻为主。两类生物在上游资阳市区的断面中总生物量最高,中游农村断面最低; 其生物量季节变化也趋于一致,均在丰水季节8月取得最高值,枯水季节2月最低。与历史数据相比,呈现出浮游植物增多,浮游甲壳动物减少的趋势。根据结构方程模型(SEM)和冗余分析(RDA)的结果,浮游甲壳动物生物量在浮游植物生物量和溶氧高的环境中较大,桡足类对溶氧的要求比中小型枝角类高。浮游植物对高温、高营养和高pH较偏好,尤其是一些优势属。尽管受浮游植物生物量影响,浮游动物对浮游植物的控制力却极弱。在流速缓慢且污染较严重的城市江段浮游植物密度已高达2.7107 cells/L,浮游动物尽管能选择性地以部分浮游植物为食,对其控制力却极弱,如不加强污染控制,沱江可能有暴发水华的危险。  相似文献

Concentrations of dissolved silicate and particulate biogenic silicate were measured in three branches of the lower river Rhine in The Netherlands in order to analyse the role of this element in the eutrophication of the river basin. Particulate silicate followed the seasonal development of the phytoplankton, which was dominated by diatoms. The concentration of dissolved silicate fell during blooms (< 0.1 mg.l–1 ), but the amounts of biogenic silicate measured ( 1 mg.l–1) were insufficient to explain the seasonal decrease in the dissolved fraction; this indicates retention of silicate upstream. Some particulate biogenic silicate in river water settled in man-made sedimentation areas in the Rhine delta. The observations suggest that changes in silicate fixation in the Rhine may have contributed to the incidence of non-diatom phytoplankton blooms in receiving waters.  相似文献

Chrysophyte cyst biogeographical and ecological distributions: a synthesis   总被引:1,自引:0,他引:1  
The distributions of chrysophyte stomatocysts in the sediments of 221 lakes from four study areas located in British Columbia, Canada (two datasets), New York, U.S.A., and south central Siberia were examined. The combined lake set spanned a wide range of chemical and morphometric variables. Approximately 400 cyst morphotypes were identified, from which we selected sixty-three common types for further analysis. Canonical ordination (detrended canonical correspondence analysis (DCCA) and constrained DCCA) showed that four environmental variables (pH, conductivity, depth and total phosphorus (TP) ) were significant (Monte Carlo permutation test, P =0.01 for all four variables) and independent determinants of the cyst distributions. Weighted averaging (WA) inference models were developed for each variable. The best models, in terms of their r 2, were developed for pH and conductivity ( r 2=0.78 and 0.73, respectively). The models for depth and TP were less robust ( r 2=0.47 and 0.46, respectively). We discuss the relative importance of conductivity and salinity, lakewater acidity and metal concentrations, lake morphometry and trophic status as determinants of chrysophyte population distributions, and possible causal mechanisms for each variable. We identify assemblages of cysts that appear to be associated with six different groups of lakes: (1) very acidic (pH <6.5) lakes; (2) acidic (pH <7.0), softwater lakes; (3) circumneutral (pH 7–8), oligo- to mesotrophic lakes; (4) alkaline, hardwater, meso- to eutrophic lakes; (5) shallow, alkaline (pH 8–8.5), meso- to eutrophic lakes; and (6) shallow, very alkaline (pH >8.5) lakes, including sub- and hyposaline lakes. Finally, we suggest further possible avenues for research that will improve the usefulness of chrysophyte stomatocysts as paleolimnological indicators.  相似文献

作为受人类活动影响显著的典型半封闭海湾,胶州湾生源要素的大气沉降研究在揭示人为污染物质排放对海湾生态系统影响方面具有典型性.从大气干/湿沉降生源要素的研究方法、通量及其影响因素、入海生态效应3个方面入手,系统总结了胶州湾生源要素大气干、湿沉降及其生态效应的研究进展:1)与国内外有关海湾、河口和边缘海相比,胶州湾大气干、湿沉降氮的浓度和通量都较高,溶解无机氮(DIN)是其主要组分,溶解有机氮(DON)占总溶解态氮(TDN)含量的22%~31%,而P和Si的浓度和沉降通量都很低.2) (NO3--N+NO2--N)的大气沉降量比陆源输入量略高,而NH4+-N、PO43--P以及SiO32--Si的大气沉降量所占比例很低.3)大气总悬浮颗粒物(TSP)浓度、排放源强度、降水量以及气象条件是影响胶州湾大气沉降生源要素的主要因素.4)大气沉降的生源要素可促进胶州湾初级生产力的提高和改变表层海水的营养盐结构,进而导致浮游植物群落结构的改变和优势种由硅藻向甲藻的演替,从而对胶州湾生态系统产生重要影响.对今后的研究提出建议:1)建设胶州湾大气干/湿沉降监测网;2)精确量化不同形态和粒径生源要素颗粒的干沉降速率;3)量化大气沉降生源要素入海的生态效应,并深入剖析其生物地球化学机制;4)甄别大气沉降生源要素通过间接方式入海的机制、通量及影响因素.深入研究胶州湾生源要素的大气沉降,对阐明人类活动对海湾生态系统的影响有积极意义,也有助于加深对陆架边缘海生源要素生物地球化学循环过程的理解.  相似文献

Sulfur is one of the critical elements in living matter, as it participates in several structural, metabolic and catalytic activities. Photosynthesis is an important process that entails the use of sulfur during both the light and carbon reactions. Nearly half of global photosynthetic carbon fixation is carried out by phytoplankton in the aquatic environment. Aquatic environments are very different from one another with respect to sulfur content: while in the oceans sulfate concentration is constantly high, freshwaters are characterized by daily and seasonal variations and by a wide range of sulfur concentration. The strategies that algal cells adopt for energy and resource allocation often reflect these differences. In the oceans, the amount and chemical form of sulfur has changed substantially during the course of the Earth's history; it is possible that sulfur availability played a role in the evolution of marine phytoplankton communities and it may continue to have appreciable effects on global biogeochemistry and ecology. Phytoplankton is also the main biogenic source of sulfur; sulfur can be released into the atmosphere by algal cells as dimethylsulfide, with possibly important repercussions on global climate. Abstract

A survey of planktonic dinoflagellates and related cysts was carried out in the Gulf of Trieste throughout one year from April 1992 to March 1993. 113 taxa were recovered by the analysis of phytoplankton net samples. The most represented genera were Protoperidinium (34 species), Ceratium (24 species), Dinophysis (15 species), Gonyaulax (11 species) and Prorocentrum (8 species). A particular attention was given to potentially toxic species belonging to the genera Dinophysis, Alexandrium and Prorocentrum. The highest number of species (67 species) was recorded in July, and the lowest one (18 species) in February.

33 cyst morphotypes were recorded by the analysis of sediment samples. The most represented genera were Protoperidinium (8 morphotypes), Scrippsiella (3 morphotypes), Gonyaulax (3 morphotypes) and Alexandrium (2 morphotypes); the cysts most frequently found were those of Conyaulax polyedra and Alexandrium pseudogonyaulax.  相似文献

在淮南矿区设置潘谢潘集站(PXPJ)、潘谢顾桥站(PXGQ)和潘谢谢桥站(PXXQ)等3个塌陷湖泊站点,分别代表3种典型矿区湖泊水文生态条件,于2013—2014年分4个季度采样并分析了3个湖泊浮游植物功能群组成、季节演替规律及其与环境和生物因子的关系。结果显示,3个湖泊的浮游植物种类可归入16个功能群,其主要优势功能群反映了小型富营养化湖泊水体的生境特征。PXPJ春季S1、X2和Y为主要优势功能群,分别以伪鱼腥藻(Pseudanabaena sp.)、具尾蓝隐藻(Chroomonas caudata Geitler)和卵形隐藻(Cryptomonas ovata Ehr.)为代表种属,随后3个季节C为第1优势功能群,以链形小环藻(Cyclotella catenata)为代表物种。PXGQ春夏秋3个季节中均以伪鱼腥藻为代表的S1功能群占绝对优势地位,冬季向C(以链形小环藻为代表)和D(以尖针杆藻为代表)为主的功能群演替。PXXQ春季X2和Y为主要优势功能群,分别以具尾蓝隐藻和卵形隐藻为代表,夏秋季以伪鱼腥藻为代表的S1功能群占据优势地位,冬季向C(链形小环藻为代表)和E(长锥形锥囊藻为代表)功能群为主的群落结构演替。水温和光照条件是驱动淮南采煤塌陷湖泊浮游植物功能群季节演替的关键环境因子,而营养盐和生物因素是导致3个湖泊功能群组成差异的重要原因。  相似文献

三门湾浮游动物的季节变动及微型浮游动物摄食影响   总被引:6,自引:0,他引:6  
2002年8月、11月、2003年2月和5月,在三门湾进行了4个航次生物、化学和水文等专业综合调查。根据采集的浮游动物样品的分析鉴定及海上现场实验结果,对浮游动物的群落组成、生物量、丰度、多样性指数的分布和季节变动及其浮游动物对浮游植物的摄食影响进行研究。结果表明,三门湾浮游动物有67属,89种,16类浮游幼体,主要可划分为4个生态类群:以近岸低盐类群为主,其优势种为中华哲水蚤Calanus sinicus、真刺唇角水蚤Labidocera etwhaeta、捷氏歪水蚤Tortanus derjugini、太平洋纺锤水蚤Acartiapacifica、中华假磷虾Pseudeuphausia sinica和百陶箭虫Sagitta bedoti等。半咸水河口类群、暖水性外海类群和广布种相对较少。浮游动物生物量和丰度的平面分布趋势除了夏季有所差异外,其它季节基本一致。2月份和5月份,浮游动物生物量和丰度,从湾顶向湾口呈逐渐增加趋势;8月份,湾口区生物量最高,而丰度高值区出现在湾顶部;11月份,生物量和丰度的平面分布相对均匀。浮游动物种类多样性指数有明显的季节变化,其动态变化与浮游动物种数和丰度的变化一致。微型浮游动物对浮游植物存在摄食压力,且有季节变化,摄食率的变化在0.18.0.68d^-1,微型浮游动物的摄食率低于相同季节的浮游植物生长率。微型浮游动物对浮游植物摄食压力的变化范围为16.1%-49.1%d^-1,对初级生产力摄食压力的变化在58.3%-83.6%d^-1。11月份,微型浮游动物对浮游植物和初级生产力的摄食压力均出现最高值。  相似文献

Concentrations of phytoplankton photosynthetic pigments were measured at the Biya head water (in the immediate vicinity of Lake Teletskoe) every 10 days from July 1998 through December 2001. Comparison of phytoplankton pigment characteristics at the river’s head waters and at the surface of the lake’s pelagic zone for the ice-free period shows that the monitoring data give a clear picture of the formation and functioning of the lake phytoplankton. Analysis of seasonal fluctuations of pigment characteristics and their proportions revealed characteristic stages in the development of lake algal cenoses. We have demonstrated similarities and differences in the seasonal dynamics of the phytoplankton between Lake Teletskoe, a deep oligotrophic lake in the south of West Siberia, as compared with the general pattern observed in temperate lakes. According to the concentration of chlorophyll a, the trophic status of the lake’s pelagic zone and the Biya head water is ultraoligotrophic-oligotrophic. Yellow:green pigment ratio ranks Lake Teletskoe among “carotenoid lakes“. Low coefficients of linear correlation between chlorophyll a, water level and biogenic matter concentration shows that the relationships analyzed are far more complex than has been inferred from the combined effect of abiotic and biotic factors.  相似文献

The study investigated zooplankton seasonal dynamics in the pelagic and shelf zones at the eastern coast of Lake Baikal, near the Baikal Pulp-and-Paper Plant, in August and September of 2005, 2006, and 2007. It was shown that zooplankton development in the 0–50 mdepth over the study period followed a characteristic Baikal pattern despite increased industrial pressure on the study site.  相似文献

In a previous study, biogenic silver nanoparticles were produced by Lactobacillus fermentum which served as a matrix preventing aggregation. In this study the antibacterial activity of this biogenic silver was compared to ionic silver and chemically produced nanosilver. The minimal inhibitory concentration (MIC) was tested on Gram-positive and Gram-negative bacteria and was comparable for biogenic silver and ionic silver ranging from 12.5 to 50 mg/L. In contrast, chemically produced nanosilver had a much higher MIC of at least 500 mg/L, due to aggregation upon application. The minimal bactericidal concentration (MBC) in drinking water varied from 0.1 to 0.5 mg/L for biogenic silver and ionic silver, but for chemically produced nanosilver concentrations, up to 12.5 mg/L was needed. The presence of salts and organic matter decreased the antimicrobial activity of all types of silver resulting in a higher MBC and a slower inactivation of the bacteria. The mode of action of biogenic silver was mainly attributed to the release of silver ions due to the high concentration of free silver ions measured and the resemblance in performance between biogenic silver and ionic silver. Radical formation by biogenic silver and direct contact were found to contribute little to the antibacterial activity. In conclusion, biogenic nanosilver exhibited equal antimicrobial activity compared to ionic silver and can be a valuable alternative for chemically produced nanosilver.  相似文献

An HPLC analysis of the summer phytoplankton assemblage in Lake Baikal   总被引:5,自引:0,他引:5  
1. The enormous size and spatial heterogeneity of Lake Baikal require rapid methods for large sample sets. We therefore tested the applicability of a novel, high‐performance liquid chromatography (HPLC)‐based, combination of methods for analysing phytoplankton. In July 2001, samples were collected in a transect across the lake at various depths down to 30 m. Phytoplankton (>3 μm) and autotrophic picoplankton (APP) were counted under light and epifluorescence microscopes, respectively. Pigments were analysed with HPLC. 2. The pigment data allowed the contributions of the dominant phytoplankton groups to the total chlorophyll a (Chl a) in the lake to be estimated by multiple linear regression and by the CHEMTAX matrix factorisation program. Three marker pigments, fucoxanthin, lutein and zeaxanthin, were shown to be useful indicators of the abundance and spatial distribution of certain phytoplankton groups. The relative contributions of the various phytoplankton groups to the total Chl a in the lake determined using these marker pigments were similar, but not identical, to those determined by cell counts. 3. Pigment analyses of isolated strains from Lake Baikal and some European lakes confirmed that phycoerythrin‐containing Cyanobacteria with very high amounts of zeaxanthin were responsible for the low Chl a/zeaxanthin ratios of the water samples. A picoplanktonic species of Eustigmatophyceae was isolated from the lake. Its high violaxanthin content, responsible for very low Chl a/violaxanthin ratios of some water samples, can be used to estimate the contribution of this group to total Chl a.  相似文献

于20122013 年对三峡水库坝前水域浮游植物组成、优势种、密度、生物量及多样性进行了周年季度调查, 共鉴定浮游植物151 种属, 其中绿藻门71 种, 硅藻门47 种, 蓝藻门20 种, 隐藻门和甲藻门各4 种,裸藻门和金藻门各2 种, 黄藻门1 种。浮游植物优势种的季节更替明显, 夏季和秋季优势种类为硅藻和绿藻,冬季为硅藻、蓝藻和绿藻, 春季为绿藻、硅藻和隐藻。浮游植物年均密度和生物量分别为3.95106 ind./L 和4.078 mg/L, 空间差异表现为支流和库湾远高于干流, 季节动态表现为夏季最高, 春季和冬季次之, 秋季最低。三峡水库坝前水域浮游植物多样性指数偏低, 水体污染类型属于-中污染。研究为客观了解三峡水库坝前水域浮游植物群落的空间分布与季节变化特征提供一定的参考依据。    相似文献
