Noradrenaline (10 microgram) injected into the lateral cerebral ventricle of guinea pigs aged 2 to 12 days produced a rapid increase in oxygen consumption and in colonic temperature at an ambient temperature of 30 degrees C. The increase was most pronounced in the youngest animals and decreased with advancing age, but was still significant at 12 days of age. Species differences and the role of ambient temperature in the responses are discussed.  相似文献

Experiments were carried out to determine the role of nitric oxide in mediating autonomic and behavioral thermoregulatory control in rat pups on postnatal days 1-2, 5-6, and 10-11. For an experiment, each pup received a subcutaneous injection of vehicle, NG-nitro-D-arginine methyl ester (D-NAME; 100 mg/kg), or NG-nitro-L-arginine methyl ester (L-NAME; 100 mg/kg) before being placed in a metabolic chamber or in a thermocline with a linear temperature gradient of 23 to 43 degrees C. In the metabolic chamber, oxygen consumption and core temperature were measured as ambient temperature was decreased from 40 to 15 degrees C over a 60-min period. Decreasing ambient temperature elicited an increase in oxygen consumption in all age groups that received vehicle or d-NAME. The lower critical temperature and peak oxygen consumption upon exposure to cold after vehicle were 41 +/- 10 ml x kg(-1) x min(-1) at 30 degrees C, 43 +/- 12 ml x kg(-1) x min(-1) at 28 degrees C, and 55 +/- 11 ml x kg(-1) x min(-1) at 25 degrees C in the 1- to 2-, 5- to 6-, and 10- to 11-day-old pups, respectively. Administration of L-NAME abolished the oxygen consumption response to cold in the 1- to 2- and 5- to 6-day-old pups and significantly attenuated the oxygen consumption response to cold in the 10- to 11-day-old pups. Selected ambient temperature in the thermocline was not significantly affected by prior administration of D-NAME or L-NAME compared with vehicle. Thus our data provide evidence that the nitric oxide system plays a role in mediating autonomic but not behavioral thermoregulatory control in rat pups during early postnatal maturation.  相似文献

Resting subjects were immersed for 30 min in water at 22 and 30 degrees C after drinking alcohol. Total ventilation, end-tidal PCO2, rectal temperature, aural temperature, mean skin temperature, heart rate, and oxygen consumption were recorded during the experiments. Blood samples taken before the immersion period were analyzed by gas-liquid chromatography. The mean blood alcohol levels were 82.50 +/- 9.93 mg.(100 ml)-1 and 100.6 +/- 12.64 mg (100 ml)-1 for the immersions at 22 and 30 degrees C, respectively. There was no significant change in body temperature measured aurally or rectally, mean surface skin temperature, or heart rate at either water temperature tested. Total expired ventilation was significantly attenuated for the last 15 min of the immersion at 22 degrees C, after alcohol consumption as compared to the ventilation change in water at 22 degrees C without ethanol. This response was not consistently significantly altered during immersion in water at 30 degrees C. It is evident that during a 30-min immersion in tepid water with a high blood alcohol level, body heat loss is not affected but some changes in ventilation do occur.  相似文献

The serotonin (5-HT) and 5-hydroxyindoleacttic acid (5-HIAA) levels and 5-HT turnover were studies in the brain stem of warm- (+30 degrees C) and cold- (+6 degrees C) acclimated golden hamsters, exposed for 3 hours to temperatures of +6 degrees C, +30 degrees C and +37 degrees C, respectively. In war-acclimated hamsters kept under conditions the 5-HT level in the brain did not change significantly during the year. The 5-HIAA level was slightly higher in the winter. The 5-HT turnover varied within limits of 0.071 to 0.180 mug/g/hour-1. Three hours' exposure of warm-acclimated golden hamsters to cold (6 degrees C) increased the concentrations of 5-HT and 5-HIAA and the 5-HT turnover in the brain. After long-term adaptation to cold (6 degrees C) the 5-HT level, and the 5-HT turnover returned to the original level. Three hours' exposure of golden hamsters to higher environmental temperatures (warm-acclimated individuals to 37 degrees C and cold-acclimated individuals to 30 degrees C) also increased the 5-HT turnover. The concentrations of 5-HT and 5-HIAA increased in cold-acclimated golden hamsters exposed to 30 degrees C and was not changed in warm-acclimated ones, exposed to 37 degrees C. Although the elevated temperatures induce greater changes in serotonin metabolism than lowered temperatures, the serotonin pathways in the brain do not seem to be affected by short-term temperature changes specifically. The findings are rather indicative that changes in 5-HT turnover may be the primary reaction to stressful conditions.  相似文献

The intensity of adult diapause in Pyrrhocoris apterus was measured in two series of experiments as the duration of pre-oviposition period at a constant temperature of 25 degrees C after transfer from short (12L:12D) to long day conditions (18L:6D). Higher diapause intensity was induced with a thermoperiod than at constant temperatures. After the induction throughout larval instars 3-5 and during 4 weeks of adult life at short days and a thermoperiod of 25/15 degrees C the pre-oviposition period was 30+/-4 and 26+/-3 days. After induction at constant 25 degrees C the pre-oviposition period was 22+/-3 and 23+/-4 days, while after induction at constant 20 degrees C it was 17+/-4 and 19+/-4 days. Induction at a lower constant temperature of 20 degrees C was thus followed by a less intense diapause than the induction at a higher constant temperature of 25 degrees C. These counterintuitive results are discussed. The oxygen consumption rate measured at experimental temperatures prior to transfer from short to long days was higher at thermoperiodic conditions than at constant temperatures and it was similar at constant 20 and 25 degrees C. Thus, the oxygen consumption rate measured prior to the transfer was highest (indication of the least intense diapause) in the insects that showed later, after the transfer to long days, the longest pre-oviposition period (indication of the most intense diapause). Within the first two days after transfer to constant 25 degrees C, oxygen consumption rate measured at 25 degrees C decreased in the thermoperiodic insects, while it transiently increased in insects from constant 20 degrees C. Two days and later after the transfer, oxygen consumption rate was similar in all groups. Cold hardiness was not correlated with diapause intensity. The low lethal temperature in diapausing insects was correlated with the night temperature during diapause induction.  相似文献

3,4-Methylenedioxymethamphetamine (MDMA, 'ecstasy') produces acute hyperthermia which increases the severity of the selective serotoninergic neurotoxicity produced by the drug in rats. Heat shock protein 70 (Hsp70) is a major inducible cellular protein expressed in stress conditions and which is thought to exert protective functions. MDMA (12.5 mg/kg, i.p.), given to rats housed at 22 degrees C, produced an immediate hyperthermia and increased Hsp70 in frontal cortex between 3 h and 7 days after administration. MDMA, given to rats housed at low ambient temperature (4 degrees C) produced transient hypothermia followed by mild hyperthermia but no increase in Hsp70 expression, while rats treated at elevated room temperature (30 degrees C) showed enhanced hyperthermia and similar expression of Hsp70 to that seen in rats housed at 22 degrees C. Fluoxetine-induced inhibition of 5-HT release and hydroxyl radical formation did not modify MDMA-induced Hsp70 expression 3 h later. Four- or 8-day heat shock (elevation of basal rectal temperature by 1.5 degrees C for 1 h) or geldanamycin pre-treatment induced Hsp70 expression and protected against MDMA-induced serotoninergic neurotoxicity without affecting drug-induced hyperthermia. Thus, MDMA-induced Hsp70 expression depends on the drug-induced hyperthermic response and not on 5-HT release or hydroxyl radical formation and pre-induction of Hsp70 protects against the long-term serotoninergic damage produced by MDMA.  相似文献

Analytical methods, using capillary gas chromatography and normal-phase high-performance liquid chromatography, were developed for the analysis of the neurotoxic chemicals n-hexane, 2-hexanone, and 2,5-hexanedione and their suspected metabolites. Two gas chromatographic methods, using a 50-m glass capillary OV 101 column and cyclohexane as an internal standard, were employed. In both methods, the injector and detector temperatures were 220 and 280 degrees C, respectively. In method I the following temperature program was used: isothermic at 50 degrees C for 30 min, followed by a temperature increase of 10 degrees C/min to a final temperature of 180 degrees C, which was then maintained for 7 min. This method was used to analyze the following compounds: n-hexane, 2,5-dimethylfuran, 2-hexanone, 3-hexanone, hexanal, 1-hexanol, 2-hexanol, 3-hexanol, 5-hydroxy-2-hexanone, gamma-valerolactone, 2,5-hexanedione, and 2,5-hexanediol. Method II, which was developed for n-hexane and eight of its more common metabolites, used the following temperature program: isothermic at 70 degrees C for 15 min, followed by a temperature increase of 40 degrees C/min to a final temperature of 220 degrees C, which was maintained for 5 min. A linear relationship between peak area and amount injected was observed over a 100-fold range. The minimum detectable amounts ranged from 0.05 to 1 microgram, depending on the compound. Normal-phase HPLC, using a 5-micron silica cartridge fitted into an RCM-100 radial-compression separation system, was utilized to analyze 2-hexanone and its metabolites 2,5-dimethylfuran, gamma-valerolactone, 5-hydroxy-2-hexanone, and 2,5-hexanedione.(ABSTRACT TRUNCATED AT 250 WORDS)  相似文献

In unanaesthetized adult rabbits an intravenous dose of E. coli endotoxin evoked a febrile rise in colonic temperature at ambient temperatures of 9 to 31 degrees C. The rise in colonic temperature and oxygen consumption did not depend on the ambient temperature, while, among the heat loss effectors, in warmer environments only the depression of respiratory heat loss and in cooler environments only ear skin vasoconstriction contributed to the febrile rise in colonic temperature. In moderately warm environments the endotoxin first induced a maximum inhibition of respiratory frequency and this was followed by vasoconstriction. Later, a transient rise in oxygen consumption occurred. During defervescence the timing of the effectors was reversed. The results showed that a febrile response is not necessarily characterized by simultaneous changes in the thermoregulatory effector mechanisms.  相似文献

This study was undertaken to determine the effects of 2,450-MHz microwave irradiation on thermoregulation, metabolism, and cardiovascular function of rats. Young adult male animals (430 g) were exposed for 30 min to 2,450-MHz microwaves in a cavity at absorbed dose rates of 0, 4.5, 6.5, or 11.1 mW/G. For animals of the size used in this study, these dose rates represent absorption of energy at the rate of 27.7, 40.1, and 68.2 cal/min, respectively. For a period of 5 h following exposure, measurements were made of colonic temperature, skin temperature, oxygen consumption, carbon dioxide production, respiratory quotient, and heart rate. Rats that received 27.7 cal/min for 30 min exhibited an initial transient increase in colonic and skin temperatures but no alterations in other functions. The group irradiated at 40.1 cal/min had greater elevations in colonic and skin temperatures immediately after exposure, followed by overcompensation and lower than normal colonic temperatures for about 3 h. The metabolic rate was depressed in this group for 3 h. Bradycardia developed within 20 min after exposure and persisted for about 3 h. The group of rats that received 68.2 cal/min for 30 min had responses similar to those of the 40.1 cal/min group, but the changes were more severe and lasted longer. In addition, a number of transient abnormalities were noted in the ECG tracings of rats that had received the highest dose, including irregular rhythms and incomplete heart block. The physiological changes observed in this study can be attributed to the heating induced by irradiation.  相似文献

The authors pointed to a possibility of using the method of cryoultramicrotomy in studying the ultrastructure of Gram negative B. pertussis bacteria under the following conditions: a) fixationwith a 5% glutaraldehyde on cacodylate buffer (pH 7.5) for 30 min; b) replacement with a 30% dimethylsulfoxide in distilled water with a subsequent embedding of the material into tissue-tek; c) freezing in fluid nitrogen for 5 min; d) cutting at a temperature of -- 90% degrees C and at the temperature of glass knife of -- 40 degrees C, the knife angle of alpha = 45 degrees, beta = 6 degrees, and the cutting velocity of 5 mm/sec; e) placing of sections on copper grates covered with a 0.1% moulding membrane; d) contrasting with a 2% phosphotungstic acid queous solution (pH 7.5) for 5 sec and with a 3% uranil acetate on water for 5 min. Use of the mentioned method pemitted to detect structures localized in B. pertussis cytoplasm and also to trace the dynamics of their formation.  相似文献

The intestinal peristaltic reflex induced by mucosal stimulation is mediated by mucosal release of serotonin (5-HT), which acts on 5-HT(4) receptors located on CGRP-containing afferent nerve terminals. Exposure of the colonic mucosa to the 5-HT(4) receptor agonist tegaserod in the range of 1 nM to 10 muM elicits a peristaltic reflex and stimulates colonic propulsion. The present study was designed to identify the 5-HT(4) receptor subtype mediating the reflex and determine whether functionally effective concentrations of tegaserod desensitize the reflex induced by mucosal stimulation. Exposure of rat colonic mucosa to tegaserod in the range of 5 nM to 5 muM for 5 or 10 min caused rapid time- and concentration-dependent desensitization of the peristaltic reflex induced by mucosal stroking, consistent with the operation of a rapidly desensitizing 5-HT(4b) receptor subtype. Desensitization was accompanied by a decrease in CGRP release. The rate of recovery of peristaltic response depended on the desensitizing concentration of tegaserod: ascending contraction and descending relaxation recovered within 15 min after 5-50 nM tegaserod, 30 min after 0.5 muM, and 60 min after 5 muM. Neither CGRP release nor the peristaltic reflex induced by muscle stretch was affected by 5-HT(4) receptor desensitization, providing further evidence that 5-HT does not mediate the reflex induced by muscle stretch. These results suggest in cases of increased 5-HT availability or prolonged exposure, such as colitis, that it is likely the peristaltic reflex will be blunted.  相似文献

We examined the hypothesis that exogenous stimulation with physiological doses of 3,5,3'-triiodothyronine (T(3)) and/or norepinephrine at birth can improve thermoregulation in near-term lambs delivered by cesarean section. This was achieved by investigating the effect of delivery temperature [i.e., warm (30( degrees )C) vs. cool (15( degrees )C) ambient temperatures] on hormonal stimulation on uncoupling protein-1 (UCP1) abundance in brown adipose tissue. In vivo measurements of temperature control (i. e., colonic temperature, oxygen consumption, and incidence of shivering) were made over the first 2.5 h after birth. Each lamb was injected with saline with or without T(3), norepinephrine, or T(3) plus norepinephrine. Irrespective of delivery temperature, abundance of UCP1 increased and incidence of shivering decreased by all hormonal treatments, but this only reduced the rate of decline in colonic temperature of cool-delivered lambs. Oxygen consumption was higher in cool-delivered lambs that were able to fully restore body temperature, an adaptation not observed in controls or any warm-delivered groups. Exogenous administration of endocrine stimulatory factors can enhance the abundance of UCP1 in cesarean-section-delivered lambs with the magnitude of thermoregulatory response being greater at cool than warm delivery temperatures.  相似文献

In chicken thymocytes isolated from 15--40 day-old chickens, after a 2 h incubation at 37 degrees C, insulin stimulated amino isobutyric acid uptake (maximal response: 40--50% of increase at 1 microgram insulin/ml and half maximal response at 60 ng/ml) by specifically stimulating the influx without altering the efflux. Insulin also stimulated glucose oxidation (maximal response: 11% of increase at 1 microgram insulin/ml). Binding of 125I-labelled chicken insulin to thymocytes was rapid and higher at 15 degrees C than at 37 degrees C. At steady state, (90 min at 15 degrees C), chicken, porcine and goose insulins were equipotent in inhibiting the binding of 125I-labelled chicken insulin. Maximal binding capacity was estimated at 1250 pg insulin/10(8) cells, i.e., 1250 binding sites/cell with an apparent dissociation constant of 200 ng insulin/ml at 15 degrees C. Degradation of 125I-labelled chicken insulin in the incubation medium was negligible at 15 degrees C but very noticeable at 37 degrees C. Therefore, the low level of insulin binding at 15 degrees C reflects a true scarcity of insulin receptors in chicken thymocytes as compared to rat thymocytes.  相似文献

5-Hydroxytryptamine (5-HT) turnover and dopamine (DA) turnover values were obtained in individual conscious rats by measuring the rates of accumulation of 5-hydroxyindoleacetic acid (5-HIAA), 3,4-dihydroxyphenylacetic acid (DOPAC), and homovanillic acid (HVA) in cisternal CSF samples taken from each rat at 0, 30, and 60 min after probenecid (200 mg/kg i.p.) administration. In a separate experiment, 5-HT and DA turnover values were determined in CSF, striatum, and rest of brain of groups of rats killed 0, 30, or 60 min after probenecid. Whole brain turnover values were calculated from striatal and rest of brain values. Mean turnover values using CSF were comparable with both procedures. DA turnover values were greater when based on total (i.e., free + conjugated) DA metabolites than when based on free metabolites. After partial inhibition of monoamine synthesis with the decarboxylase inhibitor DL-alpha- monofluoromethyl -DOPA ( MFMD , 100 mg/kg p.o.) DA and 5-HT turnover values were comparably reduced in whole brain, rest of brain, and CSF but more markedly reduced in the striatum. Mean DA and 5-HT turnover values obtained using CSF were similar with probenecid doses over the range 150-250 mg/kg i.p. but were variable when repeatedly determined in the same rats after administration of 200 mg/kg probenecid. Results in general show that the CSF procedure may be used to determine concurrently both 5-HT and DA turnover (when estimated from the sum of total but not free metabolites) and that it provides a good index of whole brain turnover of these transmitters in the conscious individual rat.  相似文献

Crassostrea madrasensis is an important fouling oyster in tropical industrial cooling water systems. C. madrasensis individuals attach to surfaces by cementing one of their two valves to the substratum. Therefore, oyster fouling creates more problems than mussel fouling in the cooling conduits of power stations, because unlike the latter, the shell of the former remains attached to the substratum even after the death of the animal. However, there are no published reports on the tolerance of this species to chlorination and heat treatment. The mortality pattern and physiological behaviour (oxygen consumption and filtration rate) of three size groups (13 mm, 44 mm and 64 mm mean shell length) of C. madrasensis were studied at different residual chlorine concentrations (0.25, 0.5, 0.75, 1, 2, 3 to 5 mg 1-1) and temperatures (30 degrees C to 45 degrees C). The effect of shell size (= age) on C. madrasensis mortality in the presence of chlorine and taking into account temperature was significant, with the largest size group oysters showing highest resistance. At 1 mg l-1 residual chlorine, the 13 mm and 64 mm size group oysters, took 504 h (21 d) and 744 h (31 d), respectively to reach 100% mortality. At 39 degrees C, the 13 mm size group oysters took 218 min to reach 100% mortality, whereas the 64 mm size group oysters took 325 min. The oxygen consumption and filtration rate of C. madrasensis showed progressive reduction with increasing residual chlorine concentrations. However, the filtration rate and oxygen consumption responses of C. madrasensis were not significantly different between 30 degrees C (control) and 37.5 degrees C. There was a sharp decrease in the filtration rate and oxygen consumption at 38.5 degrees C. A comparison of the present mortality data with previous reports on other bivalves suggests that the chlorine tolerance of C. madrasensis lies in between that of Perna viridis and Perna perna, while its temperature tolerance is significantly higher than that of the other two bivalve species. However, in power station heat exchangers, where simultaneous chlorine and thermal stresses are existent, C. madrasensis may have an edge over other common foulants, because of its high temperature tolerance.  相似文献

The purpose of this study was to evaluate the effect of exercise on the subsequent post-exercise thresholds for vasoconstriction and shivering measured during water immersion. On 2 separate days, seven subjects (six males and one female) were immersed in water (37.5 degrees C) that was subsequently cooled at a constant rate of approximately 6.5 degrees C x h(-1) until the thresholds for vasoconstriction and shivering were clearly established. Water temperature was then increased to 37.5 degrees C. Subjects remained immersed for approximately 20 min, after which they exited the water, were towel-dried and sat in room air (22 degrees C) until both esophageal temperature and mean skin temperature (Tsk) returned to near-baseline values. Subjects then either performed 15 min of cycle ergometry (at 65% maximal oxygen consumption) followed by 30 min of recovery (Exercise), or remained seated with no exercise for 45 min (Control). Subjects were then cooled again. The core temperature thresholds for both vasoconstriction and shivering increased significantly by 0.2 degrees C Post-Exercise (P < 0.05). Because the Tsk at the onset of vasoconstriction and shivering was different during Pre- and Post-Exercise Cooling, we compensated mathematically for changes in skin temperatures using the established linear cutaneous contribution of skin to the control of vasoconstriction and shivering (20%). The calculated core temperature threshold (at a designated skin temperature of 32.0 degrees C) for vasoconstriction increased significantly from 37.1 (0.3) degrees C to 37.5 ( 0.3) degrees C post-exercise (P < 0.05). Likewise, the shivering threshold increased from 36.2 (0.3) degrees C to 36.5 (0.3) degrees C post-exercise (P < 0.05). In contrast to the post-exercise increase in cold thermal response thresholds, sequential measurements demonstrated a time-dependent similarity in the Pre- and Post-Control thresholds for vasoconstriction and shivering. These data indicate that exercise has a prolonged effect on the post-exercise thresholds for both cold thermoregulatory responses.  相似文献

CspA, CspB, and CspG, the major cold shock proteins of Escherichia coli, are dramatically induced upon temperature downshift. In this report, we examined the effects of kanamycin and chloramphenicol, inhibitors of protein synthesis, on cold shock inducibility of these proteins. Cell growth was completely blocked at 37 degrees C in the presence of kanamycin (100 microgram/ml) or chloramphenicol (200 microgram/ml). After 10 min of incubation with the antibiotics at 37 degrees C, cells were cold shocked at 15 degrees C and labeled with [35S]methionine at 30 min after the cold shock. Surprisingly, the synthesis of all these cold shock proteins was induced at a significantly high level virtually in the absence of synthesis of any other protein, indicating that the cold shock proteins are able to bypass the inhibitory effect of the antibiotics. Possible bypass mechanisms are discussed. The levels of cspA and cspB mRNAs for the first hour at 15 degrees C were hardly affected in the absence of new protein synthesis caused either by antibiotics or by amino acid starvation.  相似文献

The effects of temperature acclimation, acute temperature variation and progressive hypoxia on oxygen consumption rates (VO2) were determined for the zebra mussel Dreissena polymorpha. In the first experiment, after acclimation to 5, 15 or 25 degrees C for at least 2 weeks, VO2 was determined at 5 degrees C increments from 5 to 45 degrees C. VO2 increased in all three acclimation groups from 5 to 30 degrees C, corresponding to the normal ambient temperature range for this species. Mussels displayed imperfect temperature compensation at temperatures above 15 degrees C, but exhibited little acclimatory ability below 15 degrees C. In the hypoxia experiment, VO2 was determined over the course of progressive hypoxia, from full saturation (oxygen tension [PO2]=160 Torr [21.3 kPa]) to a PO2 at which oxygen uptake ceased (<10 Torr [1.3 kPa]). Mussels were acclimated to either 5, 15 or 25 degrees C for at least 2 weeks and their respiratory response to progressive hypoxia was measured at three test temperatures (5, 15 and 25 degrees C). The degree of oxygen regulation increased with increasing test temperature, particularly from 5 to 15 degrees C, but decreased with increasing acclimation temperature. The decreased metabolic rate observed for warm-acclimated animals, particularly in the upper portion of the temperature range of the zebra mussel, may allow for conservation of organic energy stores during warm summer months. Compared to other freshwater bivalves, D. polymorpha is a relatively poor oxygen regulator, corresponding with its preference for well-oxygenated aquatic habitats. In addition, a new quantitative method for determining the degree of oxygen regulation is presented.  相似文献

Hypothalamic 5-hydroxytryptamine (5-HT) and noradrenaline (NA) as well as plasma corticosterone levels were studied in male rats after 1, 2, 4 and 6 weeks of exposure to 4--7 or 30--31 degrees C. An increase of the NA concentration and a decrease of the 5-HT level was observed after the first week in both cold and warm environment together with an increase of plasma corticosterone levels in both groups. NA, 5-HT and plasma corticosterone levels returned to normal in cold-exposed animals by the 6th week whereas in warm-acclimated rats NA and corticosterone levels regained their initial values and 5-HT concentrations remained low. Changes by the end of the first week of exposure may result from the thermal stress. The low 5-HT levels of warm-adapted animals at the end of the 6th week were probably secondary to the process of adaptation.  相似文献

Infection of the temperature-sensitive E. coli CRT 266 (dnaBts) with T3-phages at the temperature of 30 degrees C and 35 degrees C, respectively, induced T3-specific RNA synthesis with a maximum rate at 7 min (30 degrees C) and 4.5 min (35 degrees C) after infection. At temperatures above 40 degrees C no T3-induced RNA synthesis could be observed. Infection of E. coli CR 34--45 (dnaB+) with T3 phages at 30 degrees C, 35 degrees C and at temperatures above 40 degrees C, however, produced T3-specific RNA synthesis. The maximum of T3-induced RNA synthesis could be observed between 7 min and 3 min depending on the temperature during infection. The inability to form T3-specific RNA after infection of E. coli CRT 266 at nonpermissive temperatures may be a cause for the absence of the formation of T3 phages and lysis of the host cells.  相似文献
