Effects of acute intraperitoneal administration of tetrazepam on blood glucose level and serum lipids in hyperlipidemic albino rats.

In rats rendered hyperlipidemic by the i.p. injection of Triton WR-1339, the i.p. administration of tetrazepam, a benzodiazepine (BZD) used mainly as a central myorelaxant, evoked significant reductions of serum lipids and blood glucose level. The dose-response curve was bell-shaped for serum lipids changes, whereas no clear dose-response relationship for blood glucose level modifications could be established. Tetrazepam was less active on serum lipids than other BZDs as diazepam or midazolam.     

4种抗真菌药物对糖尿病大鼠血糖的影响

目的观察酮康唑、氟康唑、伊曲康唑和特比萘芬与胰岛素组合使用以及单独使用时对糖尿病大鼠血糖水平的影响。方法建立糖尿病大鼠模型,随机分为10组,每组5只。前4组皮下注射胰岛素的同时分别喂食4种抗真菌药物;第5组单独皮下注射胰岛素;第6—9组分别喂食4种抗真菌药物;第10组既不注射胰岛素也不喂食抗真菌药物。定时对糖尿病大鼠尾静脉采血,使用CX5PRO生化检测仪对其血糖进行检测。结果酮康唑、氟康唑和伊曲康唑分别与胰岛素合用时,可使糖尿病大鼠血糖降低（P〈0．05）;不与胰岛素合用时,氟康唑和伊曲康唑均可使糖尿病大鼠血糖升高（P〈0．05）;特比萘芬无论是否与胰岛素合用,对糖尿病大鼠的血糖水平均无影响（P〉0．05）。结论唑类抗真菌药物无论是否与胰岛素合用均会影响糖尿病大鼠的血糖水平,特比萘芬无论是否与胰岛素合用,都不会影响糖尿病大鼠的血糖水平。     

Influence of the acute intraperitoneal administration of tetrazepam on blood glucose level and serum lipids in normoglycemic and normolipidemic rats.

The acute i.p. administration of tetrazepam (5, 7.5, 15 mg/kg) in normoglycemic and normolipidemic rats induced an increase in blood glucose level, a delay of fibrinolysis (when administered at the first two doses) and variable changes of serum lipids. These results are different from those obtained in hyperlipidemic rats treated with tetrazepam.     

Effects of an acute administration of nickel upon blood glucose compartmentation in pregnant rats

The effects of a nickel injection i.p. to male, female virgin and 12- and 19-day pregnant rats upon plasma glucose concentration as well as blood cell free glucose content have been determined. The hyperglycaemic response to nickel of female rats was more marked than that of males, with an increase in intracellular glucose, more marked during pregnancy, which even surpassed the plasma concentration of glucose. Twelve-day pregnant rats maintained huge intracellular glucose concentrations even after the beginning of the decline in plasma levels, whereas this was not observed in 19-day pregnant rats. The possible r?le of the conceptuses in the removal of excess circulating glucose at this age is discussed.     

南瓜多糖对糖尿病大鼠血糖和血脂的影响

目的：研究南瓜多糖对糖尿病大鼠血糖和血脂的影响。方法：Wistar大鼠腹腔注射四氧嘧啶后。将成模的糖尿病大鼠根据血糖和体重随机分为糖尿病组、消渴丸组和南瓜多糖组,同时设立正常对照组,并分别给予蒸馏水、消渴丸和南瓜多糖灌胃,每周测量体重一次,四周后测定空腹血糖、血清总胆固醇、甘油三酯、高密度脂蛋白、低密度脂蛋白和游离脂肪酸的含量。结果：糖尿病组大鼠体重下降,血糖显著升高,甘油三酯、总胆固醇、低密度脂蛋白和游离脂肪酸含量显著增加,而高密度脂蛋白含量显著降低;补充南瓜多糖和消渴丸后,体重逐渐增加,血糖显著下降,总胆固醇、甘油三酯、低密度脂蛋白和游离脂肪酸含量显著降低,高密度脂蛋白含量显著升高,并且南瓜多糖的降糖降脂效果优于消渴丸。结论：南瓜多糖能增加体重,降低糖尿病大鼠血糖、血脂,对糖尿病及其并发症有一定的作用。     

A thymic factor increasing the blood sugar level.

The thymus extract prepared by using isotonic NaC1 solution causes hyperglycaemy and the thymectomy, too, produces the same effect. Consequently, the active substance of the thymus is produced elsewhere in the organism and being stored within the thymus, gets into the extract by homogenizing its cells. Both the thymectomy and the thymic factor increase the effect of alloxan and this sensitizing effect can be prevented by pretreatment with prednisolone.     

Effects of acetoacetate administration on glucose metabolism in mammary gland of fed lactating rats.

Administration of acetoactate to fed lactating rats rapidly decreases glucose uptake by the mammary gland, and causes an output of pyruvate, whereas lactate uptake remains unchanged. Similar changes, though not identical, occur in starved lactating rats, which suggests that the increased acetoacetate concentration in this situation may be one of the factors responsible for the alterations in glucose metabolism.     

Novel oligomannose-type sugar chains derived from glucose oxidase of Aspergillus niger.

The primary structure of the N-linked sugar chains of glucose oxidase from Aspergillus niger was investigated. These sugar chains were released from the polypeptide backbone by hydrazinolysis, and the reducing ends of the sugar chains were pyridylaminated. HPLC of the pyridylamino sugar chains with an amide-silica column showed at least seven sugar chain peaks. Chemical and exoglycosidase digestion and 400 lMHz H-NMR studies of the sugar chains of lower molecular weight showed that these were novel oligomannose-type sugar chains, (Man)5-7 (GlcNAc)2, with the structure: +/- Man alpha 1----3Man alpha 1----3(Man alpha 1----6)Man alpha 1----6(+/- Man alpha 1----3Man alpha 1---3)Man )Man beta 1----4GlcNAc beta 1----4GlcNAc.     

Acute effects of zopiclone on blood glucose level and serum lipids in hyperlipidemic rats

In rats rendered hyperlipidemic by ip administration of Triton WR-1339, the ip administration of zopiclone at doses of 1.25, 2.5, 5.0, 7.5, 10.0 and 15.0 mg/kg, a cyclopyrrolone acting upon the central benzodiazepine receptors, induces very significant reductions of total lipids, total cholesterol, and triglycerides, at nearly all of the doses. The most active dose was 5.0 mg/kg. The blood glucose level was diminished by doses of 1.25, 2.5, 7.5 and 15.0 mg/kg and it was not changed by the rest of the other doses.
