In a recent publication, C. Guernet picks up again the accusations of fraud against J. Deprat, who, in the early 20th century, had suffered such attacks to the point to be removed from the Geological Society of France. At the end of the same century, one among us (M D.D.) reexamined this affair, and drew the conclusion that J. Deprat was innocent, after which the Geological Society of France reinstated him posthumously. The new accusations issued by Guernet are about Deprat's work in Euboea, as well as Corsica and Sardinia. Our own work rather disagrees and shows that, here again, Deprat is innocent. At this occasion, we present or remind new elements about those regions’ geology.  相似文献

In Evia (Greece), limestones attributed to the lower Cretaceous by J. Deprat are in fact of Triassic to Upper Jurassic age. These erroneous attributions are based on the allegedly presence of Barremian and Albian fossils and on the supposed progressive passage of these limestones to the Cenomanian ones. Generally, except for the upper Cretaceous rich in Rudists and known since older works, a big part of the stratigraphical attributions of J. Deprat in Median Evia are erroneous.  相似文献

本文报道了新疆昆仑山黄羊岭—木孜塔格地区下二叠统黄羊岭群的分布、层序划分及对比;首次对黄羊岭群所含?类进行了研究和描述。共描述早三叠世?类15属26种,其中4个新种,1个新亚种,2个未定种。 黄羊岭群下亚群和华南的栖霞组大致可以对比,黄羊岭群上亚群和华南茅口组大致可以对比。黄羊岭群的早二叠世?类,属典型的特提斯海暖水?类,生物地理分区上属特提斯大区的华夏-特提斯区。  相似文献

作者报道了一个小型■类动物群,包括Eostaffella? sp., Pseudoendothyra sp., Staffella pseudosphae-roidea Dutkevich, Neostaffella ( N.)sp ., Profusulinella bona Grozdilova et Lebedeva以及P.cf .prisca (Depart) ,此动物群是在老挝北部琅勃拉邦省西南部的Thong Phiang Vilay村附近的石灰岩山中发现的。根据Profusulinella bona和P.cf. prisca的出现,该动物群的时代可归到晚石炭世宾夕法尼亚纪巴什基尔期或莫斯科期最早期。这是在老挝北部对该时代■类动物群的首次报道。当前■类动物群证明琅勃拉邦地区和泰国北部的黎地区在地质上有重要的关系,表明老挝北部地区从地质构造上属于印度支那板块的边缘。  相似文献

A alien plant species , Sysimbrium orientale L . (Brassicaceae ) is recorded in Yunnan , China in the paper . The species has been found invading the ecosystems of croplands and grasslands in Australia . Although it was previously recorded in China, there′s no alert report about it .Because the very small and mass-produced seed in siliques was dispersed by wind , the species can be potentially invasive . The result of our investigation indicated that there was a spreading trend of S. orientale in suburbs of Kunming, Central Yunnan . The biological characteristics and current status in Kunming were reported. We appealed to relevant government departments to make efforts to make a further investigation of its distribution and its invasion route . Assessment of its invasiveness in China is needed to eradicate it as early as possible to avoid its diffusion .  相似文献

Because the basic unit of biology is the cell, biological knowledge is rooted in the epistemology of the cell, and because life is the salient characteristic of the cell, its epistemology must be centered on its livingness, not its constituent components. The organization and regulation of these components in the pursuit of life constitute the fundamental nature of the cell. Thus, regulation sits at the heart of biological knowledge of the cell and the extraordinary complexity of this regulation conditions the kind of knowledge that can be obtained, in particular, the representation and intelligibility of that knowledge. This paper is essentially split into two parts. The first part discusses the inadequacy of everyday intelligibility and intuition in science and the consequent need for scientific theories to be expressed mathematically without appeal to commonsense categories of understanding, such as causality. Having set the backdrop, the second part addresses biological knowledge. It briefly reviews modern scientific epistemology from a general perspective and then turns to the epistemology of the cell. In analogy with a multi-faceted factory, the cell utilizes a highly parallel distributed control system to maintain its organization and regulate its dynamical operation in the face of both internal and external changes. Hence, scientific knowledge is constituted by the mathematics of stochastic dynamical systems, which model the overall relational structure of the cell and how these structures evolve over time, stochasticity being a consequence of the need to ignore a large number of factors while modeling relatively few in an extremely complex environment.  相似文献
