Two new species of Protopanorpa Carpenter (Mecoptera: Permochoristidae), P. longicubitalis sp. nov. and P. similis sp. nov. from the Ufimian Solikamsk Horizon of the Perm Region (Tyulkino locality) are described. Scorpionflies of Tyulkino are compared with scorpionflies of the Kungurian Chekarda locality (Perm Region) and the Early Kazanian Soyana locality (Arkhangelsk Region).  相似文献

In this study, we investigated mating frequencies of female scorpionflies Panorpa germanica in the field using two different experimental approaches. First, the mating status of wild‐caught females was estimated on the basis of sperm numbers present inside their sperm storage organs. Secondly, the number of mating partners wild‐caught females must have had was inferred from mother‐offspring analyses of a polymorphic microsatellite locus. Our results suggest a very low mating frequency of wild female P. germanica. Consequently, the risk of sperm competition is rather low in this species. The relevance of female mate choice in relation to the low mating frequency is discussed.  相似文献

Nine species of Panorpa Linn. and one of Neopanorpa Weele were recorded from Huoditang Forest Farm in Qinling Mountains. Among them, Neopanorpa longiprocessa Hua et Chou was reported from Shaanxi for the first time; Panorpa decolorata Chou et Wang and Panorpa reni Chou were redescribed on basis of male, and Panorpa chengi Chou was redescribed on basis of female. A key to the species was provided. The habitats and biology of all the species are outlined.  相似文献

Bittacidae and Panorpidae are the two largest families in Mecoptera. The larvae of Bittacidae are different from those of Panorpidae in external morphology and habits, and have an interesting habit of spraying the body surface with soil through the anus. However, it remains unknown to date whether the larval midguts are different in structure between the two families. Here the ultrastructure of the larval midguts of the hangingfly Bittacus planus Cheng and the scorpionfly Neopanorpa longiprocessa Hua & Chou were compared using light, scanning, and transmission electron microscopy. The midguts of both species are simple tubes of single layered epithelia with digestive and regenerative cells but without diverticula. The basal plasma membrane of epithelial cells exhibits infolding in B. planus, but is closely apposed to its basal lamina in N. longiprocessa. Lymph spaces are present between adjacent epithelial cells in B. planus, but are absent in N. longiprocessa. The regenerative cells are scattered among the digestive cells in B. planus, but are aggregated in N. longiprocessa. The longitudinal muscle bands are compact in B. planus, but are sparse in N. longiprocessa. The compact longitudinal muscle bands are likely associated with their soil-spraying habit in Bittacidae.  相似文献

有瓣蝇类(Calyptratae)隶属于昆虫纲(Insecta)四大超适应辐射类群之一的双翅目(Diptera),占双翅目已知物种多样性的近20%。有瓣蝇类分布广泛,生物学习性极为多样,在维系生态系统稳定中发挥着重要作用,是媒介、法医、传粉和天敌昆虫学研究领域的热点类群,也是探究双翅目系统演化及其成功适应辐射的关键类群。为了还原有瓣蝇类的演化历史,许多著名昆虫学者先后对该类昆虫开展过不同层面的研究。有瓣蝇类的单系性得到了普遍支持,并被分为3个总科——虱蝇总科(Hippoboscoidea)、蝇总科(Muscoidea)和狂蝇总科(Oestroidea),其中单系的狂蝇总科与多系的蝇总科聚为一支,再与虱蝇总科成为姐妹群。在科级阶元水平,蝠蝇科(Streblidae)(虱蝇总科)、花蝇科(Anthomyiidae)(蝇总科)、丽蝇科(Calliphoridae)(狂蝇总科)、邻寄蝇科(Rhinophoridae)(狂蝇总科)等类群的单系性仍有待验证,且新的科仍在不断被建立[如粉蝇科(Polleniidae)、乌鲁鲁蝇科(Ulurumyiidae)],因此,有瓣蝇类科级系统发育关系仍不十分明晰。已有研究对虱蝇总科虱蝇科(Hippoboscidae)、蝠蝇科、蛛蝇科(Nycteribiidae),蝇总科蝇科(Muscidae)、粪蝇科(Scathophagidae),狂蝇总科麻蝇科(Sarcophagidae)、狂蝇科(Oestridae)胃蝇亚科(Gasterophilinae)的演化历史进行研究,明确了起源与扩散、寄主转移、取食策略等关键生物学习性的演化历史。但由于部分关键类群生活史信息的缺失,以及尚未有效解决的系统发育关系,有瓣蝇类演化历史仍有许多待解之谜。本文综述了有瓣蝇类分类、系统发育及演化研究进展,是在系统学研究进入系统发育基因组学时代后对该类群相关研究进展的首次全面总结。  相似文献

本文对化石直脉蝎蛉科(Orthophlebiidae)的分属做了再分类,仍保留该科内的 2个属:直脉蝎蛉属 Orthophlebia和原直脉蝎蛉属Protorthophlebia,解体中蝎蛉属Mesopanorpa。中蝎蛉属被解体后,其包含所有的种,如Rs1主干带3支或3支以上支脉,归入直脉蝎蛉属;如Rs1仅带2支支脉,归入原直脉蝎蛉属;原中蝎蛉属以Rs主干两倍长于MA主干作为属的分类根据,但这一属征常常导致分类上的混乱,故本文不作为属或亚属的分类根据。上述保留的2个属,再以Rs分支先于、后于或等于MA的特征,即Rs主干短于、长于或等于MA主干作为亚属的分类根据。以此,在直脉蝎蛉属Orthophlebia和原直脉蝎蛉属Protorthophlebia之下各自设立3个亚属(Hong et Zhang, 2004)。在已建立的6个亚属中,Orthophlebia(Brachyphlebia)Hong et Zhang, 2004和Protorthophlebia(Mecynophlebia)Hong et Zhang,2004分别修改为Orthophlebia(Orthophlebia)Westwood, 1845和Protorthophlebia(Protorthophlebia)Tillyard,1933的新异名。中生代直脉蝎蛉中脉的前支(MA)并非在古生代之后就完全消失。根据对中生代不同时期、不同层位、不同地区直脉蝎蛉和本目其他科在内化石标本的观察,中脉及其前、后支脉(MA、MP)仍然继续存在与发展。基于这种事实,本文认为直脉蝎蛉科脉序命名中沿用已久的Rs后支(Rs3 4)应为中脉的前支(MA),原来沿用的中脉(M)为中脉的后支(MP)。这样,有助于我们对长翅目中脉及其前、后(MA、MP)支脉的准确辨认,尤其是对MA脉在地史上变革、发展,以及与Rs脉的演化关系的认识可能有所裨益。  相似文献

Climate changes can have fundamental impacts on the distributional patterns of montane species, and range shifts frequently lead to allopatric divergence followed by the establishment of secondary contact zones. Many European and North American organisms have retreated to southern refugia during glacial periods and colonized northward during postglacial periods, but little is known about the evolutionary response of cold‐adapted insects to Pleistocene climate changes in eastern Asia. The scorpionfly Dicerapanorpa magna (Chou), with cold temperate habitat preference and weak dispersal ability, provides a good model system to explore how climate changes have influenced the distribution and divergence of cold‐adapted insects in eastern Asia. This study reconstructed the demographic dynamics and evolutionary history of D. magna with phylogeographic approaches, and predicted the species’ suitable areas under the Last Glacial Maximum (LGM) and current scenarios with the ecological niche modelling analysis. The mitochondrial cytochrome c oxidase subunit I resolved three phylogenetic lineages in D. magna dating back to Pleistocene, corresponding well with the geographically isolated Qinling, Bashan and Minshan Mountains. The ecological niche modelling recovered the suitable habitats for D. magna were the Qinling and Bashan Mountains under LGM and current conditions. The three lineages of D. magna might be in a process of incipient speciation, and likely derived their current distribution from separate glacial origins, followed by vicariance and divergence.  相似文献

The salivary glands of Panorpidae usually exhibit distinct sexual dimorphism and are closely related to the nuptial feeding behavior. In this study, the salivary glands of Neopanorpa longiprocessa were investigated using light microscopy and transmission electron microscopy. The salivary glands are tubular labial glands and consist of a scoop-shaped salivary pump, a common salivary duct, and a pair of salivary tubes. The male and female salivary glands are remarkably different in the bifurcation position of the common salivary duct and the length and shape of the secretory tubes. Compared with the simple female salivary glands, the male’s are more developed as their paired elongated salivary tubes can be divided into two parts, the glabrate anterior tube and the posterior tube with many secretory tubules. The ultrastructural study shows that the male salivary tubes have strong secretory function. The existence of different secretion granules indicates that there are some chemical reactions or mixing occurring in the lumen. Based on the ultrastructural characteristics, the functions of the different regions of the salivary tube have been speculated. The relationship between the salivary glands and nuptial feeding behavior of N. longiprocessa has been briefly discussed based on the structure of the salivary glands.

卵巢管结构及卵子发生过程在探讨昆虫系统发育关系中有重要意义, 深入研究长翅目昆虫卵巢管结构及卵子发生可为确定其在全变态类昆虫中的系统发育地位提供依据。本文利用光学显微镜和扫描、透射电子显微镜技术研究了刘氏蝎蛉Panorpa liui Hua卵巢管超微结构及卵子发生过程。结果表明:蝎蛉卵巢由12根多滋式卵巢小管组成, 每个卵巢小管分为端丝、生殖区和生长区。根据滋养细胞、卵母细胞及滤泡细胞的变化, 卵子发生过程可分为5个阶段:卵黄发生前早期、卵黄发生前中期、卵黄发生前后期、卵黄发生期及卵壳形成期。在卵黄发生期, 滋养细胞为卵母细胞提供养分后逐渐消亡, 而此时的卵母细胞可通过滤泡之间的细胞间隙从血淋巴中获取营养。在卵壳形成期间, 3种不同类型的滤泡细胞参与形成不同区域的卵壳, 从而形成不同花饰的卵壳表面。据此推测, 与其他目的滋养细胞数目相比, 每个卵室中2次有丝分裂形成3个滋养细胞可能是比较原始的特征, 表明长翅目昆虫可能是全变态类群中近基部的分支。  相似文献

Life history studies of scorpionfly species have been used to test predictions of evolutionary theory, but comparative analysis has been hampered by a lacking phylogeny of scorpionflies. We present a molecular phylogeny of selected panorpid scorpionflies inferred from mitochondrial 12S, 16S rRNA, and COI gene fragments, using parsimony and maximum-likelihood methods. Maximum-likelihood reconstructions depend on an explicit evolutionary substitution model; therefore, we estimated fit of substitution models to our data and used an optimal evolutionary substitution model in subsequent reconstructions. Both reconstruction methods converge on compatible trees with considerable statistical support for a majority of nodes. We performed parametric tests of most important phylogenetic conclusions employing the fitted GTR + %I + Gamma substitution model. Parametric bootstrapping allowed rejection of alternative explanations of the data set, where classical tests, like the KHY test, failed. Parametric bootstrapping confirmed that the association of Neopanorpa sp. with Asian Panorpa species is currently the superior explanation of the data set. Therefore, it is concluded that the genus Panorpa is most likely paraphyletic to the representative of the genus Neopanorpa. We conclude that the sequenced mitochondrial gene fragments appear to be well suited for future more comprehensive phylogenetic investigations of panorpid scorpionflies.  相似文献

利用光学显微镜和扫描电子显微镜, 在形态学和组织学水平上研究了太白蝎蛉Panorpa obtusa Cheng成虫消化道的结构。结果表明: 蝎蛉消化道由前肠、中肠、和后肠组成。前肠包括咽喉、食道、和前胃, 但没有嗉囊,其中咽喉可分为骨化的前咽和附着扩肌的后咽(咽喉唧筒); 前胃壁很厚,内膜上长有许多排列整齐、紧密的棕色胃刺,司过滤、暂时储存和磨碎食物的功能; 前肠末端有6个贲门瓣伸入中肠。中肠较长且膨大,其肠壁细胞由柱状细胞和再生细胞组成; 肠壁细胞外分别为环肌和纵肌,无胃盲囊,也未观察到围食膜。6根棕红色的马氏管位于中、 后肠分界处。后肠分为不对称的“V”字型回肠、环状结肠、以及膨大透明的直肠, 直肠内壁上有6个交替排列的直肠垫。最后简要讨论了蝎蛉消化道的结构与功能,及其在蝎蛉科昆虫分类中的意义。  相似文献

Preliminary histological analysis showed that the ovaries in Nannochorista neotropica are composed of numerous ovarioles of panoistic type. In the ovaries of adult females each ovariole consists of a terminal filament, vitellarium and pedicle while a germarium is absent. Morphological observations supported by simple histochemical tests revealed the presence of multiple nucleoli in the oocyte nucleus. The appearance of multiple nucleoli suggests that the extrachromosomal amplification of ribosomal DNA may take place in the oocytes of Nannochorista. The results show that in the structure of the ovariole and the course of oogenesis nannochoristids share noteworthy derived features with boreids, but differ significantly from all other mecopterans. These findings indicate the possible monophyly of an assemblage comprising the Nannomecoptera, Neomecoptera and Siphonaptera.  相似文献
