贮藏条件对川硬皮肿腿蜂存活率的影响   总被引:2,自引:0,他引:2

在相对湿度为50%~70%的条件下,设置5个温度梯度,将川硬皮肿腿蜂SclerodermasichuanensisXiao雌成蜂分别进行直接贮藏和定期补充15%蜂蜜水后贮藏,并对该蜂在不同条件下的贮藏存活率进行了比较。结果表明,贮藏温度和补充营养对川硬皮肿腿蜂雌成蜂的存活率有显著影响,其中6~15℃下贮藏相同时间的蜂存活率较高,比较适合该蜂的贮藏,而在12℃贮藏相同时间的供试蜂存活率最高,最适该蜂的贮藏。除此之外,在贮藏期间适时添加补充营养也能大大延长川硬皮肿腿蜂雌成蜂的贮藏寿命,但补充营养对该蜂存活率的影响大小与贮藏温度有关。  相似文献

A comparative analysis of the parameters of heart rate variability (HRV) in students from different ethnic groups of the Transbaikal region showed a more rigid cardiac rhythm and high level of the VLF component of the spectrum (in percent) in the native population compared to Russians living in the same region. However, Russian students living permanently in the Transbaikal region and central regions of Russia did not differ significantly from each other in the quantitative parameters of HRV.  相似文献

The limitations of heart rate as a predictor of metabolic rate in fish   总被引:4,自引:0,他引:4  
Although telemetered heart rate (fH) has been used as a physiological correlate to predict the metabolic rate (as oxygen consumption, V?O2) of fish in the field, it is our contention that the method has not been validated adequately for fish. If fH in fish is to be used to estimate V?O2, a single linear (or log-linear) relationship must be established for each species between the two variables which allows V?O2 to be predicted accurately under all environmentally relevant conditions. Our analyses of existing data indicate that while a good linear (or log-linear) relationship can be established between fH and V?O2, the conditions under which the relationship applies may be quite restricted. Physiological states and environmental factors affect the relationship between fH and V?O2 significantly such that several curves can exist for a single species. In addition, there are situations in which fH and V?O2 do not covary in a significant manner. In some situations fH can vary over much of its physiological range while V?O2 remains constant; in others V?O2 may vary while fH is invariate. The theoretical basis for this variability is examined to explain why the use of telemetered fH in predicting V?O2 of fish may be limited to certain specified applications.  相似文献

The study of bryophytes forms an obvious part of school, college, and university courses which deal with cytology and developmental behaviour. They are readily obtained, conveniently cultured, and require fewer specialized skills than are necessary for similar work on other organisms. Information on preparing mitotic chromosomes for examination is provided, as are details of a technique by which Giemsa C-banding of chromosomes becomes for the first time a realistic proposition at all levels of education. Practical firsthand experience of the latter technique provides a useful way of coordinating the teaching of microscopic and molecular aspects of cell biology. Cytological behaviour can also be related to experiments on developmental aspects of the life cycle, a cycle which is noted for its well-marked alternation of generations. These include suggestions for monitoring the seasonal maturation of gametangia and sporophytes, as well as for examining photolropic responses made in liverworts by diploid setae and haploid archegoniophores.  相似文献

The specific features of the changes in the low-frequency (LF) and high-frequency (HF) bands of the heart rate variability (HRV) spectrum were studied in coronary heart disease (CHD) patients with different numbers of coronary arteries affected by hemodynamically significant stenosis in the course of a bicycle exercise test. Male patients (143) with CHD aged 49 ± 8 years participated in the study. Subgroups with hemodynamically siginificant stenosis in one, two, or three coronary arteries; with no stenosis; and with a varying degree of total coronary bed lesion were distinguished. Tachograms were recorded in the course of bicycle exercise tests with loads of 25 and 50 W with spontaneous respiration for 3 min at each stage of a test. The frequency estimates of HRV in the LF and HF bands of the spectrum were obtained using the parametric method for constructing the spectrum based on the autoregressive model. It was shown that hemodynamically significant coronary stenoses significantly influenced the state of the mechanisms of autonomic regulation of the heart, which, in CHD patients with a three-vessel coronary lesion, is characterized by an extremely low adaptability.  相似文献

The aim of this study was to compare the effects of psychological relaxation on the heart rate variability (HRV) in subjects with a number of negative functional states: asthenia, depression, and neurotic symptoms. The analysis performed allowed us to reveal the dynamics of theHRV variables characteristic of each negative functional state and to determine indicators, which are significant for their diagnosis. The effectiveness of usingHRV analysis for the control and management of the psychological relaxation process and the diagnosis of a number of negative functional states in humans is substantiated by the study results.  相似文献

Autonomic regulation of the heart rate (HR) was studied in young healthy volunteers under conditions of experimental acute normobaric hypoxia. Spectral analysis of the HR variability (HRV) was performed with differential sphygmography. The total spectral power (TP) of the HRV and its low and high frequency components (LF and HF, respectively) were assessed, and the sympathovagal balance (LFn/HFn) was calculated. Acute hypoxia increased the sympathetic and decreased the parasympathetic effects on the heart and was accompanied in the majority of subjects by a significant increase in HR and a decrease in HRV. Background  A high incidence of heart disease, especially idiopathic cardiomyopathy (IC), is seen in chimpanzees ( Pan troglodytes ).
Methods  We reviewed clinical records and necropsy reports of 87 adult chimpanzees for possible causes of heart disease/IC. We examined age, sex, cause of death, weight, diet, environment, infectious diseases, experimental uses and clinical pathology.
Results  The overall prevalence of heart disease in chimpanzees was 67.81%; the prevalence of IC was 51.72%. The prevalence of IC was significantly higher in males (60.32%) than that in females (29.17%, P  = 0.009). The prevalence of other heart disease was higher in females (25%) than that in males (12.70%, P  = 0.165). Heart failure occurred in 47.13% of chimpanzees. Heart disease was the primary cause of death in 34.49% of chimpanzees; 29.88% died of unknown causes.
Conclusions  We found no evidence that diet, environment, viral agents, experimental use or disease exposure contributed to the deaths resulting from IC in chimpanzees.  相似文献

Chimpanzees used for biomedical research must be bred in captivity because of restrictions on importation. Because they are large and expensive animals, population sizes at breeding facilities are limited. This implies that inbreeding at some level is inevitable and that genetic management techniques should be employed to minimize matings between related individuals. The purpose of this paper is to consider the genetic history of the chimpanzee colony at the Southwest Foundation for Biomedical Research (SFBR) and to suggest ways in which genetic variability may be affected by management schemes. A total of 339 chimpanzees resided at SFBR between January, 1980, and January, 1990. Although only one mating between related individuals has occurred so far, the average level of kinship in the colony and between potential breeders is increasing. Population structure techniques were employed to assess the mating patterns which have occurred and to explore the degree of change in the characteristics of potential mates. A “gene dropping” simulation method was used to predict expected levels of heterozygosity and strategies for maintaining variability by increasing the breeding portion of the population were evaluated using a simulation approach. © 1995 Wiley-Liss, Inc.  相似文献

Recent studies have suggested a genetic component to heart rate (HR) and HR variability (HRV). However, a systematic examination of the genetic contribution to the variation in HR and HRV has not been performed. This study investigated the genetic contribution to HR and HRV using a wide range of inbred and recombinant inbred (RI) mouse strains. Electrocardiogram data were recorded from 30 strains of inbred mice and 29 RI strains. Significant differences in mean HR and total power (TP) HRV were identified between inbred strains and RI strains. Multiple significant differences within the strain sets in mean low-frequency (LF) and high-frequency (HF) power were also found. No statistically significant concordance was found between strain distribution patterns for HR and HRV phenotypes. Genomewide interval mapping identified a significant quantitative trait locus (QTL) for HR [LOD (likelihood of the odds) score = 3.763] on chromosome 6 [peak at 53.69 megabases (Mb); designated HR 1 (Hr1)]. Suggestive QTLs for TP were found on chromosomes 2, 4, 5, 6, and 14. A suggestive QTL for LF was found on chromosome 16; for HF, we found one significant QTL on chromosome 5 (LOD score = 3.107) [peak at 53.56 Mb; designated HRV-high-frequency 1 (Hrvhf1)] and three suggestive QTLs on chromosomes 2, 11 and 15. In conclusion, the results demonstrate a strong genetic component in the regulation of resting HR and HRV evidenced by the significant differences between strains. A lack of correlation between HR and HRV phenotypes in some inbred strains suggests that different sets of genes control the phenotypes. Furthermore, QTLs were found that will provide important insight to the genetic regulation of HR and HRV at rest.  相似文献
