A study from June 1990 to October 1992 revealed thatthe pelagic zooplankton community of Lake Mikri Prespaconsists of 45 invertebrate species (28 Rotifera, 11Cladocera, 6 Copepoda and 1 mollusc). It includes A. steindachneri, an endemic calanoid of the WesternBalkans. Half of the species are first records for thelake.The total abundance and biomass ranged from 61 to 905 indl–1 and 58 to 646 µg l–1,respectively. Seasonal fluctuations agreed with thePEG-model. Copepods prevailed throughout the year. Thespecies composition and seasonal variability wereaffected by temperature-dependent food conditions,competition and predation. These factors induced aseasonal succession which involved a replacement oflarger species or individuals by smaller ones duringsummer. The cladoceran population, as a whole, wascharacterised by small size classes of the speciespresent, probably due to fish predation. Anexamination of the horizontal distribution showedthat, although seasonal variability was the same atall stations sampled, the central station showedhigher abundance. Inshore-offshore diel migrations ofjuvenile fish is considered to account for this unevendistribution. Shannons diversity index ranged from0.98 to 2.95 and evenness from 0.3 to 0.9. The species composition and seasonal periodicity of the phytoplankton in Lake Vechten (The Netherlands) have been studied over a 20 year period. The results show a more or less regular pattern of algal succession during the year. Phytoplankton growth starts early in the year leading to a maximum in early spring, dominated by Bacillariophyceae and some Chlorophyceae. In summer a second maximum develops mainly consisting of a chrysophycean and a dinophycean species, accompanied by several Chlorophyceae. In September the summer species are gradually succeeded by diatoms. By the end of the summer stratification in October algal numbers decrease rapidly. The winter community consists of several species of Cryptophyceae and Chrysophyceae.When the data of 1975–1979 are compared with those from earlier records, distinct changes can be observed. These changes are discussed with reference to the trophic status of the lake. The vertical distribution of some species is described.  相似文献

The species composition and phytoplankton biomass of Lake Awassa, Ethiopia were studied from September 1985 to July 1986 in relation to some limnological features of the lake. During the study period, three phases of thermal stratification were recognized: a period of unstable stratification and near-complete mixing was followed by a stable stratification period and another period of complete mixing. Complete mixing was associated with cooling of air temperature with an influx of cool rain and high rainfall. The underwater light penetration showed a similar pattern over the whole period with the highest in the red, and the lowest in the blue spectral region. Euphotic depth varied between 1.6 and 3.0 meters with the highest measurements corresponding to the stable stratification period. PO4-P concentrations ranged between 23 and 45 µg l–1 and NO3-N concentrations varied between 7 and 14 µg l–1 during the study period. Both nutrients showed increasing values associated with mixing periods and/or the rainy season.A total of 100 phytoplankton species were identified with 48% of the taxa represented by green algae, 30% by blue-green algae, 11% by diatoms, and the rest by chrysophytes, dinoflagellates, cryptomonads and euglenoids. The dominant phytoplankton species were Lyngbya nyassae, Botryococcus braunii and Microcystis species. Seasonal biomass variation was pronounced in the first two species but not in Mycrocystis. Phytoplankton biomass increased following the mixing period in December, and thermal destratification during May to July which was also a period with high rainfall and relatively high nutrient concentration. While the seasonal variation of the total phytoplankton community in Lake Awassa was relatively low (coefficient of variation < 20%), it was higher in some of the individual component species.  相似文献

于2005年5月和11月调查了横岗水库的水质和浮游植物,对浮游植物群落结构进行了分析.两次采样期间,浮游植物群落数量组成与种类结构发生明显变化.5月份浮游植物平均细胞数量高达275.41×106cells·L-1,平均生物量为31.07mg·L-1;其中优美平裂藻(Oscillatoria.elegans)和银灰平列藻(Oscillatoria.glauca)为绝对优势种,占总细胞数的90%;平裂藻的大量出现导致浮游植物生物量由球体等效半径在10~20μm的种类占主导,但0~5μm区间的小型藻类仍维持较高的生物量.11月份,浮游植物平均细胞数量降低到12.69×106cells·L-1,平均生物量为20.78mg·L-1.蓝藻门有16种,优美平裂藻、银灰平列藻的优势度明显下降;绿藻种类数量增加到48种,在新出现的25个种类中,鼓藻科(Desmidiaceae)、盘星藻属(Pediastrum)和栅藻属(Scenedesmus)有较高的细胞数;优势种类没有变化;大细胞种类的生物量明显增加,特别是等效半径大于20μm的种类.整体上看,浮游植物数量和生物量从河流入水口到大坝处有递减趋势,这种趋势在11月份更为明显,这与采样时期水库水动力过程的梯度相一致.  相似文献

Lake Mikri Prespa is 47 km2 in area, with amaximum depth of 8.4 m and a normal water level ataround 850 m above sea level. It collects water froma granitic and karstic catchment of 189 km2 whichincludes snowy mountains rising to over 2000 m. Themain flat land is the sedimentary plain to the eastand the sandy isthmus that separates Mikri Prespa fromthe much larger Megali Prespa into which the formernormally drains. Rainfall averages around 750 mmbecause the 600 mm to 700 mm falling on the plains isaugmented by heavier falls including much snow on themountains. There is rainfall each month with anautumnal maximum. River inputs to the lake and thelake level itself peak in the spring with thesnowmelt. Mikri Prespa normally rises by about a metreto flood the surrounding wet meadows landward of thereed fringe. The annual cycle of water levelfluctuation is superimposed on infrequent upwardsurges in the level of Mikri and Megali Prespa becauseof particularly wet and snowy winters and, in recentyears, the steady decline of the level of MegaliPrespa because of tectonic activity.There has been considerable human modification of thehydrology of the area with the diversion of the AgiosGermanos torrent from Mikri to Megali Prespa, thecreation of a canal in Albania which can input orwithdraw water from the lake, the culverting of thecanal linking Mikri and Megali Prespa, and thecreation of an irrigation scheme taking water directlyfrom Mikri Prespa and from the Agios Germanosstream.The lake water is base rich because of the limestonein the catchment. Whilst concern has been expressed atthe eutrophication of the lake, recent studies haveproved that there has been no significant change innutrient status this century and the lake is noteutrophic. There has been a significant increase inturbidity but this may be the result of sedimentdisturbance by an introduced fish species.The lake and its supporting hydrological system willneed careful monitoring if it is to be effectivelymanaged. A particularly high priority is thedevelopment and implementation of a water levelmanagement plan for the lake.  相似文献

The species composition and seasonal dynamics of water mites were studied in a small softwater stream in southern Germany from October 1986 to November 1988. On average water mites contributed 5.5% by abundance and 1.8% by biomass to the total invertebrate community. Annual densities and biomasses averaged 623–1057 (mean 905) individuals M–2 and 45.9–75.6 mg (mean 64.0) dry mass m–2, respectively. 41 species were identified, Torrenticola elliptica (Torrenticolidae) being the most abundant. Nearly every taxon showed a distinct and consistent seasonality, with maximum abundance and biomass in summer and minimum values in winter. Both abundance and biomass of water mites were significantly correlated with water temperature (p < 0.001).  相似文献

Species composition and diversity of phytoplankton were studied for several years in two lakes which differ with respect to mixing conditions and nutrient limitation: Schlachtensee regularly stratifies very stably. In contrast, size and wind-exposure predispose Lake Tegel to deeper mixing; additionally, stratification is artificially destabilized by aeration. As the duration of aeration was varied, the study period includes interannual changes in mixing conditions. For both lakes, it also covers trophic change due to restoration; this was especially pronounced in Schlachtensee.Results show that mixing conditions affect species composition on two levels: on a superordinate level, lake morphology or hydrology govern stability of stratification and susceptibility to perturbation, and hence the extent to which motile species can develop. In Schlachtensee, species with some means of actively seeking preferred depths usually dominated during summer stratification: Planktothrix agardhii during the hypertrophic phase, and flagellates since restoration. In contrast, in Lake Tegel deeper mixing as a generally prevailing condition favored non-motile species. Their seasonal pattern was remarkably constant from year to year. Although changes in the extent of mixing were pronounced during the four years studied (1987–1990), these were within a range that affected species composition only slightly: in summer, cyanobacteria and diatoms represented climax species whose dominance was not offset by additional, weather-induced increases of turbulence.On a subordinate level, and within the constraints set by nutrient limitation as well as by grazing pressure, small-scale changes in mixing conditions caused by meteorological cycles were shown to strongly affect species composition and in consequence diversity: Results for the fouryear post-restoration study period at Schlachtensee show that considerable interannual variations of species composition and diversity can be attributed to variations in the frequency of meteorological changes. In accordance with the intermediate disturbance hypothesis (IDH), diversity was lowest during 1989, the year with the longest and most pronounced cycles of fair weather (14 to 27 fair days on end). However, the mechanism for this was rarely a decline of diversity caused by competitive exclusion within single long phases of stable conditions, as conceived by the intermediate disturbance hypothesis. Instead, diversity responded to changes in mixing conditions with a variety of patterns — often with low values during phases of increased mixing and with high values under quiescent conditions, especially during the first calm days just after increased mixing. Thus, not disturbance as such, but rather the rate of change between phases of disturbance and quiescence appears to determine the frequency of high diversity indices.In Lake Tegel, high diversity indices were somewhat more frequent in 1989, the year during which thermal stratification was most stable. For species adapted to frequent or continuous mixing, interjected calm phases with unusually high stability of thermal stratification may represent a disturbance of accustomed conditions. Thus, in turbulent Lake Tegel, meteorological cycles appear to act in reversal to the IDH, in a sense which may be termed intermediate quiescence hypothesis.Phosphorus limitation due to successful restoration was found to decrease winter and vernal diversity in Schlachtensee. Presumably, without nutrient constraints, new populations could grow more rapidly in response to the rapid changes of physical parameters during this season. In contrast, restoration has increased summer diversity, as phosphorus concentrations no longer allow the virtual monocultures of Planktothrix agardhii which prevailed previously. In Lake Tegel, the reduction of phosphorus concentration down to 60 µg/l P in 1989 limited biomass, but this level was still too high to significantly alter species composition or diversity.  相似文献

Production versus light response curves were made of natural phytoplankton assemblages during the year in an incubator at 8 different light intensities ranging from 60 to 1500 Einstein.m–2.sec–1. The shape of these curves is analyzed in relation to the sensitivity for photo-inhibition. At the end of the month of April, there is a sudden shift in this sensitivity at higher light intensities. The algal assemblage becomes less sensitive for photo-inhibition. The influence of light-adaptation, temperature, nutrient limitation and species composition is discussed.  相似文献

1997年4个季度在深圳河口福田泥滩3个取样站采到海洋线虫28种,隶属于3目13科22属。优势种是微口线虫(Terschellingia spl.)、蚕咽线虫(Daptonema sp1.)、Metalinhomoeus sp.和拟齿线虫(Paradontophora sp.)4种。春季海洋线虫密度最高,冬季次之,夏季第三,秋季最低。深圳河口福田泥滩的海洋线虫群落与大型底栖动物群落具有相似的特点,  相似文献

Ecosystem functioning is simultaneously affected by changes in community composition and environmental change such as increasing atmospheric carbon dioxide (CO2) and subsequent ocean acidification. However, it largely remains uncertain how the effects of these factors compare to each other. Addressing this question, we experimentally tested the hypothesis that initial community composition and elevated CO2 are equally important to the regulation of phytoplankton biomass. We full‐factorially exposed three compositionally different marine phytoplankton communities to two different CO2 levels and examined the effects and relative importance (ω2) of the two factors and their interaction on phytoplankton biomass at bloom peak. The results showed that initial community composition had a significantly greater impact than elevated CO2 on phytoplankton biomass, which varied largely among communities. We suggest that the different initial ratios between cyanobacteria, diatoms, and dinoflagellates might be the key for the varying competitive and thus functional outcome among communities. Furthermore, the results showed that depending on initial community composition elevated CO2 selected for larger sized diatoms, which led to increased total phytoplankton biomass. This study highlights the relevance of initial community composition, which strongly drives the functional outcome, when assessing impacts of climate change on ecosystem functioning. In particular, the increase in phytoplankton biomass driven by the gain of larger sized diatoms in response to elevated CO2 potentially has strong implications for nutrient cycling and carbon export in future oceans.  相似文献

The Danube is a large eutrophic river and may be one of the best studied rivers in the world. This paper presents a short characterization of the biological water quality based on data from the 1986–1992 period, collected in the Southern Hungarian section at 1480.2 river km. Variations in the hydrological features (including discharge and turbulence) are the most important factors determining the total phytoplankton biomass in the River Danube. A good correlation has been found between chlorophyll a content and discharge, from early spring to autumn, whereas the suspended matter appeared weakly related to discharge. In addition, some taxonomic notes refer to the most common members of the phytoplankton, as well as to several rare taxa.  相似文献

The macrophytic species compositions in Lake Vechten of 1963 and 1979–80 were compared and showed a considerable change. The main vegetation types were mapped in 1973, 1978, 1979 and 1980. All macrophytic communities, i.e. submerged, floating-leaved and emergent vegetation types, declined mainly due to increasing water turbidity, increasing tree-shading and, from 1978 onwards, grazing and trampling by cattle.Production rates, derived from different combinations of measurement and calculation, were compared. The macrophytes contributed only about 7% to the total lake production in 1980.  相似文献

长白山高山苔原带环境条件恶劣,通过对高山苔原带蛾类研究,揭示蛾类物种组成以及时间变化,可为研究蛾类对苔原极端生境的适应能力,以及蛾类在维持苔原带生态平衡中的作用提供依据。2005-2007年和2019年,每年的6、7、8月,在长白山高山苔原带利用灯诱采集蛾类标本,分析蛾类的物种组成以及时间动态。共采集蛾类1585头,隶属于13科126种,夜蛾科(Noctuidae)为优势类群,绿组夜蛾(Anaplectoides prasina)和一色兜夜蛾(Cosmia unicolor)为优势种,稀有种较多。蛾类的种-多度分布接近生态位优先假说。7月份蛾类的物种数、个体数最多,丰富度指数、多样性指数都最高,但均匀度指数却最低。不同种类对时间的反应表现出一定的差异,黄绿组夜蛾(Anaplectoides virens)对8月,厉切夜蛾(Euxoa lidia)对6月的适应力相对较强。各物种的顺序日期存在一定的差异性,只有10种蛾类在3个月份都被采集到。研究表明,长白山高山苔原带蛾类的多样性较低,成虫活跃期较短;不同类群的蛾类在苔原环境中显示出差异化的适应性,夜蛾科的适应能力超过其它类群,尺蛾科(Geometridae)的适应性相对较低,蛾类对时间的变化反应比较敏感。  相似文献

景洪水库是澜沧江下游的重要梯级开发水库,具有重要的生态战略地位。为评估景洪水库水质和浮游植物群落结构现状,本研究根据库区水位和季节变化在2021年3月、6月、9月开展了库区水质和浮游植物监测。结果表明:景洪水库各监测点位水质较好,满足《地表水环境质量标准》Ⅱ类水质标准,富营养化评价结果为贫营养至中营养,但水质和营养状态从3月至9月呈现逐渐下降的趋势; 3月至9月浮游植物密度增加、多样性降低,随着季节变化浮游植物优势种发生明显改变,3月份优势种为隐藻门(Cryptophyta)和硅藻门(Bacillariophyta),到9月份库区演变为蓝藻门(Cyanophyta)为主。RDA分析表明总有机碳和透明度与浮游植物群落结构变化显著相关。建议后期需加强景洪水库水生态环境监测与评估,预防水体富营养化和蓝藻水华的发生。  相似文献

Three marine phytoplankters (Isochrysis galbana, Chaetoceros calcitrans andThalassiosira pseudonana), commonly used in the culture of bivalve larvae, were grown in batch or semi-continuous cultures. Changes in protein, carbohydrate, lipid and some fatty acids were measured as growth became limited by nitrogen, silicon, phosphorus or light. Under N starvation (2 d) the % lipid remained relatively constant, while% carbohydrate increased and% protein decreased in all 3 species compared to cells growing under no nutrient limitation. Under Si starvation (6 h) there was no change in lipid, protein or carbohydrates. The amount of two fatty acids, 20 : 53 and 22 : 63 remained relatively constant under N, P and Si starvation, exept for a sharp drop in the cells of P-starvedT. pseudonana. However, there were pronounced species differences withI. galbana containing significantly less 20 : 5 3 thanC. calcitrans orT. pseudonana. Under light limitation the amount of lipid per cell showed no consistent trend over a range of irradiances for all 3 species. The amount of N per cell (an index of protein content) as a function of irradiance, was relatively constant forI. galbana andT. pseudonana, while the amount of N per cell was lower under low irradiances forC. calcitrans. These examples of changes in protein, carbohydrate, lipid and certain fatty acids under nutrient (N, Si or P) or light limitation, emphasize the importance of knowing the phase (e.g. logarithmic vs stationary) of the growth curve in batch cultures, since the nutritional value of the phytoplankters could change as cultures become dense and growth is terminated due to nutrient or light limitation.Presented at the XIIIth International Seaweed Symposium, University of British Columbia, Vancouver, Canada, August 1989.  相似文献

珠三角河网水域是珠江之水流入南海的必经之地,对2012年该水域浮游植物生物量的时空特征及其影响因素进行系统阐析。调查期间共发现浮游植物7门,383种(包括变种、变型),其中硅藻和绿藻是最主要类群,其次是裸藻和蓝藻。颗粒直链藻原变种是调查水域的本底物种,也是最优势种;而变异直链藻和网球藻分别是枯水季节和丰水季节的指示物种。从季节变动看,浮游植物总生物量呈现枯水季节高、丰水季节低的特征,主要与径流导致的稀释作用和透明度升高引发的沉降损失有关。从空间分布看,总生物量呈现自西南向东北升高的趋势,主要与营养盐的空间分布格局有关,而且空间分布格局无季节差异。从不同类群的相对组成上看,硅藻占据绝对优势地位,绿藻和裸藻次之,这与20世纪80年度初的调查结果基本一致。硅藻在枯水季节占据绝对优势地位,而在丰水季节由于绿藻和裸藻优势的明显增大,导致硅藻的优势下降,这与流域中一些死水区域如水库、浅滩中的蓝绿藻和裸藻在丰水期涌入干流有关,PCA分析结果也证明了这一点。此外,不同站位在相对组成上的季节变动还受盐度的影响。综上,物理因子包括与径流相关的稀释作用和与透明度相关的沉降损失不仅影响总生物量的季节变动,也影响不同类群的相对组成;而化学因素如营养盐含量是决定总生物量空间分布的关键因素,与河口潮汐作用相关的盐度变化对类群相对组成的空间分布起到一定的影响作用。  相似文献

自2007年5月至2008年4月对湖北省枣阳市熊河水库的浮游植物群落进行调查和分析.调查共发现浮游植物49属74种,绿藻在种类组成上占绝对优势,共40种,其次为蓝藻,有15种,硅藻11种,甲藻3种,金藻和裸藻各2种,隐藻仅1种.蓝藻存在夏季(7月)高峰,优势种为卷曲鱼腥藻(Anabaena circinalis);硅藻、隐藻和甲藻均存在一个春季(3或4月)高峰,优势种分别为双头针杆藻(Synedra amphicephala)、羽纹脆杆藻(Fragilaria pinnata)、卵形隐藻(Cryptomonas ovata)和二角多甲藻(Peridinium bipes).Simpson多样性指数、Shannon-Wiener多样性指数、Pielou均匀度指数和Margalef丰富度指数的年平均值分别是0.60、2.20、0.76和1.15.多样性指数和均匀度指数具有明显的季节变化规律,但无明显的空间分布规律.  相似文献

对2012年珠三角河网浮游植物物种丰富度的时空特征进行了系统阐析。季节上,枯水期的物种丰度差异大,丰水期差异小;空间上,广州周边及河网中部个别站位的总种数高于其他站位。不同季节的空间特征显示,枯水期的物种丰度自西江沿线、河网中部、广州周边呈递增趋势;而丰水期呈现三角洲两侧的物种丰富度高于河网中部。各类群相对组成结果显示,硅藻在枯水季节占绝对优势,丰水期优势下降;空间上广州周边站位硅藻百分比明显低于其他站位。分析原因,径流相关的补充和稀释作用和水体搅动引起的底层藻类的悬浮补充不仅影响物种丰富度的季节变动,也影响不同类群的相对组成;水体交换能力和营养盐分别是决定丰水期和枯水期物种丰富度空间分布的关键因素。  相似文献
