暨南大学生态学专业植物学实验教学的改革与实践

植物学实验是生态学专业的基础课程之一,对生态学专业植物学实验课程的教学改革要结合专业特点和教师的科研特长,对实验课的课程体系进行优化,要在教学实践中不断完善,培养学生的实践动手能力和创新能力.该教学改革研究以2007级生态学专业本科生为对象,从优化整合实验课内容、引导学生对科研工作的兴趣和强化实践过程三个方面,对生态学系的植物学实验课进行了改革实验,取得了良好的教学效果.     

全球变化背景下生态学热点问题研究——第二届"国际青年生态学者论坛"

为促进中国青年生态学者与海外生态学者的交流与合作,第二届"国际青年生态学者论坛"于2011年8月1—4日在南京大学举行。来自海内外近400名学生和青年学者,围绕"全球变化背景下生态学热点问题"主题,分别从植物群落学、植物生理生态学、地下生态学、水生态系统、生物入侵、生物多样性、区域生态安全等7个方面进行了交流与讨论,本届论坛报告反映了在全球变化背景下,我国生态学在研究领域、内容、尺度、方法上的发展现状与进展。以会议收集的95篇摘要为基础,重点综述了27场青年学者论坛报告内容,并对会议的进一步完善提出了几点建议。     

生态空间理论与景观异质性

概述生态空间理论的若干主要方面：尺度、空间格局、景观异质性、镶嵌与生态交错带以及干扰与景观动态等。生态空间理论是景观评价,管理和生态规划的重要基础,对于区域可持续发展和生物多样性保护等方面的研究都具有重要的指导意义。

Ecology through time, an overview.

This brief review is an attempt to condense the major events in the history of Ecology into short 10 sections. In little more than two generations, a new science has emerged and developed into a fundamental part of our lives, spurred on by increasing interest in "natural systems" and concerns over the environmental changes we are witnessing. Ecology, rather neglected until the early decades of last century, flourished and established itself as mature science during the mid-1900s, producing many theories, models, hypothesis and trends of thought. Ecology deals with interacting natural systems and eclectically applies tools drawn from several different sciences (Biology, Mathematics, Statistics, Chemistry, Geology, Physics and so on). The beauty of the subject and its multidisciplinary approach makes Ecology extremely intriguing for researchers. One of the main goals of Ecology is to forecast population, community and ecosystem trends over time. Ecological systems are complex: they are composed of such a large number of different, interacting components that their overall behavior can only be understood in terms of emerging properties. Therefore, some interactions and effects are difficult to predict. However, some insights into population and community trends can be inferred from exhaustive data sets and sufficiently long-term, time-series data and dynamic models. Unfortunately, due to the limited funding of environmental data collection, only a few exhaustive, long-term samplings have been carried out, and systematic record keeping for the purposes of ecological research has only recently become widespread. However, it is still possible to garner some insights from historical reports (proxies), which clearly show how the population structures of most of today's communities have been affected by human activities.This short review is based on a talk given at Arcidosso (Grosseto, Italy) during the September, 2005 workshop: "Scientific research and society during the last fifty years", organized by the Interdisciplinary Center for the Study of Complex Systems of the University of Pisa (CISSC), in cooperation with the Domus Galilaeana. The talk was addressed to scientists in various fields with the threefold aim of presenting Ecology as a true science, stimulating curiosity and laying the bases for further insights. We hope that this review, as brief as it is, may at least partially attain such goals.

中国生态学期刊现状分析

通过对我国12种主要生态学期刊的出版指标、引用指标和网络传播能力的现状分析,得出《生态学报》、《应用生态学报》、《植物生态学报》和《生态学杂志》已经成为我国生态学期刊的第一方阵,出版能力和引用表现都要优于其他期刊,但是期刊特色不明显。生态学期刊已经不能满足生态学快速发展的需要,应该有新的期刊来承载新生分支学科的内容,同时生态学期刊需要进一步加强网络传播能力的建设。最重要的是生态学期刊应该从散落在其他学科的状态中聚集起来形成生态学期刊集群。     

空间分子生态学——分子生态学与空间生态学相结合的新领域

分子标记、基因流、种群空间动态是当前生命科学研究中的热点领域。RFLPs、RAPDs、微卫星等新的分子标记的不断涌现,促进了这些领域的飞速发展。对种群空间动态研究中的等级岛屿模型、距离隔离模型、脚踏石模型、集合种群模型等方面许多令人瞩目的进展做了介绍。同时还介绍了遗传距离、基因流及其测度、基因突变模型、3S技术、空间精确性种群模型和基因频率的空间自相关等热点领域。最后,就空间分子生态学存在的问题与前景进行了讨论,指出了空间分子生态学可能的发展方向。

In 2022, researchers from around the world entered the BMC Ecology and Evolution photography competition. The contest produced a spectacular collection of photographs that capture the wonder of the natural world and the growing need to protect it as the human impact on the planet intensifies. This editorial celebrates the winning images selected by the Editor of BMC Ecology and Evolution and senior members of the journal’s editorial board.

全球变化背景下的现代生态学——第六届现代生态学讲座纪要

"现代生态学讲座"是由著名生态学家李博院士创导,国内外华人生态学家联合发起,旨在促进中国现代生态学与世界同步发展,加强国内外生态学界交流与合作的国际会议。2011年8月1-4日在南京大学举行的第六届现代生态学讲座围绕"全球背景下现代生态学热点问题及其研究进展"主题,进行了23场特邀专家学术讲座,从全球变化背景下:现代生态学方法论、全球变化与陆地生态系统的响应与反馈、全球变化背景下的生物入侵、全球变化背景下的森林生态、全球变化背景下的植物生理生态、全球变化背景下退化生态系统恢复与重建、全球变化背景下的生态水文、全球变化背景下的区域生态管理等八个方面进行分类总结,从不同时空尺度、不同学科角度探讨全球变化与生态系统的响应以及人类为实现可持续发展而采取的适应性管理对策。最后,对会议的进一步完善提出几点建议。     

Twenty years of Road Ecology: a Topical Collection looking forward for new perspectives

The European Journal of Wildlife Research introduces a new Topical Collection focused on Road Ecology. This Topical Collection aims to be a useful tool for the development of generalized principles and applications concerning wildlife-related aspects of Road Ecology. Submissions exploring new or lesser-known costs and potential benefits for wildlife coexisting with road networks are encouraged.

Ecology for transformation

Ecology has a key role in our understanding of the benefits that humans obtain from ecosystems (i.e. ecosystem services). Ecology can also contribute to developing environmentally sound technologies, markets for ecosystem services and approaches to decision-making that account for the changing relationship between humans and ecosystems. These contributions involve basic ecological research on, for example, the resilience of ecosystem services or relationships of ecosystem change to natural disasters. Much of the necessary work involves interdisciplinary collaboration among ecologists, social scientists and decision makers. As we discuss here, ecology should help formulate positive, plausible visions for relationships of society and ecosystems that can potentially sustain ecosystem services for long periods of time.
