Summary Meiotic pairing in Triticum turgidum cv. Ma (4x) with a mean chiasmata frequency of 27.16 per cell was compared with chiasmata frequencies in its hybrids with several triticale strains, Chinese Spring wheat and its addition lines for Imperial rye chromosomes 4R and 6R. In hybrids between Ma and x Triticosecale cv. Rosner the chiasmata frequency was marginally reduced by an average of 1.25%, by 8.8% in hybrids with x Triticosecale cv. DRIRA HH and by 6.7% with DRIRA EE (lacking 90% telomeric heterochromatin from chromosome arm 7RL). In pentaploid hybrids between Ma and T. aestivum cv. Chinese Spring the reduction was an average of 10.30%, while addition lines with rye chromosome 6R reduced chiasmata frequencies by an average of 7.4% and rye addition line for 4R showed the greatest depression in chiasmata frequency in hybrids by a 25.04% reduction. Negative-ion fast atom bombardment tandem mass spectrometry has been used in the characterization of non-, mono-, di- and trisulfated disaccharides from heparin and heparan sulfate. The positional isomers of the sulfate group of monosulfated disaccharides were distinguished from each other by negative-ion fast atom bombardment tandem mass spectra, which provide an easy way of identifying the positional isomers. Zusammenfassung In den Jahren 1961 und 1962 wurden Untersuchungen mit Hilfe der Exosmose-Methode durchgeführt, um sich über die Frostresistenz von nahezu 100 Apfelsorten zu orientieren. Die Versuchsergebnisse (ausgedrückt in RLF-Werten, d. h. als Proportion des elektrolytischen Widerstandes zwischen den Kontrollen und den kältebehandelten Pflanzenteilen) zeigen gute Übereinstimmung mit den Resultaten anderer Härtebeurteilungsmethoden, z. B. mit den Gefrierversuchen in Gefrierkammern und mit den amerikanischen, deutschen und schweidischen Freilandbeobachtungen. Die berechneten Korrelationskoeffizienten gaben Werte von r=>+0,750 mit einer statistischen Sicherheit von P=<0,001. Es gibt jedoch Sorten, welche sich unter den verschiedenen Versuchsbedingungen nicht gleichartig verhielten. In diese Gruppe gehören die Sorten Goldparmäne, James Grieve, Lanes Prince Albert, Schöner aus Nordhausen, Slava Petersburga und Transparente de Croncels. Der Zusammenhang zwischen der geographischen Herkunft und der Frostresistenz ist augenfällig. Die durchschnittlichen RLF-Werte der frostempfindlichen oder sehr frostempfindlichen französischen Sorten liegen bei ungefähr 150, die der finnischen und baltischen frostharten Sorten dagegen unter 110. Die Rangordnung der verschiedenen Klimagebiete erfolgte entsprechend der geographischen Lage. Es gab Sorten, die der allgemeinen Tendenz nicht folgten und sich abweichend verhielten. Hierzu gehören: Transparente de Croncels, (Frankreich), Wealthy (USA), Cox Pomona und Ribston (Großbritannien). Über eine wesentlich schlechtere Resistenz, als auf Grund des Ursprungsgebietes zu erwarten war, verfügt Ontario (Kanada).  相似文献

Zusammenfassung Verglichen mit 1- und 2-Naphthyl--d-glucosid,--d-galactosid,--d-glucuronid,--d-N-acetylglucosaminid,--d-glucosid,--d-galactosid und--d-mannosid werden 1- und 2-Naphthyl--l-fucosid schneller oder im gleichen Ausmaß von Homogenaten verschiedener Rattenorgane hydrolysiert. Trotzdem fällt der histochemische Nachweis der -l-Fucosidasen methodenunabhängig im Gegensatz zu dem der anderen Glykosidasen überwiegend negativ aus. Ursache dafür ist die massive Hemmung der -l-Fucosidase durch Aldehydfixation und Diazoniumsalze; die Inhibitionsrate liegt bei 90% bzw. zwischen 85 und 98%; die - und -d-Glucosidase, - und -d-Galactosidase, -d-Mannosidase, -d-Glucuronidase sowie -d-N-Acetylglucosaminidase werden durch Aldehydfixation oder Kuppler höchstens zu 70% gehemmt. Daher können 1- und 2-Naphthyl--l-fucosid für die histochemische Darstellung der -l-Fucosidase nicht einschränkungslos empfohlen werden. Kleine Mengen Dimethylformamid hemmen die meisten Glykosidasen nicht.Für biochemische Messungen der -l-Fucosidase eignet sich speziell 1-Naphthyl--l-fucosid und läßt sich an Stelle von p-Nitrophenyl--l-fucosid werwenden. Bei der fluorometrischen Untersuchung der -l-Fucosidase in Rattenorganen mit dem 2-Naphthylderivat ergeben sich bemerkenswerte Aktivitätsunterschiede.
Suitability of naphthyl--l-fucosides for the investigation of -l-fucosidases
Summary In comparison with 1- and 2-naphthyl -d-glucoside, -d-galactoside, -d-glucuronide, -d-N-acetylglucosaminide, -d-glucoside, -d-galactoside and -d-mannoside 1- and 2-naphthyl -l-fucoside are hydrolyzed more quickly or to the same extent by homogenates prepared from freezedried cryostate sections of various rat organs. Nevertheless, when the fucosides are employed for the histochemical demonstration of -l-fucosidase mostly negative data were obtained independent on the method used, whereas all other naphthyl glycosides deliver positive results. The reasons for these discrepancies are the marked inhibition of -l-fucosidase by aldehyde fixation and diazonium salts. Then, -l-fucosidase activity is suppressed to 90% and between 85 and 98% respectively; the inhibition of - and -d-glucosidase, - and -d-galactosidase, -d-mannosidase, -d-glucuronidase and -d-N-acetylglucosaminidase by the fixative or coupling reagent does not exceed 70%. Therefore 1- and 2-naphthyl -l-fucoside cannot be recommended in general for histochemical purposes. Small amounts of dimethylformamide do not influence the activity of most of the glycosidases investigated.For biochemical measurements, however, especially 1-naphthyl -l-fucoside represents a suitable alternative in a fluorometric procedure instead of p-nitrophenyl -l-fucoside used for the photometric evaluation of -l-fucosidase. With the fluorometric method the enzyme was measured in rat organs, which posses remarkably different activities of -l-fucosidase.

Summary Analysis of -thalassemia syndromes in several German families revealed DNA deletion as well as nondeletion forms as the molecular basis for the defects. Thus, the -thalassemia haplotype was identified as the (–)3.7 rightward deletion form, and the region of the putative recombination process generating such a deletion was further characterized. In addition three different ° haplotypes, (--)MED, (--)>26, and ()T, could be detected using -and -globin gene-specific probes.  相似文献

The subject RNA models the binding site for the coat protein of the R17 virus, as well as the ribosome recognition sequence for the R17 replicase gene. With an RNA of this size, overlaps among the sugar protons complicate assignments of the 1H NMR spectrum. The cross peaks that overlap significantly in 2D-NOE spectra can frequently be resolved by introducing a third, in our approach the double-quantum, frequency axis. In particular the planes in a 3D-NOE/2QC spectrum perpendicular to the 2Q axis are extremely useful, showing a highly informative repeating NOE-2Q pattern. In this experiment substantial J-coupling confers special advantages. This always occurs for geminal pairs (H5/H5 for RNA plus H2/H2 for DNA), as well as for H5/H6, for H3/H4 in sugars with substantial populations of the N-pucker, for H1/H2 for S-puckered sugars, and usually for H2/H3. For the 24-mer RNA hairpin the additional information from the 3D-NOE/2QC spectrum allowed assignment of all of the non-exchangeable protons, eliminating the need for stable-isotope labeling.  相似文献

Summary The establishment and development of vesicular-arbuscular mycorrhizal (VAM) fungi were studied in three cultivars of potato, which differed in susceptibility to Late blight, in a field experiment on a lateritic sandy-loam during two growing seasons (1980 and 1981). The cultivars SSC 1174 (highly resistant) and Kufri Jyoti (resistant) showed an earlier establishment and more rapid development of VAM fungi than up-to-date (highly susceptible). The first mycorrhizal infection in both SSC 1174 and Kufri Jyoti was observed after 12 days in 1980 and 8 days in 1981, whereas in up-to-date it was observed after 19 and 12 days respectively. The mycorrhizal infection increased with the age of the plants in all the three cultivars.  相似文献

Summary The ratio of deuterium to hydrogen (expressed as D) in hydrogen released as water during the combustion of dried plant material was examined. The D value (metabolic hydrogen) determined on plant materials grown under controlled conditions is correlated with pathways of photosynthetic carbon metabolism. C3 plants show mean D values of-132 for shoots and -117 for roots; C4 plants show mean D values of -91 for shoots and-77 for roots and CAM plants a D value of-75 for roots and shoots. The difference between the D value of shoot material from C3 and C4 plants was confirmed in species growing under a range of glasshouse conditions. This difference in D value between C3 and C4 species does not appear to be due to differences in the D value (tissue water) in the plants as a result of physical fractionation of hydrogen isotopes during transpiration. In C3 and C4 plants the hydrogen isotope discrimination is in the same direction as the carbon isotope discrimination and factors contributing to the difference in D values are discussed. In CAM plants grown in the laboratory or collected from the field D values range from-75 to +50 and are correlated with 13C values. When deprived of water, the D value (metabolic hydrogen) in both soluble and insoluble material in leaves of Kalanchoe daigremontiana Hamet et Perr., becomes less negative. These changes may reflect the deuterium enrichment of tissue water during transpiration, or in field conditions, may reflect the different D value of available water in areas of increasing aridity. Whatever the origin of the variable D value in CAM plants, this parameter may be a useful index of the water relations of these plants under natural conditions.  相似文献

Zusammenfassung In der Einleitung ist das Ziel der Arbeit in den wesentlichsten Punkten herausgestellt.Die Bursastrukturen (Bursavelum und Rippen bzw. Papillen) der parasitischen Strongylina lassen sich von den entsprechenden Bildungen der freilebenden Rhabditina, vor allem der Gattung Rhabditis, ableiten und in ihren Einzelgliedern homologisieren.Die im Laufe der Phylogenie bei den Strongylina auftretenden strukturellen Transformationen lassen sich auf einige wenige, relativ einfache morphogenetische Grundvorgänge zurückführen, die da sind: Wachstumsallometrien, Materialkompensationen, Organverschmelzungen und Spaltungen (Fissationen), Rudimentationen und ähnliche Vorgänge.Innerhalb der Strongylina Bursa ist ein Gefälle der Wachstumsgradienten feststellbar, das sich vom Zentrum der Bursa sowohl nach distal als auch proximalwärts abschwdcht. Zunehmende Förderung der zentral gelegenen Organe (Rippen) führt zu entsprechender Reduktion der peripheren Bursastrukturen, was vor allem im terminalen Schwanzabschnitt auffällt und zur Ausbildung des oft nur noch als Rudiment vorhandenen Dorsalrippenkomplexes führt. Letzterer entspricht in seiner Gesamtheit der Schwanzspitze der peloderen Rhabditiden mit den Papillen 9 und 10.Die bei Rhabditis moist getrennten Papillen 7 und 8 sind bei allen Strongylina zu einer Rippe (Externodorsal-Rippe) verschmolzen, die jedoch in manchen Aberrationen durch Abspaltung eines akzessorischen Astes ihre wahre Natur (als Verschmelzungsprodukt) zu erkennen gibt (Atavismus).Da dieselben Transformationsvorgänge innerhalb der Strongylina mehrfach unabhängig voneinander wirksam geworden sind, treten bestimmte Strukturformen als Parallelbildungen in verschiedenen phylogenetischen Union auf (polytope Entstehung).Zahlreich untersuchte Bildungsabweichungen (Aberrationen), deren Bedeutung für die Morphologie kurz umrissen wird, erschöpfen sich in den gleichen strukturellen Transformationstypen, die auch bei der Evolution der verschiedenen Union der Strongylina nachweisbar sind. Die Aberrationen führen daher häufig zu Atavismen oder zu Parallelvariationen (homologe Variationen").Die Zahl der Umwandlungsmbglichkeiten (Potenzen) der Bursastrukturen innerhalb der Strongylina ist beschränkt (Paripotenz im Sinne Haeckers). Bestimmte Arten (und Entwicklungshnien) haben jeweils nur bestimmte Potenzen realisiert. Andere können jedoch latent (virtuell) im Kryptotypus vorhanden sein, ohne normalerweise in Erscheinung. zu treten. In bestimmten Aberrationen können sie jedoch plötzlich realisiert werden, so ihr latentes Vorhandensein demonstrierend (Pluripotenz).Wie lange bestimmte Potenzen in einer Gruppe erhalten bleiben konnen, verdeutlichen auch die Schwanzhocker weiblicher Nematoden, als zum Bauplan der Nematoden gehbrende Bildungen. Die Potenz zur Ausbildung dieser Strukturen kommt offensichtlich sehr vielen Nematoden-Arten zu, wird jedoch nur in relativ wenigen Fällen, aber innerhalb der verschiedenen Gruppen bald hier, bald dort (disjunkte Verbreitung), realisiert. Es handelt sich bei den Schwanzhöckern um rudimentäre Organe, die bei keiner Nematoden-Art mehr voll ausgebildet erhalten sind. Ihre Rudimentation beruht zum Teil auf Materialentzug, als Folge von Unkonstruktionen der Schwanzregion, wobei die Adultstadien zuerst betroffen werden (Aphanisie nach Sewertzoff).Bei den in Chiropteren parasitierenden Strongylacanthinae haben sich Schwanzhöcker noch bei allen Arten erhalten, was ein offensichtlich archaisches Merkmal darstellt. Bei anderen Nematoden, denen sie nur im Larvalstadium zukommen, treten sie wohl durch Fötalisation in seltenen Fällen auch bei den adulten Stadien wieder auf.Alle speziellen Bursaformen der Strongylina lassen sich durch relativ wenige und einfache Transformationsvorgänge aus einem durch Abstraktion gewonnenen diagrammatischen Typus ableiten (Prinzip der variablen Proportionen" nach Troll).Die typisierten Umwandlungsvorgänge decken sich weitgehend mit den von Remane allgemein gefaßten strukturellen Typen der Realmutationen. Da sie bei den beobachteten Aberrationen, deren Entstehung auf dem Wege über Realmutationen sehr wahrscheinlich ist, in homologer Weise auftreten, kann das innerhalb der Strongylina zu beobachtende Evolutionsphänomen auf Realmutationen zurückgeführt warden.Obwohl sich die untersuchten strukturellen Transformationen in dem systematisch relativ wait gefaßten Rahmen einer Unterordnung abspielen (transspezifische Evolution nach Rensch), handelt es sich bei der von uns bevorzugten Terminologie (nach Woltereck und Remane), unter Berücksichtigung des Charakters der Umwandlungen, doch nur um Vorgänge, die in den Bereich der Mikroevolution fallen.  相似文献

Summary A balanced translocation was found in a normal female with a history of four abortions. On the basis of the Giemsa-banding pattern the abnormality was interpreted as to be a translocation of a part of the long arm of chromosome 13 to the short arm of chromosome 7:t(7;13)(7qter7p22::13q1413qter;13q1413pter::7p227pter). Summary A p-nitrophenyl--d-glucopyranosidase from Bacillus thermoamyloliquefaciens KP 1171 capable of growing at 30°–66°C was assigned to an oligo-1,6-glucosidase (dextrin 6--d-glucanohydrolase, EC 3.2.1.10). The enzyme was compared with its homologous counterparts from B. cereus NY-14, B. cereus ATCC 7064 (each mesophile), B. coagulans ATCC 7050 (facultative thermophile), B. thermoglucosidasius KP 1006 (DSM 2542, obligate thermophile) and B. flavocaldarius KP 1228 (extreme thermophile) in thermostability and kinetic parameters at suboptimal temperatures for isomaltosaccharides (2–6 glucose units). This analysis showed that the efficiency of each isomaltosaccharide hydrolysis changes in a convex manner with increasing thermostability on the transition, NY-14 ATCC 7064 ATCC 7050 KP 1071 KP 1006 KP 1228 enzymes, with a maximum at KP 1071 or ATCC 7050 enzyme.Presented at the Annual Meeting of the Agricultural Chemical Society of Japan, Kyoto, April 1, 1986  相似文献

A -glucosidase of the hyperthermophilic bacterium Thermotoga maritima has been purified from a recombinant Escherichia coli clone expressing the corresponding gene. The enzyme was found to be a dimer with an apparent molecular mass of approximately 95 kDa as determined by size exclusion chromatography. It was composed of two apparently identical subunits of about 47 kDa (determined by sodium dodecyl sulphate-polyacrylamide gel electrophoresis). The enzyme had a bbroadsubstrate specificity and attacked -glucoside, -galactoside, -fucoside, and, to a very small extent, also -xyloside substrates. -Glycosidic bonds were not hydrolysed. Kinetic measurement of the hydrolysis of o-nitrophenyl--d-glucopyranoside (oNPGlc) and o-nitrophenyl--d-galactopyranoside (oNPGal) in the concentration ranges 0.05–20 mm and 0.1–10 mm, respectively, at 75°C resulted in non-linear Lineweaver-Burk and Eadie-Hofstee 3lots whereas cellobiose and lactose did not induce this type of effect. Lactose caused substrate inhibition above 350 mm. The enzyme was optimally active at about pH 6.1. The T. maritima -glucosidase represents the most thermostable -glucosidase described to date. In 50 mm sodium phosphate buffer, pH 6.2, at an enzyme concentration of 50 g/ml, the pure enzyme without additives retained more than 60% of its initial activity after a 6-h incubation at 95°C. The genes encoding the two polypeptide chains ( and) that comprise the murine Ia antigens were localized within distinct regions of the major histocompatibility complex (MHC). This was accomplished by correlating allelic forms of the and chains with the MHC congenic strains of mice from which they were isolated. Allelic forms of and chains were distinguished by their unique structural markers, such as isoelectric points, amino acid sequences or peptide maps. The results indicate that the structural genes for both the and chains of I-A subregion antigens are located within the K to I-A genetic interval. In contrast, the gene encoding the chain of I-E subregion antigens is located outside of theI-E subregion and within the K to I-B genetic interval. These findings may have important implications for analysis of observations that complementation by twoI-region genes is sometimes required for development of immune responses.  相似文献

Zusammenfassung Fasern der menschlichen Kehlkopfmuskulatur weisen seitliche Aussackungen auf, die unter dem Sarkolemm in lockerer Anordnung Kerne, Lysosomen, Lipofuscingranula und Mitochondrien mit oft konzentrisch angeordneten Cristae enthalten. Sie sind mit den lichtmikroskopisch bekannten End- bzw. Seitenkolben identisch. Diese Aussackungen werden von den gefäßnahen subsarkolemmalen Mitochondrienanhäufungen eines bestimmten, auch in der übrigen Skelettmuskulatur weitverbreiteten Muskelfasertyps abgeleitet. Es wurden keine Verbindungen mit Nervenfasern gefunden. Im Gegensatz zu Goerttler können wir diese Bildungen deshalb nicht als Mechanorezeptoren deuten. Die Endkolben werden als sekantial getroffene Seitenkolben aufgefaßt. Da die Aussackungen der Fasern auch bei gesunden jungen Männern in der Kehlkopfmuskulatur regelmäßig auftreten, handelt es sich hier nicht um eine krankhafte Bildung, wenn auch die Faser im Bereich der Aussackungen einen degenerativen Prozeß durchzumachen scheint.
Summary Fibers of human larynx muscles show lateral dilatations of the sarcolemma containing loosely disposed mitochondria, lysosomes and eventually one or more nuclei. The cristae of the mitochondria often are arranged concentrically. Corresponding fiber dilatations have already been described by light microscopists as side- resp. end-bulbs.Our electron-microscopical observations lead to the conclusion that the dilatations are derived from accumulations of mitochondria beneath the sarcolemma which in similar form — but smaller — are characteristic of one type of the different muscle fibers, frequently to be found in other muscles of the body. Both subsarcolemma accumulations of mitochondria are close to the muscle capillaries.The fiber dilatations have no connections with nerve axons, and therefore cannot be interpreted as mechanoreceptors (Goerttler, 1960). The end-bulbs are supposed to be secantially (or obliquely) cut side-bulbs. We do not consider them pathologic since they are regularly found in fibers of healthy young men. On the other hand, they may represent a circumscribed degenerative alteration the origin of which remains to be explored.

The seeds of 19 sunflower species were compared on the basis of their protein contents and the relative proportions of their protein fractions. The globulin content varied from 50% to about 70% and the albumin content from 18% to 35% according to the species. The level of intermediateMr polypeptides showed a great variability (9.6 to 24.3%). Comparative studies onMr polymorphism were carried out by means of sodium dodecyl sulphate polyacrylamide gel electrophoresis (SDS-PAGE) of non reduced and/or reduced samples using both mono- and bidimensional procedures. Polypeptide constituents of helianthinin were compared including both number and molecular size (cultivatedH. annuus was used as a standard). Studies focused on differences observed between the major two (Mr 38 000), (Mr 32 000) and (Mr 25 500), (21 000) polypeptides families constituting the main A, B, and C subunits. and polypeptides analyses permit to discriminate easilyH. petiolaris from the other species. Charge polymorphism was studied using isoelectric focusing (IEF) and IEF-PAGE in mono and bidimensional procedures in the presence or absence of 2-mercaptoethanol (2-ME). Only a specific 4 polypeptide enables an easy discrimination betweenH. petiolaris and all the other species. Detailed nomenclature of the , and , polypeptides constituting the different helianthinin globulin subunits is given via the results of pI andMr analyses. Summary Thirteen spontaneously occurring chlorophyll deficient phenotypes have been described and their genetic basis was established. Ten of these — white, white tipped green, patchy white, white virescent, white striping 1, white striping 2, white striping 4, fine striping, chlorina and yellow virescent showed monogenic recessive inheritance and the remaining three — yellow striping, yellow green and light green seedling phenotypes showed digenic recessive inheritance. The genes for (i) white tipped green (wr) and yellow virescent (yv) and (ii) patchy white (pw) and white striping 1 (wst 1) showed independent assortment. Further, the genes for white (w), white tipped green (wr) and yellow virescent (yv) were inherited independently of the gene for hairy leaf margin (Hm).In the mutants — white tipped green, patchy white, white striping 1, white striping 2, fine striping, chlorina, yellow virescent, yellow striping, yellow green and light green phenotypes total quantity of chlorophyll was significantly less than that in the corresponding controls, while in white virescent there was no reduction in the mature stage. For nine of the mutants the quantity of chlorophyll was also estimated in F1's (mutant x control green). In F1's of six of the mutants — white tip, patchy white, chlorina, yellow virescent, fine striping and yellow striping the quantity of chlorophyll was almost equal to the wild type. In the F1's of three of the mutants — white striping 1, white striping 2 and light green an intermediate value between the mutant and wild types was observed. In yellow virescent retarded synthesis of chlorophyll, particularly chlorophyll a was observed in the juvenile stage. Reduced quantity of chlorophyll was associated with defective chloroplasts. In the mutants — white tipped green, white virescent, fine striping, chlorina, yellow striping, yellow green and light green defective plastids were also observed. In patchy white secondary destruction of chlorophylls and the presence of defective plastids were found to be associated with reduced chlorophyll quantity at maturity.Paper chromatographic studies of leaf flavonoids revealed some variation between the inbreds, but there were three common spots, 7, 8 and 9, except for PDP in which the spot 8 was absent. Chlorophyll deficient mutants differed from their respective controls in the absence of one or more of the spots present in the controls and in the presence of new spots in some of the mutants.Most of the chlorophyll mutants showed higher survival rate in the Kharif season than in Rabi season which was attributed to the higher mean day temperature and longer day light period in the Kharif season than in Rabi season.  相似文献

The properties of the -2-l-fucosyltransferases in submaxillary gland preparations from blood group ABH secrefors and non-secretors were compared. The level of activity in the non-secretor gland homogenates amounted to about 5% only of that found in the secretor gland preparations. The enzymes from the two sources differed in solubility properties, charge and affinities for donor and acceptor substrates. The enzyme from secretor glands showed a preference for acceptors with Type 1 [d-galactosyl(1–3)-N-acetyl-d-glucosamine] structures whereas the enzyme from non-secretor glands had a preference for Type 2 [d-galactosyl(1–4)-N-acetyl-d-glucosamine] structures.These results demonstrate that expression of the secretor gene (Se) is associated with a molecular form of the -2-l-fucosyltransferase that is different from the species present in the same tissue when theSe gene is not expressed.  相似文献

Summary Integrins play a major role in cell-cell and cell-matrix interactions. The majority of the different types of integrins recognize the tripeptide sequence arginine-glycine-aspartic acid (RGD). To explore the spatial requirements of the pharmacophore for receptor selectivity and high activity, a new procedure, spatial screening, was used. The procedure is based on the experience that the conformation of small cyclic peptides is mainly determined by the chirality of the amino acids (and glycine or proline). For example, cyclic pentapeptides with one d and four l amino acids prefer a II'/ conformation. The sequence RGDFV was shifted around this spatial II'/ template by synthesis of five peptides in which one of the amino acids was used in d-configuration. It turned out that cyclo(-RGDfV-) is a selective inhibitor for the v3 integrin, which is strongly expressed in cancer cells. Systematic variations with different turn mimetics, retro-inverso structures, modified peptide bonds and sugar amino acids are discussed.  相似文献
