One annulus formed on the scales of farmed red porgy Pagrus pagrus each year during March and one opaque zone on the otoliths during June. Scales proved to be more sensitive than otoliths in recording the life history of the red porgy. A false annulus (ring of capture) was observed on the scales of the 0+ age group, but not on the otoliths. A gradual lengthening of the period of annulus formation was observed, from the younger to the older fish. The annulus formation in fish older than 2+ was less synchronized, due to the aquaculture conditions. Scales were more accurate than otoliths in annuli formation. A high percentage of missing or additional opaque zones were observed on otoliths of older fish. These irregularities were related to fish maturation and/or farming conditions. Farmed fish grew three times as fast as the wild fish.  相似文献

真鲷自然群体和人工繁殖群体的遗传多样性   总被引:39,自引:3,他引:39  
采用RAPD技术对真鲷野生群体及人工繁殖群体各23个个体进行了DNA多态性检测。实验选取OPK组16个10 bp随机引物用于两群体的遗传多样性分析。在野生群体和人工繁殖群体中分别获得131和123条扩增片段,两群体的多态片段比例分别为62.60%和54.47%,平均杂合度分别为0.4786和0.3633,可见真鲷野生群体及人工繁殖群体的遗传多样性较为丰富,在选择育种和遗传改良方面具有较大的潜力。人工繁殖群体的多态片段比例和平均杂合度都低于野生群体,意味着在生产过程中要采取行之有效的管理保护措施以避免或减少遗传多样性水平的降低,确保真鲷增养殖业的可持续发展。  相似文献

The present study was undertaken to establish the normal, healthy features of morphological structures at various developmental stages as achieved under well-defined environmental culture conditions (temperature between 16 and 21°C, salinity 36 ppt, pH around 7.6, and oxygen saturation over 95%) common in aquaculture of the species. The pectoral fin supports began to develop at 2.90 mm total length (TL), followed by those of dorsal fins at 5.5 mm TL, caudal fins at 5.6 mm TL, pelvic fins at 5.9 mm TL and anal fins at 6.0 mm TL. The pelvic fins appeared fully at 7.4 mm TL. Development of dorsal lepidotrichia was first observed at 6.9 mm TL, attaining their final number at 7.6 mm TL. The dorsal spines first appeared at 6.5 mm TL and were complete at 7.4 mm TL. The anal lepidotrichia appeared during the development phase from 6.8 to 8.6 mm TL. At 5.6 mm TL, the upward flexion of the urostyle was initiated. The caudal lepidotrichia formed within the primordial fin at 5.6 mm TL and reached the final count at 7.4 mm TL. The caudal dermatotrichia first appeared at 7.3 mm TL and all forms were observed by 15.5 mm TL. The development pattern of fin supports found in Pagrus pagrus is quite similar to that described for other Sparid species.  相似文献

Otolith shape analysis is a powerful method for fish stock identification. We compared the otolith shape of Pagrus pagrus (Linnaeus 1758) along with its distribution in four south-western Atlantic regions where it is commercially fished: Rio de Janeiro, Rio Grande do Sul in southern Brazil, the Argentine-Uruguayan Common Fishing Zone (UA) and the Argentinian Exclusive Fishing Zone (AR). Otolith shapes were compared by Elliptical Fourier and Wavelet coefficients among specimens in a size range with similar otoliths, morphometric parameters and ages. Four potential stocks were identified: one in the AR, a second along the UA which included specimens from southern Brazil with well-marked opaque bands in its otoliths (MRS), the third in southern Brazil with faint or absent opaque bands in its otoliths (FRS) and the fourth along Rio de Janeiro. The difference in the otolith shape among regions followed differences reported using other stock identification techniques. The similarity between otoliths from UA and MRS (ANOVA-like, P > 0.01) can be explained by seasonal short-range migrations. Otoliths shape differences between MRS and FRS (ANOVA-like, P < 0.01) suggest that P. pagrus does not form a homogeneous group in southern Brazil.  相似文献

A partial alpha-amylase cDNA was isolated from red porgy (Pagrus pagrus, Teleostei: Sparidae) and its tissue specific expression during larval development was examined. The cDNA was 949 bp long and showed 90% identity with other fish amylases. A 545 bp fragment was used to study amylase expression using in situ hybridization and RT-PCR techniques. Both methods showed a similar pattern: high and relatively constant expression for the first 30 days after hatching (dah), subsequently decreasing until the end of the experiment at 60 dah. The goal of this work was to extend the existing knowledge of the functionality of larval fish digestive systems and to provide new information about alpha-amylase gene expression.  相似文献

Red porgy is a candidate species for marine aquaculture diversification. The objective of the present study was to describe the osteological development in this species and the occurrence of skeletal deformities in relation to the intensification of the rearing system. Fish samples were periodically collected along the development from hatching to juveniles (95 days after hatching). Osteological development and the presence of skeleton abnormalities were evaluated. Larvae reared under S‐IS showed a better growth in terms of total length in comparison with IS reared ones. Regarding to osteological development for red porgy, this was similar between fish from both culture systems, but differing in timing of apparition and ossification of skeletal elements. X‐ray studies revealed a high number of fish with skeletal deformities (Semi‐intensive: 38.8%; Intensive: 46.5%), but no significant effect of the rearing technique on the incidence of deformities such as lordosis or fused vertebrae was found. However, cranial abnormalities and kyphosis incidences were significantly higher in intensive system cultured red porgy. These results, suggest a relationship among rearing technique, osteological development and the apparition of certain deformities.  相似文献

The present study describes the osteological development and the occurrence of skeletal deformities in red porgy Pagrus pagrus larvae in relation to the intensification of the rearing system. Eggs obtained from natural spawning were cultured under two different rearing systems: intensive (100 eggs l?1) in 2000 l and semi‐intensive (mesocosm) system (5 eggs l?1) in 40 000 l conico‐cylindrical tanks. Fish samples were periodically collected along the development from hatching to juveniles at 95 days post hatching (dph). Osteological development, meristic counts and the presence of skeletal deformities were evaluated. Despite the external appearance of the juveniles being similar to wild standards, X‐ray studies revealed a high number of fish (semi‐intensive: 37·8%; intensive: 45·5%) with skeletal deformities. Regardless of the rearing system, no significant interaction was found between the per cent of the most common deformities, axial deviations (lordosis and presence of fused vertebrae). Cranial deformities and kyphosis incidences, however, were significantly higher in intensively cultured P. pagrus. Also, the fused vertebrae in these fish were located mainly in the caudal area instead of pre‐haemal area for semi‐intensively reared P. pagrus. Moreover, a significant interaction was found between the total number of vertebrae and the type of rearing system used; fish from the intensive system showing a higher number of fish with an extra vertebrae (10 abdominal + 15 caudal). Present results suggest a relationship among feeding sequence, osteological development and deformity incidence and location in P. pagrus larvae.  相似文献

We investigated the effect of copper (Cu) on circadian rhythms in red seabream, Pagrus major, under various concentrations of Cu (10, 20, 30 and 40 μg/L). To examine variability in circadian rhythms, we measured changes in the period 2 (Per2), cryptochrome 1 (Cry1), serotonin and arylalkylamine N-acetyltransferase (AANAT2) proteins. We found that circadian rhythm-related plasma proteins were significantly lower in a high-Cu environment (30–40 μg/L) than in low-Cu concentration (0, 10, or 20 μg/L). Our results indicate that environmental Cu at concentrations greater than 30 μg/L can have deleterious effects on fish circadian rhythms.  相似文献

Red porgy Pagrus pagrus from the north-eastern, north-western and south-western Atlantic were found to be genetically distinct as determined by mitochondrial DNA analysis. The redbanded seabream Pagrus auriga (Teleostei, Sparidae) is a species of a high commercial value in Spain. There is currently little information available about the genetic characteristics of both wild and cultured populations. In this survey, we have developed eight polymorphic microsatellites for the redbanded seabream using an enriched genome library protocol. All of them were polymorphic in the 64 individuals tested, 22 of which were wild specimens, and 42 were individuals from a captive reproductive broodstock. These markers can potentially be useful tools for use in population genetic studies.  相似文献

Changes in reproductive condition in the New Zealand snapper Pagrus auratus (Bloch & Schneider) were monitored in a wild population over three successive years. Recrudescence occurred in spring with spawning beginning in October and continuing for 3 to 5 months. The initiation of spawning varied by up to 3 weeks and was associated with sea surface temperatures of 15–16° C. Theconclusion of spawning was associated with temperatures of 19–21° C but showed greater interannual variation than the onset of spawning. Changes in the gonadosomatic index were accompanied by parallel changes in hepatosomatic index in females but not males, reflecting the role of the liver in vitellogenesis in females.  相似文献

本研究以酪蛋白分解物为蛋白源配制三种微粒子饲料MD-S、MD-T和MD-U对真鲷开口仔鱼进行饲养试验。以MD-S的配方为基准,MD-T采用粉状大豆卵磷脂和麸质代替液状大豆卵磷脂;MD-U则另外添加0.1%的肽酶。结果表明,微粒子饲料在水中浸泡15min后,MD-T的溶出率(35.5%)低于MD-S(46.8%)和MD-U(45.8%);实验结束时(20日龄),仔鱼的成活率以生物饵料(轮虫)组为最高(86.3%),其次是MD-T组为20.7%,显著高于(P<0.05)MD-S组(13.3%)和MD-U组(13.6%);生物饵料组的仔鱼全长(6.14±0.49mm)显著大于微粒子饲料组(4.23±0.30mm~4.46±0.30mm),各微粒子饲料组之间仔鱼的全长并不存在显著差异(P>0.05)。在孵化后第12d,微粒子饲料组的仔鱼肠上皮细胞发育良好,但至孵化后第18d,仔鱼肠上皮细胞大部分萎缩、并发生脱落。鱼体的蛋白质、DNA与RNA日间增长率微粒子饲料MD-T组高于MD-S和MD-U组,但都低于生物饵料组。由此可见,微粒子饲料中添加肽酶并无助真鲷仔鱼对其消化吸收;可是,使用粉状大豆卵磷脂与麸质代替液状卵磷脂能增强微粒子饲料的黏合性,可减少其营养成分的溶出率,从而提高微粒子饲料的饲育效果。  相似文献

Ontogenetic changes in the relationship between resting rate of oxygen consumption and wet body mass were examined at 20° C with the sea bream Pagrus major ranging from 0.00020 g (weight just after hatching) to 270 g (weight at 530 days old). There was a triphasic relationship between oxygen consumption of an individual fish M (μl min−1) and body mass W (g). During a very early stage (weight 0.00020–0.00025 g), corresponding to the pre-larval stage and with the transitional period to the post-larval stage, there was no substantial change in body mass. The mass–specific metabolic rate M/W (μl g−1 min 1) showed no clear relationship to body mass as expressed by the equation M/ W =4.86 + 1.47 D , where D is age in days. During the post-larval stage (weight 0.00031–0.005 g), M/W remained almost constant independent of body mass following the expression M = 12.5 W0 .949. During the juvenile and later stages (weight 0.005–270 g), M/ W decreased with increasing body mass following the expression M = 6.3 W 0.821 which is significantly different from the expression for the post-larval stage ( P < 0.001). Ontogenetic changes in the metabolism-body mass relationship are discussed from the viewpoint of relative growth of organs with different metabolic activities.  相似文献

从真鲷(Pagrus major)肝脏通过简并引物PCR克隆解偶联蛋白2(UCP2)cDNA部分序列。该片段长674bp,编码224个氨基酸残基。推测的此部分氨基酸序列包含线粒体载体蛋白的特征结构,并与其它脊椎动物UCP2氨基酸序列同源性在72.8%以上。对变温动物色类UCP2组织表达调控研究表明:与哺乳类UCP2基因不同,真鲷UCP2基因在肝脏大量表达,而在腹腔肠系膜脂肪组织则仅有痕迹量表达,两者表达水平相差20倍以上。饲料中添加10%绿鳕油或48h饥饿对真鲷肝脏UCP2基因的表达水平均无显著影响,表明UCP2基因在脂肪含量高的鱼类肝脏表达十分稳定,为维持其基本功能所必需。真鲷肝脏和腹腔肠系膜脂肪组织UCP2基因表达水平的强烈反差,与鱼类这两种贮脂器官完全不同的氧化活性相一致[动物学报49(1):110—117,2003]。  相似文献

For two protogynous hermaphrodite fish species, the performance of visual gonad analysis techniques was evaluated to determine when the use of macroscopic methods was sufficient and when microscopic techniques were necessary. Simple macroscopic gonad analysis was found to be a powerful tool for distinguishing sex and whether or not females were spawning capable or ripe for black sea bass Centropristis striata (n = 1443) and red porgy Pagrus pagrus (n = 980), often producing results that were in close agreement with more complex and expensive microscopic techniques. Estimates of key reproductive variables, such as size‐dependent sex‐change ogives, spawning season duration, spawning fraction and batch number, were also very similar or equal between methods. Apparent seasonal spawning activity was also predicted similarly by each method and the patterns were highly correlated with seasonal patterns in gonado‐somatic indices. In contrast, distinguishing between immature females and those that were mature, but inactive, proved difficult when using macroscopic methods and, in these cases, predictions often differed from those produced microscopically. In turn, maturity ogives differed significantly between methods for C. striata (maturity ogives could not be generated for P. pagrus as nearly all fish encountered were mature). Agreement rates among male phases were also very low. Macroscopic methods were able to identify signs of sex transition in very advanced specimens, but early signs were only evident microscopically. While much more detail is visible microscopically, here several population‐scale parameters important for fisheries management were estimated equally well with the unaided eye for C. striata and P. pagrus. For comprehensive, fishery‐independent surveys and long‐term research programmes in particular, determining when microscopic techniques are and are not necessary can greatly improve efficiency and reduce costs without compromising data quality.  相似文献

Totals of 2.67 x 105 and 7.56 x 105 juvenile red sea bream of three size groups (10, 20 and 40 mm t.l.) marked with a fluorescent substance in the otolith were released in News Bay, Oita Prefecture, Japan, in July 1987 and June 1988, respectively; the aim was to estimate growth and mortality of different developmental stages.
Of fish released in 1987 and 1988, 10 618 and 4413, respectively were recaptured during those two years. Released fish remained in the bay until the end of summer, and afterwards migrated out towards open waters. Fish of the 40-mm group released in 1987 grew to over 200 mm t.l. in one year. Mean growth rate for 19 days after release was higher in the 40-mm group (0.87 mm day−1) than in the 20-mm group (0.74mm day−1). Survival rates over 19 days were 59.0 and 10.1 % for 40-mm and 20-mm fish, respectively, in 1987, and those over 30 days were 69.2, 3.3 and 0.0% for 40-mm, 20-mm and 10-mm fish, respectively, in 1988.
Cannibalism was indicated by the presence of marked otoliths for 20-mm fish in the stomachs of a few 40-mm individuals recaptured 2 days after release. Size-dependent growth and size-selective mortality were both noted in juvenile red sea bream, i.e. the relative size differential between larger and smaller individuals was maintained in the period between marking and recapture, and mortality was inversely proportional to size.  相似文献
