A dichloromethane extract of the triterpenoids from seeds of the Neem tree (Azadirachta indica) can be fractionated rapidly and with economic use of solvents using the Biotage™ flash chromatography system. The fractions can be analysed by thin layer chromatography (TLC), or quantitatively, by supercritical fluid chromatography or high performance liquid chromatography (HPLC), for the determination of 11 tetranortriterpenoids, including the natural insecticide azadirachtin. After a second pass through the Biotage flash column, pure compounds, including azadirachtin and salannin can be obtained directly, although these compounds comprise less than 0.3% of the total mass of the seeds extracted and are present in a complex mixture of similar substances. The seeds of Citrus reticulata afforded the new limonoid derivative, isolimonexic acid methyl ether, in addition to the previously isolated limonin, deacetylnomilin, obacunone and ichangin. Five limonoids were isolated from the root bark of Dictamnus angustifolius G. Don. Their structures were determined as fraxinellone, obacunone, limonin, limonin diosphenol, and dictamdiol respectively, on the basis of their spectral data and chemical methods. Phytochemical survey of stems and leaves of the South Brazilian endemic Raulinoa echinata Cowan, Rutaceae led to the isolation of five limonoid derivatives: the widespread limonin, limonexic acid, kihadalactone B, a methoxylated limonexic acid derivative and a degraded limonoid structurally related to fraxinellone. The two latter compounds have been isolated for the first time. These compounds displayed weak inhibitory activity when assayed in vitro against trypomastigote forms of Trypanosoma cruzi. A new andirobin, thaimoluccensin A (1), and two new phragmalin-type limonoids, thaimoluccensins B (2) and C (3), were isolated from seeds of a Thai mangrove plant, Xylocarpus moluccensis, together with eight known compounds. The structures of these compounds were elucidated on the basis of spectroscopic data. Only 7-deacetylgedunin (7), a gedunin-type limonoid, exhibited significant inhibitory activity against nitric oxide production from activated macrophages with IC50 value less than 10 μM, suggesting that the compound has anti-inflammatory activity. 相似文献

Four new limonoids, azadiraindins A–D ( 1 – 4 , resp.), together with seven known analogs, were isolated from the MeOH extract of Azadirachta indica. The structures of 1 – 4 were elucidated by NMR and MS spectroscopic analyses, and the relative configuration of 1 was determined by single‐crystal X‐ray crystallography. The compounds isolated in comparatively large amount were evaluated for their antifeedant activities against Plutella xylostella; the antifeedant rate of 10 was 90.6% and the corrected mortality of 8 was 79.2%. 相似文献
