分别采用水丝蚓(Limnodrilus sp.)、卤虫无节幼体(Artemia nauplii)、枝角类(Moina sp.)和人工饲料饲养西伯利亚鲟仔鱼30 d,研究不同开口饵料对西伯利亚鲟仔鱼生长、存活率和体成分的影响.结果表明:卤虫无节幼体为西伯利亚鲟最适开口饵料,仔鱼的存活率最高(96.67%); 投喂水丝蚓组生长速度最快;而人工饲料组生长速度明显低于其他组,且成活率最低.不同开口饵料组间仔鱼体成分差异显著,人工饲料组水分含量最高,且粗蛋白和粗灰分含量最低.采用卤虫无节幼体为西伯利亚鲟仔鱼开口饵料,然后采用水丝蚓进行强化培育,能获得较好的生长速度和存活率.  相似文献

The aim of this study was to evaluate the potential of a compound diet as a live prey substitute for feeding European sea bass larvae ( Dicentrarchus labrax L.). The effect of a commercial diet (Nippai ML feed) and live prey ( Artemia nauplii) on tryptic enzyme activity, protein content, growth (standard length) and survival rates of sea bass larvae were tested during a 27-day rearing experiment. Sea bass larvae were divided into two groups. The live food group (control group) was fed exclusively on newly hatched Artemia nauplii (Inve AF grade), the test group was fed exclusively with the compound diet from day 15 onwards. As trypsin has been demonstrated to be a useful indicator for evaluating digestibility of food and the nutritional condition of fish larvae, individual tryptic enzyme activity was determined in both feeding groups. Larvae older than 14 days after hatching and fed on live food showed a significantly higher tryptic enzyme activity than larvae fed the compound diet. A similar relationship between tryptic activity and standard length in both test groups was detected only in small larvae (standard length < 7 mm). The usefulness of proteolytic enzyme activity measurements in larval fish research, as well as its use in aquaculture nutrition research, was confirmed. Protein content, increase in length and survival rates of the sea bass larvae were additionally determined in order to evaluate an influence on the diet. The protein content of larvae fed the Artemia nauplii was higher and the growth of larvae fed the compound diet was reduced. Larval mortality was not affected by the diet given.  相似文献

饵料对鱼类生长发育和繁殖具有重要影响。为了筛选稀有鲫(Gobiocypris rarus)幼鱼和成鱼阶段最适投喂方式, 实验将出膜5周末(日龄为35 day after hatching)的幼鱼随机分为5个组: A组投喂丰年虫; B组每周前6d (days)投喂丰年虫, 后1d投喂商业化微颗粒S3饲料; C组每周前3.5d投喂丰年虫, 后3.5d投喂饲料; D组每周前1d投喂丰年虫, 后6d投喂饲料; E组一直投喂饲料; 各组均采用饱食投喂策略。每2周统计生长、存活指标, 直至第21周(147 dah), 在17周(119 dah)取材用于观察性腺发育程度。在产卵后统计各组产卵量、孵化率和子代畸形率。结果显示: (1)E组存活率和特定生长率显著低于其他组(P<0.05); (2)从产卵量、孵化率和子代畸形率上看, B组产卵量显著高于其他组(P<0.05); (3)从性腺组织学上看, 不同投喂方法对精巢的成熟度无显著影响, 但投喂过丰年虫的稀有鲫卵巢发育成熟度显著优于E组。研究结果提示:适量加入丰年虫比单一投喂活饵或饲料更有利于稀有鲫的生长和繁殖。建议在标准化养殖过程中, 幼鱼和成鱼期的稀有鲫采取丰年虫与饲料投喂频次比值为6﹕1的方式最佳。  相似文献

The feasibility of a short-term ammonia toxicity test as an evaluation criterion for larval quality was assessed in three trials. In each one, Macrobrachium rosenbergii larvae originating from the same spawn were nutritionally differentiated in two groups by feeding them either a nutrient-rich (Artemia nauplii enriched for 24 h with n-3 highly unsaturated fatty acids (HUFA) and ascorbic acid (AA)) or a nutrient-poor diet (Artemia nauplii starved for 24 h). Throughout their development, larvae from both treatments were exposed during 24 h to six concentrations of total ammonia (NH4++NH3) and a control (no ammonia added). Based on mortality rates, the median lethal concentration for 50% of the population (LC50) was estimated. As expected from earlier work, larvae fed the optimal diet presented higher n-3 HUFA and AA contents as well as higher growth and metamorphosis rates. From the moment the effect of diet quality was analytically detectable in the tissues of the larvae, the ammonia test was able to distinguish both groups of larvae. Differences in ammonia tolerance were observed as early as larval stage 4 and remained evident throughout larval development. The short-term ammonia toxicity test proved to be a valuable, sensitive and reproducible criterion for the establishment of larval quality.  相似文献

Appetite and growth rate were measured in Sparus aurata fed ad-libitum a basal diet supplemented with either a synthetic mixture of chemicals based upon the analysis of Mylilus edulis , muscle extract, or newly hatched Artemia saline nauplii. These components were tested for their feeding attraction potency, and were added to the basal diet at three concentrations each; 5, 10 and 20 g kg-1 dry diet.
Appetite, which was defined as ad-libitum food intake, was significantly affected by the type and concentration of attractant. When the basal diet was supplemented with 10 or 20 g kg-1 of the synthetic Mytilus edulis muscle extract, it was associated with significantly higher appetite than the basal diet only or the basal diet supplemented with any level of newly hatched Artemia salina nauplii. On the other hand, relative growth rate under the same conditions did not completely conform to the results with appetite. The difference between appetite and growth rate as criteria for the evaluation of food attractants is discussed.  相似文献

African catfish, Clarias gariepinus (B.), is one of the promising freshwater fish species in African aquaculture but the expansion of its farming needs more production of its larvae. The use of live food organisms at first feeding for larvae is still obligatory. That increases the cost of larvae production. Hence, the incorporating of exogenous enzymes especially protease in artificial microdiets may provide affordable alternatives for enhancing the larvae performance. The present study was carried out to evaluate the growth and survival of larvae or fingerlings of African catfish fed artificial diets incorporated with different protease levels. Four artificial diets were formulated and enriched with protease enzyme at levels of 0.0, 750, 1,000, and 1,250 unit/kg diet; after that diets were made into crumbles (100–200 µm diameter). After absorption of the yolk sac, diets were offered to fish larvae (3.6 ± 0.2 mg) in triplicates as a starter feed up to apparent satiation every two hours for 30 days. In another treatment, fish larvae were fed on newly hatched Artemia nauplii (2,500 Artemia/L) as a starter food. In another experiment, African catfish fingerlings (10.1 ± 1.6 g) were fed on the same diets up to satiation twice a day for 2 months. It was noticed that the dietary protease improved larval growth and survival but not as Artemia nauplii did where fish larvae fed on Artemia nauplii showed highest growth and survival followed by those fed a diet enriched with 1,250 unit/kg diet of protease. The mortality of larvae fed protease‐enriched diets as well as the control diet was occurred mostly at the first week reaching its maximum at the third week. The poor growth was observed with fish larvae fed the control diet. Meanwhile, catfish fingerlings fed protease‐enriched diets showed higher growth over those fed the control diet. The larvae survival (11.0%–41.7%) was enhanced by increasing protease levels and it was lower than that of fingerlings (95.6%–100.0%). Furthermore, protein retention and digestibility were significantly improved with protease supplementation over the control diet especially at a level of 1,000 unit/kg diet. As compared with the previous studies, live food should be used in larvae rearing for the first week after that a starter diet enriched with protease at levels of 1,250 unit/kg diet should be used. In case of fish fingerlings, the dry diets should be enriched with 1,100 unit/kg diet to improve diet digestibility and subsequently enhance their growth.  相似文献

Positive results were obtained with nested white spot syndrome virus (WSSV) diagnostic PCR performed on 5 commercial brands of dry-packed Artemia cysts using several WSSV genomic sequence-specific primers. In 2 brands, PCR and nucleotide sequence analysis found C-->T and C-->G point mutations in the pms 146 WSSV amplicon, but in all 5 brands, the nucleotide sequences that were successfully amplified by the rrl, rr2 and tk-tmk gene-specific primer sets were identical to those of Penaeus monodon WSSV. However, despite the inarguable presence of WSSV or WSSV-like template DNA, we were unable to detect WSSV by PCR in hatched nauplii derived from PCR-positive cysts or in P. monodon postlarvae fed Artemia nauplii hatched from such cysts. Most simply, these results suggested that the cysts were externally contaminated with WSSV or WSSV-like template material that was removed during hatching and washing of the nauplii. Given the small sequence variations found, it may also have been a variety of WSSV non-infectious for P. monodon or Artemia and derived from other crustaceans or arthropods in the Artemia environment. However, we could not establish this conclusively and a small possibility remained that the PCR template in these tests was derived from WSSV template present internally in the cysts and derived from infected Artemia adults. However small, this possibility must be vigorously tested, given the impact that a positive outcome could have on the shrimp industry.  相似文献

Two feeding experiments were conducted to evaluate the growth and survival rates of tench Tinca tinca L. larvae when initially fed with a combination of three different brands of Artemia nauplii under two conditions: (A) in the laboratory and (B) on a commercial farm. At the same time, a protozoan culture of the freshwater ciliate Colpoda cucullus was additionally tested in one of the experiments to possibly enhance the initial hunting behaviour of the larvae. The larvae were fed every 4 h from the onset of exogenous feeding up to 14 days of age. Three types of commercial Artemia products, mainly differing in size and high unsaturated fatty acid (HUFA) content, were used. One group was fed with C. cucullus as a starter. The different combinations of Artemia nauplii were used to evaluate possible effects on larval growth. The final growth at 26.3 °C, expressed in length and weight, did not show significant differences, suggesting the use of the most economically feasible Artemia strain studied. The experiments confirmed that using smaller prey during the first 2 days of feeding increases their survival rate, although the mean final survival rate was high (89%). In the experiment carried out at the commercial fish farm facilities, experimental groups were also fed with Artemia nauplii, using the EG type either enriched or not enriched with HUFA. Again, one of the groups was offered the ciliate C. cucullus as initial feed. Final growth showed significant differences when using Colpoda culture as a starter feed, although this test resulted in the lowest survival rate (69%), indicating that further studies on the management of its culture should be undertaken to improve the applicability of the technique. A postprandial increase in ammonia nitrogen excretion and oxygen consumption rates was observed in juvenile pike fed a natural diet or an artificial dry diet. Specific growth rate of natural diet fed pike (2.4%) was lower than that of pike fed the artificial diet (3.1%). Fifty per cent of ingesta was evacuated within 5–6 h in pike of 25 mg body weight and 9–10 h in those weighing 150mg. Daily nitrogen excretion rates were related to body weight. Respiratory quotient and energy retention efficiency were affected by the nature of the diet ingested by pike. Parameters of the energy balance (losses, retention, increment due to feeding) were related to energy intake.  相似文献

为获知微颗粒饲料中添加精胺对半滑舌鳎仔稚鱼肠道发育的影响,试验以添加0,0.10%,0.33%精胺的微颗粒饲料(F1、F2、F3)和活饵料卤虫(F4)饲喂初始体长为2 cm左右的半滑舌鳎稚鱼。养殖28d后结果表明,卤虫组(F4)的特定生长率最高,饲料组中F2组特定生长率要显著高于F1和F3组(P0.05)。F3组的存活率仅为60.27%,显著低于其他各组(P0.05)。消化酶活力测定结果中,F2组在14d和28d时都含有较高的碱性磷酸酶比活力和亮氨酸氨基肽酶比活力,较低的亮氨酸-丙氨酸肽酶比活力。卤虫组的肠道发育情况最好,微绒毛长度显著大于其他各组(P0.05);黏膜厚度略小于F2组,但是没有显著性差异(P0.05);饲料组中F2组微绒毛长度和黏膜厚度都显著大于F1和F3组(P0.05)。研究表明,在微颗粒饲料中添加0.10%的精胺(F2组)对半滑舌鳎稚鱼肠道发育有促进作用。    相似文献

为对水产养殖育苗实践中活体饵料西藏卤虫(Antemia tibetiana)的应用提供参考, 研究不同钠盐对孵化率、无节幼体在淡水中存活时间的影响, 分析NaCl浓度、孵化液pH和淡水水温等因素对西藏卤虫无节幼体在淡水中存活时间, 记录各组无节幼体在淡水中50%和100%死亡所需时间。结果表明, 不同钠盐显著影响西藏卤虫的孵化率, Na2SO4组显著高于NaCl组(P<0.05), Na2CO3组显著低于NaCl组(P<0.01), 其他各组之间差异不显著(P>0.05)。以NaCl组孵化出的无节幼体在淡水中存活时间最长, 50%存活时间达13h, Na2SO4组孵化的无节幼体存活时间显著低于NaCl组(P<0.05), 而Na2CO3和NaNO3组存活时间极显著低于NaCl组(P<0.01), 在Na2CO3中孵化的无节幼体死亡速度最快。孵化率高的实验组存活时间不是最长, 显示孵化率与存活率之间并无关联性。随着孵化液NaCl浓度升高, 无节幼体在淡水中存活时间逐渐延长, 至35‰时达到最高, 但当孵化液NaCl浓度达40‰时, 存活时间开始下降。随着孵化液pH从6.5—8.0逐渐升高, 存活时间逐渐延长, 至pH8.0时达到最高, 孵化液pH继续升高, 存活时间逐渐缩短, 到pH10.0时, 50%存活时间只有3.54h, 死亡速度最快, pH8.0组与其他实验组相比较差异显著(P<0.05)。在5℃淡水中无节幼体50%死亡时间为18.54h, 显著长于15℃水温组, 当水温≥20℃时, 所有组别50%存活时间短于水温15℃组, 差异显著(P<0.05)。孵化时钠盐的种类、NaCl浓度、孵化液pH和淡水水温对西藏卤虫无节幼体在淡水中存活时间有显著影响。  相似文献

Body content of beta-hydroxybutyrate, and individual dry mass, carbon content, and survival rate, were studied in developing nauplii of the brine shrimp Artemia franciscana K. from hatching to 96-97 h post hatching at 27 +/- 1 degrees C. The effect of two diets was studied in the experiment: Super Selco (SS) with a high lipid content; and Protein Selco (PS) with a high protein content. A starving group (S) was used as reference. The level of beta-hydroxybutyrate at hatching was 0.6 nmol.ind-1; it increased to 1.0-1.5 nmol.ind-1 in the SS- and S-groups, while in the PS-group it remained stable between 0.6-0.8 nmol.ind-1. At 60-80 h post hatch in the SS- and S-groups, the levels of beta-hydroxybutyrate were similar to the initial levels. The survival rate remained higher than 95% until 24 h post hatching in all groups. At the end of the experiment, the survival rate was 63% in the PS-group, 13% in the S-group and 3% in the SS-group. The Artemia nauplii individual dry mass and carbon content remained relatively stable in the SS-group; both parameters showed a significant increase in the PS-group and a significant decrease in the S-group. The results suggest that Artemia nauplii utilise ketone bodies as a fuel during development and growth, but that ketone catabolism may be overloaded by excessive lipid feeding resulting in increased mortality and possibly a ketotic acidosis.  相似文献

Small groups of juvenile Atlantic cod, Gadus morhua L., were kept at 14°C in through-flow tanks and were fed known quantities of a compounded diet of natural food. The cod were fed single and multiple meals with ration size in the range 0.5 to 4.1% of total wet fish body weight. Ammonia production in each feeding experiment was monitored continuously.
For single-meal experiments, significant relationships were derived between ration size and (a) total ammonia excreted, (b) total exogenous ammonia excreted above endogenous excretion levels, (c) duration of the elevated phase of ammonia excretion, (d) maximum rate of ammonia excretion, and (e) time delay after feeding to reach maximum rate of ammonia excretion. Relationships between nitrogen loss as ammonia and nitrogen intake were examined and estimates of endogenous excretion rate and maintenance ration made.
Repetitive feeding resulted in cyclical variation in ammonia excretion. At the lowest ration size, ammonia excretion rates had nearly returned to the pre-feeding level within 24 h. At higher feeding levels, the effect of each successive meal tended to be cumulative, resulting in increasingly higher ammonia excretion rates which only stabilized towards the end of the experiments.  相似文献

Urea concentration and urease activity in the midgut content were compared between larvae of the silkworm, Bombyx mori fed an artificial diet and those fed fresh mulberry leaves. A considerable amount of urea was found in the midgut content of the both larvae, however it was significantly lower in the larvae fed fresh mulberry leaves than in the larvae fed the artificial diet; average urea concentrations in the midgut content of the larvae fed fresh mulberry leaves and the artificial diet were 2.9 and 4.6 &mgr;mol/g, respectively. Urea in the midgut content seems to be secreted from the insect itself since the amount of urea in both diets were negligibly small. Urease activity was detected only in the midgut content of the larvae fed fresh mulberry leaves but not in other tissues of the larvae. On the other hand, no urease activity was detected in the midgut content of the larvae fed the artificial diet. Subsequently, to elucidate the role of mulberry leaf urease in the midgut lumen, larvae that had been reared on the artificial diet were switched to fresh mulberry leaves. The diet switch caused a rapid decrease in urea concentration in the midgut content and an increase in ammonia concentration in the midgut content, suggesting that secreted urea could be hydrolyzed to ammonia by mulberry leaf urease in the midgut lumen. Furthermore, to investigate the physiological significance of mulberry leaf urease on urea metabolism of the silkworm, (15)N-urea was injected into the hemocoel, and after 12 h the larvae were dissected for (15)N analysis. A considerable amount of (15)N was found to be incorporated into the silk-protein of the larvae fed fresh mulberry leaves, but there was little incorporation of (15)N into the silk-protein of the larvae fed the artificial diet. These data indicate that urea is converted into ammonia by the action of mulberry leaf urease in the midgut lumen and used as a nitrogen source in larvae fed mulberry leaves.  相似文献

The levels of poly(A) polymerase activity have been determined during Artemia early development. Poly(A) polymerase activity increases steadily during postgastrular embryonic development reaching a maximum shortly after hatching. The rise of poly(A) polymerase is concomitant with an increase in poly(A) content and with a change in the subcellular distribution of the enzyme activity, the major increase corresponding to the nuclear fraction. Only one isoenzyme of poly(A) polymerase has been identified in Artemia embryos and nauplii despite changes in enzyme levels and subcellular changes during early development. Poly(A) polymerase is not associated with the cytoplasmic poly(A)-containing ribonucleoprotein particles stored in Artemia dormant embryos.  相似文献

To investigate involvement of the central nervous system in the ontogeny of behaviour, diets of differing quality were used to rear yellowtail Seriola quinqueradiata larvae and juveniles. Artemia nauplii enriched with oleic acid (OA), eicosapentaenoic acid (EPA), or two different concentration levels of docosahexaenoic acid (DHA) were fed to yellowtail larvae (LT 7 mm; 13 days old) for 12 days, and their behavioural development was analysed together with growth, survival, activity and fatty acid composition. Yellowtail fed with DHA–enriched Artemia showed mutual attraction behaviour at 11 mm LT, while those fed with OA– or EPA–enriched Artemia did not show this behaviour at the same size. While fish in the OA group showed poor growth, survival and activity index, fish in the EPA group were similar to the two DHA groups. In addition, most fish tested, including the OA group, showed clear optokinetic responses. Fatty acid composition of the diet was reflected in that of the fish body. Therefore, dietary DHA in the larval stage is considered to be essential for the development of schooling behaviour in the yellowtail.  相似文献

Two 60‐day experiments were carried out on tench (Tinca tinca L.) from day 5 post‐hatch. Density was 20 larvae L?1 and temperature 24 ± 0.5°C. In experiment 1, Artemia nauplii were the sole food, testing nauplii amounts and feeding frequency. High survival rates (between 79.5% and 95.5%) were obtained. Growth was faster as nauplii amounts were greater; the highest growth rate (11.00), weight (265.5 mg) and Fulton’s coefficient (1.40) were obtained when fish were fed in excess once a day, without significant differences from the growth obtained by feeding in excess of eight times a day. In experiment 2, a dry diet for marine fish was tested as a replacement for Artemia nauplii, following two transition protocols, one faster than the other; high survival rates (between 77.7% and 87.1%) were again obtained. The slower transition allowed a growth rate of 10.14, length of 23.1 mm, weight of 158.3 mg and a Fulton’s coefficient of 1.28, without significant differences from the faster transition. At all stages, growth values were significantly higher from feeding nauplii in excess as the sole food, but the required nauplii quantity was six times higher than the amount supplied to the animals fed the dry diet.  相似文献

The effect of diet on the frequency of malpigmentation was investigated in laboratory-reared plaice ( Pleuronectes platessa ) fed on either enriched or unenriched Artemia salina nauplii . The juveniles fed continuously on unenriched Artemia during their larval period showed 29.0% normal pigmentation whereas those fed solely on enriched Artemia , showed 63% normal pigmentation. The possibility of a critical period for pigment development was tested by changing the diet of larvae at different ages. Results suggested that a critical period is less important than the duration of time fed on a nutritionally complete diet.  相似文献
