Two new species ofBriquetia,B. sonorae andB. inermis, are described from northern Mexico, and another species that ranges from Mexico to Bolivia is transferred into the genus asB. spicata. The genus (previously known as monotypic, Paraguayan-Brazilian) is thereby enlarged from one species to four, and its geographical and morphological limits are greatly expanded. Also, a Mexican species ofAbutilon is transferred toHochreutinera, asH. amplexifolia, enlarging that genus from one to two species. On the basis of this new information, the limits of the informalBriquetia alliance are reconsidered; it is considered to include onlyBriquetia, Dirhamphis, andBatesimalva.  相似文献

Fourteen new species ofSolanum sectionGeminata are described and illustrated. Eight of these,S. erosomarginatum, S. foetens, S. lasiocladum, S. lucens, S. ombrophilum, S. tanysepalum, S. tenuiflagellatum, andS. turgidum are from Venezuela.Solanum cucullatum andS. bellum are from Ecuador,S. abitaguense from Ecuador and northeastern Peru,S. amnicola andS. yanamonense from eastern Peru, andS. mapiricum from eastern Bolivia. Relationships of each of the species to others in its geographical area are discussed. Chromosome numbers are reported for ten of these new species.  相似文献

The genusOxytheca of western North America and temperate South America consists of seven species which are keyed, described, discussed, illustrated, and mapped. They are divided among sect.Oxytheca, sect.Acanthoscyphus stat. & comb. nov., and sect.Neoxytheca sect. nov.Oxytheca dendroidea subsp.chilensis is given as a new combination, whileO. parishii var.cienegensis andO. parishii var.goodmaniana are described as new. The history and relationships of the genus are discussed. It is retained as distinct fromEriogonum and is thought to have arisen from the larger genus nearE. spergulinum, E. parishii, andE. apiculatum in subgenusGanysma. Cytological data indicatedn= 20.  相似文献

A new species,Sphaeromeria ruthiae, from Zion National Park, and three new combinations,S. martirensis,S. compacta, andS. potentilloides var.nitrophila, are presented. Morphological and anatomical evidence is used to support the recognition ofSphaeromeria as distinct fromTanacetum.  相似文献

Information onC. arizonica, C. hapalocarpa, C. mcvaughii, C. parviflora, andC. pectinata published in a monograph of the genus in 1983 is updated. The generic affinities ofC. myriantha andC. sinaloensis are resolved, with the former placed inCarlowrightia and the latter removed to a separate genus. The new combinationC. neesiana, necessitated by conservation of the generic nameCarlowrightia, is provided for the species previously known asC. glandulosa. Two new species from western Mexico,C. fuertensis andC. huicholiana, are described, mapped, and illustrated.  相似文献

Two new species are described inArberella, one from Panama (Arberella lancifolia) and one from Bahia, Brazil (a. bahiensis), the latter representing a considerable extension of the known range of the genus.Cryptochloa decumbens, described from Panama, brings to ten the species recognized in this genus andRaddia angustifolia, from Bahia, increases to five the number of species in that genus. Each new species is fully illustrated and keyed.  相似文献

Two new monotypic genera are proposed:Karnataka, based uponSchultzia? benthamii C. B. Clarke (=K. benthamii) from southern Peninsular India andKedarnatha, based onK. sanctuarii, recently obtained from the Himalaya. Neither genus appears to be closely related to other apioid genera of our area.  相似文献
