Immunoreactive dynorphin (ir-Dyn), immunoreactive leucine-enkephalin (ir-Leu-Enk) and various other neuropeptides were measured in acid extracts of bovine adrenal medulla and isolated adrenal chromaffin cells. Their respective levels ranged as follows: Leu-Enk greater than Dyn greater than bombesin greater than vasoactive intestinal peptide (VIP) greater than neurotensin greater than substance P. Comparisons of the total catecholamine levels with the levels of Leu-Enk in both extracts gave ratios in the same order of magnitude (2600, tissue extract and 5000, cell extract). However, the catecholamine/Dyn ratio in the tissue extract (138 000) was much higher than that found in the cell extract (20 180), suggesting a possible selective degradation of Dyn in tissue extract as compared with cell extract or an induction of Dyn biosynthesis in cells which have been isolated from their natural microenvironment. Immunofluorescence staining of isolated chromaffin cell sections revealed the presence of ir-Dyn in 5 to 10% of the total cell population. To localize ir-Dyn in regard to Leu-Enk and catecholamines, adrenal chromaffin cells were separated into three populations (I, II, and III) on a stepwise bovine serum albumin (BSA) gradient. Relative high levels of ir-Dyn were measured in cell layer I (4 pmol/10(6) cells), a cell population enriched in noradrenaline. However, ir-Leu-Enk was more concentrated in cell layers II and III (5.3 and 8.3 pmol/10(6) cells), two populations enriched in adrenaline. Isolation and high pressure liquid chromatography (HPLC) analysis of adrenomedullary Dyn indicated the presence of at least five molecular forms corresponding to Dyn-(1-11), Dyn-(1-12), Dyn-(1-13), Ala-containing-Dyn-(1-13) and a nonidentified molecule eluting closely to Dyn-(1-13). These data indicate that adrenal ir-Dyn and ir-Leu-Enk have distinct cellular distributions. In addition, the identification of Dyn fragments in bovine adrenal medulla indicates that these short peptides may be considered as natural active forms of Dyn.  相似文献

The tissue content of up to eight neuropeptides, viz bombesin (BOM), cholecystokinin (CCK-8), neurotensin (NT), neuropeptide Y (NPY), peptide histidine isoleucine amide (PHI), somatostatin (SRIF), substance P (SP) and vasoactive intestinal polypeptide (VIP), in rat hypothalami removed at various times of the day, was measured using specific radioimmunoassays. There was significant variation in the content of BOM, CCK-8, NT, PHI, SP and VIP across a 24-h period. The levels of BOM, CCK-8 and NT were lowest around the onset of darkness (1900 h) and rose throughout the night to reach a peak around the time of lights on. Hypothalamic content of all eight peptides fell between 0700 h and 1300 h by an average of 45 +/- 4%. Basal release of these peptides, as well as that in the presence of 48 mM potassium (K+), was measured from hypothalami removed between 0700 and 1900 h and incubated in vitro in a CSF-like medium. Basal secretion of NT significantly increased, whilst that of CCK-8 significantly decreased over the same period. There was no significant change in the basal release of the other neuropeptides. The release in the presence of 48 mM K+ of SP decreased significantly during the day, whilst that of VIP significantly increased. There was also a significant change in the stimulated release of BOM, levels falling during the morning and rising again at 1900 h. 48 mM K+ caused a significant increase in the release of SRIF and SP at all times tested. Whilst 48 mM K+ induced a significantly higher release of CCK-8 and NT in the morning, this stimulus was ineffective in the evening. The contrary was true in the case of BOM, NPY and VIP, where a significant stimulation was induced only at 1900 h. The possible implications of these findings are discussed.  相似文献

Helical strips of pulmonary arteries from rabbits were tested for their responses to the following peptides: neuropeptide Y (NPY), vasoactive intestinal polypeptide (VIP), substance P (SP), cholecystokinin-octapeptide (CCK), somatostatin (SS), bombesin, neurotensin and gastrin. SP, in the absence of active base-tension, and NPY both induced concentration-dependent contractions, while VIP and SP, in the presence of active base-tone, and CCK induced relaxation. The pD2 (-log ED50) was in the order of NPY greater than SP and SP greater than CCK greater than VIP. SS, bombesin, NT and gastrin had no effect. These findings suggest peptidergic involvement in the vessels.  相似文献

Neurogenic mechanisms seem to play a role in the pathogenesis of chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD), as suggested by a number of in vitro data. However, few studies have investigated the presence of neuropeptides in the airways of patients with COPD, and they have yielded conflicting results. The aim of this study is to compare the expression of the neuropeptide substance P (SP), vasoactive intestinal peptide (VIP), and neuropeptide Y (NPY) in the airways of smokers with and without COPD. Surgical lung samples were obtained from 15 smokers with COPD and 16 smokers with normal lung function, who underwent lobectomy for a solitary lung carcinoma. Airway expression and distribution of SP, VIP, and NPY were identified by immunohistochemistry and analyzed by a computerized image analysis system. Compared to smokers with normal lung function, COPD patients exhibited an increased immunoreactivity for SP and VIP, paralleled by a decreased NPY expression in the epithelium and glands, and a decreased expression of all these three neuropeptides in the smooth muscle layer. Therefore, in the present study we have documented a different expression and distribution of the neuropeptides SP, VIP, and NPY in the airways of smokers with and without COPD. These findings suggest a possible involvement of such neuropeptides in the pathogenesis of some changes occurring in COPD.  相似文献

Alcoholic extracts of bovine mesenteric lymphatic vessels were assayed for the presence of SP, GRP, VIP, PHI, GIP and NT using specific radioimmunoassays. SP and GRP immunoreactivities were detected at concentrations of 190 +/- 20 and 1,000 +/- 130 pg.g-1, respectively. No significant levels of immunoreactivity were detected for any of the other peptides. SP and GRP immunoreactivities coeluted with their synthetic counterparts from both Sephadex G-50 and reversed phase HPLC columns. Synthetic SP (10(-9)-10(-7) M) and the naturally occurring analogue of GRP, bombesin (10(-9)-10(-7) M), increased spontaneous contraction rate in isolated vessel segments. This excitatory effect was not blocked by the alpha-adrenoceptor antagonist phentolamine (3 x 10(-6) M).  相似文献

The effect of substance P (SP), bombesin (BBS), somatostatin (SRIF) and neurotensin (NT) on the plasma cholesterol levels was studied in the rat. SP and BBS had no effect, but SRIF produced a significant transient hypocholesterolemia and NT a significant transient hypercholesterolemia 15 minutes after the intravenous injections. Neither SRIF nor NT influenced the rate of the 7-hydroxylation of cholesterol. The data suggest a relation of SRIF and NT to the maintenance of the plasma cholesterol concentration.  相似文献

The present investigation examined the distributions of immunoreactive neurotensin (NT), cholecystokinin octapeptide (CCK), substance P (SP), methionine enkephalin (ENK), vasoactive intestinal polypeptide (VIP), somatostatin (SS), rat neurophysin II (RNP II), vasopressin (VP), oxytocin (OXY), tyrosine hydroxylase (TH), and serotonin in the parabrachial nuclear complex (PB) of the rat. All of these substances were localized to the PB and they appeared to be chemoarchitecturally organized within the complex. The lateral subdivision (PBL) was organized medial-lateral and ventral-dorsal. Specifically NT, CCK, and SP immunoreactive fibers were found to be the most dense in the ventral aspect of the PBL. The distribution of NT-containing fibers was similar to the pattern of CCK-containing fibers and these were localized primarily to the central zone of the PBL. Immunoreactive SP fibers and cells were found in the external and internal zones ventrally and surrounding the dorsal and dorsolateral nuclei in the PBL. Somatostatin, ENK and VIP were found to be the most dense in the dorsal PBL. Serotonin- and TH-containing cells and fibers were found in both the PBL and PBM. These results, coupled with the observations of neuronal connections of the PB and the known functions of this region, underscore the potential involvement for these neuropeptides and monoamines in limbic-brainstem mechanisms of autonomic control.  相似文献

We studied the effect of vasoactive intestinal peptide (VIP), somatostatin (SOM), and substance P (SP) on IL-4-stimulated human IgE and IgG subclass production. VIP and SOM, but not SP, inhibited IgE production without affecting IgM or IgA production by mononuclear cells (MNC) from nonatopic donors from 10 pM to 10 nM. These neuropeptides also differentially modulated IgG subclass production. While IgG1 production was not affected by VIP, SOM, or SP, all of the neuropeptides enhanced IgG2 production. By contrast, SOM and SP, but not VIP, inhibited IgG3 production, whereas VIP and SP, but not SOM, enhanced IgG4 production. The effect by neuropeptides was specific since each peptide effect was specifically blocked by each antagonist. To achieve this effect, neuropeptides must be added at the start of the culture and be present throughout the entire culture period. The inhibition of IgE production was not mediated by known inhibitors of IgE production, IFN-gamma or PGE2, because the addition of anti-IFN-gamma mAb (10 micrograms/ml) or indomethacin (0.1 microM) did not overcome the inhibition of IgE production. In contrast to MNC, neuropeptides did not affect IgG subclass production in purified B cells. IgE production was not induced by IL-4 in purified B cells. Neuropeptides also failed to modulate IgG subclass production in cultures of B cells with either T cells or monocytes. However, they modulated IgE production and IgG subclass production in B cells in the presence of T cells and monocytes. In purified B cells, IL-4 plus anti-CD40 mAb induced IgE production which was not inhibited by VIP or SOM. However, VIP or SOM, but not SP, inhibited IgE production in B cells cultured with both T cells and monocytes. Finally, the mechanism of modulation of IgE and IgG4 production was dependent on IL-4-induced switching, since neuropeptides modulated IgG4 and IgE production in surface IgG4-negative (sIgG4-) and sIgE- B cells, respectively. In contrast, modulation of IgG2 and IgG3 production was not due to switching, since neuropeptides did not affect either IgG2 or IgG3 production in sIgG2- or sIgG3- B cells, respectively.  相似文献

The protective effect of capsaicin-sensitive sensory nerve (CSSN) activation was recently demonstrated in human gastric mucosa. We here examined changes in neuropeptides, specifically Substance P (SP), calcitonin-gene related peptide (CGRP) and vasoactive intestinal peptide (VIP) in patients with chronic gastritis or ulcer. Furthermore changes in neprilysin levels, which hydrolyse these neuropeptides, were determined. Gastric biopsies were obtained from both lesion- and normal-appearing mucosa of 57 patients. The presence of H. pylori infection was verified with rapid urease assay. Neuronal and non-neuronal levels of SP, VIP, CGRP and neprilysin activity were determined in freshly frozen biopsies. Immunohistochemical localization of neprilysin was performed in 30 paraffin embedded specimens. We here found that neuronal SP levels decreased significantly in normally appearing mucosa of patients with gastritis while levels of non-neuronal SP increased in diseased areas of gastritis and ulcer. The presence of H. pylori led to further decreases of SP levels. The content of VIP in both disease-involved and uninvolved mucosa, and expression of neprilysin, markedly decreased in patients with gastritis or ulcer. Since VIP, as well as SP fragments, formed following hydrolysis with neprilysin is recognized to have gastroprotective effects, decreased levels of VIP, SP and neprilysin may predispose to cellular damage.  相似文献

In vivo electron spin resonance (ESR) spectroscopy and whole body imaging were used to investigate the toxicity of biological reactions and organ specific oxidative changes associated with the development of acute asbestosis. Pathogen-free mice were exposed to 100 microg of crocidolite asbestos suspended in 50 microL of a 0.9% NaCl solution by aspiration. The bio-assay group had broncho-alveolar lavage (BAL) and serum draws performed on control and treated mice at 1, 3, and 7 days post-instillation. The ESR spectroscopic measurements and whole body imaging were performed with a separate group of mice at the same time points. Bio-assays included measurements of albumin, lactate dehydrogenase (LDH), N-acetyl-beta-D-glucoaminidase (NAG), and catalase in acellular lavage fluids, and total antioxidants status in blood serum. ESR spectroscopic and imaging measurements were performed after intraperitoneal injection of 4-hydroxy-2,2,6,6-tetramethylpiperidine-1-15N-1-oxyl (TEMPOL) or 3-carbamoylproxyl (3-CP) nitroxides at a final concentration of 344 mg/kg body weight. Albumin showed a significant increase in BAL fluid at the 3 day exposure time point. The presence of this protein in lavage fluid indicates that the gas/blood barrier has been damaged in the lung. LDH in BAL fluid also exhibited a significant increase at 3 days post-exposure, an indication of enhanced cell membrane damage in the lung. Similar results were observed for NAG, a lysosomal enzyme, implying activation of phagocytic cells. Contemporaneously with the development of acute asbestosis at day 3 post-exposure, there were significant increases in the levels of total antioxidants in the serum and catalase in the BAL fluid. Significant impairment in the ability of asbestos exposed animals to clear TEMPOL radical during acute disease progression was evident at days 1 and 3 post exposure. ESR image measurements provided information on the location and distribution of the 3-CP label within the lungs and heart of the mouse and its clearance over time. Bioassays in concert with ESR spectroscopy and imaging presented in this study provide congruent data on the early acute phase of pulmonary injury and oxidant generation in response to asbestos exposure and their decline after 7 days. The increased levels of total antioxidants in the serum and catalase in BAL fluid correlated with the reduction in the clearance rate for TEMPOL, suggesting that a change in the redox status of the lung is associated with lung injury induced by asbestos.  相似文献

Exposure of phagocytic cells to asbestos in vitro results in an augmented production of reactive oxygen metabolites and increased peroxidation of lipids. The aim of this investigation was to assess the extent of lipid peroxidation both in cells and fluid obtained from bronchoalveolar lavage (BAL), and in lungs of rats exposed to crocidolite asbestos or titanium dioxide (TiO2), a nonfibrous particulate control. In comparison to sham and TiO2-exposed rats, the BAL fluid and cells of crocidolite-exposed animals contained significantly elevated levels of malondialdehyde (MDA), a breakdown product of lipid peroxidation detected using high-pressure liquid chromatography (HPLC). In contrast, no significant differences in MDA were detected in lavaged lung tissue from these animals. Inhalation of crocidolite caused an early inflammatory response characterized by elevated numbers of polymorphonuclear leukocytes and lymphocytes, as well as enhanced total protein in BAL. Pulmonary fibrosis and increased lung hydroxyproline also were observed after 20 days of exposure. Exposure to TiO2 did not cause inflammation, pulmonary fibrosis, or elevated amounts of hydroxyproline in the lung. Our results show that exposure to the fibrogenic and inflammatory mineral, crocidolite, results in an enhanced lipid peroxidation in BAL cells and fluid not observed after inhalation of the particulate TiO2. These novel observations suggest that MDA in BAL may be useful as a biomarker of exposure to inhaled asbestos or other oxidants.  相似文献

Effects of neuropeptides on growth of cultivated rat molar pulp fibroblasts   总被引:2,自引:0,他引:2
The effect of the neuropeptides substance P (SP), neurokinin A (NKA), calcitonin gene-related peptide (CGRP), neuropeptide Y (NPY) and vasoactive intestinal polypeptide (VIP) on DNA synthesis of dental pulp cells was investigated in cells grown from molar tooth bud explants from 4–6 days old rat pups. A concentration response-assay of the proliferative response of pulpal cells was performed with SP, NPY, NKA, CGRP and VIP (0.01 to 1 nM) in the presence of EGF (10 ng/ml), hydrocortisone (0.4 μg/ml) and 3% FCS, using [3H]thymidine incorporation. The results showed that SP, NKA and CGRP, but not NPY and VIP, increased the cell number in a concentration-dependent manner, with maxima at 10−10 – 10−9 M (SP, NKA) and 10−7 M (CGRP). No potentiating effect was noted when cells are simultaneously stimulated with SP and CGRP. The finding that SP, NKA and CGRP have growth regulatory properties on pulpal cells in vitro suggests that sensory neuropeptides may be involved during pulpal development or in wound healing after pulpal injury.  相似文献

This study assesses the action of hypercortisolism on the hormone and peptide periadenoma region of removed ACTH-producing microadenoma. Our findings show that cortisol excess affects both ACTH and GH production, with no immunoreaction for these hormones. The remaining pituitary hormones (TSH, FSH and PRL) and POMC-derived peptides (betaEnd, alphaMSH and betaMSH) were not modified. Likewise, we observed pituitary immunoreactive cells for Neurotensin (NT), Intestinal vasoactive peptide (VIP), Substance P (SP) and Angiotensin-II (Ang-II). The colocalization demonstrated that NT was expressed in thyrotrope and gonadotrope cells, VIP in gonadotrope cells and SP in corticotrope cells. The results about Ang-II were inconclusive. On the other hand, immunoreaction for the NPY and Gal peptides were not present. In the adenomatous cells, the peptide NT is present in ACTH cells as well as SP. These results suggest a peptide regulation of pituitary cells in the pathological state that can differ between normal and tumoural cells of the same pituitary.  相似文献

Indirect double immunofluorescence labelling for eight neuropeptides in the pancreas of the bullfrog, Rana catesbeiana, demonstrated the occurrence, distribution, and coexistence of certain neuropeptides in the exocrine and endocrine pancreas. Immunoreactivity of substance P (SP), calcitonin gene-related peptide (CGRP), vasoactive intestinal polypeptide (VIP), neuropeptide Y (NPY), FMRFamide (FMRF), and galanin (GAL) was localized in nerve fibers distributed between the acini and around the duct system and vasculature of the exocrine pancreas. In these regions, CGRP-immunoreactive fibers were more numerous than those containing the other five peptides. Almost all SP fibers showed coexistence of SP with CGRP, and about one third of fibers also showed coexistence of SP with VIP, NPY, FMRF, and GAL. In the endocrine pancreas, SP, CGRP, VIP, and GAL were recognized in the nerve fibers around and within the islets of Langerhans, and VIP and GAL fibers were more numerous than SP and CGRP fibers. All CGRP fibers, and about half of the VIP and GAL fibers were immunoreactive for SP. NPY- and FMRF-immunoreactive cells were found at the periphery of the islets. These findings suggest that the exocrine and endocrine pancreatic functions of the bullfrog are under the control of peptidergic innervation.  相似文献

The distribution of immunoreactive-dynorphin (ir-Dyn) in isolated subpopulations of bovine adrenal chromaffin cells was examined and compared with that of adrenaline (A), noradrenaline (NA) and ir-Leucine-Enkephalin (ir-Leu-Enk). Using a stepwise bovine serum albumin (BSA) gradient, various populations of catecholamine-storing cells were separated and designated as cell layers I, II and III. Cell layer I contained more NA than A; cell layer II contained slightly more A than NA whereas cell layer III was highly enriched in A. The original cell preparation contained 2.9 times more ir-Leu-Enk than ir-Dyn (4.7 and 1.6 pmoles per 10(6) cells, respectively). After separation of the cells on BSA gradient, ir-Dyn was mainly detected in cell layer I (4.0 pmoles/10(6) cells) whereas ir-Leu-Enk was concentrated in cell layer III (8.3 pmoles/10(6) cells). Both peptides were secreted in response to acetylcholine (5 x 10(-5) M), but the amount secreted was in accordance with the cell content in each peptide. After subcellular fractionation of the adrenal medulla, the neuropeptides were found in close association with catecholamines in the secretory granules. These results indicate that bovine adrenal chromaffin cells can be isolated according to their specific content in A, NA and opioid peptides and are consistent with the hypothesis of distinct biosynthetic pathways for Dyn and the Enk.  相似文献

The organization and interactions of neuropeptides in the central nucleus of the amygdala (Ce) were studied using single and double label immunocytochemical techniques. Immunocytochemical localization of substance P (SP), neurotensin (NT), met-enkephalin (m-ENK), somatostatin (SS) and vasoactive intestinal polypeptide (VIP) revealed all of these peptides within discrete regions of the Ce. The regions differed from the classical medial and lateral anatomical divisions reported for the Ce. Instead, three easily recognizable neuropeptidergic subdivisions were evident: a medial zone, a central zone and a lateral capsular zone. Two types of interrelationships between peptides were noted. The first involved a peptidergic fiber in apposition to a peptidergic perikarya. The most prevalent peptidergic interaction of this type occurred between SP and NT. The second interrelationship involved two different peptidergic fibers in apposition to an immunonegative cell. Two interactions of this type were commonly observed. The first involved NT and m-ENK fibers simultaneously apposed to an unstained cell. The second involved SP and m-ENK fibers adjacent to the same immunonegative cell. The interactions between peptidergic systems may suggest a role of these substances in the regulation of autonomic functions in the Ce.  相似文献

Levels of substance P (sP), peptide-histidine-isoleucine (PHI), vasoactive intestinal polypeptide (VIP), cholecystokinin (CCK), neurotensin (NT), bombesin (BOM) and methionine-enkephalin (Met-Enk) like immunoreactivity were measured in cat, dog, primate and sloth cervical, thoracic, lumbar and sacral dorsal and ventral horns and dorsal root ganglia. The levels of peptides in the cat sacral cord and the principal peaks of immunoreactivity on a 10-60% acetonitrile gradient on a C18 reverse phase high performance liquid chromatography (HPLC) were sP (sP1-11: 369 ng/g), PHI (PHI: 271 ng/g), VIP (VIP1-28: 210 ng/g), Met-Enk (Met1-5 and extended forms: 257 ng/g), BOM (BOM1-10 and GRP1-27: 20 ng/g), CCK (CCK-8: 15 ng/g) and NT (NT1-13: 10 ng/g). Consideration of the rostrocaudal levels revealed an approximately even distribution with the exception of VIP and PHI which showed sacral/cervical ratios of 79 and 63. For sP, Met-Enk and BOM dorsal/ventral ratios were greater than 1 at all spinal levels. For VIP, PHI and CCK these ratios were greater than 1 only in the sacral cord. Dorsal root ganglion (DRG) levels of sP, VIP, PHI were readily measurable in single ganglia and covaried with the respective levels in the dorsal cord. Pooled samples of spinal ganglia and the trigeminal ganglia revealed that the relative levels of peptide immunoreactivity were: sP (25 ng/g); VIP (26 ng/g); PHI (28 ng/g); Met-Enk (6 ng/g); CCK (2 ng/g); NT (1 ng/g); and BOM (1 ng/g).  相似文献

In order to investigate the relationship between the biochemical pathways that characterize contraction and cell growth, we have studied both contraction, mitogenesis and protein synthesis induced by the vasoactive neuropeptides, substance P (SP), calcitonin gene related peptide (CGRP) and vasoactive intestinal polypeptide (VIP) on four different established vascular and nonvascular smooth muscle cell lines. Contraction in vitro was evaluated by light microscopy and recorded photographically. Mitogenesis and protein synthesis were evaluated by [3H]-thymidine incorporation into cells and [3H]-amino acid incorporation into trichloroacetic acid precipitated materials, respectively. SP stimulated mitogenesis of A7r5 cells (embryonic rat aorta), but failed to induce significant contraction of these cells, whereas, SP induced contraction of cultured adult rat vascular smooth muscle cells (VSMC), but failed to stimulate mitogenesis. CGRP and VIP stimulated mitogenesis and protein synthesis, respectively, of DDT1MF-2 cells (hamster vas deferens), but neither induced contraction of this cell line. All three neuropeptides showed no effect on BC3H1 (mouse smooth muscle-like) cells. These results suggest that neuropeptides with vasoactive properties modulate different stages of cellular mitogenic responses which may be regulated by the degree of maturation of smooth muscle cell.  相似文献

To investigate the functional relationship between the enteric nervous system and the intestinal neurotensin (N) cells, the release of neurotensin (NT) was measured upon vascular 8-min infusion periods of various neurotransmitters and neuropeptides in an isolated vascularly perfused rat jejunoileum. NT-like immunoreactivity (NT-LI) was measured with an antiserum that specifically recognizes intact NT. The cholinergic agonists methacholine and carbachol produced a strong release of NT-LI (250% and 700% of basal, respectively at 10(-5) M). The infusion of a lower dose (10(-7) M) was less effective in both cases. The nicotinic receptor agonist DMPP (10(-4) M) had no significant effect on NT-LI release. Norepinephrine (10(-6) M) produced a moderate and well-sustained secretion of NT (200% of basal). Infusion of higher doses of these neurotransmitters dramatically increased the arterial pressure. G-amino-n-butyric acid (GABA), histamine, serotonin and dopamine administered at final concentrations up to 10(-5) M had no effect on NT-LI release. In contrast, gastrin-releasing peptide and bombesin induced a dose-dependent transient increase of portal NT-LI (maximal value at 10(-7) M: 1000% of basal) followed by a rapid return to near basal values. Substance P (10(-7) M) evoked a prompt release of NT-LI with a peak at 600% of basal followed by a decline to 200% of basal at the end of the session. Leu-enkephalin and calcitonin-gene-related-peptide (CGRP, 10(-7) M) produced a small rise in portal NT-LI, while Met-enkephalin, dynorphin, vasoactive intestinal peptide (VIP), galanin, neuropeptide Y (NPY), peptide histidine isoleucine (PHI), neuromedin U and thyrotropin releasing hormone (TRH) had no stimulatory effect. Our results indicate that additionally to the secretion of NT induced by cholinergic agents and bombesin, substance P and to a lesser extent Leu-enkephalin are capable of stimulating NT release in the rat.  相似文献
