The Working Party on Safety in Biotechnology of the European Federation of Biotechnology has proposed a classification of microorganisms that cause diseases in plants. In this paper appropriate safety levels are proposed for these classes of microorganisms in order to ensure that research, development and industrial fermentation work with plant pathogens will limit the risk of outbreaks of diseases in crops that could result from work with such microorganisms when they are cultivated in laboratories, glasshouses and biotechnology installations.Co-opted: J. 旨在诱变选育L-异亮氨酸高产菌,并探索突变株最佳发酵条件。利用传统化学诱变结合常压室温等离子体生物诱变体系对实验室保藏的Brevibacterium flavum I-12进行逐级诱变,选育2-噻唑丙氨酸(2-TA)和磺胺胍(SG)高抗性和在琥珀酸平板上能快速生长的突变菌株。随后,在单因素实验的基础上,利用响应面设计优化出目的突变株摇瓶发酵培养基组分的最佳参数水平。结果显示,经过一系列诱变和筛选,成功选育出一株在40 g/L的2-TA和5 g/L的SG,且以琥珀酸为唯一碳源的培养基上快速生长突变株,命名为B. flavum TA-6,该菌株产酸达26.2±0.5 g/L,比出发菌株提高了44.75%,而副产物L-缬氨酸和L-亮氨酸积累量明显降低。经响应面法优化发酵条件后,突变株产酸可达27.8±0.5 g/L,比优化前提高了6.1%。通过传统化学诱变结合ARTP生物诱变体系,成功选育出一株杂酸降低的L-异亮氨酸高产菌TA-6,该菌株具有潜在生产应用价值。  相似文献

Summary The Working Party on Safety in Biotechnology of the European Federation of Biotechnology reported [Künzi M, et al. Safe Biotechnology (1) — General considerations. Appl Microbiol Biotechnol 21:1–6] on the classification of human pathogens and other microorganisms. It is proposed to relate the various risk classes of these organisms to the categories of physical containment for recombinant DNA (rDNA) organisms according to the OECD report [OECD Report (1986) Recombinant DNA Safety Considerations, Paris].In view of the differences in the numbering systems of the EFB for risk classes (1–4) and the OECD system of Good Industrial Large Scale Practice (GILSP) and containment categories 1–3, the former have been given alternative names. The European Biotechnology Congress 2011 held under the auspices of the European Biotechnology Thematic Network Association (EBTNA) in conjunction with the Turkish Medical Genetics Association brings together a broad spectrum of biotechnologists from around the world. The subsequent abstracts indicate the manner in which biotechnology has permeated all aspects of research from the basic sciences through to small and medium enterprises and major industries. 非洲是世界上生物科技最不发达的地区,现代生物科技在许多非洲国家还是新鲜事物。但近年来,非洲国家对生物科技的发展充分重视,不断加强生物人才培养,积极开展国际合作,高度重视生物安全,参与各种UNEP/GEF生物安全计划,并在非盟组织以及国际机构的引导和支持下,成立了生物科技高水平专家组(ABP),撰写了“非洲生物技术发展报告”提出非洲生物技术发展构想。了解和研究非洲生物科技发展现状及动态对我国生物科技的发展以及开展中非合作有着重要的意义。  相似文献

Biotechnology is a life science-based technique especially used in agriculture, medicine and food sciences. It is generally defined as the manipulation in organisms to generate products for the welfare of the world. Biotechnology combines disciplines such as genetics, biochemistry, microbiology, and cell biology along with information technology, chemical engineering, robotics etc. It includes basic industries such as food processing, tissue culture, plant development and other sophisticated ones such as recombinant therapeutics and diagnostics. Biotechnology, globally recognized as a rapidly emerging and far-reaching technology, is aptly described as the "technology of hope" for its promise of food, health and environmental sustainability. In India, biotechnology employs more than 10 000 people and generates roughly US$ 500 million in revenue annually. The biotechnology market has increased its sales from Rs. 50 billion in 1997 to Rs.70 billion in 2000, and is expected to cross Rs. 240 billion by the year 2010. In India, the human health biotech products account for 60% of the total market; agribiotech and veterinary 25%, medical devices, contract research and development (R&D), reagents and supplies constitute the remaining 15% Moreover, to facilitate foreign investment, capital and government policies are being revised. Other important industries include industrial enzyme manufacture, bioinformatics, and medical devices. Biotechnology has had limited appeal so far on our capital markets, and we have less then a dozen biotech companies listed on the public markets.  相似文献
