Manifestation of typological characteristics of higher nervous activity in EEG energo-(amplitude-) frequency parameters were studied in chronic experiments on cats in a state of rest. EEG Of the animals of a strong nervous system type were characterized by a comparatively steady prevalence of alpha-activity and a stable relationship between the summary energy parameters of the basic frequencies. The brain electrical activity of cats with a weak type of higher nervous activity was in some cases characterized by instability of the general pattern: the summary parameter of each rhythm often changed, while at different intervals of time any of them could be recorded as predominant; in other cases slow waves were steadily prominent, and the summary energy of alpha-activity was low.  相似文献

In this paper the data are analyzed on the human EEG investigation. Significance is shown of parameters of correlative and spectral-coherent EEG functions for the estimation of the brain functional state of healthy people and patients with local cerebral lesions. In the norm, the parameter of the mean coherence is stable, its characteristics correspond to the optimum cortical tone, the most favourable for the performance of the cortical functions. In healthy people unstable, individual, different in different cortical areas changes of the spectrum details, coherence and phases reflect local processes, taking place at the optimum mean level of the coherence and form the cortical mosaic. These two sides of the intercentral relations of the electrical processes (optimum level of coherence and dynamic mosaic of connections of separate rhythms) reflect the most favourable conditions of the nervous processes development. In the brain pathology, different forms are noted of deviations from the system of intercentral relations and levels of coherence of cortical electrical processes.  相似文献

Effects of psycho-emotional stress on contents of steroid hormones in the blood were studied in dogs with different typological properties of the higher nervous activity. Under stress condition, a significant correlation between the cortisol and testosterone levels and the dogs' typological characteristics was found. The more obvious fluctuations in the hormones level occurred in animals with strong and excitable type of the nervous system as compared with dogs belonging to weak and inert type.  相似文献

In athletes with different types of physical training and various temperaments, variability of the main rhythms of the EEG (??, ??, and ??) and the parameters of the desynchronization response of the ??-rhythm, the individual extent of the decrease in the power of the ??-rhythm during eye opening under the conditions of hypoxia growing from 20.9 to 10% of O2 were studied. Twenty-four 18- to 26-year-old athletes, including 11 swimmers and 13 skiers, were involved in the study. We found that, in contrast to normoxia conditions, hypoxia was associated with the instability of the spectrum of the EEG rhythms and phasic changes during a 25-min hypoxia. The EEG response during hypoxia depended on individual typological features estimated using Strelau??s temperament questionnaire. Negative correlation between the psychological construct ??endurance?? measured using the FCB-TI questionnaire (Formal Characteristics of Behavior-Temperament Inventory) and the power of the EEG ??-rhythm was found. The parameters of training and the features of the respiration pattern that appeared as a consequence of training modulated the sensitivity of brain structures to hypoxia, which was reflected in the changes in the EEG ??-rhythm under hypoxia conditions.  相似文献

The paper is devoted to studies of interrelations between behavioural dominance of the left or right hemisphere and typological characteristics of the nervous system in rats. Rats with a strong type of nervous system are shown to possess species-specific interhemispheric asymmetry. In animals with a balanced nervous system it is greater than in animals with an unbalanced nervous system. Rats with a weak type of nervous system have no species-specific interhemispheric asymmetry.  相似文献

We studied characteristics of the EEG activity and psychophysiological indices in healthy persons and patients with opiate addiction (in the states of abstinence and remission) before and after peroral introduction of 200 mg sulpiride. In the initial state, spectral characteristics of EEG in patients with opiate addiction differed from those in the control (in healthy tested subjects) by higher relative powers of low- and high-frequency components (delta and beta waves) and a considerable depression of the alpha rhythm. Treatment with sulpiride evoked changes in the spectral characteristics of EEG, which showed a significant intergroup specificity; intensification of alpha oscillations was a general effect in all groups. We conclude that the effects of sulpiride on the EEG activity comprised components typical of both neuroleptics and antidepressants; in the group of patients in the abstinence state, the pattern of effects of sulpiride was close in its profile to the effect of anxiolytics. Dynamics of the indices of psychophysiological testing after sulpiride treatment demonstrated that the drug exerts mostly positive regulating effects on the state of higher nervous functions in patients with opiate addiction.  相似文献

Apparatus of the theory of automatic regulation and control systems is applied for explanation of typological characteristics of the higher nervous activity. On the basis of the analysis of activity of four types of automatic control systems a hypothesis is suggested that these characteristics are connected with organization of the feedback in the functional system, and analogies drawn between the types of the higher nervous activity and types of automatic systems.  相似文献

In researches with participation of volunteers bioeffects of short-term non-thermal radiofrequency electromagnetic field (RF EMF) exposure were studied. The basic form of brain's reaction was the amplification of energy in a-range in electroencephalogram (EEG) spectra. Dependence of these changes, not only due to the changes of the exposure parameters, but also due to personal EEG typological features was shown. Moderate degree of the alpha frequencies domination in the background promoted development of reaction of a brain to the RF EMF exposure. To a lesser degree it was shown at hyperactivity of this range and, practically, was absent in the conditions of theta- or beta2-range domination in the EEG background with the open and closed eyes. The combination of RF EMF exposure and monotonous activity has authentically strengthened result, keeping the basic form of reaction (energy amplification in the alpha range of EEG spectrum) and dependence on EEG typological features.  相似文献

The study of individual typological traits of pilots of civil aviation was performed. Fifty-eight healthy pilots (the control group) and 67 pilots with cerebral atherosclerosis, including 23 subjects with atherosclerotic plaques, were examined. The individual typological questionnaire developed by L.N. Sobchik was used in the study. Accentuated personality traits were found in pilots with cerebral atherosclerosis, which appeared mainly as alterations in personality traits. These alterations could be used by experts during aeromedical examination for estimation of health and professional prospects of pilots.  相似文献

Individual typological features of behavior of dogs were investigated by the method of choice between the low-valuable food available constantly and food of high quality presented with low probability. Animals were subjected to instrumental conditioning with the same conditioned stimuli but different types of reinforcement. Depression of a white pedal was always reinforced with meat-bread-crumb mixture, depression of a black pedal was reinforced with two pieces of liver (with probabilities of 100, 40, 33, 20, or 0%). The choice of reinforcement depended on probability of valuable food and individual typological features of the nervous system of a dog. Decreasing the probability of the reinforcement value to 40-20% revealed differences in behavior of dogs. Dogs of the first group, presumably with the weak type of the nervous system, more frequently pressed the white pedal (always reinforced) than the black pedal thus "avoiding a situation of risk" to receive an empty cup. They displayed symptoms of neurosis: whimper, refusals of food or of the choice of reinforcement, and obtrusive movements. Dogs of the second group, presumably with the strong type of the nervous system, more frequently pressed the black pedal (more valuable food) for the low-probability reward until they obtained the valuable food. They did not show neurosis symptoms and were not afraid of "situation of risk". A decrease in probability of the valuable reinforcement increased a percentage of long-latency depressions of pedals. It can be probably suggested that this phenomenon was associated with increasing involvement of cognitive processes, when contributions of the assessments of probability and value of the reinforcement to decision making became approximately equal. Choice between the probability and value of alimentary reinforcement is a good method for revealing individual typological features of dogs.  相似文献

A new computerized method for EEG rhythms extraction is proposed as a development of the idea of adjustable boundaries of frequency components that was put forward in previous investigations. Principle component analysis of the correlation matrix of EEG spectra with subsequent rotation of factor solutions was used for decomposition of a spectrum into physically meaningful spectral components. The method was tested on EEG of 14 healthy subjects recorded in 17 functional waking states. Fourteen independent spectral components in the spectral range from 0 to 100 Hz were extracted and their frequency boundaries were consistent with the current knowledge on frequency components of EEG oscillations. Main advantage of the described method is the adjustable estimation of EEG frequency oscillators taking into account characteristic properties of individual EEGs. Possible area of application might be the correct evaluation of spectral power of the EEG rhythms, EEG coherence and other spectral characteristics in clinical and experimental research, studies of the frequency characteristics of the EEG rhythms in different human functional states, changes in frequency characteristics of the EEG rhythms during maturation and in mental pathology.  相似文献

Statistical analysis of the distribution of the mean somatometric, functional, and psychophysiological parameters in the total sample of subjects with the use of the χ2 and λ tests and low, medium, and high habitual physical activity (HPA) levels (LHPA, MHPA, and HHPA, respectively) at different ontogenetic stages (junior and senior school students and young adults of both sexes) showed wide quantitative and qualitative ranges of psychophysiological individuality in a healthy population and demonstrated that it is reasonable to distinguish three typological groups or functional constitutional types (FT-1 corresponding to LHPA; FT-2, to MHPA; and FT-3, to HHPA). Typical first- and second-order parameters, as well as the results of third-order tests characterizing the current state, were determined for each FT. In order to comprehensively assess the constitutional type (synthetic constitution) of the subjects with low, medium, and high HPAs, the integrated analysis of the set of their characteristics was performed using the principles of polythetic (multi-variate) classification. The results obtained using multivariate statistical methods confirmed the basic postulate of the concept of typological variability of physiological individuality that a healthy human population is qualitatively heterogeneous in morphological, functional, and psychophysiological traits. The integrated physiological and statistical analyses of the results provided a scientific basis for three functional constitutional types (FT-1, FT-2, and FT-3) corresponding to three synthetic constitutional types (C 0-1, C 00, and C 01). These data indicate that the systemic (constitutional) approach to the estimation of individual typological characteristics confirm a high informativeness of partial constitution (FT-1, FT-2, and FT-3) in the human biological organization, and the set of characters selected for analysis allows the synthetic constitutional types to be adequately differentiated on a formal basis.  相似文献

A hypothesis is proposed according to which there is a strong similarity between the individual typological features of animals (humans) and different stages of learning processes. The hypothesis is supported by the results of comparisons of psychophysiological and neurochemical indices of different stages of conditioning and various typologies of higher nervous activity. Such comparisons reveal a high similarity between the generalization phase and impulsivity, the phase a learned conditioned reflex and self-controlled behaviour, and overlearned CR and a state of "psychosis". Functional states close to pathology and possibilities of development and manifestation of several psychotic states depending on psychophysiological and neurochemical organization of learning processes are also considered.  相似文献

The authors used testimonies of students on the dominant motives of joining a higher education institution as the behavioral model that prefers a high probability of the attainment of a goal or its subjective value. They compared the features of the motivation sphere related to the choice of profession with the psychophysiological data of 38 students of a sports higher education institution. The motivation of this choice was determined using a test questionnaire that permitted the authors to measure the subjective value (importance) and accessibility (probability of attainment) of the selected profession. The psychophysiological features were evaluated on two levels, i.e., formal dynamic (temperamental characteristics) and physiological (frequency and amplitude characteristics of EEG). The athlete students’ motivating factor of the choice of profession was shown to form under the influence of individual and typological features, which manifest themselves in psychomotor activity and total ergicity (working capacity), while accessibility experiences a negative influence of the temperamental characteristics in the intellectual sphere, as well as the total ergicity level. The background EEG was more activated in those who chose sports as their profession because of deeming it more valuable. In students who were attracted by the accessibility of this field, a lower cerebral activation level was observed, especially in the frontal zones of the left hemisphere.  相似文献

The 16-channel EEG records of 45 adolescents with schizophrenia and 39 healthy adolescents were subjected to statistical combinatorial analysis of 160 elementary EEG characteristics (6 spectral and 4 segmental EEG characteristics for a channel). Employing pattern recognition algorithm "Kora-n", a list of 37 combined EEG patterns was compiled. This list characterized with a minimal error the EEG of healthy adolescents in such a way that none of these characters featured the EEG of adolescents with schizophrenia. Analysis of this list of EEG characteristics suggests that the contrast between EEG of healthy and ill adolescents is the sharpest in the F4, Cz, T3 and O1 derivations. Compared to EEG samples of schizophrenic subjects, EEGs of healthy subjects exhibit lower levels of delta and theta activity mainly in the frontal and temporal regions of the cortex and higher level of alpha activity predominantly in the occipital region. Applicability of the list of EEG patterns for diagnostics of schizophrenia-type disorders of adolescents is discussed.  相似文献

The article by Nebylitsyn that precedes this paper concentrates on a more sophisticated and consistent theory of how the hypothetical factor-determined types of nervous system can be established. Golubeva, working from currently accepted typological parameters, is concerned with bridging the gap between psychophysiology and cognitive psychology: she is attempting to determine the relation between physiologically defined individual differences in parameters of nervous system activity and differences in memory for intentionally and incidentally learned material. Characteristics of brain associative functions in children of 6 years old with different lability of nervous processes, were compared by methods of conditioning and informational analysis. In children with a low lability, these functions were 1.6 time slower than in other children. Enhanced demands to lability (limitation of time, acceleration of signals presentation) lead to their further slowing and successive inhibition. In children with a high lability, in such conditions an activation of brain associative functions was recorded followed by expressed successive excitation. These differences may be considered as typological. In cases of learned inertness of motor reactions, the characteristics of these functions corresponded to those in children with a high lability of nervous processes.  相似文献

At comparison of the formation of neurosis in dogs with different typological characteristics in conditions with alimentary and pain reinforcement, a resemblance was revealed of transition from norm to the initial stage of pathology. In strong animals a development was seen of compensatory tachycardia at circular changes of conditioned activity. Weak type dogs are characterized by a lowering or full disappearance of reflexes in combination with bradycardia. The method of differentiation, allowing in situations with alimentary reinforcement to classify the tested animals according to the type of higher nervous activity and differentiate the states of "norm" and "initial stage of neurosis", proved to be effective for the analogous aims also in studies with defensive reinforcement.  相似文献

Exmination of twelve pairs of monozygote (MT) and dizygote (DT) twins and their control groups revealed an identity of the higher nervous activity type and a high positive intrapair and group correlation of typological parameters in MT (0.42); a predominantly different typological classification and a lower correlation in DT (0.33); a low correlation in the control group No. 1 and mere traces of general positive correlation in group No. 2 (0.07) and No. 3. A concept of typological variability of physiological individuality is suggested. In order to substantiate it, typological characteristics of individual variation in habitual physical activity (HPA) have been analyzed, at the first stage of the research, in subjects of both sexes at different ontogenetic stages (the preschool, primary school, adolescent, adult, and elderly ages). With the results of longitudinal studies taken into consideration, it has been demonstrated that HPA is a stable individual character in each age group and, in general, remains so in the course of ontogeny, as a subject changes age groups. This has made it possible to distinguish three functional types (FTs): subjects with low, medium, and high HPAs (FT-1, FT-2, and FT-3). An integrated approach to HPA assessment (pedometer measurements, daily electrocardiographic monitoring, a physical activity diary, and calculation of the circadian index) has allowed standards of daily physical activity and some functional characteristics of the cardiovascular system to be established in subjects of different FTs and prospects for further research in the assessment of individual health and the physiologically normal state to be determined on the basis of the new concept.  相似文献
