Summary A new genus of Hyphomycetes,Tawdiella Gen. Nov. has been described on the basis of type speciesT. doliiformis sp. nov. from soil of India and dedicated to Prof.N. R. Tawde, on the occasion of his joining as the 2nd Vice-chancellor of Marathwada University, Aurangabad. 相似文献

Helicoma chiayiense sp. nov. and Helicosporium taiwanense sp. nov. on decaying wood submerged in a freshwater stream of Alishan area, Chiayi County, Taiwan, are described and illustrated with light and scanning electron micrographs. Helicoma chiayiense is distinct in having hyaline conidiophores arising from repent mycelium, producing broad conidia that bear secondary conidia. Helicosporium taiwanense is distinct in having robust poly-denticulate conidiophores producing conidia with a wide conidial filament. The phylogenetic relationship of these species was sought among representative taxa of the helicosporous hyphomycetes by comparing their ITS of the ribosomal DNA (rDNA). 相似文献

The new anamorphic genus Digitomyces, based on Dictyosporium verrucosum, is proposed. It is characterized by micronematous or semimacronematous conidiophores, integrated or discrete, holoblastic, determinate conidiogenous cells, and olivaceous to pale brown, verrucose, cheiroid conidia, with a truncate basal cell and (2-)3 arms. The new taxon is compared with morphologically similar anamorph genera. 相似文献

Penzigomyces catalonicus sp. nov., collected on dead branches of an unknown tree species in Spain, is described and illustrated. This fungus is characterized by short, dark brown, percurrent conidiophores, usually doliiform conidiogenous cells and ellipsoidal or slightly obclavate, (2-)3-4(-6) euseptate, thin-walled conidia. The new taxon is compared with species from other morphologically similar genera, and a key to the known species of Penzigomyces is provided. 相似文献

The occurrence of coprophilous fungi on samples of antelope, buffalo, zebra and hippopotamus dung collected from the Marula
Estates in Kenya was recorded. A hundred and seventy three fungal isolates representative of 40 genera and 59 species were
identified. Among these species, 23 were Ascomycetes (39%), 30 Deuteromycetes (50.8%), 5 Zygomycetes (8.5%) and 1 Basidiomycete
(1.7%). Ascobolus immersus, Coprotus niveus, Iodophanus carneus, Lasiobolus lasioboloides, Podospora anserina, P. australis
and Sporormiella minima were the dominant species occurring in the dung of these animals. Notes on infrequent or interesting
Ascomycetes include Kernia nitida, Saccobolus versicolor, Sordaria fimicola and others. The interdependence of the vegetation
of this area with the fungi occurring on the dung of these animals is discussed.
This revised version was published online in June 2006 with corrections to the Cover Date. 相似文献

Two species of dematiaceous hyphomycetes parasitic on leaves of Maianthemum gigas or M. paniculatum (Liliidae) in tropical mountain rainforests in Western Panama are described as new. One species is morphologically intermediate
between Periconiella, Pseudocercosporidium, and Stenella. It is tentatively accommodated in Periconiella because of strongly branched conidiophores and verruculose external hyphae. It differs from other Periconiella species by stromata embedded in the substomatal chamber of the leaves. The other species belongs to Pseudocercospora and is described as new since no similar species of Pseudocercospora is known on species of Maianthemum or related genera. Both species are illustrated in detail with drawings based on light microscopy and images based on scanning
electron microscopy.
