A peptide containing 41 amino acid residues has been isolated from trout liver and identified as a member of the β-thymosin family. Sequence analysis shows it to be 78% homologous to thymosin β4, which is the peptide present in the thymus and other tissues of higher vertebrates, including, as reported here, livers of a species of reptile. Thymosin β11 appears to replace the more prevalent thymosin β4 in at least two species of bony fish, and represents the sixth structurally characterized member of this widely distributed family of peptides.  相似文献

A novel chain-like luminescent samarium coordination polymer {Sm3(C8H4O4)4(C12N2H8)2(NO3)}n (C8H4O4 = phthalate, C12N2H8 = 1,10-phenanthroline) has been assembled by hydrothermal process. The title complex crystallizes in the monoclinic system, space group P2(1)/c, with lattice parameters a = 22.56(3) Å, b = 11.155(15) Å, c = 20.32(3) Å, β = 96.70(2)°, V = 5078(12) Å3, F(000) = 2964, GOF = 0.857, R1 = 0.0358, wR2 = 0.0597, Z = 4. Samarium ions exhibit different coordination modes from each other and lead to the unexpected high asymmetrical structure. To our knowledge, it is the first example of lanthanide coordination polymers comprising the three asymmetrical central Sm3+ fragments. The photophysical properties have been studied with excitation and emission spectra.  相似文献

Net fluxes of NH4+ and NO3 along adventitious roots of rice ( Oryza sativa L.) and the primary seminal root of maize ( Zea mays L.) were investigated under nonperturbing conditions using ion-selective microelectrodes. The roots of rice contained a layer of sclerenchymatous fibres on the external side of the cortex, whereas this structure was absent in maize. Net uptake of NH4+ was faster than that of NO3 at 1 mm behind the apex of both rice and maize roots when these ions were supplied together, each at 0·1 mol m–3. In rice, NH4+ net uptake declined in the more basal regions, whereas NO3 net uptake increased to a maximum at 21 mm behind the apex and then it also declined. Similar patterns of net uptake were observed when NH4+ or NO3 was the sole nitrogen source, although the rates of NO3 net uptake were faster in the absence of NH4+. In contrast to rice, rates of NH4+ and NO3 net uptake in the more basal regions of maize roots were similar to those near the root apex. Hence, the layer of sclerenchymatous fibres may have limited ion absorption in the older regions of rice roots.  相似文献

Two new zincophosphites [C6H14N2]0.5[Zn(H2PO3)2] 1 and [C4H12N2]0.5[(CH3)2NH2][Zn2(HPO3)3] 2 have been solvothermally synthesized in mixed solvents of N,N-dimethylformamide (DMF) and 1,4-dioxane (DOA), respectively. Single-crystal X-ray diffraction analysis reveals that compound 1 exhibits a neutral inorganic chain formed by ZnO4 and HPO2(OH) units. Interestingly, the left- and right-handed hydrogen-bonded helical chains are alternately formed via the hydrogen-bonds between two adjacent chains. Compound 2 exhibits a layer structure with 4- and 12-MRs formed by ZnO4 and HPO3 units, in which two kinds of organic amine molecules both act as countercations to compensate the overall negative electrostatic charge of the anionic network.  相似文献

A novel crown-shaped heteropolytungstate is formed by covalently linking two [PW11O39]7− and two [PW9O34]9− fragments with four WO6 octahedra, which represents not only the largest tungstophosphate constructed from two types of building blocks without considering the 4f lanthanide or other 3d transition metal ion linkers but also the highest degree of aggregation known in the large clusters incorporating monovacant lacunary anions.  相似文献

An ATPase is demonstrated in plasma membrane fractions of goldfish gills. This enzyme is stimulated by Cl? and HCO3?, inhibited by SCN?.Biochemical characterization shows that HCO3? stimulation (Km = 2.5 mequiv./l) is specifically inhibited in a competitive fashion by SCN? (Ki = 0.25 mequiv./l). The residual Mg2+-dependent activity is weakly is weakly affected by SCN?.In the microsomal fraction chloride stimulation of the enzyme occurs in the presence of HCO3? (Kmfor chloride = 1 mequiv./l); no stimulation is observed in the absence of HCO3?. Thiocyanate exhibits a mixed type of inhibition (Ki = 0.06 mequiv./l) towards the Cl? stimulation of the enzyme.Bicarbonate-dependent ATPase from the mitochondrial fraction is stimulated by Cl?, but this enzyme has a relatively weak affinity for this substrate (Km = 14 mequiv./l).  相似文献

Addition of excess CF3CO2H (HTFA) to [Rh2Pt2(CO)7(PPh3)3], I, under nitrogen results in the formation of a salt (X2+ Y2−), which contains only the second example of a di-cationic carbonyl hydride tetra-nuclear cluster, [H2Rh2Pt2(CO)7(PPh3)3]2+, X2+, and a presently partially characterized polymetallic anion Y2−. The di-cation X2+ has been characterized by mass spectrometry and a variety of multinuclear NMR methods. Since there is no difference in the electron count for I and X2+, it is probable that both I and X2+ adopt similar butterfly metallic frameworks with a Rh-Rh hinge; in X2+, there are two bridging hydrides to the same wing-tip Pt but the phosphine site occupancies on the Rh2Pt2-framework in I and X2+ are different.  相似文献

One novel layered oxalatophosphate structure K2Fe(C2O4)(HPO4)(OH2) · H2O (1) has been synthesized by hydrothermal method. X-ray crystallography reveals that the complex 1 possesses a 2D layered structure constructed from octahedral FeO6, tetrahedral moieties and multidentate oxalate ligands with the K+ cations among the layers. It is noteworthy that the oxalate anion as a tetradentate ligand bonds to three iron atoms in bidentate-chelating mode on one side and in monodentate-bridging mode on the other, thus forming a neutral iron oxalate sheet. This new structural feature can be considered as the third role of the oxalate ions in metal oxalatophosphate chemistry.  相似文献

The title compounds were made by reacting bis(diphenylphosphino)methane (dppm) with reduced solutions of OsCl64? and Ru2OCl104?. The crystal and molecular structures of these compounds have been determined form three-dimensional X-ray study. The cis-isomers crystallize with one CHCl3 per molecule of the complex. All three compounds crystallize in the monoclinic space group P21/n with unit cell dimensions as follows: Cis-OsCl2(dppm)2·CHCl3: a = 13.415(4) Å, b = 22.859(4) Å, c = 16.693(3) Å, β = 105.77(3)°, V = 4926(3) Å3, Z = 4. cis-RuCl2(dppm)2·CHCl3: a = 13.442(3) Å, b = 22.833(7) Å, c = 16.750(4) Å, β = 105.53(2)°, V = 4953(3) Å3, Z = 4. trans-RuCl2(dppm)2: a = 11.368(7) Å, b = 10.656(6) Å, c = 18.832(12) Å; β = 103.90(6)°, V = 2213(7) Å3; Z = 2. The structures were refined to R = 0.044 (Rw = 0.055) for cis-OsCl2(dppm)2·CHCl3; R = 0.065 (Rw = 0.079) for cis-RuCl2(dppm)2·CHCl3 and R = 0.028 (Rw = 0.038) for trans-RuCl2(dppm)2. The complexes are six coordinate with stable four-membered chelate rings. The PMP angle in the chelate rings is ca. 71° in each case.  相似文献

Summary The TFS1 gene of Saccharomyces cerevisiae is a dosage-dependent suppressor of cdc25 mutations. Overexpression of TFS1 does not alleviate defects of temperature-sensitive adenylyl cyclase (cdc35) or ras2 disruption mutations. The ability of TFS1 to suppress cdc25 is allele specific: the temperature-sensitive cdc25-1 mutation is suppressed efficiently but the cdc25-5 mutation and two disruption mutations are only partially suppressed. TFS1 maps to a previously undefined locus on chromosome XII between RDN1 and CDC42. The DNA sequence of TFS1 contains a single long open reading frame encoding a 219 amino acid polypeptide that is similar in sequence to two mammalian brain proteins. Insertion and deletion mutations in TFS1 are haploviable, indicating that TFS1 is not essential for growth.  相似文献

Liposomes containing either purified or microsomal (Na+,K+)-ATPase preparations from lamb kidney medulla catalyzed ATP-dependent transport of Na+ and K+ with a ratio of approximately 3Na+ to 2K+, which was inhibited by ouabain. Similar results were obtained with liposomes containing a partially purified (Na+,K+-ATPase from cardiac muscle. This contrasts with an earlier report by Goldin and Tong (J. Biol. Chem. 249, 5907–5915, 1974), in which liposomes containing purified dog kidney (Na+,K+)-ATPase did not transport K+ but catalyzed ATP-dependent symport of Na+ and Cl?. When purified by our procedure, dog kidney (Na+,K+)-ATPase showed some ability to transport K+ but the ratio of Na+ : K+ was 5 : 1.  相似文献

The molecular structure of an o-phenylenediamine unit-containing oligophenylene (1), Ph-Ph′-Ph′(2,3-NH2)-Ph′-Ph (Ph = phenyl; Ph′ = p-phenylene; Ph′(2,3-NH2) = 2,3-diamino-p-phenylene), was determined by X-ray crystallography. 1 has a twisted structure, and forms an intermolecular C-H?π interaction network. The -NH2 group of 1 was air-oxidized to an imine, NH, group in the presence of [RuCl2(bpy)2] (bpy = 2,2′-bipyridyl) and gave a ruthenium(II)-benzoquinone diimine complex [Ru(2)(bpy)2](PF6)2 (2: Ph-Ph′-Ph′(2,3-imine)-Ph′-Ph). The molecular structure of [Ru(2)(bpy)2](PF6)2 was confirmed by X-ray crystallography. [Ru(2)(bpy)2](PF6)2 underwent two-step electrochemical reduction with E1/2 = −0.889 V and −1.531 V versus Fc+/Fc. The E1/2’s were located at higher potentials by 91 mV and 117 mV, respectively, than those of reported [Ru(bqdi)(bpy)2](PF6)2 (bqdi = benzoquinone diimine). Electrochemical oxidation of [Ru(2)(bpy)2](PF6)2 occurred at a lower potential by 180 mV than that of [Ru(bqdi)(bpy)2](PF6)2. Occurrence of the easier reduction and oxidation of [Ru(2)(bpy)2](PF6)2 than those of [Ru(bqdi)(bpy)2](PF6)2 is ascribed to the presence of a large π-conjugation system in 2.  相似文献

Abstract A 16-channel fully automated microcomputer-based system was designed to measure the disappearance of NO?3 NO?2 and NH+4 simultaneously from uptake solutions. The analyses were done using high-performance liquid chromatography. Statistical procedures were used to generate transport kinetics and interactions amongst NO?3, NO?2 and NH+4 by intact wheat seedlings. The simultaneous analysis of NO?3, NO?2 and NH+4 at real-time; the accommodation of varying sampling intervals; the capability to study up to 16 experimental units in synchrony; and the analysis of the data with a microcomputer, make this a powerful system for studying transport kinetics and interactions.  相似文献

The reaction of α-MgCl2 with boiling ethyl acetate affords MgCI2(CH3COOC2H5)2· (CH3COOC2H5), which is obtained as crystals suitable for X-ray analysis only from the mother liquor. M=315.5, orthorhombic, space group P21221 (No. 18), a=25.077(3), b=8.616(1), c=7.345(1) Å, V=1587.0(3) Å3, Z=4, Dx=1.32 g cm−3,λ A(Mo Kα)=0.71069 Å, μ=4.17 cm−1, F(000)=664, T=298 K, observed reflections: 1667, R=0.059 and Rw=0.069. Natural wetlands release about 20% of global emissions of CH4, an effective greenhouse gas contributing to the total radiative forcing. Thus, changes in the carbon cycle in wetlands could have significant impacts on climate. The effect of raised supply of CO2 or NH4NO3 on the annual CH4 efflux from the lawn of a boreal oligotrophic mire was investigated over two years. Ten study plots were enclosed with mini‐FACE rings, five vented with CO2‐enriched air and the other five with ambient air. In addition, five plots were sprayed with NH4NO3 so that the cumulative addition of N was 3 g m?2 y?1; and five plots were controls. The CO2 enrichment (target concentration 560 ppmv) increased CH4 efflux about 30–40%, but half of this increase seemed to be caused by the air‐blowing system. The increasing atmospheric concentration of CO2 would promote CH4 release in boreal mires, but the increase in CH4 efflux would be clearly smaller than that reported in studies made in temperate or subtropical temperature conditions. Addition of N enhanced the annual release of CH4 only slightly. At least over the short‐term, the increase in N deposition would have little effect on CH4 effluxes. The increase in CH4 release would probably increase radiative forcing and thus accelerate climate change. However, CH4 effluxes are only a small part in the whole matter balance in mires and thus further studies are needed to define the net effects of raised supply of CO2 or N for carbon accumulation, trace gas fluxes and radiative forcing.  相似文献

Several niobium and tantalum compounds were prepared that contain either the diamidoamine ligand, [(3,4,5-F3C6H2NCH2CH2)2NMe]2− ([F3N2NMe]2−), or the triamidoamine ligand, [(3,5-Cl2C6H3NCH2CH2)3N]3− ([Cl2N2NMe]3−). The former include [F3N2NMe]TaCl3, [F3N2NMe]NbCl3, [F3N2NMe]TaMe3, [F3N2NMe]NbMe3, [(F3N2NMe)TaMe2][MeB(C6F5)3], [F3N2NMe]Ta(CHSiMe3)(CH2SiMe3), [F3N2NMe]Ta(CH2-t-Bu)Cl2, [F3N2NMe]Ta(CH-t-Bu)(CH3), and [F3N2NMe]Ta(η2-C2H4)(CH2CH3). Some pharmacological actions of prostaglandin E1 (PGE1), 6-oxo-PGE1 and PGI2 have been studied. 6-oxo-PGE1 and PGI1 relaxed guinea-pig tracheal muscle in vitro and increased nasal patency in normal volunteers and in subjects with vasomotor rhinitis whereas PGI2 produced opposite effects. All three compounds produced bronchodilatation in the anaesthetised guinea-pig and relaxed human respiratory tract muscle in vitro.PGI2 was several times more potent than either 6-oxo-PGE1 or PGE1 against ADP-induced aggregation of human and baboon platelets in vitro. Intravenous 6-oxo-PGE1 in the baboon caused an ex vivo inhibition of platelet aggregation, but the EC5 was 7.8 times that of PGI2. As a vasodepressor in the baboon 6-oxo-PGE1 and PGE2 were equipotent. Thus with the exception of the vasodepressor effect, the actions of 6-oxo-PGE1 qualitatively and quantitatively resembled those of the structurally related PGE1 rather than those of PGI2.  相似文献
