Smooth muscle electrical activity was recorded simultaneously with intraluminal pressure in the cauda epididymidis and epididymal vas of the rat in vitro. Spontaneous electrical activity spread over distances of several centimetres and was associated with a pressure wave recorded through an open-ended catheter in the distal cauda and epididymal vas. Transmission of pressure wave was gradually damped by filling of the catheter with spermatozoa.  相似文献

Pirenzepine is known to be an antiulcer drug with antimuscarinic activity. The present work shows the effect of pirenzepine dihydrochloride on biliary secretion in dogs under normal conditions and after the application of different nervous and humoral stimuli. Pirenzepine (3 mg/kg) was orally administered to unanaesthetized dogs one hour before feeding. This treatment diminished the increase in biliary secretion as well as the intracholedochal pressure that usually followed feeding. On the other hand, a 0.75 mg/kg dose of the antimuscarinic drug intravenously administered to anaesthetized dogs, significantly reduced the increase in intracholedochal pressure produced after the injection of acetylcholine or cholecystokinin (CCK-PZ). Finally, the same dose of pirenzepine eliminated the effect of vagal electrical stimulation on intracholedochal pressure. These results suggest that the effect of pirenzepine on biliary secretion is mainly due to its action on the emptying of the gallbladder.  相似文献

本研究旨在观察17β-雌二醇(E2)对雄性大鼠延髓腹外侧头端区(RVLM)神经元自发放电活动的影响.在切断双侧缓冲神经的麻醉雄性Sprague-Dawley大鼠上,同步记录血压、心率和RVLM神经元的自发放电活动.颈动脉内注射E2 (10 ng/kg),30个RVLM神经元自发放电单位中有25个单位的放电频率由14.46±0.47降至9.73±0.33 spikes/s (P<0.05),与此同时血压和心率无明显改变.E2的抑制效应在1 min内起效,持续时间长于5 min.雌激素受体拮抗剂tamoxifen (5 mg/kg)不能阻断E2 的抑制效应.预先给予一氧化氮(NO)合酶阻断剂L-NAME (2.7 μg/kg)能明显阻断E2的抑制效应.应用NO供体SIN-1 (0.5 μg/kg)可增强E2的抑制效应.以上结果提示,E2可通过非基因组效应激活RVLM神经元的NOS而引发NO释放,进而抑制其自发放电活动.  相似文献

In 6 conscious weaned piglets with implanted electrodes in the corpus and antrum of the stomach, the duodenum, jejunum, ileum and caecum the influence of intravenous infusion of leukotriene (LT)D4, 0.1 and 1 microgram kgmin for 10 min, on mean arterial pressure and gastrointestinal electrical activity was examined. LTD4 induced a significant increase in arterial pressure. Gastrointestinal electrical activity, however, was little influenced, since only the antrum pylori revealed a transient decrease.  相似文献

The electrical activity of the respiratory skeletal muscles is altered in response to reflexes originating in the gastrointestinal tract. The present study evaluated the reflex effects of esophageal distension (ED) on the distribution of motor activity to both inspiratory and expiratory muscles of the rib cage and abdomen and the resultant changes in thoracic and abdominal pressure during breathing. Studies were performed in 21 anesthetized spontaneously breathing dogs. ED was produced by inflating a balloon in the distal esophagus. ED decreased the activity of the costal and crural diaphragm and external intercostals and abolished all preexisting electrical activity in the expiratory muscles of the abdominal wall. On the other hand, ED increased the activity of the parasternal intercostals and expiratory muscles located in the rib cage (i.e., triangularis sterni and internal intercostal). All effects of ED were graded, with increasing distension exerting greater effects, and were eliminated by vagotomy. The effect of increases in chemical drive and lung inflation reflex activity on the response to ED was examined by performing ED while animals breathed either 6.5% CO2 or against graded levels of positive end-expiratory pressure (PEEP), respectively. Changes in respiratory muscle electrical activity induced by ED were similar (during 6.5% CO2 and PEEP) to those observed under control conditions. We conclude that activation of mechanoreceptors in the esophagus reflexly alters the distribution of motor activity to the respiratory muscles, inhibiting the muscles surrounding the abdominal cavity and augmenting the parasternals and expiratory muscles of the chest wall.  相似文献

The relationship between transmural potential difference (PD) and smooth muscle electrical and mechanical activity was investigated in the rabbit ileum in vitro. Transmural PD was monitored using agar salt bridge electrodes connected via calomel half cells to an electrometer. Force displacement transducers recorded predominantly longitudinal smooth muscle activity. Concurrently, predominantly circular muscle activity was recorded at three sites using intraluminal pressure probes. At the same sites, suction electrodes monitored electrical activity of the smooth muscle. In all experiments, fluctuations in transmural PD were temporally linked to smooth muscle mechanical and electrical activity. The frequency of PD oscillations, electrical slow waves, and cyclic pressure changes were identical within each segment. Adrenaline abolished smooth muscle electrical spiking, all mechanical activity, and transmural fluctuations in PD. However, the slow waves were not abolished, though their frequency was increased. Phentolamine but not propranolol reversed the effects of adrenaline, thus slow wave frequency is influenced by alpha-adrenergic stimulation in the rabbit ileum. In conclusion, oscillations in transmural PD are unrelated to the ionic processes associated with the slow wave. However, they are in some way linked to smooth muscle contractile activity, possibly via an intrinsic neural mechanism as observed in the guinea pig.  相似文献

The effect of the noradrenergic neurotoxin N-(2-chloroethyl)-N-ethyl-2-bromobenzylamine (DSP-4) on electroencephalographic activity (EEG) was studied in the model of chronic focal epilepsy induced by intracortical injection of FeCl3 in the rat. EEG activity was recorded from the epileptogenic focus (ipsilateral and contralateral) in chronic experiments before and after DSP-4 treatment. In some experiments EEG activity was also simultaneously recorded from the cortical epileptogenic focus and locus coeruleus before and after DSP-4 treatment to study the effect of iron-induced seizure activity and of DSP-4 on the locus coeruleus electrical activity. The results showed that DSP-4 aggravated the iron-induced epileptiform activity as well as the locus-coeruleus electrical activity. The data also showed that, induction of epilepsy by FeCl3 is accompanied by enhancement of the locus coeruleus electrical activity. Our study demonstrates that DSP-4 intensifies and modifies the epileptic activity in the iron-induced chronic epilepsy model and that the effects of toxin persist for a longer duration.  相似文献

Studies have been made of the effect of stimulation of the anterior and posterior hypothalamus on the electrical activity of the hemispheres, arterial blood pressure, heart and respiration rates. Mainly desynchronizing mechanisms were revealed in the ascending influences from both the anterior and posterior hypothalamus. Concerning the descending influences, it was found that stimulation of the anterior hypothalamus evokes depressor reactions, whereas stimulation of the posterior hypothalamus results in pressor reactions. Peculiarities of evolutionary development of the ascending and descending mechanisms of the posterior and anterior hypothalamus are discussed.  相似文献

Inhibition of breathing associated with gallbladder stimulation in dogs   总被引:2,自引:0,他引:2  
The effect of mechanical stimulation of the gallbladder on breathing was studied in anesthetized spontaneously breathing dogs. Measurements of tidal volume, breathing frequency, rib cage and abdominal diameter, transdiaphragmatic pressure, and electrical activity of the diaphragm were made while traction or compression was applied to the gallbladder for periods of 30 s. Both forms of mechanical stimulation produced similar changes, including large decreases in tidal volume, respiratory rate, electrical activity of the diaphragm, and transdiaphragmatic pressure swings. Inspiratory rib cage expansion was little affected, but abdominal expansion was greatly reduced, and swings in gastric pressure were reduced more than swings in pleural pressure, indicating a selective decrease in diaphragmatic activity. Recovery of all measured parameters returned toward control values, despite continued traction or compression. Some inhibition persisted after the stimulus was withdrawn. The very brief interval between stimulus and response suggested that the mechanism was a neural reflex. The afferents involved are unknown but are not purely vagal in nature, since qualitatively similar results were seen in animals after vagotomy. The alteration in breathing frequency indicates that at least part of the reflex is supraspinally mediated. The change in pattern of breathing closely resembles that seen in subjects after abdominal surgery and supports the theory that reflex inhibition of breathing contributes to postoperative pulmonary complications seen in those subjects.  相似文献

The present study evaluated the reflex response of the expiratory muscles to pulmonary congestion and edema. The electromyograms of two thoracic and four abdominal expiratory muscles were recorded in 12 anesthetized dogs. Pulmonary edema was induced by rapid saline infusion in six dogs and injection of oleic acid into the pulmonary circulation in the remaining six dogs. Both forms of pulmonary edema reduced pulmonary compliance, interfered with gas exchange, and induced a rapid and shallow breathing pattern. The electrical activity of all abdominal muscles was suppressed during both forms of pulmonary edema. In contrast, the electromyogram activity of the thoracic expiratory muscles was not significantly affected by pulmonary edema. Acute pulmonary arterial hypertension produced in two dogs by inflating a balloon in the left atrium had no effect on ventilation or expiratory muscle electrical activity. In two vagotomized dogs, pulmonary edema did not inhibit the expiratory muscles. We conclude that pulmonary edema suppresses abdominal but not thoracic expiratory muscle activity by vagal reflex pathway(s). Extravasation of fluid into the lung appears to be more important than an increase in pulmonary vascular pressure in eliciting this response.  相似文献

In humans, intra-abdominal pressure (IAP) is elevated during many everyday activities. This experiment aimed to investigate the extent to which increased IAP--without concurrent activity of the abdominal or back extensor muscles--produces an extensor torque. With subjects positioned in side lying on a swivel table with its axis at L3, moments about this vertebral level were measured when IAP was transiently increased by electrical stimulation of the diaphragm via the phrenic nerve. There was no electromyographic activity in abdominal and back extensor muscles. When IAP was increased artificially to approximately 15% of the maximum IAP amplitude that could be generated voluntarily with the trunk positioned in flexion, a trunk extensor moment (approximately 6 Nm) was recorded. The size of the effect was proportional to the increase in pressure. The extensor moment was consistent with that predicted from a model based on measurements of abdominal cross-sectional area and IAP moment arm. When IAP was momentarily increased while the trunk was flexed passively at a constant velocity, the external torque required to maintain the velocity was increased. These results provide the first in vivo data of the amplitude of extensor moment that is produced by increased IAP. Although the net effect of this extensor torque in functional tasks would be dependent on the muscles used to increase the IAP and their associated flexion torque, the data do provide evidence that IAP contributes, at least in part, to spinal stability.  相似文献

Regulation of the function of the lymphatic pump is tightly connected to the degree of filling of the lymphangion. This mechanism is one of the principle ways that the lymphatics self-regulate lymph transport. But interpretation of the causes and consequences of this regulation is still far from perfect. The issue of whether automatism of electrical activity of the lymphatic smooth muscle cells or the distension of the cell membranes first causes depolarization, is a principal question which needs answering in order to understand the control of lymph transport. In our experiments with perfused isolated bovine mesenteric lymphangions, different values of lymph pressure were simulated. For this purpose, lowfrequency sinusoidal fluctuations of the input pressure were applied to lymphangions under conditions of regulated filling. A poor correlation was seen between lymph pressure fluctuations and lymphangion contractions, as well as between the rate of lymphangion filling and contractions. We observed stable spontaneous contractions of both bovine and rat mesenteric lymphangions at 0 cm of water intralymphatic pressure, and in the absence of distension stimuli (both radial and axial stretch). Under conditions of low filling, contractions of bovine lymphangions produced negative intralymphatic pressure and a suction effect. The automatism is an inherent feature of the lymphatic smooth muscle cells. Distension of the lymphangion modulates the electrical characteristics of the membranes and thus the contractile mechanisms in lymphangions.  相似文献

The experiments on cats and rabbits have studied electroencephalographic, endocrine and blood pressure responses to stress (5-hour immobilization with electrical foot shock) before and after coagulation of the midbrain nuclei raphe. Blood pressure and adrenal responses in advanced (4-hour) stress were elevated in intact animals, the responses attenuating after coagulation of the nuclei raphe. Background bioelectrical activity of the midbrain reticular formation and hypothalamus was found to be activated in the operated animals. Stress was followed by the reduction in bioelectrical changes of the above subcortical structures with the parallel development of "burst" activity in the dorsal hippocamp.  相似文献

In anaesthetised Wistar rats, electrical sympathetic activity and a somatosympathetic reflex in the cervical sympathetic trunk elicited by a single electrical shock to forelimb or hindlimb afferent nerves, were recorded. The spontaneous activity was shown to conform with the pulse and respiratory waves of arterial pressure. Somatosympathetic reflex consists of early and late discharges evoked by somatic myelinated afferent fibres stimulation, and C-response elicited by stimulation of unmyelinated afferent fibres in spinal nerves.  相似文献

The electrical activity of the sphincter of Oddi and gastro-intestinal tract had been recorded on 21 negative atropineesterase conscious rabbits by means of chronically implanted electrodes located in the digestive wall. An analysis of the action of different spasmolytic and analgesic drugs was realized. Electromyograms of the sphincter of Oddi presented (a) isolated or in series spike potentials occurring independently of electrical activities of the duodenum (b) recurring spike potentials correlated with intestine spikes. The independent activity of the sphincter of Oddi was not controlled by the cholinergic system, contrary to the intestine-dependent activity (effect of the fempiverinium, atropine like drug). The pitofenone had inhibited the spike potentials of both the sphincter and intestine because its papaverinic effect. The noramidopyrine, analgesic drug without morphine-like effects, had induced activation and inhibition at low and high posology respectively.  相似文献

ObjectiveTo assess the electrical activity of the suprahyoid muscle and the tongue pressure in a two-wing program of tongue strengthening in individuals with Parkinson's disease (PD).MethodsA pre-post-detraining design study included sixty PD patients assigned to two groups randomly. The experimental group (EG) performed tongue isometric pressure exercises using the Iowa Oral Performance Instrument with an increasing scheme of 5% load weekly and traditional tongue therapy for 8 weeks. The control group (CG) performed only traditional therapy. The electrical activity of suprahyoids was measured using surface electromyography (sEMG) during tongue-to-palate pressure. Four selected domains of the Swallowing Quality of Life Questionnaire (SWAL-QOL) mostly related to tongue strength were considered.ResultsThe experimental group showed increased sEMG values of suprahyoid muscles reaching statistically significant difference at the fourth week of tongue training, while the control did it at the eighth week. Experimental group showed significant improvements in tongue strength (d = 2.128; p = 0.000). Only controls showed detraining effect. Statistically significant difference within groups were found in one and three dimensions of the SWAL-QOL in the CG and EG, respectively.ConclusionAnalysis of electrical activity on suprahyoids muscles provided a better understanding of the changes underlying the outcomes of tongue strength gains obtained through a combined tongue strengthening exercises protocol in PD. Such protocol led not only to increased tongue strength but also to a better perceived swallowing function in PD subjects.  相似文献

The electrical activity and the respiratory changes in length of the third parasternal intercostal muscle were measured during single-breath airway occlusion in 12 anesthetized, spontaneously breathing dogs in the supine posture. During occluded breaths in the intact animal, the parasternal intercostal was electrically active and shortened while pleural pressure fell. In contrast, after section of the third intercostal nerve at the chondrocostal junction and abolition of parasternal electrical activity, the muscle always lengthened. This inspiratory muscle lengthening must be related to the fall in pleural pressure; it was, however, approximately 50% less than the amount of muscle lengthening produced, for the same fall in pleural pressure, by isolated stimulation of the phrenic nerves. These results indicate that 1) the parasternal inspiratory shortening that occurs during occluded breaths in the dog results primarily from the muscle inspiratory contraction per se, and 2) other muscles of the rib cage, however, contribute to this parasternal shortening by acting on the ribs or the sternum. The present studies also demonstrate the important fact that the parasternal inspiratory contraction in the dog is really agonistic in nature.  相似文献

目的:分析生物反馈联合电刺激对女性盆底功能障碍性疾病(PFD)的治疗效果。方法:选择2011年1月至2016年3月我院收治的1000例PFD患者为研究对象,按随机数字表法分为实验组和对照组,每组各500例。实验组给予生物反馈联合电刺激,对照组给予功能性电刺激治疗。比较两组治疗前后盆底肌肉肌力分级的变化,测定盆底功能相关指标的改善及患者治疗前后排尿情况。结果:治疗后2组盆底肌力分级均呈明显上升趋势(Z=52.587,37.581;P0.001),且观察组改善效果优于对照组(Z=27.588,P0.001);治疗后实验组盆底肌肉肌力正常率高于对照组,差异有统计学意义(x~2=68.323,P0.05);治疗后实验组最大收缩压、持续收缩压提升幅度较大,膀胱颈移动度明显减小,与对照组各项指标对比差异有统计学意义(P0.05),且治疗后两组排尿情况均有所好转,实验组效果优于对照组(P0.05)。结论:生物反馈联合电刺激对女性PFD具有较好的效果,能提高患者盆底最大收缩压、持续收缩压,减小膀胱颈移动度,改善患者排尿功能。  相似文献

The action of narcotics and other drugs on electrical activity of neurons in the guinea pig myenteric plexus was examined by extracellular recording with a suction electrode. Morphine, in a stereospecific and naloxone-sensitive action, inhibits spontaneous electrical activity of many neurons, and antagonizes an increased firing rate caused by serotonin or nicotine. The inhibition by morphine of spontaneous electrical activity occurs under conditions of synaptic transmission blockade, which renders unlikely several possible synaptic mechanisms in the primary effect of opiates. Morphine was found not to alter conduction velocity of myenteric neurons. It is concluded that morphine probably acts to reduce the excitability of a class of myenteric plexus neurons, perhaps by hyperpolarizing or stabilizing the membrane potential.  相似文献

The electrical activity of the cerebral cortex was recorded in cats under mild nembutal anesthesia (15-20 mg/kg of body weight) during the development of Cl. perfringens, type A, toxin poisoning (the toxin was injected intramuscularly in a dose of 100 MLD per kg of body weight). Two phases of the changes in the electrical activity of the cerebral cortex were noted. The first phase was attended by the desynchronization of the electrical activity, persistence of the induced potentials and of the reaction of the rhythm reconstruction to the rhythmic light stimulus. No desynchronization occurred under conditions of preliminary section of the midbrain (on the mesencephalic preparation), this indicating the involvement of the reticular formation into the pathological process and pointing to its role in the desynchronization effect. A profound depression of the electrical activity of the brain, depression of induced potentials and disturbance of the reaction of the rhythm reconstruction occurred during the second phase.  相似文献
