Abstract

Helix regularis, Laoma (Phrixgnathus) lucida var. elevata, L. elegans, and Lagochilus studeri, described from “New Zealand” or “Whangarei”, have proved to be referable to extralimital species, and should therefore be deleted from the New Zealand fauna. Helix regularis Pfeiffer, 1855 is shown to be a species of Coneuplecta Moellendorff, 1893 (Helicarionidae) closely related to or synonymous with Nanina microconus Mousson, 1865, for which a neotype is selected. Laoma (Phrixgnathus) lucida var. elevata Suter, 1896 is based on juveniles of Euconulus fulvus (Müller, 1774); Laoma elegans Suter, 1896 is Strobilops labyrinthica (Say, 1817); and Lagochilus studeri Suter, 1896 is Amnicola limosa (Say, 1817). The last three are all common in eastern North America.  相似文献

A morphological study of specimens collected by the author and a critical revision of the key herbarium collections revealed a new rather peculiar taxon of Alchemilla occurring in almost every region of the Middle Volga basin, Russia. This novelity is here described as A. schmakovii and images of the principal morphological features of this species are provided. The new species is compared with related species in A. sect. Alchemilla (e.g. A. micans) and sect. Plicatae (e.g. A. breviloba) based on morphological characteristics.  相似文献

A new species of Blastobotrys Klopotek (1, 2, 4, 5) has been recovered from white pepper. It appears to be sufficiently distinct from B. nivea v. Klopotek. (5), B. proliferas Marvanová, and B. aristata Marvanová (2), to be described as a new species under the name of Blastobotrys navarrensis. Both morphological as well as physiological characteristics were taken in account to differentiate the new species from Blastobotrys species known up to date.  相似文献

A new Vietnamese species of the genus Camellia L. (Theaceae, Theoidae) is described and illustrated as C. luteocerata Orel. This species occurs in the rainforests of Lam Dong Province, Vietnam. Morphological characteristics that distinguish it from related Camellia species are presented and discussed. Morphological evidence supports a taxonomic placement in a new section, which is described here as Camellia sect. Dalatia Orel, within C. subgen. Protocamellia (sensu Chang).  相似文献

Lagerstroemia menglaensis C. H. Gu, M. C. Ji & D. D. Ma, a new species of Lythraceae from Xishuangbanna, Yunnan, China is described and illustrated. Summary A new species ofArthroderma, A. tuberculatum, is described and illustrated. This new species is represented by two strains isolated from feathers of a robin and from an owl pellet. AlthoughA. tuberculatum is similar to the only other known species of the genus,A. curreyi, with regard to the characteristics of the perfect stage, the two species may easily be distinguished by virtue of the accessory spore forms.Arthroderma curreyi forms small aleuriospores whileA. tuberculatum produces large, tuberculate aleuriospores. The morphological development of the ascocarp is presented along with other diagnostic characteristics. Asci are formed through the intervention of croziers.  相似文献

A new species, Bilacunaria anatolica A. Duran (Apiaceae) is described and illustrated from southwest Turkey. The species grows on eroded marly stony slopes and in openings of Pinus brutia forest in Fethiye district (C2 Mu?la province). Bilacunaria anatolica, an endemic confined to southwest Anatolia, is related to B. microcarpa and B. scabra. It is also similar to the Mediterranean species Cachrys crassiloba and C. cristata in terms of habit, but differs in fruit characteristics. Diagnostic morphological and carpo‐anatomical characters are discussed. Notes are also presented on ecology and conservation status. In addition, pollen characteristics and mericarp surface features are examined by SEM. The geographical distribution of the new species and related species is mapped.  相似文献

Cylindrocladium angustatum is described as a new species fromTillandsia introduced with plant material into the U.S.A. from Central America. Koch's postulates are established to prove its pathogenicity to this host. The new genusBotryozyma with a single species,B. nematodophila is proposed for two isolates from nematodes (Panagrellus zymosiphilus) occurring in grapes with sour-rot. Primulina lutescens B. Pan & H. S. Ma, a new species of Gesneriaceae from Guangxi Zhuangzu Autonomous Region, China, is illustrated and described. The new species morphologically resembles Primulina carinata Y. G. Wei, F. Wen & H. Z. Lü, but it differs in leaf, floral characteristics and flowering time. The conservation status of P. lutescens is asessed as ‘Endangered’ (EN) according to the IUCN red list categories and criteria.  相似文献

A new species of Torulopsis Berlese (4) was recovered in 1973 from an acid washed brown forest soil in the province of Navarra. A new species of Rhodotorula Harrison was recovered in May 1978 from Spanish powdered red pepper (Capsicum frutescens L.) in Madrid, Spain. It could not be identified with any hitherto described species of yeast and it was assigned to the genus Rhodotorula Harrison as representative of a new species on the bases of both its morphological and physiological characteristics, for which the name of Rhodotorula matritense is proposed.  相似文献

Two new orchid species from the Cyrtochilum halteratum‐alliance, Cyrtochilum kraenzlinianum and C. maasii, are described and illustrated based on Colombian material. Both novelties are similar to C. halteratum, but they are separable from this species based on floral characteristics. An interesting aquatic ascomycete was found that appeared to possess characteristics of some members of the Sordariales. Subsequent sequencing of the 28S large subunit rDNA and β-tubulin genes confirmed the morphological data by placing it in the Sordariales but failed to provide support for placing this species in any recognized genus. Therefore, a new genus, Cuspidatispora, is erected to accommodate Cuspidatispora xiphiago, which is described as a new species based on a combination of morphological and molecular data. Cuspidatispora xiphiago is unique in possessing a central, melanized ascomal wall layer and apiosporous ascospores with a pronounced apical wall extension.  相似文献

A new species of Mallomonas (Synurophyceae), Mallomonas jejuensis sp. nov., has been found in Jeju Island, South Korea. This species is placed in the series Mangoferae (section Torquatae) because it has a collar of elongated domed scales, domeless body scales, rear scales with spines and all scales ornamented with papillae. The morphological characteristics of the scales and bristle of the new species are described by EM and compared with those reported for the other species of the series Mangoferae.  相似文献
