Five new silver(I)-saccharinate complexes [Ag2(sac)2(tmen)2] (1), [Ag2(sac)2(deten)2] (2), [Ag2(sac)2(dmen)2] (3), [Ag(sac)(N,N-eten)] (4), and [Ag(sac)(dmpen)]n (5); (sac = saccharinate, tmen = N,N,N′,N′-tetramethylethylenediamine, deten = N,N′-diethylethylenediamine, dmen = N,N′-dimethylethylenediamine, N,N-eten = N,N-diethylethylenediamine and dmpen = 1,3-diamino-2,2-dimethylpropan) have been synthesized and characterized by elemental analyses, IR, thermal analyses, single crystal X-ray diffraction and antimicrobial activities. The crystallographic analyses show that all the complexes crystallize in monoclinic space group P21/c. In 1, the sac ligand acts as a bridge to connect the silver centres through its imino N and carbonyl O atoms forming an eight-membered bimetallic ring in a chair conformation. Complex 2 has also a dimeric structure in which the monomeric [Ag(sac)(deten)] units are linked by Ag?Ag interactions. In 3, saccharinate ligand acts as a bridging bidentate ligand between two silver(I) centres through sulfonyl group and imino N atom, forming an alternating polymeric chain through the direction [0 1 0]. In 4, the inter-molecular N-H?O hydrogen bonds form one-dimensional polymeric chains through the a axis, and these linear chains are inter-connected to each other by N-H?O hydrogen bonds, which produce a chain of edge-fused and rings along [1 0 0]. Complex 5 is a coordination polymer in which the monomeric [Ag(dmpen)(sac)]n units are linked by Ag?Ag interactions, and the dmpen ligand acts as a bridge between the silver(I) ions, forming a two-dimensional network parallel to the (1 0 0) plane.  相似文献

Four seven-coordinated manganese(II) complexes [Mn(tpa)(η1-NO3)(η2-NO3)] (1), [Mn(bpia)(η1-NO3)(η2-NO3)] (2), [Mn(tpa)(η1-NO3)(η2-NO3)] (3), [Mn(tpa)(η1-NO3)(η2-NO3)] (4), and one octacoordinated manganese(II) complex [Mn(bppza)(η2-NO3)2] (5) have been synthesized and characterized using the tripodal tetradentate ligands tpa, bpia, bipa, ipqa, and bppza (tpa: tris(2-pyridylmethyl)amine, bpia: bis(2-pyridylmethyl)(2-(N-methyl)imidazolylmethyl)amine, bipa: bis-(2-(N-methyl)imidazolylmethyl)(2-pyridylmethyl)amine, ipqa: (2-(N-methyl)imidazolylmethyl)(2-pyridylmethyl)(2-quinolylmethyl)amine, and bppza: bis(2-pyridylmethyl)(2-pyrazylmethyl)amine). The crystal structures for all compounds have been determined. 1, 2 and 3 crystallize in the triclinic space group , 4 crystallizes in the orthorhombic space group Pbca, whereas the eight-coordinated 5 crystallizes in the monoclinic space group P21/n. All compounds have one bidentate bound nitrate group in common. The coordination number and its geometry depend on the coordination mode of the second nitrate group. The coordination polyhedron for 1, 2, 3 and 4 is best described as an oblate octahedron and the one for 5 as a doubly oblate octahedron.  相似文献

The title compounds 1,3-propanediammonium tetrathiomolybdate, (1,3-pnH2)[MoS4], 1 and, N,N,N′,N′-tetramethylethylenediammonium tetrathiomolybdate, (tmenH2)[MoS4], 2, were prepared by reacting the ammonium salt of [MoS4]2− with the corresponding organic diamine. In 1 and 2 the organic diamines 1,3-propanediamine (1,3-pn) and N,N,N′,N′-tetramethylethylenediamine (tmen) are present in their diprotonated form. The reaction of 1 or 2 with [Ni(en)3]Cl2 · 2H2O (en is ethylenediamine) results in the formation of the highly insoluble complex tris(ethylenediamine)Ni(II) tetrathiomolybdate, [Ni(en)3][MoS4], in quantitative yields. 1 and 2 have been characterized by chemical analysis, vibrational, UV-Vis and NMR spectroscopy, TG-DTA-MS and single crystal X-ray crystallography. Compound 1 is thermally more stable compared to 2. Both complexes decompose in a single step forming amorphous molybdenum sulfide. The structure of the title complexes can be described as consisting of tetrahedral [MoS4]2− dianions which accept a complex series of H-bonds from the organic dications. The strength and number of these hydrogen bonds affect the Mo-S bond lengths.  相似文献

Two new rhenium(IV) mononuclear compounds of formula NBu4[ReBr4(OCN)(DMF)] (1) and (NBu4)2[ReBr(OCN)2(NCO)3] (2) (NBu4 = tetrabutylammonium cation, OCN = O-bonded cyanate anion, NCO = N-bonded cyanate anion and DMF = N,N-dimethylformamide) have been synthesized and their crystal structures determined by single-crystal X-ray diffraction. 1 crystallizes in the monoclinic system with the space group P21/n, whereas 2 crystallizes in the triclinic one with as space group. In both complexes the rhenium atom is six-coordinated, in 1 by four Br atoms in the equatorial plane, and two trans-oxygen atoms, one of a DMF molecule and another one from a cyanato group, while in 2 by one bromide anion and five cyanate ligands, two of which are O-bonded and three N-bonded, forming a somewhat distorted octahedral surrounding. Magnetic susceptibility measurements on polycrystalline samples of 1 and 2 in the temperature range 1.9-300 K are interpreted in terms of magnetically isolated spin quartets with large values of the zero-field splitting (|2D| is ca. 41.6 and 39.2 cm−1 for 1 and 2, respectively).  相似文献

Reaction between the binuclear hydroxo complex cis-[(PPh3)2Pt(μ-OH)]2X2 (X = NO3, 1a; , 1b) and the model DNA base 9-methyladenine (9-MeAd) leads to the formation of the mononuclear species cis-[(PPh3)2Pt{9-MeAd(-H),N6N7}]X (X = NO3, 2a; PF6, 2b), in which the nucleobase chelates the Pt(II) ion with the N6 and N7 atoms. The coordination mode of the nucleobase has been determinated through a multinuclear (1H, 31P, 13C, 15N and 195Pt) NMR analysis and the nuclearity of the complex has been obtained by E.S.I. mass spectrometry. 2 represents the first example of an isolated platinum complex in which the NH2-deprotonated adenine exhibits this binding mode.  相似文献

The crystal structures of four Ag(I) and Hg(II) complexes of the ligand 1,4-bis(1-benzyl-benzimidazol-2-yl)cyclohexane (N-BBzBimCH) have been described, that is, [Hg2(N-BBzBimCH)Cl4] (1), [Hg(N-BBzBimCH)Br2] (2), [Ag(N-BBzBimCH)](NO3)(H2O) (3) and [Ag2(N-BBzBimCH)(CF3OCO)2] (4). All these compounds show 1D polymeric structures in the solid state. In complexes 1 and 4, the chloride ions and the trifluoroacetate groups bridge the [Hg2(N-BBzBimCH)Cl2] and [Ag2(N-BBzBimCH)] fragments, respectively, to generate 1D polymers. While the bromide ions in complex 2 and nitrate groups in complex 3 are only serving as terminal ligands to suffice the coordination geometry of the metal centers. In all cases, weak intermolecular interactions such as C-H?X (X = Cl, Br) contacts, hydrogen bonds, π-π interactions and C-H?π stacking play important roles to extend the 1D chain structures to 2D network. Solid state fluorescence of these compounds was also studied.  相似文献

The synthesis and characterization of Pd(II) complexes with the general formula cis-[Pd(L-O,S)2] (HL = N,N-diethyl-N′-benzoylthiourea, N,N-diisobutyl-N′-benzoylthiourea or N,N-dibenzyl-N′-benzoylthiourea) and trans-[PdCl2(HL-S)2] (HL = N,N-diphenyl-N′-benzoylthiourea, N,N-di-n-butyl-N′-benzoylthiourea or N,N-diisopropyl-N′-benzoylthiourea) are reported. These complexes were formed from the reaction between PdCl2 and N,N-di(alky/aryl)-N′-benzoylthiourea in acetonitrile with the formulation dependent on the nature of HL. The new Pd(II) complexes have been characterized by analytical and spectral (FT-IR, UV-Vis, 1H NMR and 13C NMR, Mass) techniques. The molecular structures of two of the complexes (1 and 5) have been conformed by X-ray crystallography. Complex 1 shows cytotoxicity against human breast cancer cells.  相似文献

A facile synthetic procedure has been used to prepare one five-coordinate and four six-coordinate copper(II) complexes of 4′-chloro-2,2′:6′,2″-terpyridine (tpyCl) ligand with different counterions (, , , , and ) in high yields. They are formulated as [Cu(tpyCl-κ3N,N,N′′)(SO4-κO)(H2O-κO)] · 2H2O (1), trans-[Cu(tpyCl-κ3N,N,N″)(NO3-κO)2(H2O-κO)] (2), [Cu(tpyCl-κ3N,N,N″)2](BF4)2 (3), [Cu(tpyCl-κ3N,N,N″)2](PF6)2 (4) and [Cu(tpyCl-κ3N,N,N″)2](ClO4)2 (5) and versatile interactions in supramolecular level including coordinative bonding, O-H?O, O-H?Cl, C-H?F, and C-H?Cl hydrogen bonding, π-π stacking play essential roles in forming different frameworks of 1-5. It is concluded that the difference of coordination abilities of the counterions used and the experimental conditions codominate the resulting complexes with 1:1 or 1:2 ratio of metal and ligand.  相似文献

Condensation of (S,S)-1,2-cyclohexanediamine with 2 equiv. of 2-pyridine carboxaldehyde in toluene in the presence of molecular sieves at 70 °C gives N,N′-bis(pyridin-2-ylmethylene)-(S,S)-1,2-cyclohexanediamine (S,S-1) in 95% yield. Reduction of 1 with an excess of NaBH4 in MeOH at 50 °C gives N,N′-bis(pyridin-2-ylmethyl)-(S,S)-1,2-cyclohexanediamine (S,S-2) in 90% yield. Reaction of 1 or 2 with 1 equiv. of CuCl2 · 2H2O in methanol gives complexes [N-(pyridin-2-ylmethylene)-(S,S)-1,2-cyclohexanediamine]CuCl2 (3) and [Cu(S,S-2)(H2O)]Cl2 · H2O (4), respectively, in good yields. Complex 4 can further react with 1 equiv. of CuCl2 · 2H2O in methanol to give [Cu(S,S-2)][CuCl4] (5) in 75% yield. The rigidity of the ligand coupled with the steric effect of the free anion plays an important role in the formation of the helicates. Treatment of ligand S,S-1 with AgNO3 induces a polymer helicate {[Ag(S,S-1)][NO3]}n (6), while reaction of ligand 2 with AgPF6 or AgNO3 in methanol affords a mononuclear single helicate [Ag(S,S-2)][PF6] (7) or a dinuclear double helicate [Ag2(S,S-2)2][NO3]2 · 2CH3OH (8) in good yields, respectively. All compounds have been characterized by various spectroscopic data and elemental analyses. Compounds 1, 3-5, 7 and 8 have been further subjected to single-crystal X-ray diffraction analyses. The Cu(II) complexes do not show catalytic activity for allylation reaction, in contrast to Ag(I) complexes, but they do show catalytic activity for Henry reaction (nitroaldol reaction) that Ag(I) complexes do not.  相似文献

Two new cobalt(II) complexes of symmetric hexadentate mixed-ligand N,O [1,12-bis(2-pyridyl)-5,8-dioxa-2,11-diazadodecane (pydado)] and N,S [1,12-bis(2-pyridyl)-5,8-dithia-2,11-diazadodecane (pydadt)] donor atoms have been synthesized as perchlorate salts. The crystal structures show that [Co(pydado)](ClO4)2 · H2O (1) crystallizes in the triclinic space group and [Co(pydadt)](ClO4)2 (2) crystallizes in the monoclinic space group P21/c. The cation [Co(pydado)]2+ is pseudo-octahedral with the two pyridyl groups in trans position. However, in [Co(pydadt)]2+ complex, the size of thioether sulfur atoms imposes a distorted octahedral geometry; the pyridyl groups and the sulfur atoms are in trans position. The reaction of the complex 2 and hydrogen peroxide resulted to the oxidation of CoII into CoIII and the thioether groups of the ligand to sulfinate groups with elimination of the central ethylenic group of pydadt. Thus, complex 2 was converted to bis[3-(2-pyridylmethylamino)ethanesulfinate] cobalt(III) complex (3) {[Co(pynso)2](ClO4) · 0.5H2O}. The X-ray crystal structure reveals that the compound 3 crystallizes in the triclinic space group with the same donor atoms (Npyridyl, Namine and S) belonging to the two ligands in cis-position. In aqueous solution, the stability constants of the Co(II) chelates with these two ligands, determined by potentiometry, show the formation of [Co(LH)]3+ and [CoL]2+ species in all cases. The chelating power of pydadt ligand is slightly greater than that of pydado.  相似文献

Using a racemic mixture of the tridentate ligand, (((2-pyridyl)ethylamine)methyl)phenolate ion (L) and , NCS, (NC)2N, OAc as coligands, complexes having the formula [Ni(L)(N3)] (1), [Ni(L)(NCS)]2 (2), [Ni2(L)2(OAc)(N(CN)2)]n (3) were prepared and structurally characterized. In 1, Ni(II) has a square planar geometry and phenolate oxygen is involved in dipolar ?Nδ+ interaction with electrophilic central nitrogen atom of coordinated azide ion. Complex 2 is dimeric in nature and nickel(II) is penta-coordinated. Compounds 1 and 2 exist as centrosymmetric dimers made up of a pair of R and S enantiomers of L. In 3, an acetate and phenoxo bridged dinickel complex is present which is further linked to a zig-zag coordination polymer by the dicyanamide ion. In a given chain of 3, both L have same enantiomeric form and either RR or SS dimers are repeated along the chain. The magnetic properties are described.  相似文献

Hydrothermal reaction of CuBr2, 4,4′-bipyridine and ethanol/methanol generated two copper (I) bromide complexes with in situ alkylated 4,4′-bipyridium, namely [C14H18N2][Cu5Br7] (1) and [C12H14N2][Cu4Br6] (2). The structure of 1 consists of chains and N,N′-diethyl-4,4′-bipyridinium. The underlying structural motif in of 1 is the Cu5Br capped square pyramid, which is different from the Cu5Br2 pentagonal bipyramidal structural motif in various documented anions. The in 1 contains untypical μ5-bromide, with which five copper atoms forms a capped square pyramid rather than a pentagonal pyramid as predicted by Subramanian and Hoffmann. Compound 2 is isostructural with [C12H14N2][Cu4Cl6] reported by Willett, and consists of chains and N,N′-dimethyl-4,4′-bipyridinium. The chain is composed of alternating Cu6Br6 and Cu2Br6 units.  相似文献

A series of new copper(II) complexes of four sterically hindering linear tridentate 3N ligands N′-ethyl-N′-(pyrid-2-ylmethyl)-N,N-dimethylethylenediamine (L1), N′-benzyl-N′-(pyrid-2-ylmethyl)-N,N-dimethylethylenediamine (L2), N′-benzyl-N′-(6-methylpyrid-2-yl-methyl)-N,N-dimethylethylenediamine (L3) and N′-benzyl-N′-(quinol-2-ylmethyl)-N,N-dimethylethylenediamine (L4) have been isolated and examined as catalysts for olefin aziridination. The complexes [Cu(L1)Cl2]·CH3OH 1, [Cu(L2)Cl2]·CH3OH 2, [Cu(L3)Cl2]·0.5 H2O 3 and [Cu(L4)Cl2] 4 have been structurally characterized by X-ray crystallography. In all of them copper(II) adopts a slightly distorted square pyramidal geometry as inferred from the values of trigonality index (τ) for them (τ: 1, 0.02; 2, 0.01; 3, 0.07; 4, 0.01). Electronic and EPR spectral studies reveal that the complexes retain square-based geometry in solution also. The complexes undergo quasireversible Cu(II)/Cu(I) redox behavior (E1/2, −0.272 − −0.454 V) in acetonitrile solution. The ability of the complexes to mediate nitrene transfer from PhINTs and chloramine-T trihydrate to olefins to form N-tosylaziridines has been studied. The complexes 3 and 4 catalyze the aziridination of styrene very slowly yielding above 80% of the desired product. They also catalyze the aziridination of the less reactive olefins like cyclooctene and n-hexene but with lower yields (30-50%). In contrast to these two complexes, 1 and 2 fail to catalyze the aziridination of olefins in the presence of both the nitrene sources. All these observations have been rationalized based on the Cu(II)/Cu(I) redox potentials of the catalysts.  相似文献

A new series of dinuclear squarato-bridged nickel(II) and copper(II) complexes [Ni2(2,3,2-tet)21,3-C4O4)(H2O)2](ClO4)2 (1), [Ni2(aepn)21,3-C4O4)(H2O)2](ClO4)2 (2), [Cu2(pmedien)21,3-C4O4)(H2O)2](ClO4)2.4H2O (3) and [Cu2(DPA)21,2-C4O4)(H2O)2](ClO4)2 (4) where is the dianion of 3,4-dihydroxycyclobut-3-en-1,2-dione (squaric acid), 2,3,2-tet = 1,4,8,11-tetraazaundecane, aepn = N-(2-aminoethyl)-1,3-propanediamine, pmedien = N,N,N′,N″,N″-pentamethyldiethylenetriamine and DPA = di(2-pyridylmethyl)amine were synthesized and structurally characterized by X-ray crystallography. The spectral and structural characterization as well as the magnetic behaviour of these complexes is reported. In this series, structures consist of the groups as counter ions and the bridging the two M(II) centers in a μ-1,3- (1-3) and in a μ-1,2-bis(monodentate) (4) bonding fashions. The coordination geometry around the Ni(II) ions in 1 and 2 is six-coordinate with distorted octahedral environment achieved by N atoms of the amines and by one or two oxygen atoms from coordinated water molecules, respectively. In the Cu(II) complexes 3 and 4, a distorted square pyramidal geometry is achieved by the three N-atoms of the aepn or DPA and by an oxygen atom from a coordinated water molecule. The electronic spectra of the complexes in aqueous solutions are in complete agreement with the assigned X-ray geometry around the M(II) centers. The complexes show weak antiferromagnetic coupling with ∣J∣ = 1.8-4.2 cm−1 in the μ-1,3- bridged squarato compounds 1-3, and J = −16.1 cm−1 in the corresponding μ-1,2- bridged squarato complex 4. The magnetic properties are discussed in relation to the structural data.  相似文献

Copper(II) complexes of a series of linear pentadentate ligands containing two benzimidazoles, two thioether sulfurs and a amine nitrogen, viz. N,N-bis{4-(2″-benzimidazolyl)(methyl)-3-thiabutyl}amine(L1), N,N-bis{4-(2″-benzimidazolyl)(methyl)-3-thiabutyl}N-methylamine (L2), 2,6-bis{4-(2″-benzimidazolyl)(methyl)-3-thiabutyl}pyridine(L3), N,N-bis{4-(2″-benzimidazolyl)-2-thiabutyl}amine (L4), N,N-bis{4-(2″-benzimidazolyl)-2-thiabutyl}N-methylamine (L5) and 2,6-bis{4-(2″-benzimidazolyl)-2-thiabutyl}-3pyridine (L6) have been isolated and characterized by electronic absorption and EPR spectroscopy and cyclic and differential pulse voltammetry. Of these complexes, [Cu(L1)](BF4)2 (1) and [Cu(L2)](BF4)2 (4) have been structurally characterized by X-ray crystallography. The coordination geometries around copper(II) in 1 and 4 are described as trigonal bipyramidal distorted square based pyramidal geometry (TBDSBP). The distorted CuN3S basal plane in them is comprised of amine nitrogen, one thioether sulphur and two benzimidazole nitrogens and the other thioether sulfur is axially coordinated. The ligand field spectra of all the complexes are consistent with a mostly square-based geometry in solution. The EPR spectra of complexes [Cu(L1)](BF4)2 (1), [Cu(L1)](NO3)2 (2), [Cu(L2)](BF4)2 (4) and [Cu(L3)](ClO4)2 (6) are consistent with two species indicating the dissociation/disproportionation of the complex species in solution. All the complexes exhibit an intense CT band in the range 305-395 nm and show a quasireversible to irreversible CuII/CuI redox process with relatively positive E1/2 values, which are consistent with the presence of two-coordinated thioether groups. The addition of N-methylimidazole (mim) replaces the coordinated thioether ligands in solution, as revealed from the negative shift (222-403 mV) in the CuII/CuI redox potential. The present study reveals that the effect of incorporating an amine nitrogen donor into CuN2S2 complexes is to generate an axial copper(II)-thioether coordination and also to enforce lesser trigonality on the copper(II) coordination geometry.  相似文献

The iron(II) compound of formula [Fe(NCS)2(dena)2]n (dena = N,N′-diethylnicotinamide) has been prepared by the reaction between iron(III) thiocyanate and dena in ethanol solution. The complex was characterized by elemental analysis, spectral and magnetic measurements. Single-crystal X-ray diffraction methods show that the complex, crystallizing in the triclinic space group, undergoes a phase transition between 220 K and 230 K, connected with the doubling of cell volume. Crystal structures at 230 K (1a; HT phase) and 150 K (1b; LT phase) are described and a transition mechanism is discussed. In both phases the compound has an extended chain structure, in which the neutral molecule of N,N′-diethylnicotinamide acts as a bridging ligand binding through pyridine N atom to one centre and through amide O atom to the neighbouring Fe centre. The Fe2+ ion has a slightly distorted trans-octahedral environment with FeO2N4 chromophore, and all Fe-O and Fe-N bonds in the typical for high-spin iron(II) compounds range. Variable-temperature magnetic susceptibility data in the temperature range 1.8-300 K show that iron(II) is high-spin S = 2(5T2g) and as a result effects due to zero-field splitting are anticipated at low temperatures. The IR spectrum suggested the coordination of N,N′-diethylnicotinamide to the central atom of iron(II) as a bridging ligand and NCS group as a monodentate ligand.  相似文献

Two polymorphic crystal structures of the title compound, dibromo[(−)-sparteine-N,N]copper(II), 1, were determined. The structures of two isomorphs of 1, 1a [orthorhombic, P212121, a=11.0463(9) Å, b=11.9839(15) Å and c=12.7835(19) Å] and 1b [orthorhombic, P212121, a=7.6779(9) Å, b=12.0927(14) Å and c=18.090(2) Å], are composed of the same basic structural unit, Cu(C15H26N2)Br2. The bond distances in the molecular structures of 1a and 1b are identical to each other within the esds. However, there are slight differences in the bond angles around the Cu(II) center and considerable differences in their packing structure. Crystal 1a exhibits weak anti-ferromagnetism (J=−1.89 cm−1) as opposed to the magnetically isolated paramagnetism observed for the analogous dichloro[(−)-sparteine]copper(II), 2. The results of a magneto-structural investigation of 1a and 2, and other supporting evidence, suggest that the pathway for the weak antiferromagnetic super-exchange in 1a might be through a Cu-Br ? Br-Cu contact.  相似文献

The reaction in water of silver oxide with N-acetylglycine (H2acgly) possessing the partial structure, i.e. the OC-N-C-COOH moiety, afforded light-stable and water-soluble dinuclear silver(I) complex {[Ag(Hacgly)]2} (complex 1). X-ray crystallography revealed that complex 1 in the solid state formed a ladder polymeric structure based on bis(carboxylato-O,O′)-bridged centrosymmetric Ag2O4 core, which was different from the two previously reported structures of silver(I) glycinate. Complex 1 which only comprises labile Ag-O bonding showed a wide range of antimicrobial activities against selected bacteria, yeasts and molds. Complex 1 can also work as an useful silver(I) precursor for novel silver(I) cluster synthesis.  相似文献

The new mononuclear bis(oxamato) complex [n-Bu4N]2[Cu(obbo)] (1) (obbo=o-benzyl-bis(oxamato)) has been synthesized as a precursor for trinuclear oxamato-bridged transition metal complexes. Starting from 1 the homotrinuclear complexes [Cu3(obbo)(pmdta)2(NO3)](NO3)·CH2Cl2·H2O (2) and [Cu3(obbo)(tmeda)2(NO3)2(dmf)] (3) have been prepared, where pmdta = N,N,N′,N″,N″-pentamethyldiethylenetriamine, tmeda = N,N,N′,N′-tetramethylethylenediamine and dmf = dimethylformamide. The crystal structures of 1-3 were solved. The magnetic properties of 2 and 3 were studied by susceptibility measurements versus temperature. For the intramolecular J parameter values of −111 cm−1 (2) and −363 cm−1 (3) were obtained.  相似文献

We have prepared and characterized two cationic ligands and their Ag(I) coordination compounds. For the bidentate ligand 2, 2,2-bis-pyridin-2-ylmethyl-2,3-dihydro-1H-isoindolium bromide, we obtained the organometallic polymer [AgL]x[CF3SO3]2x (4), and the unimolecular complex [AgL2][PF6]3 (5). Compound 4 exists as an organometallic linear polymer with triflate anions either bonded to Ag(I) or non-bonded and sandwiched between the polymer chains. Complex 5 is the only unimolecular example in this series due to the non-interaction of anions with Ag(I) or with the cationic portion of the ligand. In the case of the tridentate cationic ligand 3-(3-pyridin-2-yl-2-pyridin-2-ylmethy-propyl)-benzyl-triethylammonium bromide (3), two dimeric Ag(I) complexes are formed, [Ag2L2][CF3SO3]4 (6), and [Ag2(CH3CN2)2L2][PF6]4 (7). Both of these dimers have essentially similar structures, with a closed-shell Ag(I)?Ag(I) interaction of approximately 3.00 Å in both cases; the pyridyl moieties of the ligands are forced into an electronically unfavourable face-to-face arrangement. The coordination spheres of the Ag(I) cations are completed by in the case of 6, and by CH3CN solvent in the case of 7. In the extended packing diagrams, the arrangements of 6 and 7 are driven by intermolecular π-stacking and cation-anion interactions.  相似文献
