Four novel nicotinato-copper(II) complexes containing polybenzimidazole and polyamine ligands were synthesized with formula [Cu2(bbma)2(nic)2](ClO4)2·CH3OH·0.5H2O (1), [Cu2(dien)2(nic)2](ClO4)2·2CH3OH (2), [Cu(ntb)(nic)]ClO4·H2O (3) and [Cu(tren)(nic)]BPh4·CH3OH·H2O (4), in which bbma is bis(benzimidazol-2-yl-methyl)amine, dien is diethylenetriamine, ntb is tris(2-benzimidazolylmethyl)amine, tren is tris(2-aminoethyl)amine and nic is nicotinate anion. All of the complexes were characterized by elemental analysis, IR and X-ray diffraction analysis. Complexes 1 and 2 contain centrosymmetric dinuclear entity with the two Cu(II) atoms bridged by two nicotinate anions in an anti-parallel mode. The Cu···Cu separation is 7.109 Å for 1 and 6.979 Å for 2. Complexes 3 and 4 are mononuclear with nicotinate coordinated to Cu(II) ion by the carboxylate O atom in 3 and the pyridine N atom in 4. All of the complexes exhibit abundant hydrogen bonds to form 1D chain for 1, 3, 4 and 2D network for 2. Magnetic susceptibility measurements over the 2-300 K range reveal very weak ferromagnetic interaction between the two Cu(II) ions in 1 and antiferromagnetic interaction in 2 mediated by nicotinate ligand, with J value to be 0.15 and −0.19 cm−1, respectively.  相似文献

The reaction of the tripod ligand hydrotris(2-mercapto-1-imidazolyl)borate Tmxylyl with zinc(II) perchlorate in methanol afforded the mononuclear complex of the type [Tmxylyl-Zn(mimxylyl)]ClO4 (1). Whereas under the same conditions, the reaction with copper(II) perchlorate gives rise to the simultaneous formation of the dinuclear copper(I) complex [TmxylylCu]2 (2). The chemical formulae of the complexes have been characterized by elemental chemical analysis, IR-NMR spectroscopies, and single crystal X-ray methods. In complex 1, the zinc(II) atom displays a distorted tetrahedral environment. While in complex 2, the Tmxylyl ligand bridges the two copper(I) atoms in an asymmetric manner with trigonal geometry. The inverted conformation of the ligand Tmxylyl at the boron center, allows the B-H units to be directed towards the copper centers. The greater reactivity of the borohydride groups towards metal centers enhances the reduction of Cu(II) to Cu(I). The obtained kinetic results for the methylation reactions of 1 and 2 indicate that these bound thione complexes are less suitable to electrophilic attack than the thiolate ligand.  相似文献

Zinc(II) complexes of thiones having the general formula [ZnL2Cl2] where L = N-methylthiourea (Metu), N,N′-dimethylthiourea (Dmtu), tetramethylthiourea (Tmtu), N,N′-diethylthiourea (Detu), and diazinane-2-thione (Diaz), were prepared by reacting ZnCl2 with the corresponding thiones. They were characterized by elemental analysis, IR and NMR spectroscopy and two of them {[(Tmtu)2ZnCl2] (1) and [(Diaz)2ZnCl2] (2)} using X-ray crystallography. The spectral data suggests that the coordination of thiones to zinc(II) occurs through the sulfur atom as indicated by an up field shift in the CS resonance of thiones in 13C NMR and downfield shift in N-H resonance in 1H NMR. The crystal structures of the complexes show a tetrahedral coordination environment around the zinc atoms with the bond angles ranging from 99.33(5)° to 116.81(7)°. Antimicrobial activities of the complexes were evaluated by minimum inhibitory concentration and the results showed that the complexes exhibited significant activities against gram-negative bacteria (Escherichia coli, Pseudomonas aeruginosa) and yeasts (Candida albicans, Saccharomyces cerevisiae). However, moderate activity was observed against molds (Aspergillus niger, Penicillium citrinum). The complexes were also tested for inhibition activity against an enzyme, Alkaline Phosphatase EC 3.1.3.1 and were found to be active inhibitors.  相似文献

Four new zinc(II) cyclams of the composition {Zn(L)(tp2−) · H2O}n (1), {Zn(L)(H2bta2−) · 2H2O}n (2), [Zn2(L)2(ox2−)] 2ClO4 · 2DMF (3), and Zn(L)(H2btc)2 · 2DMF (4), where L = cyclam, tp2− = 1,4-benzenedicarboxylate ion, H2bta2− = 1,2,4,5-benzenetetracarboxylate ion, ox2− = oxalate ion, DMF = N,N-dimethylformamide, and H2btc = 1,3,5-benzenetricarboxylate ion, have been synthesized and structurally characterized by a combination of analytical, spectroscopic and crystallographic methods. The carboxylato ligands in the complexes 1-4 show strong coordination tendencies toward zinc(II) cyclams with hydrogen bonding interactions between the pre-organized N-H groups of the macrocycle and oxygen atoms of the carboxylato ligands. The macrocycles in 1, 2, and 4 adopt trans-III configurations with the appropriate R,R,S,S arrangement of the four chiral nitrogen centers, respectively. However, the complex 3 shows an unusual cis V conformation with the R,R,R,R nitrogen configuration. The finding of strong interactions between the carboxylato ligands and the zinc(II) ions may provide additional knowledge for the improved design of receptor-targeted zinc(II) cyclams in anti-HIV agents.  相似文献

Three novel cadmium(II) complexes [Cd2(tbpo)(O2CC6H4-p-NO2)2]ClO4·3CH3OH (1) [Cd2(bbap)(O2CC6H4-p-NO2)2]ClO4·4.5CH3OH·0.75H2O (2) and [Cd(ntb)(O2CC6H4-p-NO2)]ClO4·4CH3OH (3) have been synthesized and characterized by IR, elemental analysis, 1H NMR and X-ray crystallography, where tbpo and bbap are anions of N,N,N′,N′-tetrakis(2-benzimidazolylmethyl)-2-hydroxo-1,3-diaminopropane and 2,6-bis[bis(2-benzimidazolylmethyl)aminomethyl]-4-methylphenol, respectively; ntb is tris(2-benzimidazolymethyl)amine. Complexes 1 and 2 contain μ-phenolate-bridged and μ-alkoxo-bridged dicadmium(II) cores with the Cd1?Cd2 separation of 3.671 Å for complex 1 and 3.718 Å for 2. One of the 4-nitrobenzoate anions bridged the two cadmium(II) ions in syn-anti mode through its carboxylate group, the other 4-nitrobenzoate is only coordinated with Cd2 in bidentate chelating mode. The two central cadmium(II) atoms are in trigonal bipyramidal and pentagonal bipyramidal geometry. In complex 3, the cadmium(II) atom is coordinated with four nitrogen atoms of ntb and one carboxylate oxygen atom of 4-nitrobenzoate in distorted trigonal bipyramidal geometry. Experiment shows that there is a higher affinity of 4-nitrobenzoate anion as coligand with the dinuclear [Cd2(tbpo)]3+ and [Cd2(bbap)]3+ cores than that with the mononuclear [Cd(ntb)]2+ core.  相似文献

The reactions of 2,4-dimethyl-7-(2-pyridylamino)-1,8-naphthyridine (L1) with Zn(ClO4)2 · 6H2O, and bis(5,7-dimethyl-1,8-naphthyrid-2-yl)amine ligand (L2) with Zn(OAc)2 · 2H2O, ZnCl2 or Zn(ClO4)2 · 6H2O afforded four blue luminescent zinc(II) complexes, [Zn(L1)2](ClO4)2 · 2CH2Cl2 (1), [Zn(L2)(OAc)2] · CH2Cl2 (2), [Zn(L2)2][ZnCl4] · 3.5CH2Cl2 (3) and [Zn(L2)2](ClO4)2 (4), respectively. Crystal structures of complexes 1-3 have been determined by X-ray structural analyses as mononuclear complexes with pseudo-tetrahedral geometry. The crystal packing of 1 reveals the coordination cation which is self-assembled to stair chains through aromatic π-π interactions. The intermolecular N-H?O hydrogen bond in 2 generates a centrosymmetric H-bonded dimer. However, the crystal lattice of 3 shows that the molecules are linked by extensive intermolecular hydrogen bonds between the amino groups and the anions, resulting in a one-dimensional zigzag chain. Furthermore, these molecular pairs or chains were self-assembled to two-dimensional sheets or three-dimensional networks through aromatic π-π interactions. All the zinc(II) complexes display intense intraligand 1(π-π) fluorescence with λmax at 380 and 393 nm for 1, 385 and 404 nm for 2-4 in methanol at room temperature, respectively. Emission quantum yields of these complexes are in the range from 0.41 to 0.57. The broad emission bands in their solid-state emission spectra are attributed to intraligand 1(π-π) transition and aromatic π-π interactions as well.  相似文献

Reaction of the symmetrical proligand H2L with metal(II) acetate and a counteranion to promote crystallisation has given the homodinuclear complexes [Zn2L(OAc)2](BF4)]·2MeOH and [Ni2L(OAc)2](BF4)]·2MeOH the crystal structures of which are reported. These show the presence of a triply bridging (μ-cresolato)bis(μ-carboxylato) dimetal core.  相似文献

Reaction of Ni(OAc)2 with the symmetric `end-off' compartmental proligand 2,6-[N,N-bis(2-hydroxy-phenylmethyl)-N,N-bis(2-pyridylmethyl)aminomethyl]-4-methylphenol (H3L) in the presence of NaPF6 has been found to generate a homotetranuclear nickel(II) complex [(Ni4HL)(L)(OAc)2(H2O)2(HOAc)2]PF6. The crystal structure of the complex reveals that the complex is donor asymmetric and that the extended supra-ligand periphery is maintained by a tight hydrogen-bond between two pendant phenol/phenoxy groups of adjacent ligands and by further tight hydrogen-bonds between coordinated acetic acid molecules and the remaining pendant phenols of the ligand, generating a double acid salt of the type [CH3COO?H?LH?L?H?OOCCH3]5−. Reaction of H3L with Ni(OAc)2 and NaClO4 in methanol gave the complex [Ni2(HL)(OAc)2(OH2)2][ClO4]. The structure was determined by X-ray diffraction and showed that the complex exists as a dimer promoted by intermolecular hydrogen-bonding.  相似文献

Three new Cu(II) complexes, [Cu2(C3H2O4)(phen)2(H2O)3](NO3)2(H2O)2 (1) (C3H2O4 = malonate, phen = 1,10-phenanthroline), [Cu2(C4H4O4)(phen)2(H2O)2](NO3)2 (2) (C4H4O4 = succinate), and {[Cu2(phen)2(H2O)(NO3)]2(C5H6O4)2}(NO3)2 (3) (C5H6O4 = glutarate) have been synthesized and characterized by elemental analysis, infrared spectroscopy, thermogravimetric analysis, and single crystal X-ray diffraction. The X-ray analysis reveals that the structures of 1 and 2 are of dinuclear copper(II) complexes bridged by malonate and succinate dianions, respectively, and 3 is a tetranuclear species formed by two {[Cu2(phen)2(H2O)(NO3)](C5H6O4)} fragments. The copper ions in 1 and 3 show square-pyramidal coordination geometry, while the copper ions in 2 exhibit a square planar geometry. In each complex, the dicarboxylate ligand is coordinated to copper ions as a chelate and monodentate (1), bis-monodentate (2), and bis-bridging ligand toward the copper ions with syn-syn coordination mode (3).  相似文献

Two new dinuclear isophthalato-bridged copper(II) complexes [Cu2(ntb)2(μ-ipt)](ClO4)2·4CH3OH·0.33H2O (1), [Cu2(bbma)2(μ-ipt)(NO3)(CH3OH)]NO3·CH3OH (2) and one mononuclear complex [Cu(bbma)(ipt)(CH3OH)0.67(H2O)0.33]·2CH3OH (3) containing tetradentate and tridentate poly-benzimidazole ligands were synthesized, where ntb is tris(2-benzimidazolylmethyl)amine, bbma is bis(benzimidazol-2-yl-methyl)amine and ipt is isophthalate dianion. All of the complexes were characterized by elemental analysis, IR spectra and X-ray crystallography. The structures of complexes 1 and 2 consist of μ-ipt bridging two Cu(II) centers in a bis(monodentate) bonding fashion. The coordination geometry around the Cu(II) ions of both compounds has a distorted square pyramidal geometry. The Cu···Cu distances are 9.142 and 10.435 Å for 1 and 2, respectively. Complex 3 has a distorted square pyramidal geometry achieved by the three N-atoms of the bbma ligand, one isophthalate-oxygen atom and one oxygen atom from a coordinated methanol molecule. The magnetic susceptibility measurements at variable temperature over the 2-300 K range for complexes 1 and 2 are reported, with J values to be −0.013 and −0.32 cm−1, respectively. The results show that the two complexes exhibit very weak antiferromagnetic interactions between the dinuclear copper(II) centers.  相似文献

Two new mixed-ligand complexes [M(atdz)(DCA)(H2O)2]·2H2O, (M = Co(II), Zn(II); atdz = 2-amino-1,3,4-thiadiazole, C2H3N3S; DCA = demethylcantharate, 7-oxabicyclo[2,2,1]heptane-2,3-dicarboxylate, C8H8O5) were prepared and characterized by elemental analysis. The structures of the complexes were determined by X-ray diffraction. The crystals have empirical formulas CoC10H19N3O9S (1) and ZnC10H19N3O9S (2), respectively. Complex 1 and 2 are monoclinic systems with space group P21/m. The structures of the complexes assume severely distorted octahedral geometries. The DNA binding properties of the complexes were investigated by electronic absorption spectra, thermal denaturation studies, fluorescence quenching studies and viscosity measurements. All the results showed the interaction modes between the complexes and DNA were partial intercalation. The results of agarose gel electrophoresis indicated the complexes could cleave supercoiled DNA. The antiproliferative activities testing revealed that all the complexes showed weak to moderate activities against human hepatoma cells (SMMC7721) and human breast cells (MCF-7) in vitro.  相似文献

Synthesis, structure and spectroscopic characterization of 2-thiophenealdehyde-N(4)-napthylthiosemicarbazone and its complexes with biologically important Zn(II) and toxic Hg(II) metal ions have been reported. The crystal structure of the complexes reveals that both are distorted tetrahedral. In the Hg(II) complex the ligand is neutral and mondented where as in Zn(II) complex the ligand is bidented and anionic. Whereas conductivity measurement study shows both the complexes are molecular species. The beautiful changes in absorption spectra along with isosbestic points upon addition of respective metal salts to the ligand solution convincingly support the formation of metal complexes in solution phase. The other spectroscopic studies also show good correlation with their solid state structures.  相似文献

Two new coordination polymers [Cd(dps)2Cl2] (1) and [Co(dps)2(H2O)2]·(abs)2(H2O)2 (2) (dps = 4, 4′-dipyridylsulfide, Habs = 4-amino benzenesulfonic acid) have been synthesized under similar conditions and characterized by elemental analysis, fluorescence spectra and single crystal X-ray diffraction. Compound 1 displays a dps-bridged 2D puckered, grid-like layer, which is further linked by C-H?Cl hydrogen bonds to form a 3D supramolecular architecture. Compound 2 shows a dps-bridged double-stranded chain structure, which is extended by N-H?O and O-H?O hydrogen bonds generating a 3D network. Solid-state fluorescence results reveal that both complexes can emit strong emission bands, at 467 nm and 518 nm for 1 and 344 nm for 2, respectively. Magnetic measurements show that there are weak antiferromagnetic interactions between the adjacent Co(II) ions in 2.  相似文献

Three water-soluble zinc complexes, [Zn(Cbp)2Br2] (1) (Cbp = N-(4-carboxybenzyl)pyridinium), {[Zn(BCbpy)2(H2O)4]3Br6·2(BCbpy)·2(4,4′-bipy)} (2) (BCbpy = 1-(4-carboxybenzyl)-4,4′-bipyridinium) and {[Zn4(Bpybc)6(H2O)12](OH)8·9H2O}2n (3) (Bpybc = 1,1′-bis(4-carboxybenzyl)-4,4′-bipyridinium), were synthesized and characterized by IR, elemental analysis and single-crystal X-ray crystallography. In complex 1, the central Zn atom adopts a distorted tetrahedral coordination geometry that is formed from two unidentate Cbp ligands and two Br atoms. For complex 2, the Zn atom in [Zn(BCbpy)2(H2O)4]2+ is strongly coordinated by four water molecules and two N atoms from two BCbpy ligands, hence forming an octahedral geometry. In complex 3, each Bpybc ligand bridges two [Zn(H2O)3]2+ units through two terminal carboxylate groups in a monodentate coordination mode, thus forming a flowerlike two-dimensional network. Agarose gel electrophoresis (GE) and ethidium bromide (EB) displacement experiments indicated that complex 3 was capable of converting pBR322 DNA into open circular (OC) and linear forms, and exhibited high binding affinity toward calf-thymus DNA. MTT assay showed that complex 3 displayed inhibitory activities toward the proliferation of lung adenocarcinoma A549 and mouse sarcoma S-180 cells, with the IC50 values being 27.3 and 48.8 μM, respectively.  相似文献

Three new coordination complexes [Mn(L)(H2O)2](1,4-BDC)·2H2O (1), [Mn(L)0.5(1,4-BDC)]CH3OH·H2O (2) and [Mn(L)(H2O)2](1,2-HBDC)2·2H2O (3) were synthesized by solvothermal reactions of 1,2,4,5-tetrakis(imidazol-1-ylmethyl)benzene (L) and 1,4-benzenedicarboxylic acid (1,4-H2BDC) or 1,2-benzenedicarboxylic acid (1,2-H2BDC) with Mn(II) salt, and characterized by single crystal X-ray diffraction, IR, thermogravimetric and elemental analyses. In complexes 1 and 3, each ligand L links four Mn(II) atoms to form two-dimensional (2D) cationic network with non-coordinated 1,4-BDC2− and 1,2-HBDC anions lying in the voids between the two adjacent layers, respectively. The 2D layers are further connected together by hydrogen bonds to give three-dimensional (3D) supramolecular structures. However, the 1,4-BDC2− in 2 acts not only as counteranion, but also as bridging ligand leading to the formation of 2-fold interpenetrated 3D framework with pcu (primitive cubic unit) topology. The Mn(II) atoms bridged by carboxylate groups in 2 show antiferromagnetic interactions.  相似文献

Three new Fe(II) complexes [Fe(HIM2py)2(SCN)2] (1), [Fe(HIM2py)2(H2O)2](ClO4)2 · 2H2O (2), and [Fe(HIM2py)2(4,4-bipy)](ClO4)2 · 3CH3CH2OH (3) (4,4-bipy = 4,4′-bipyridine, HIM2py = 1-hydroxyl-2(2′-pyridyl)-4,4,5,5-tetramethyl-4,5-dihydro-1H-imidazole) have been synthesized and characterized structurally as well as magnetically. The X-ray analysis reveals that HIM2py ligands are coordinated to the metal ions as an unusual six-membered didentate chelate with the κ2N(py), O(HIM) mode. Fe(II) ions in complex 3 are bridged by 4,4-bipy, leading to a 1D chain structure. The magnetic behavior of complex 3 is investigated, showing weak antiferromagnetic interactions.  相似文献

Some zinc (II) complexes having formula [Zn(PziPr2H)(μ-PziPr2)(RCOO)]2 [(PziPr2H = 3,5-diisopropylpyrazole, RCOO = carboxylate ligands with R is CH3 for 1, CF3 for 2, CH3(CH2)2 for 3, CH3(CH2)4 for 4 and CH3(CH2)5 for 5] were prepared and structurally characterized by different techniques including single crystal X-ray. The X-ray studies suggested that all these complexes are centrosymmetric dinuclear with tetrahedral geometry around each zinc center. The pyrazole ligand is coordinated in both terminal as well as a bridging fashion whereas the carboxylates behave as monodentate ligand. All the complexes show hydrogen bonding between hydrogen atom of pyrazole (N-H of terminal pyrazole) and nonbonded oxygen atom of carboxylate. Out of these complexes only 5 [Zn(PziPr2H)(μ-PziPr2)(CH3(CH2)5COO)]2 exhibited emission at room temperature.  相似文献

BackgroundSchiff base metal complexes are considered promising chemotherapeutic agents due to their potential application in cancer therapy.MethodsThe current work sought to synthesize a brand-new Schiff base ligand obtained from 2-hydroxybenzohydrazide and (E)− 1-(2-(p-tolyl)hydrazono)propan-2-one with metal ions which included Pd(II) and Zn(II) ions. Elemental analyses, FT-IR, mass spectra, 1H NMR, UV-Vis spectrometer, and computational analysis characterized the compound's structure. In vitro, the breast cancer cell line (MCF-7) was tested for its sensitivity to Schiff base (HL) and its Pd(II) and Zn(II) complexes. The half-maximal inhibitory concentration IC50 of the compounds was determined and used to perform the comet assay, which was carried out to reveal the photo-induced DNA damaging ability of the compounds of individual cells. Moreover, the compounds' effects on antioxidant defense systems of enzymes in cells: superoxide dismutase (SOD), catalase (CAT), and glutathione peroxidase (GPx) activities and oxidant Malondialdehyde (MDA) were examined in MCF-7 cells.ResultsThe Pd(II) complex displayed approximately the same IC50 as Cisplatin, while Zn(II) complex had better activity than Cisplatin with very low IC50, 1.40 μg/ml. Significant alterations in SOD, CAT, GPx, and MDA production were discovered, inducing oxidative stress, enlarging ROS production, and reducing the antioxidant amount. This change was approximately similar in most compounds. Consequently, it promoted apoptosis, particularly the Zn(II) complex, which demonstrated an improved impact because of its ability to influence the antioxidant defense systems of enzymes, mostly SOD and GPx, besides increasing MDA levels.ConclusionIt can be concluded that Zn(II) complex is the most effective anticancer drug since it induced a very similar genotoxic effect as Cisplatin and has a very low IC50 value.  相似文献

We have studied the binding interactions of biologically important carbohydrates (d-glucose, d-xylose and d-mannose) with the newly synthesized five-coordinate dinuclear copper(II) complex, [Cu2(hpnbpda)(μ-OAc)] (1) and zinc(II) complex, [Zn2(hpnbpda)(μ-OAc)] (2) [H3hpnbpda = N,N′-bis(2-pyridylmethyl)-2-hydroxy-1,3-propanediamine-N,N′-diacetic acid] in aqueous alkaline solution. The complexes 1 and 2 are fully characterized both in solid and solution using different analytical techniques. A geometrical optimization was made of the ligand H3hpnbpda and the complexes 1 and 2 by molecular mechanics (MM+) method in order to establish the stable conformations. All carbohydrates bind to the metal complexes in a 1:1 molar ratio. The binding events have been investigated by a combined approach of FTIR, UV–vis and 13C NMR spectroscopic techniques. UV–vis spectra indicate a significant blue shift of the absorption maximum of complex 1 during carbohydrate coordination highlighting the sugar binding ability of complex 1. The apparent binding constants of the substrate-bound copper(II) complexes have been determined from the UV–vis titration experiments. The binding ability and mode of binding of these sugar substrates with complex 2 are indicated by their characteristic coordination induced shift (CIS) values in 13C NMR spectra for carbon atoms C1, C2, and C3 of sugar substrates.  相似文献
