The genetic analyses of nine Far East Asian Saccharomyces isolates allowed us to identify three species (S. cerevisiae, S. paradoxus, and S. bayanus). The occurrence of the last species in Far East Asia was shown for the first time. A new methodology for the molecular genetic differentiation of Saccharomyces sensu stricto species is described. The ecogeographical distribution of Saccharomyces yeasts is discussed.  相似文献

A comparative study of Lachancea kluyveri strains isolated in Europe, North America, Japan, and the Russian Far East was performed using restriction analysis, sequencing of non-coding rDNA regions, molecular karyotyping, and the phylogenetic analysis of the alpha- galactosidase MEL genes. This study showed a close genetic relatedness of these L. kluyveri strains. The chromosomal DNAs of the L. kluyveri strains were found to range in size from 980 to 3100 kb. The haploid number of chromosomes is equal to eight. The IGS2 restriction patterns and single nucleotide substitutions in the ITS1/ITS2 rDNA region correlate neither with geographic origin nor with the source of the strains. The L. kluyveri strains isolated from different sources have a high degree of homology (79-100%) of their MEL genes. The phylogenetic analysis of all of the known alpha-galactosidases in the "Saccharomyces" clade showed that the MEL genes of the yeasts L. kluyveri. L. cidri, Saccharomyces cerevisiae, S. paradoxus, S. bayanus, and S. mikatae are species specific.  相似文献

Two types of nuclear DNA markers, M13 minisatellites and RAPD, were used to examine intraspecific and interspecific variation in closely related roe deer species, Capreolus capreolus L. and C. pygargus Pall. The roe deer populations studied were highly polymorphic for minisatellite DNA markers (S = 0.12-0.36). Heterozygosities of the RAPD loci were 0.185 (Russian Far East), 0.145, 0.131, 0.088 (Cis-Ural), and 0.06 (France). They correlated with karyotypic variation of B chromosomes (r = 0.975, P < 0.02; Spearman's correlation coefficient r = 1, P = 0.1 x 10(-5)), which indicated a contribution of microchromosomes to genetic variation of the species. The genetic distance D between the closely related species C. capreolus and C. pygargus was 50 times greater than the distance between populations within a species. The estimates of heterozygosity and genetic distance between local populations of Cis-Ural and the Far East suggest their specific spatial organization within this geographical range and reveal features of their historical development.  相似文献

In the present study, we successfully amplified the 28S ribosomal DNA of 3 species of the Psilotrema genus (Psilotrema oschmarini Besprozvannykh, 2007, P. acutirostris Oschmarin, 1963 and P. simillimum Muhling, 1989) from the Russian Far East. The genetic divergence between these species was estimated, and the phylogenetic relationships of the Psilotrema genus and the Psilostomatidae family were inferred. The resulting data support the independent taxonomical status of P. oschmarini as a valid species in the Russian Far East. In spite of the considerable morphological differences between P. simillimum and P. acutirostris, these species are genetically very close to each other. Genetic distances, calculated from the pairwise comparison of two obtained clusters using transversions, show that Psilostomatidae is the most divergent family. Phylogenetic analysis revealed two clusters, which corresponds to family Psilostomatidae (basal cluster) and other Echinostomatoidea species.  相似文献

A total of 107 forms of 88 eumenine wasp species occurring in the Far East were used to produce a more comprehensive picture of the geographical pattern of wasps in the Far East. All forms occurring in the Far East were biogeographically classified into 22 types in four larger categories, and a summarized table and discussion are presented. The eumenine wasp fauna of the Far East was characterized as a mixture of a fair number of endemic elements, a moderate number of transpalearctic elements, and some Oriental elements. The endemism of the Far East reached 0.71 at the species/subspecies level when the calculation was based on true Palearctic elements occurring in Far Eastern Russia, the Korean peninsula and Japan proper. The relationship between the Far Eastern fauna and the Central/Western Palearctic faunas was also analyzed and discussed. The species occurring in each treated district was counted, and provides evidence for the importance of the Korean fauna in biodiversity evaluation/estimation of Far Eastern fauna. The similarity index between the Korean Peninsula and Japan proper, the Korean Peninsula and the Russian Far East, and the Russian Far East and Japan proper was calculated to explain possible factors for faunal formation in the Far East. Genetic hybridization, sequence and karyotypic analyses of natural Saccharomyces yeasts isolated in different regions of Taiwan revealed three biological species: Saccharomyces arboricola, Saccharomyces cerevisiae and Saccharomyces kudriavzevii. Intraspecies variability of the D1/D2 and ITS1 rDNA sequences was detected among S. cerevisiae and S. kudriavzevii isolates. According to molecular and genetic analyses, the cosmopolitan species S. cerevisiae and S. kudriavzevii contain local divergent populations in Taiwan, Malaysia and Japan. Six of the seven known Saccharomyces species are documented in East Asia: S. arboricola, S. bayanus, S. cerevisiae, S. kudriavzevii, S. mikatae, and S. paradoxus.  相似文献

Earthworms are among the most abundant and ecologically important invasive species, and are therefore a good object for studying genetic processes in invasive populations. Aporrectodea caliginosa is one of the most widespread invasive earthworms in the temperate zone. It is believed to have dispersed from Europe to all continents except Antarctica. It is known that A. caliginosa consists of three genetic lineages, and genetic diversity is high both among and between them. We attempted to use that high genetic diversity to study A. caliginosa dispersal in the Palearctic based on a sample of 40 localities ranging from eastern Europe to the Russian Far East, and to compare our data to other studies on this species in western Europe and North America. Two genetic lineages were found in the studied sample. Only negligible decrease in genetic diversity was observed for the lineage 2 of A. caliginosa from West Europe to the Far East, suggesting multiple human-mediated introductions. In contrast, lineage 3 is abundant in West Europe and Belarus, but is absent from the East European Plain, the Urals, and the Far East. However, it is present in West Siberia, where it has greatly reduced genetic diversity, indicating long-distance dispersal accompanied by a bottleneck event. Thus, although these two lineages of A. caliginosa are morphologically indistinguishable, they have dramatic differences in their distributions and dispersal histories.  相似文献

A putative new limpet species (Patellogastropoda) from the Sea of Japan is revealed by molecular genetic analyses using the mitochondrial markers 16S rRNA and cytochrome c oxidase subunit I (CO1), as well as the DNA marker 18SrRNA. Our data indicate that the limpet, collected in the Peter the Great Bay (Russian Federation), is not, as its morphology suggests, the Japanese species Lottia kogamogaiSasaki and Okutani, 1994, and might also hint towards another putative species complex in the Sea of Japan. The different currents between the Far East Asian mainland (cold, subpolar jet running southwards) and the Japanese archipelago (warm, subtropical jet running northwards) are likely to act as a barrier that has a substantial influence on species distribution in these waters. Accordingly, our results indicate that it is about time for a revision of patellogastropod species with a reported distribution in Japanese and Far Eastern Russian waters by an integrative approach using molecular genetic and morphological characters. The species investigated herein is referred to as Lottia cf. kogamogai until it is morphologically re‐examined and compared with primary type specimens of known species.  相似文献

The phylogeographic structures of taiga species often support the hypothesis of East Palaearctic refugia for these taxa, but the phylogeographic structures of northern temperate and southern boreal bog species are still poorly understood. Therefore, we analysed the genetic diversity and differentiation of a stenotopic damselfly, Nehalennia speciosa, across its trans‐Palaearctic range by means of sequencing two mitochondrial gene fragments, 16S rRNA‐ND1 and cytochrome c oxidase II. Only four single nucleotide polymorphisms were detected over the 1130 sequenced nucleotides. This low genetic diversity and differentiation and thus the lack of phylogeographic structure imply postglacial expansion from a single Würm Ice Age refugium, most likely located in the Far East of Asia, i.e. Manchurian refugium. From here, the species could have colonized large parts of the Palaearctics, including Europe, during the postglacial.  相似文献

The work is devoted to a problem of study of the taxonomy phytopathogenic viruses of Far East. The performance to genera, species and strain of viruses identified in Far East region is briefly given. A genus Potyvirus in more detail is described, as the greatest number identified on Far East phytoviruses is included into structure of this genus. In the given article the classification phythopathogenic of Russian Far East is represented, for which basis the classification of viruses of the message of International Committee on the taxonomy of viruses (1995) is taken.  相似文献

The genetic variability of brown bear Ursus arctos from the southern part of the Russian Far East was first examined based on the variations in the mitochondrial DNA cytochrome b sequence. The presence of two phylogenetic groups of haplotypes described previously for other parts of the species range was demonstrated. Part of the samples belonged to the haplotype group distributed across the whole range, while another part belonged to the rare group previously only reported for Japan and Alaska. These findings partially clarify the pattern of brown-bear colonization on the territory of the Russian Far East and Japan.  相似文献

A review of the species of the genus Hoplia from the Russian Far East is given. Lectotypes are designated for Anisoplia cincticollis Faldermann and Hoplia djukini Jacobson. An account is given of the present state of Pseudotorellia Florin (Ginkgophyta). The necessity to limit the use of this generic name to leaves, which have been studied with regard to their microscopical characters, is particularly emphasized. Pseudotorellia comprises at present seven valid species from Spitzbergen, East Greenland, Sweden, Poland, and the U.S.S.R. (Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan, and the Bureja basin in the Soviet Far East). The range of the species is Rhaetic to Lower Cretaceous. No remains of the genus are known from the Southern Hemisphere.  相似文献

Considerable amounts of molecular and genetic data indicate that interspecific hybridisation may not be rare among natural strains of Saccharomyces sensu stricto. Although a post-zygotic barrier operating during meiosis usually prevents the production of viable spores, stable hybrids can arise which can even evolve into distinct species. This study was aimed to analyse the genome of a fertile Saccharomyces cerevisiae x S. uvarum hybrid and monitor its changes over four filial generations of viable spores. The molecular genetic analysis demonstrated that the two species did not contribute equally to the formation and stabilisation of the hybrid genome. S. cerevisiae provided the mitochondrial DNA and the more stable part of the nuclear genome. The S. uvarum part of the hybrid nuclear genome became progressively smaller by loosing complete chromosomes and genetic markers in the course of successive meiotic divisions. Certain S. uvarum chromosomes were eliminated and/or underwent rearrangements in interactions with S. cerevisiae chromosomes. Numerous S. uvarum chromosomes acquired S. cerevisiae telomere sequences. The gradual elimination of large parts of the S. uvarum genome was associated with a progressive increase of sporulation efficiency. We hypothesise that this sort of genomic alterations may contribute to speciation in Saccharomyces sensu stricto.  相似文献

A comparative molecular genetic study of cultured Saccharomyces strains isolated from the surface of berries and various fermentation processes showed that baker's yeast and black-currant isolates contain not only Saccharomyces cerevisiae but also S. cerevisiae and S. bayanus var. uvarum hybrids. The molecular karyotyping of baker's, brewer's, and wine yeasts showed their polyploidy. The restriction enzyme analysis of noncoding rDNA regions (5.8S-ITS and IGS2) makes it possible to differentiate species of the genus Saccharomyces and to identify interspecies hybrids. The microsatellite primer (GTG)5 can be used to study the populations of cultured S. cerevisiae strains.  相似文献

Intraspecific genetic diversity and phylogeography of Corvus corone was investigated using the mitochondrial (mt) control region as a molecular marker. A split into two distinct mt lineages was observed. One represents individuals from a wide geographic range spanning from England to the Russian Far East (Kamchatka), while the other one was found in the Primorye and Khabarovsk regions (southern parts of Russian Far East) as well as Japan. For comparison, we investigated several widespread Palearctic corvid taxa with respect to their phylogeographic patterns. A deep split into two lineages was revealed in five cases: Besides C. corone, within Corvus frugilegus, Pica pica, and between the species pairs Corvus monedula-Corvus dauuricus and Cyanopica cyanus-Cyanopica cooki. Although these taxa display a variety of distribution patterns, from disjunct, para/allopatric to continuous, the genetic pattern and level of divergence between clades is very similar. This implies that the differentiation started in about the same time range. In contrast, no differentiation into highly divergent lineages was detected in Corvus corax, Perisoreus infaustus, and Nucifraga caryocatactes. We try to explain the two phylogeographic patterns in corvid birds with ecological factors accompanying the changing climatic conditions during the Pleistocene. The deep genetic splits within several widely distributed Palearctic corvids are discussed with respect to taxonomic questions.  相似文献

The genetic variability of the greater long-tailed hamster Tscherskia triton of the peripheral population of the southern Russian Far East is evaluated compared to the central populations of China based on the nucleotide sequences of the control region of mitochondrial DNA. The high genetic diversity of the population of the southern part of Russian Far East is established, which does not confirm a hypothesis on reduction of the diversity in the peripheral populations. The presence of three phylogroups is discovered: one within Russia (“northern”) and two within China (“central” and “southern”). A deletion, absent in other taxonomically distant groups of the Old and New World and acquired by the greater long-tailed hamster over the course of its evolutionary history, is present in certain populations of this species. A preliminary hypothesis, according to which the contemporary structure of this species is determined not only by topographical and climatic events, but by human activity as well, is formulated.  相似文献

The insect fauna of the Russian Far East comprises 634 families from 31 orders. The estimated species number is 31500. The largest orders are Hymenoptera (76 families, 9000 estimated species), Diptera (120 families, 8000 estimated species), Coleoptera (114 families, 5500 estimated species), and Lepidoptera (81 families, 5000 estimated species). The fractions of the main insect orders in the fauna of the Russian Far East correspond to those in the Holarctic temperate zone. The high biodiversity of insects in the Russian Far East results from the position of this region extending across several climatic zones. There are four levels of diversity both for the families and for the species, corresponding to the tundra, taiga, the transitional area between taiga and broadleaved forests, and the broadleaved forest zone. The number of insect families increases by 3 times while that of species increases by 20 times from the tundra to the broadleaved forests. Differentiation of the insect fauna of the Russian Far East results from the recent climatic situation (the influence of the Pacific monsoon) and the geologic history (broadleaved forest refugia resulting from the absence of complete ice cover during Pleistocenic glaciation in the south of the Russian Far East); it reflects deep faunistic connections of the eastern Palaearctic with the Nearctic and Oriental Regions. The mountain areas in the North Pacific are the refugia of the Mesozoic and Tertiary insect faunas. The Pacific may have substantially reduced the Cenozoic aridization in the northern hemisphere, which was one of the important factors of formation of the recent biota in the Palaearctic and Nearctic regions.  相似文献
